I think Cybertron should be defined as its own continuity Seperate from the Armada/Energon Story, Outside of the Comic and Toy Package references the Cartoon has far too many Historical Diferences, like the folowing:

-The first Episode Optimus talks as if they will be the first Autobots on Earth and must remain hidden from the population (by the time of Energon Tranformers were puplic knowledge on Earth)

-Minicons come from Giant Planet, as opposed to Unicron himself

-When Leobreaker and Optimus first Link-up they all act as if this is unheard of, this was later ignored when Wingsaber and Optimus talked about a Accidental Power Linking they previously shared. (Power Linking for Optimus was a Minor Part of Armada, and a Major part for all Autobots in Energon)

- Their Earth Allies from Armada/Energon (Rad, Carlos, Alexis, Kicker and the rest of the Jones Family) are not seen or mentioned at all

:It should be noted that at no point during the Energon cartoon is the existance of Transformers demonstrated to be public knowledge. Every human they're seen with is working for the Earth Federation's energon projects. --KilMichaelMcC 13:48, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

spoiler
* Rad, Carlos, Alexis, and Kicker ARE seen in the final episode of Cybertron, in scenes added to the American version.
* In the Fan Club Cybertron comic, Vector Prime explains that the Unicron Singularity is causing memory glitches in the Autobots as time and space is distorted.
* Armada and Energon have lots of continuity contradictions, too. Oh, and let's not even get into the continuity/origin contradictions in the G1 cartoon from season to season.
* Hasbro says they're the same story. 'Nuff said.
--ItsWalky 13:42, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

:::Nuff said indeed. The one thing that irritates me more than GEEWUNISM are the fans who are so obsessed that they think it is their right to control what Transformers can and cannot do. Like it or not, it belongs to Hasbro and if they say that Optimus Prime was a truck driver stuck in a time warp that got fused with his delivery vehicle, then it happened. You can't just say what did or did not happen because you happen to dislike the direction. I would have MUCH preferred that Cybertron have been handled more closely as a sequel, but I openly accept Fun Publication's explanations for the continuity errors.
He has a quirky and sarcastic personality, often leading to harsh punishment by his commander. Cyclonus served Megatron throughout the Unicron Battles, and was a key player in the united Armada against the chaos-bringer. Cyclonus returned in the Energon story as the guardian of the Cybertron City based on the moon. Although he served his purpose, he was yearning for the days of combat. Not long after the attacks on Mars and Asteroid City, the moon would be attacked too. Cyclonus would hold up a small resistance before he was presumed destroyed. As Demolishor prepared for more Terrorcon assaults on Earth, Cyclonus surfaced, having tucked tail and ran, abandoning the Cybertron City on the moon to be looted of its Energon. Cyclonus assisted Demolishor and the Autobots until Tidal Wave showed up weilding the Megatron Sword granted by Alpha-Q. Believing that it was proof of Megatron, Cyclonus abandoned the Autobots and Demolishor, joining Alpha-Q.

Cyclonus would once again serve Megatron when the commander was revived within Unicron for some time before sustaining damages from an Autobot assault while retreating. Having failed to topple the Energon towers, Cyclonus returned injured to his commander, begging for repairs. In a rage, Megatron bound Cyclonus to the wall using Unicron's internal tentacles as punishment. Cyclonus was then fused with Unicron's essense in a painful manner and upgraded into Snowcat.
Cyclonus is a wild soldier under Megatron's rank. He is closely partnered with his comrade Demolishor, whom he sometimes shares a love/hate relationship with. He is known for having a maniacal personality and will often fire at targets frantically, risking damage to his own teammates. He has a quirky and sarcastic personality, often leading to harsh punishment by his commander. Cyclonus served Megatron throughout the Unicron Battles, and was a key player in the united Armada against the chaos-bringer. His alternator form is a helicopter, and he often took pleasure in tormenting the three Armada kids.
Coby fixed Landmine, not Bud. Also changed the entry, as robots can't really "bruise". Also removed or will change the mention of Landquake, since that character has not existed anywhere outside of that bio on the Hasbro website. It was just a way to make the Landmine repaint a double character for those who prefer that over upgrades. In the Unicron Trilogy, Landquake has been characterized as that new Decepticon combiner limb that has Omnicon powers.

