I think Cybertron should be defined as its own continuity Seperate from the Armada/Energon Story, Outside of the Comic and Toy Package references the Cartoon has far too many Historical Diferences, like the folowing:

-The first Episode Optimus talks as if they will be the first Autobots on Earth and must remain hidden from the population (by the time of Energon Tranformers were puplic knowledge on Earth)

-Minicons come from Giant Planet, as opposed to Unicron himself

-When Leobreaker and Optimus first Link-up they all act as if this is unheard of, this was later ignored when Wingsaber and Optimus talked about a Accidental Power Linking they previously shared. (Power Linking for Optimus was a Minor Part of Armada, and a Major part for all Autobots in Energon)

- Their Earth Allies from Armada/Energon (Rad, Carlos, Alexis, Kicker and the rest of the Jones Family) are not seen or mentioned at all

* Rad, Carlos, Alexis, and Kicker ARE seen in the final episode of Cybertron, in scenes added to the American version.
* In the Fan Club Cybertron comic, Vector Prime explains that the [[Unicron Singularity]] is causing memory glitches in the Autobots as time and space is distorted.
* Armada and Energon have lots of continuity contradictions, too. Oh, and let's not even get into the continuity/origin contradictions in the G1 cartoon from season to season.
* Hasbro says they're the same story. 'Nuff said.

:::Nuff said indeed. The one thing that irritates me more than GEEWUNISM are the fans who are so obsessed that they think it is their right to control what Transformers can and cannot do. Like it or not, it belongs to Hasbro and if they say that Optimus Prime was a truck driver stuck in a time warp that got fused with his delivery vehicle, then it happened. You can't just say what did or did not happen because you happen to dislike the direction. I would have MUCH preferred that Cybertron have been handled more closely as a sequel, but I openly accept Fun Publication's explanations for the continuity errors.

Not long after the attacks on Mars and Asteroid City, the moon would be attacked too. Cyclonus would hold up a small resistance before he was presumed destroyed. As [[Demolishor]] prepared for more [[Terrorcon]] assaults on Earth, Cyclonus surfaced, having tucked tail and ran, abandoning the Cybertron City on the moon to be looted of its [[Energon]]. ==Synopsis==

Standing outside the Iacon Archives, Soundwave summons Laserbeak and orders it to retrieve the [[Dead Matrix]]. Laserbeak enters stealth mode and successfully retrieves it.

After travelling to the [[Unicron Singularity]], Soundwave alters the Dead Matrix's wave harmonics and throws it into the black hole. Immediately, a glowing lifeforce emerges and greets Soundwave. Soundwave addresses his lord before it travels 700 lightyears away to a nearby planet named [[Yst]]. As the lifeforce penetrates the planet, it narrates its agenda, explaining at length who it is. Yst explodes into chaos and war as the inhabitants begin to tear each other apart. This culminates in the planet's destruction.

Amidst the debris, Unicron is reborn.

*The Dark Matrix was miscolored to look like [[Big Convoy (BWN)|Big Convoy]]'s [[Matrix]], which is gold and blue.

*Soundwave officially makes his first fictional appearance as a follower of Unicron.

*Soundwave behaves more like the [[Soundwave (G1)|G1 character]]. His profile entry, included in the same issue, notes that his show persona is an affect he puts on for others due to socialization issues.

*The aliens on this [[Earth]]-like world resemble the [[Wikipedia: Cardassian|Cardassians]] from Star Trek.

*Although previous reports said Unicron retained his planetary size, Unicron is shown as a small orb before exploding the planet and his new form is simply shown against debris from that planet, and nothing specific enough to determine scale or perspective.

*Soundwave, while throwing the Dark Matrix into the anomoly, is described and depicted as standing right in the event horizon of the black hole. This would be difficult with real physics, but the cartoon already threw that out the window, so oh well.

*In jet mode, Soundwave's hexagon accessories remain in their gun forms, creating some cool gun-ship styling for his wings.

The Planet X agent Soundwave mysteriously appears after the demise of Ramjet and Nemesis Prime. Standing at an undisclosed location, he summons his mini-con Laserbeak and orders it to infriltrate the local Autobot headquarters. Laserbeak enters stealth mode and cuts through several doors before finding his way to a familiar object: The matrix that Nemesis Prime was carrying.

Laserbeak returns to Soundwave with this matrix, who promptly throws it into the black hole. Immediately, a spark emerges and greets Soundwave, it is Unicron. Soundwave addresses is lord before the spark travels 700 lightyears away to a nearby planet named Yst. Yst, in all rights, is like a duplicate of earth with inhabitants that resemble a Star Trek alien race. As his spark penetrates the planet, he begins to recit his agena, deeply explaining who he is in rhetoric. Yst explodes into chaos and wars, as the inhabitants begin to tear eachother apart. Suddenly, then planet colapses.

Unicron is reborn in his new tank form.

*Soundwave is incorrectly written with the G1 personality rather the street-slang radio broadcast personality he exhibits in the Unicron Trilogy.
*The Dark Matrix was miscolored to look like Big Convoy's matrix, which is traditional gold and blue.

*As mentioned above, Soundwave behaves more like the G1 character. I suppose his personality in the animated series could be part of his deception as an agent.
*This issue is really short winded. The exchanges between Soundwave and Unicron are almost humorous in their simplicity.
*The aliens on this Earthen world resemble the Star Trek Deep Space Nine character Elim Garak
*Although previous reports said Unicron retained his planetary size, I'm not sure that's entirely evidence. Unicron is shown as a small orb before exploding the planet and his new form is simply shown against debris from that planet, and nothing specific enough to determine scale or perspective.
