The alliance between humans and Autobots grows as a Decepticon threat arrives on Earth.

Synopsis
On several places in the world—in Italy, San Francisco, Africa, China, the South American rain forest and Sydney, Australia—Decepticons land on Earth in comet form. On the devastated Sector Seven base in the Nevada desert, Ironhide has arrived and is tending Bumblebee, whose vocal processor has been damaged in battle with Starscream. Meanwhile, Salani, the soldier Lennox had assigned to stay at the base, is retrieving injured Sector Seven operatives, while Agent Simmons is sitting nearby, silently complaining about those robots' manners. When Salani calls him, Simmons secretly hides Frenzy's head, which is lying nearby. Salani informs Simmons that many Sector Seven personnel have been killed, among them Professor Vine. Simmons, however, is mostly interested in finding the Allspark fragment. At this moment, Lennox, Epps, Optimus Prime and Ratchet arrive at the devastated base. Lennox hands Simmons a radio that connects him to Defense Secretary Keller, who informs Simmons that Sector Seven has been disbanded with immediate effect, and he has put Lennox in charge of the operation. Simmons drives off, keeping Frenzy's head with him. Shortly afterward, Salani returns with the Allspark fragment, which he has found in the lab, and hands it back to Optimus Prime. The remains of Wreckage and the Landmine units are loaded onto flatbed trucks.

Two weeks later, Lennox has to explain himself to his superiors via video conference, because he wants to cooperate with the Autobots — the military still has a problem telling Autobots and Decepticons apart. Lennox and the Autobots are on board of an aircraft carrier. A crane dumps Optimus Prime's trailer in the ocean, which contains the remains of Jazz. Optimus thanks the soldier for participating in his first lieutenant's funeral. Afterwards, the Decepticons' remains are dumped in the ocean. Back under deck, Lennox informs Optimus that many comets have entered Earth's atmosphere recently. Lennox's superiors want the Autobots and the US armed forces to form a defense alliance against the Decepticons. As a basis for their cooperation, Lennox demands mutual trust, which Optimus willingly agrees to.

Meanwhile, in Italy, a racing car breaks through the barrier of a military base, followed by two Decepticons in robot form. Fracture informs her two partners that she has found suitable alternate modes for them. At the same time, Decepticons also destroy military bases in other parts of the world and scan new disguises—Overcast in Japan, Jetstorm in the Middle East and Dropkick and Incinerator in Florida. Back in Italy, Gunbarrel and Reverb have assumed their new Earth forms and join Fracture, who informs the other Decepticons that they will need a distraction. In San Francisco, Swindle and Dead End are driving on the Golden Gate Bridge, letting each other know how much they hate each other, and prepare for the distraction Fracture asked about.

On the island Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, a US military base in the Indian Ocean, Lennox, Epps and other soldiers are training together with the Autobots. While Ironhide congratulates Bumblebee for a good shot, a promoted Major Lennox discusses the future of their alliance with Optimus Prime. The Allspark fragment is also stored in a facility on the island. When Lennox asks Optimus about the Autobots he called to Earth, Optimus replies that he hopes they will arrive soon. At the same time, what appears to be an Autobot probe has landed on a scrap yard near Mission City. Suddenly, Lennox receives a distress call: An explosion has occurred at a gas station in San Francisco, and footage from a surveillance camera shows a Decepticon whom Ironhide instantly identifies as Swindle. Lennox promptly orders his team to roll out.
Items of note
* The commanding admiral of the fleet that dumps the Decepticons' remain into the ocean is named Morshower, possibly after actor Glenn Morshower, who played Colonel Sharp in the 2007 Transformers movie.
* Some of the Decepticons sport different real-world alternate modes compared to their toys to better fit the hardware in use in whatever nation they landed in.
* On page 18, Swindle clearly sports Chevrolet logos in vehicle mode, unlike his toy.
* On the same page, "Dead End" is clearly based on an Alfa Romeo (possibly a 147), including a simplified manufacturer logo, even though the Jolt toy he shares his color scheme with is based on a Bugatti Veyron.
* Gunbarrel and Reverb are based on redecos of Energon Kickback and Stormcloud, respectively. They were intended to be released as part of wave 5 of the Target Exclusive Scouts from the Movie toyline, but even though leaked samples surfaced in June 2008, they were never officially released. The names were later officially confirmed by an updated checklist on Hasbro's public website.
* Given Optimus Prime's belief of freedom being the right for all sentient beings, he might be very unimpressed with his human allies if he investigated the history of Diego Garcia.
Transformers Animated is the latest television-supported Transformers franchise, which began in December 2007. The latest re-imagining of the Transformers brand brings a highly dynamic and stylized look to the toys and fiction.