From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki, a Wikia wiki.

Landmine is a construction vehicle that lives by a soldier's code. He thrives on honor and loyalty to his comrades and commanders. When Rodimus left Cybertron at the end of the first era, Landmine was one of the Transformers who chose to go with him. Serving as a traffic guard until the war escalated, Landmine boarded Rodimus' vessel along with his co-worker and partner, Prowl, a patrol officer. Landmine would become Rodimus' right-hand soldier and his personal bodyguard.

Landmine returned to Cybertron during the Powerlinx Battles to assist Rodimus in reviving Unicron and the Planet Q system. Although Landmine served his commander without question, he was sometimes unsure of their mission agenda. Landmine joined Optimus Prime's team when Rodimus surrendered his leadership to Prime. Landmine is one of the oldest Autobots currently serving the armed forces of Cybertron.
When a massive black hole threatened Cybertron, Landmine was quick to aid his commander in trying to solve this enormous problem. Now under the command of Optimus Prime in Rodimus' absense, Landmine has opened up more to his new friends. No longer a stranger to Optimus Prime's men, he has become a soldier and a mentor to the others due to his age, also revealing he once trained Optimus Prime in his youth. At the start, Landmine was attacked by Starscream and was nearly flung into the black hole, only to be saved by a warp-gate from Vector Prime's sword.

Landmine ended up crashing on Earth, marking the first time he would set foot on this planet(Landmine did visit the moon in Energon, but never the Earth). Injured in the crash, Landmine would be found by Coby, Bud and Lori. After being patched up by Coby, Landmine would spend most of the series healing, but eager to get back at Starscream for trying to toss him into the massive black hole.

Landmine, being an elder Autobot, was also the teacher of the soldier Mudflap, who he eventually coaxed back to the Autobot force before they departed for Gigantion. Landmine would be instrumental in obtaining the Giant Planet Key, growing to super-size to defend it from Starscream.

Hot Rod is an Autobot in the Generation 1 continuity. He has also been known as Rodimus Prime, Rodimus, and Rodimus Major.

Hot Rod is brash and headstrong, with an overwhelming self-confidence that borders on arrogance. Kup has assumed the role of mentor and advisor to the impetuous young Hot Rod, offering him wisdom and advice when he needs it (though Hot Rod rarely feels that he does, much to Kup's annoyance). Arcee, a female Autobot, also serves as a calming influence on Hot Rod, and tends to either worry about him when he is not around, or deride and tease him when he is. Their relationship is antagonistic, but friendly. Exactly how deep Hot Rod's feelings for Arcee might run is unknown, whether they be friendly, romantic, or otherwise.

In contrast, his Rodimus Prime persona - while still headstrong and stubborn - seems to suffer from a severe lack of confidence, often doubting his own decisions and expressing distress over his position as an Autobot leader. Of course, much of this comes from having immediately succeeded leadership from Optimus Prime, and shoes-to-be-filled don't get much bigger than that.

One thing that both sides of this Autobot's identity have in common is their impatience - neither Hot Rod nor Rodimus Prime can stand to wait around when they could be doing something instead. He is also very self-reliant, rarely sending others to do anything when he could be doing it himself.

His Targetmaster partner is Firebolt.

