Thousands of years later, The Fallen sent the Decepticons to Earth to capture [[Sam Witwicky]], the human boy who now possessed the knowledge and power contained within the [[AllSpark (Movie)|All Spark]]. It was hoped that the boy's knowledge would lead them to the lost [[Matrix of Leadership]], which could activate the Solar Harvester and revitalise the dying Cybertronian race.

[[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]] and [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]] flew atop the pyramid, surveying the area as [[NEST]]/[[Autobot]] and [[Decepticon]] forces prepared for [[Operation: Firestorm|battle]]. When Megatron gave the order to attack, the [[Constructicon (ROTF)|Constructicon]]s arrived, combined into [[Devastator (ROTF)|Devastator]] and began clambering from a quarry onto the pyramid, while Megatron fended off a [[Jordan]]ian Royal Air Force helicopter. It crashed near former [[Sector Seven]] agent [[Seymour Simmons]], who used their radio to contact the [[United States Navy]] for assistance. Devastator climbed to the pyramid's peak and began sucking up the stones, uncovering the [[solar harvester]] within.

Although the [[United States Navy#U.S.S. Kidd (DDG-100)|U.S.S. ''Kidd'']] fired her experimental [[Wikipedia:railgun|railgun]], the harvester was exposed and The Fallen activated it with the Matrix of Leadership. The [[United States military]] unleashed everything it had in the area, but they were no match for The Fallen's awesome telekinetic powers, and only a blast from [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]], using parts donated by the late [[Jetfire (ROTF)|Jetfire]], destroyed the harvester, taking part of the pyramid with it.
