The Wreckers are a special task force, generally composed of the best and the toughest die-hard fighters around. The Wreckers tend to be a close knit combat unit that considers themselves the best of the best. They're often called in to fight when the odds of success are slim at best.

Although the exact member list has varied between continuities, certain Transformers are fairly consistently listed as members: [[Springer]] (usually the leader), [[Topspin]], [[Twin Twist]], [[Whirl]] and [[Roadbuster]] among them.

Assigned to [[Varas_Centralus|Varas Centralus]] after the Decepticon infiltration on that planet goes to Phase Six, they are pulled out and sent back to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] at the order of [[Optimus_Prime_(G1)|Optimus Prime]] when the Autobot leader suspects that [[Thunderwing_(G1)|Thunderwing]] himself may be somehow returning.

The Wreckers arrive just in time to save [[Nosecone]] and [[Afterburner]]. They then proceed to effectively take [[Bludgeon]]'s team appart without breaking a sweat.

'''Swoop''' is the friendliest and most outgoing of the Dinobots. He's surprisingly good natured, kind, and upbeat. Few of his commrades realize this however, as his team's reputation and his alt-form, considered (for some reason) particularly "horrifying" to Transformer aesthetics, makes others wary of getting close enought to learn about the bot himself. Swoop in an excillent aerial combatant and bombardier, and has become skilled at using the fear his alt-mode creates in battle. He considers it his greatest weapon. Like all the Dinobots, Swoop tends to be arrogant, disobediant, and generally disagree with [[Optimus Prime]]'s leadership style. He's also a bit of a show-off.

'''Star Wars''' is the catch-all banner for an intergallactic conflict between several factions of humanoid aliens and robots engaged in an intergalactic war.

Many of the main "star warriors" fight using Transformer-like battle mecha that change from space vehicles to combat robots. These mecha are piloted from within and are not apparently sentient beings like true Transformers. The pilots trigger their vehicle's transformation by summoning something called "The Force." Rather unique to this conflict, many of the key figures in these Star Wars pilot clearly customized mecha whose robot modes are based closely on their own physical appearance.

Similar to the inhabitants of [[Femax]], these fearsome beings, while being in many cases strikingly human-like, appear to be of a gigantic stature, dwarfing many Transformers. This came to light when, along with their own internal conflicts, they also battled the Transformers of the [[Unicron Trilogy]] universe directly, as depicted in the Star Wars vs. Transformers [[Attacktix]] game. Whether the star warriors are native to the Unicron Trillogy universe or traveled to it from elsewhere remains unknown.

Predacon (G1)

The Generation 1 Predacons were a sub-team of Decepticons consisting of Razorclaw (lion/leader), Rampage (tiger), Divebomb (vulture), Tantrum (bull), and Headstrong (rhino). They could combine to form Predaking.

They were often used in the fiction as foils to be set against either Sky Lynx or the Dinobots.

The Predacons were the largest G1 combiners, each aproximately the size of a Mega/Voyager toy of the modern era and some runs incorperating die-cast metal. Predaking was thus the most impressive combined robot in terms of size and weight in the Generation 1 line.

== Comics ==

In the UK G1 comics the Predacon Divebomb was revealed to have stolen that name from the Dinobot Swoop after defeating him on Cybertron. This lead to a rivalry between the two and between their teams.

In the second Dreamwave War Within miniseries Starscream was revealed to have lead a splinter-faction that called itself the Predacons back in the early days of the war.

== Beast Wars ==

Hasbro reused the name "Predacons" for the Beast Wars era faction decended for the Decepticons.