Hot Rod was one of the many Autobots based in Autobot City, on Earth. He was close friends with the young human Daniel Witwicky, and seemed to have a reputation for being something of a trouble-maker, judging from a few of Kup's comments to him at the time. Realising that the Decepticons were invading, Hot Rod opened fire on their stolen shuttle and exposed their ruse before Megatron could enter the city. Although this did give the rest of the Autobots time to begin transforming Autobot City and raising their defences, it also left Hot Rod trapped outside with Kup and Daniel. After defeating the Decepticons Blitzwing and Shrapnel with some help from Kup, Hot Rod managed to find a way inside the fortress city and took part in its defense. During Optimus Prime's battle with Megatron, Hot Rod intervened in an attempt to help, but succeeded only in giving Megatron the chance he needed to mortally wound the Autobot leader.

After Prime's death, Autobot City was attacked again - by Galvatron. While escaping, Hot Rod and Kup (and the Dinobots) were seperated from the rest of the Autobots and crashed on the planet Quintessa. There, Hot Rod met the Quintessons, an enemy who would haunt him for some time later. After escaping their sadistic trial and attempted execution (as well as meeting Wheelie), Hot Rod went on to the planet Junk, where he was just in time to stop Wreck-Gar from destroying the rest of the Autobot City refugees with a timely use of the Universal Greeting. Together, they all travelled to Cybertron to stop Unicron before he could eat more than just its moons.

Inside of Unicron, Hot Rod was seperated from the rest of his team when their ship crashed (something which happens to Hot Rod a lot). Alone, he found himself facing Galvatron in a battle to the death over the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Claiming the Matrix, Hot Rod evolved into "Rodimus Prime", an older, larger, and more powerful version of himself, and used the power of the Matrix to destroy both Galvatron and Unicron once and for all (supposedly).

Peace reigned on Cybertron for at least long enough to put up some of the more important buildings, and Rodimus Prime began to ease into his role as the new Autobot leader. When Ultra Magnus and Spike Witwicky were kidnapped during a peace celebration, it was Rodimus who spied on the Decepticons with Grimlock to determine if they were the ones who had done it. The way Rodimus had it figured, the Decepticons were usually behind everything anyway, so they seemed like a good enough place to start. After getting caught and severely beaten by the Decepticons (who were innocent of the kidnapping, but not really fans of his anyway), Rodimus was able to interface with the Matrix and learned about the origins of the Transformer race. He also learned that his old enemies, the Quintessons, were back and looking to destroy every Transformer in existence. Making things worse, Galvatron soon returned as well, and the war that everyone had assumed was safely over quickly started up again.

During this period, Rodimus Prime's greatest achievements both revolved around his predecessor, Optimus Prime. While fleeing from a Decepticon attack, Rodimus and several other Autobots took refuge in a massive Autobot crypt and discovered that their former leader seemed to have returned to life. Perhaps a little too trusting of Optimus (and possibly eager to relieve himself of the burden of leadership), Rodimus quickly passed the Matrix back to Optimus and, much to his glee, reverted back into Hot Rod. His happiness was short-lived, however, as Optimus was quickly revealed to be nothing more than a puppet of the Quintessons, sent to trick the Autobots into an ambush from which none of them would escape. With no other choice, Hot Rod was forced to do battle with Optimus Prime for the fate of the Autbots. Although their duel was clearly in the favour of the more powerful Optimus, Hot Rod was able to re-awaken the true spirit of his leader. Returning the Matrix to Rodimus, Optimus then piloted his ship into the heart of the ambush and sacrificed himself to save them all.

Or so it had seemed at the time. As was so often the case for Rodimus, things did not quite wrap up as tidily as he might have hoped. Far from being destroyed, Optimus had been retrieved by a team of human scientists who were hoping to use him (again) as a weapon against the Autobots - this time as the bearer of a malignant "Hate Plague" that would cause them to destroy each other. When he learned of this, Rodimus swiftly formed a rescue party and led them to retrieve Optimus' body so that their former leader could rest in peace. When all of the rest of the Autobots with him were exposed to the Hate Plague, only Rodimus was able to escape unharmed - and with the still uninfected body of Optimus. Returning to Autbot City, Rodimus ordered Sky-Lynx to find a Quintesson to repair Optimus, then risked his life to shut down Metroplex before the Plague could spread to it. Attacked by Ultra Magnus and Wreck-Gar in the process, he succumbed to the plague and became infected with hate. In order to stop the Plague, the resurrected Optimus had to defeat the crazed Rodimus and forcibly extract the Matrix from him, changing him back into Hot Rod once more. This time, as Optimus had decided to stick around, the change was somewhat more permanent. Somewhat.

