Fumihiko Tachiki (立木 文彦 Tachiki Fumihiko) is a Japanese voice actor and narrator born April 29, 1961, in Nagasaki, Japan. Known for his low voice, he was originally a blues singer before taking up voice acting, rising to prominence in such roles as Kenpachi Zaraki in Bleach, Yūichi Kirisaki in Yakitate! Japan, Sloth in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and of course, Gendo Ikari in Neon Genesis Evangelion, as well as the narrator (and Gaia Memory voices in the latter) of Kamen Rider Kuuga & Kamen Rider Double. Canada is like the United States of America, but bigger, politer, and health care-ier. In retaliation, the United States wears Canada like a hat, eh?

Toronto is Canada's largest city, eh? (Yes, there are cities littered aboot the country!)

Non-fiction, eh?
Canada has had a surprisingly large behind-the-scenes role in producing Transformers. It is home of Mainframe Entertainment, who produced the Beast Wars and Beast Machines television series. It was also home to the now-defunct Dreamwave Productions whose top-selling 2002 Generation 1 revival comic led directly to the production of the 2007 movie. Several Transformers voice actors and comic artists also call Canada home.

During the tail end of Generation 1, Canada received several toys the U.S. did not, like the Turbomasters. Generally speaking, U.S. exclusives tend to turn up at Canadian retail, with Wal-Mart and Toys R Us keeping their exclusives and Target exclusives winding up at Zellers, a Canadian chain.

Due to Canada being a bilingual country, it's always had multilingual packaging. The toys also required multilingual character names for a long time.
noteukonly
There are lots of polar bears, eh?

When Ratchet blew up the Ark like a shaken-up bottle of beer, it crashed somewhere in northern Canada. The Ark, not the beer, 'cause that'd be a waste of good beer. But Galvatron survived the crash, and since he's like, a big hoser, he killed a bunch of Canadian army guys. Then Spike Witwicky and Fortress Maximus came and beat him up and tossed him in a lake, and that was pretty much it for Galvatron. The Last Autobot?
The Autobot group led by Ginrai first met up with Ranger in the vast Canadian forests and Lightfoot at his father's motor company. Both learned aboot their ability to "God On" with their Transtectors soon after. An Enemy? The Third Godmaster, Ranger

Lightfoot's father moved from England to Canada to fulfill his dream of starting a car company, this apparently being more achievable in Canada. The resulting company is the prestigious British Motors, which is a perfectly logical name for a company started in Canada. Lightfoot: A Dramatic Encounter
Devastator is an immensely powerful warrior, and in that sense the combination of the Constructicons into a merged being is a huge success. Mentally, on the other hand, he's very much less than the sum of his parts. Devastator's primitive psyche is limited to only the thoughts and actions on which all his components can agree, which results in raging bouts of destructive fury. Given the sheer power Devastator brings to these rages, Megatron has no complaints.

Megatron had the Constructicons built on Earth to steal high-tech electronic components for his Power chip rectifier furnace, as well as tunelling under the Ark to destroy Teletraan-1. Teletraan-I, sensing the imminent danger, activates the Dinobots. The Dinobots respond and start pounding on the Constructicons opening up a lava channel in the process. The battle not going in their favor, the Constructicons pull out one last trick and combine into the super warrior, Devastator.

The returning Autobots see the battle, but are unable to help. Inside the Ark, Teletraan-I is able to show that Megatron cheated, and the Autobots rush outside to help the Dinobots.

(Devastator is referred to as one of the Nine Great Demon Generals. This terminology, coupled with the presence of the previously deceased Black Zarak in their ranks and Violen Jygar's supernatural origins, could mean that Devastator died previously to Zone and was likewise brought back to life. However, this is unconfirmed, meaning that Violen Jygar may have simply recruited the still-living Devastator to be a General.)

Devastator was selected by Violen Jygar as one of his 9 Decepticon Demon-Generals. Gifted with a new bitchin' drill-weapon and armor, Violen Jygar sent Devastator to the Earth to steal the Zodiac before the Autobots could get it. Devastator drilled deep within the planet, reaching the Zodiac's chamber, and went toe-to-toe with Dai Atlas. He managed to get the Zodiac first and pass it off to King Poseidon. Devastator had the upper hand in battle until Dai Atlas opened a vein of hot lava upon the Decepticon. Devastator was washed-away in the molten magma, apparantly killed by it.

He also destroyed the World Trade Center by flying through it. That damn terrorist!
Dreamwave comics continuity
After Megatron freed the other Decepticons from Adam Rook's control, he sent Devastator down the west coast of North America. Along the way, Devastator destroyed a US Navy submarine, before arriving at his destination, San Francisco.

Devastator helped destroy the city until he was initially stopped by Superion, and finally put into stasis lock when Optimus Prime blew up his head.

: Normally, Devastator could only be assembled by buying all six individual Constructicons with the additional large-scale weapons components that were assigned to them. However, six-robot gift sets were made available in many markets, including the US, Japan, and several European countries.

: Devastor's forearms are also spring-loaded missile launchers, able to fire his fists as well as his drill attachments. He also comes armed with a large purple laser rifle.
: Unlike the later Scramble City-style combiners, Devastator's limbs cannot be rearranged into any other configuations.
Generation 2
*Devastator (1993)
: During Generation 2, the Constructicons were only available as individuals, never as a giftset. The team was released in two different colors, initially in yellow, then later in bright orange. All individual members are tampographed with the G2 Decepticon symbol and the words 'Decepticon'.

: Since the original combiner contains only five robots, the Constructicon team here contains only Bonecrusher, Hightower (who may or may not be related to Hook and/or Mixmaster as his bio seems to combine attributes of both), Long Haul, Scavenger and Scrapper. * Though a yellow version of the Constructicons were released in the European market at the tail end of Generation 1, they did not come with any of the parts to form Devastator. In fact, Scavenger and Hook had the connector parts on their actual toys removed.

* It has been rumored that the orange Generation 2 Constructions were a Kay-Bee Toys exclusive, but this is unconfirmed.