The franchise consists of the following components:

*A cartoon series
*Three comic book series
*A toyline
*Several books

The cartoon began with a 3-episode mini-movie, first aired on Cartoon Network on December 26, 2007, and followed by a full 13-episode season, which started airing in January. The toyline, however, did not hit stores till the late spring of 2008, due to the ongoing popularity of the 2007 movie toys.

The series has adopted a new visual art style and form of storytelling which has not been used before in Transformers. The changes in design were created in an attempt to attract the modern youth viewer. The new art style incorporates a more "organic" feel to the Transformer characters. This style of art and character movement was introduced to emphasize dramatic movements and to allow the animator to express more emotion than in previous series.

Reception
On January 25, 2008 the first regular episode of the Transformers Animated cartoon premiered as the #1 boys show in its time slot, significantly better ratings than previous CN programming.
* An early working title for this incarnation was Transformers: Heroes
The full episode had been promised and secured by Hasbro Nordic for the event, but Hasbro US overruled them in the last second, allowing only an abbreviated and for the event created edit to be shown.

Alpha Trion is a member of the Autobot High Council, presiding over serious matters indeed. He is head of all of the civilian guilds that make up the non-military portion of the council, making him the highest ranking non-military authority on Cybertron, answerable only to Ultra Magnus.
Alpha Trion was present at the council meeting where Ultra Magnus announced that the likely coordinated attacks on space bridges by the Decepticons were the work of a spy in their midst. He gave Longarm Prime an odd look when the security director rather abruptly demanded that all communications from Optimus Prime's crew on Earth be filtered through him, "no exceptions". TransWarped
Alpha Trion, Perceptor and Cliffjumper had a "council" talk regarding how they didn't want Sentinel Prime as commander. During Sentinel's parade through a Cybertronian city with Blitzwing and the Starscream clones, Alpha Trion and Perceptor seemed less than impressed by the temporary Magnus's attitude. Decepticon Air
This Is Why I Hate Machines

Alpha Trion was given his first real assessment of Sentinel Prime's ability to lead when Omega Supreme appeared over the capital city under the control of Megatron. Sentinel advocated that they attack immediately and end the threat of Megatron at once. However, Ratchet, Omega's former mentor-bot, in the company of a small organic, said that Omega had absorbed so much transwarp energy that destroying the huge Autobot could take Cybertron with him. Alpha Trion announced that the High Council would deliberate on its options. Ratchet, however, broke out in an attempt to make contact with Omega Supreme, and Sentinel Prime diverted all essential energon to Fortress Maximus, ultimately firing on Omega Supreme, who transwarped away. After that, Alpha Trion made sure that it was known that Ratchet and the organic were the real heroes of the day, and reprimanded Sentinel for disregarding the Council's authority. Sentinel shot back that he'd repeat his actions again if it meant saving Cybetron, and Alpha Trion made his position very clear: if it were up to him, Sentinel would never get that chance. This Is Why I Hate Machines
Trivia
*With his age catching up to him, Alpha Trion is considering retiring to an Energon farm or merging with Vector Sigma.