Even after losing his position as Autobot leader, Hot Rod was not the sort to rest on his laurels. Among other things, he was instrumental in championing the idea of human/Transformer binary bonding, a technique that later resulted in the Headmasters and Targetmasters. Hot Rod himself became one of the latter, bonding himself to a Nebulan named Firebolt.
Hot Rod joined an underground Autobot cell led by Kup after Shockwave's takeover of Cybertron. Among the members of the cell was Arcee, who Hot Rod became attached to.

From the Wastelands, Hot Rod, Blurr, and Springer observed an incoming Decepticon shuttle carrying the Dinobots. Shortly afterwards, the cell rescued Optimus Prime from Runamuck and Runabout, and took him to their base. After awakening, Prime attacked Gnaw, Blurr, and Wheelie, forcing Hot Rod (who didn't recognize him) to hold him at gunpoint. After being admonished by Kup, Hot Rod apologized.

After Shockwave unleashed the Guardian Robots on Iacon, Prime organized the resistance cell and other Autobot forces on the planet in an assault on Shockwave's citadel. Fighting alongside the Autobot leader, Hot Rod was amazed that the stories Kup had told him about Prime's courage and heroism had all been true. As an injured Prime breached the citadel, Hot Rod, Ironhide and Springer provided cover fire, taking down a number of Guardians in the process. Along with the rest of Iacon, they witnessed the divine light of the Autobot Matrix of Leadership when Shockwave activated it.

As Prime and Ultra Magnus battled Shockwave within the citadel, Hot Rod and Grimlock took down Astrotrain and Blitzwing. Immediately afterwards, they were confronted with the looming threat of a remaining Guardian Robot - a threat that was soon neutralized by the arrival of the Wreckers, the Autobot High Council, and Defensor. The unified Autobot group soon breached the citadel.

Some time later, Hot Rod ran a simulation combat scenario against Kup, and won using tactics that, in Kup's opinion, would have killed them both had it been real. Only after his victory did Hot Rod remember that he'd promised to take Arcee to see an Earth-bound shuttle launch - a duty Springer was happy to relieve him of. Soon afterwards, he was assigned to perimeter guard duty at Autobase with Gnaw and Wheelie, separating him from Arcee.
Teletraan Go! Go! Mini-Comics
Hot Rod (in his Micromaster form) rescued Teletraan-15 from a strange mechanical monster, a Novaroid. Teletraan-15 noted that Hot Rod was considerably smaller than she remembered him. Irked, Hot Rod laid the blame for the transwarp holes in space-time on 15. It was through these holes that this future/alternate version of Hot Rod and the Novaroid had arrived in Teletraan-15's time.

Kiss-Play
Hot Rod is part of the EDC Kiss-Play force, partnered with martial arts expert Xiao-Xiao. He is cocky and confident in his speed and sharpshooting skills, and weathers his human partner's complaints that he's slacking off on his hand-to-hand combat training.
Generation 1
* Hot Rod (Autobot Car, 1986/2000/2002)
: Japanese ID number: C-78

: Hot Rod was one of the first toys designed specifically for the Transformers toyline, versus being an imported pre-existing toy. Designer Floro Dery created Hot Rod for the animated film and then the toy was created from his model sheet. (The model sheet would be altered further after the toy was completed.) Hot Rod transforms from a robot into a "futuristic" hot rod sportscar. The toy comes with two rifles. There are two versions of this toy; initial releases have die-cast (unpainted) metal feet, while later shipments use black plastic.

: In 2000, Takara re-released the Hot Rod toy, having had to retro-retool it from the Targetmaster release. In 2002, Hasbro released it as part of the Toys 'R' Us exclusive Commemorative Series line as Rodimus Major. Both versions use die-cast metal for his feet.

: The same mold is used by Black Rodimus.

* Rodimus Prime (Autobot Hero, 1986/2004)
: Japanese ID number: C-77

: Rodimus Prime was designed in much the same way as Hot Rod. Rodimus transforms from a robot and battle platform into a futuristicky Winnebago camper. The toy comes with a "Photon eliminator" rifle and two blast shields to attach to either side of his battle platform's cannon. (The yellow spoiler was also to be removed and replaced during transformation.) Like Hot Rod, there are materials variations; initial releases have metal toes with rubber tires, while latter shipments replaced both with black plastic.

: The metal-toes/rubber-ties version of the toy saw re-release in both Japan and the US in 2004.

: This mold is also used by Primus.

* Hot Rod w/ Firebolt (Targetmaster, 1987/2004)
: Japanese ID number: C-110, TFC-13
: Hot Rod was re-released with his new Nebulan Targetmaster partner Firebolt a year after the original release. The toy was retooled to have larger pegholes in his fists and his engine block so the Targetmaster gun would fit. Latter versions of this toy retooled his lower legs to minimize the scraping of his thigh decals.

: Takara reissued Targetmaster Hot Rod in 2004 as sort of an "ultimate" version, with metal toes (the original versions all used plastic) and the twin rifles from the non-Targetmaster version.

*Crystal Rodimus (Autobot Car, 2001)
: Japanese ID number: C-78C
: One of the earliest e-Hobby exclusives, "Crystal" Rodimus uses the reissue Hot Rod mold, but cast almost entirely in transparent plastics. He was availbale only in a set with the evil clone Black Rodimus.

Battlestars
* Star Convoy w/ Hot Rodimus (Autobot, 1991/2005)
: Japanese ID number: C-372

: Available only with Star Convoy, Hot Rod's Micromaster form is a simplified version of his original toy, transforming into the same futuristic race car. In 2005, Star Convoy was re-released with several deco changes; among them, the decals used on Hot Rod were changed to paint applications.

Classics
*Rodimus (Deluxe, 2006)
: Rodimus comes out in fall 2006. This toy is a sleeker, more streamlined version of the original, transforming (again) into a futuristic race car. His rear-mounted thruster engine becomes a hand-held weapon in robot mode, launching a spring-loaded missile. In a twist of fandom irony, classics Rodimus has elements that were introduced in his Energon version, making him a backwards homage.

The Unicron Singularity is a frightening black hole near Cybertron that threatens to swallow it, and eventually the rest of the universe, whole. The only way to destroy it and put the universe back in order is to gather up the four Cyber Planet Keys and the Omega Lock, hidden on various planets, and use them to awaken Primus.

The Unicron Singularity was created at the end of the Powerlinx Battles as a result of Primus' attempt to bury his eternal nemesis Unicron in the center of a newborn sun. This plan backfired, and Unicron's essence collapsed in on itself, creating a black hole. The black hole's pull was so strong even Unicron's presence in alternate realities was affected, and the fabric of space-time itself was increasingly unstable, altering even the memories of Optimus Prime and the Autobots under his command.

(Note: The Japanese version of Cybertron, Galaxy Force, made no connection between Unicron and the "Grand Black Hole." The Grand Black Hole appeared in the present time because the Dark God, the source of darkness in the universe that opposes Primus, was trapped within a Matrix-type object, seperating it from the universal balance. Additionally, the planet Cybertron itself was swallowed up by the Grand Black Hole in Galaxy Forces first episode. In the American version, these scenes were omitted, and it was understood that the black hole hovered threateningly near the planet. This would make more sense, given characters would return to the planet later in the series and not face any of the negative effects of being in a black hole, such as dying horribly.)
Sideways first appeared as a beam of light striking the earth city near the Autobot base. An enigmatic warrior, he sided with the Autobots until he brought Hot Shot with him to the Decepticon base on the moon. He betrayed Hot Shot, kicking the Star Saber sword to Starscream, and switched Mini-Con heads, revealing his allegiance to the Decepticons. Hot Shot was beaten and dropped back at the Autobot base. Once Sideways' loyalty to the Decepticons seemed to be confirmed, he began manipulating them and playing them against each other to suit his mysterious goals. The Decepticons began to distrust Sideways, suspecting he was not what he seemed, and Sideways was confronted and seemingly destroyed. Or so they thought. Sideways' corpse rose up and evolved into a twisted nanobite creature before the Decepticons' eyes. Voice Actors: Ted Cole (US), Susumu Chiba (Japan)

Sideways made his return in the Cybertron story as a faction-swapping agent that chose to manipulate those who'd recognize him in secret. He latched onto Starscream, having no memory of the Unicron Battles, and manipulated him into obtaining the Omega Lock. Sideways' long-term plan is to now avenge the destruction of his race from eons ago using the power of Primus. Soundwave is his partner in this series and they share the common goal of destroying the Giant Planet. The Ask Vector Prime forum on Transformers.com notes that Sideways was preserved by Unicron's dark power after Armada. When Noisemaze uses his Force Chip to become a Decepticon his personality shifts as well, he goes from a cool collected ninja-like persona to a raging berzerker. It's possible that the Cyber Key gives Sideways a large dose of Unicron's essense, sending him into brief moments of maniacal rage.

Dreamwave comics continuity
In the DW continuity, Sideways was simply shown as a background cameo Decepticon, and was not featured as a hearld of Unicron. In addition, the MTME profile book did list Sideways as a mysterious ninja, and a herald to Unicron. It is suspected that he was simply functioning as a sleeper agent in the mainstream DW Armada comic.

Robot Masters
A Motorcycle Transformer going by the name "Doubleface"(Armada Sideway's Japanese name) appeared in the Robot Masters saga. This Transformer had a special communications system called "Shadow and Bright" which were the Japanese names of Sideway's Mini-Cons.

* Sideways
: The first Sideways toy is a yellow and black redeco (and minor retooling, from changes made to the mold for a Japanese Microman version) of Road Rocket, transforming into a Yamaha GTS1000A racing motorcyle with a light-up real wheel suspension/buzzsaw weapon. He came packaged with Axer in a Wal*Mart exclusive two-pack.

: Despite being a character placed in a different continuity, he has been established to be the same Sideways as the character from Armada. Both tech spec bios describe him as "conscientious, ninja-like warrior" who is "mysterious and silent." Years later, Takara publicity materials for their Robot Masters line confirmed that Robots in Disguise Sideways is the same character as their Robot Masters Doubleface toy.

: This mold was intened for use in Generation 2 as Jazz, but that toy never saw release.

Armada
* Sideways w/ Rook and Crosswise
: Japanese ID number: MX-01
: The second toy of Sideways was released in 2002 in Armada, transforming into a Cybertronic motorcycle, and was the first larger Armada toy to come with two Mini-Cons; Rook and Crosswise. Each Mini-Con could form a new head for Sideways, as well as reveal a faction sigil behind his clear-plastic chestplate in that mode. Their individual and combined robot modes were designed to act as riders when Sideways is in vehicle mode. His tailpipes become amr-mounted Powerlinx-activated pressure-launch missile launchers.

: Two variations of the Hasbro version of the toy exist. The first variation features the opposite Mini-Con heads revealing their intended faction logo. This was due to an error in the television series' animation which depicted Crosswise as the Decepticon head and Rook as the Autobot head. Hasbro made a running change so the toy reflected the series' faction alignments. The second variation changed the salmon on Crosswise to a more Decepticon-like purple. This toy was also released in the Japanese Micron Legend toyline as "Doubleface" shortly afterwards, featuring a color scheme on the cockpit of the bike that was closer to the anime appearance.

: This mold was also used for Energon Rapid Run.

Robot Masters
* Doubleface
:Doubleface, a purple, gray, and yellow redeco (and minor retooling, from changes made to the mold for a Japanese Microman version) of Road Pig, was released in Japan in 2005, transforming into a Harley-Davidson Electra Glide touring motorcycle with electronic light-up tailpipe/"blaster" weapon. It featured a fixed Decepticon logo, and was the second and last appearance of this character in Japan as of 2006.

: This mold was also used for Robots in Disguise Axer. It was planned for use in Generation 2 as Soundwave, but that toy never saw release.

Cybertron
* Sideways
: Japanese ID number: GX-01
:The third toy of Sideways released in the US was in the Cybertron toyline. Sideways in this line is a black and orange alien spacefighter with Cyber Planet Key-activated faction-switching ability and pop-out blades built into his battle shield. The toy features a translucent face with his signature horns. This toy was released in Japan as Galaxy Force Noisemaze, but in Japan it is not the same character as Sideways.

: This mold was also used for the Japanese DVD-exclusive Noisemaze Production Type (which, at the time of this writing, has not been released).
Synopsis
spoiler
Standing outside the Iacon Archives, Soundwave summons Laserbeak and orders it to retrieve the Dead Matrix. Laserbeak enters stealth mode and successfully retrieves it.

After travelling to the Unicron Singularity, Soundwave alters the Dead Matrix's wave harmonics and throws it into the black hole. Immediately, a glowing lifeforce emerges and greets Soundwave. Soundwave addresses his lord before it travels 700 lightyears away to a nearby planet named Yst. As the lifeforce penetrates the planet, it narrates its agenda, explaining at length who it is. Yst explodes into chaos and war as the inhabitants begin to tear each other apart. This culminates in the planet's destruction.

Amidst the debris, Unicron is reborn.

Errors
*The Dark Matrix was miscolored to look like Big Convoy's Matrix, which is gold and blue.

Items of note
*Soundwave officially makes his first fictional appearance as a follower of Unicron.

*Soundwave behaves more like the G1 character. His profile entry, included in the same issue, notes that his show persona is an affect he puts on for others due to socialization issues.

*The aliens on this Earth-like world resemble the Cardassians from Star Trek.

*Although previous reports said Unicron retained his planetary size, Unicron is shown as a small orb before exploding the planet and his new form is simply shown against debris from that planet, and nothing specific enough to determine scale or perspective.

*Soundwave, while throwing the Dark Matrix into the anomoly, is described and depicted as standing right in the event horizon of the black hole. This would be difficult with real physics, but the cartoon already threw that out the window, so oh well.

*In jet mode, Soundwave's hexagon accessories remain in their gun forms, creating some cool gun-ship styling for his wings.

*Soundwave's color scheme is based upon his Takara release, rather the Hasbro version's tone-downed appearance.

From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki, a Wikia wiki.

What do you guys have against me pointing out that Soundwave's design follows the Takara version instead of the Hasbro version? It's just an interesting observation.
Synopsis
spoiler
The Planet X agent Soundwave mysteriously appears after the demise of Ramjet and Nemesis Prime. Standing at an undisclosed location, he summons his mini-con Laserbeak and orders it to infiltrate the local Autobot headquarters. Laserbeak enters stealth mode and cuts through several doors before finding his way to a familiar object: the matrix that Nemesis Prime was carrying.

Laserbeak returns to Soundwave with this matrix, who promptly throws it into the black hole. Immediately, a spark emerges and greets Soundwave, it is Unicron's. Soundwave addresses his lord before the spark travels 700 lightyears away to a nearby planet named Yst. Yst, in all rights, is like a duplicate of Earth with inhabitants that resemble a Star Trek alien race. As his spark penetrates the planet, he begins to recite his creed and agenda, speaking and explaining who he is in rhetoric. Yst explodes into chaos and wars, as the inhabitants begin to tear eachother apart. Suddenly, the planet colapses and explodes.

within the debris, Unicron is reborn in his new tank form.

Errors
*Soundwave is incorrectly written with the G1 personality rather the street-slang radio broadcast personality he exhibits in the Unicron Trilogy.
*The Dark Matrix was miscolored to look like Big Convoy's matrix, which is traditional gold and blue.

Items of note
*Soundwave officially makes his appearance as a herald of Unicron and an agent of Planet X.
*As mentioned above, Soundwave behaves more like the G1 character. I suppose his personality in the animated series could be part of his deception as an agent.
*This issue is really short winded. The exchanges between Soundwave and Unicron are almost humorous in their simplicity.
*The aliens on this Earthen world resemble the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine character Elim Garak
*Like Vector Prime, Soundwave features his Takara paint scheme rather the toned-down Hasbro depiction.
*Although previous reports said Unicron retained his planetary size, I'm not sure that's entirely evident. Unicron is shown as a small orb before exploding the planet and his new form is simply shown against debris from that planet and nothing specific enough to determine scale or perspective. Given that the black hole stems from a balance in universal energies, the rebirth of a planetary Unicron should have solved this, but we know how the Cybertron story ends, so it makes sense that he is reborn as a regular Transformer, and not yet that enormous dark balance he once served as. Also, with Hasbro being so specific about the new Unicron's character handling, I doubt he's a planet-size Transformer yet.
*Laserbeak uses his stealth mode.
*Soundwave, while throwing the Dark Matrix into the anomoly, is described as standing right in the event horizon of the black hole. Last time I checked, he shoulda been transformed into robot spagetti.

From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki, a Wikia wiki.

Synopsis

As his spark penetrates the planet, he begins to recit his agena, deeply explaining who he is in rhetoric. Yst explodes into chaos and wars, as the inhabitants begin to tear eachother apart. Suddenly, then planet colapses.

Unicron is reborn in his new tank form.

*Although previous reports said Unicron retained his planetary size, I'm not sure that's entirely evident. Unicron is shown as a small orb before exploding the planet and his new form is simply shown against debris from that planet and nothing specific enough to determine scale or perspective. With Hasbro being so specific about the character handling, I doubt he's a planet-size Transformer yet.

Synopsis
spoiler
The Planet X agent Soundwave mysteriously appears after the demise of Ramjet and Nemesis Prime. Standing at an undisclosed location, he summons his mini-con Laserbeak and orders it to infriltrate the local Autobot headquarters.

As his spark penetrates the planet, he begins to recit his agena, deeply explaining who he is in rhetoric. Yst explodes into chaos and wars, as the inhabitants begin to tear eachother apart. Suddenly, then planet colapses.

Unicron is reborn in his new tank form.

Errors
*Soundwave is incorrectly written with the G1 personality rather the street-slang radio broadcast personality he exhibits in the Unicron Trilogy.
*The Dark Matrix was miscolored to look like Big Convoy's matrix, which is traditional gold and blue.

Items of note
*As mentioned above, Soundwave behaves more like the G1 character. I suppose his personality in the animated series could be part of his deception as an agent.
*This issue is really short winded. The exchanges between Soundwave and Unicron are almost humorous in their simplicity.
*The aliens on this Earthen world resemble the Star Trek Deep Space Nine character Elim Garak
*Although previous reports said Unicron retained his planetary size, I'm not sure that's entirely evidence. Unicron is shown as a small orb before exploding the planet and his new form is simply shown against debris from that planet, and nothing specific enough to determine scale or perspective. With Hasbro being so specific about the character handling, I doubt he's a planet-size Transformer yet.
