Floro Dery was the design supervisor for the original cartoon. He was also responsible for simplifying many of the original designs down to the eventual animation models. He has also taken credit for fully designing many of the elements of the series, including all the human characters and incidental robots. He has further claimed to have been the originator of the idea of Unicron as a transforming planet. Many of his claims have been met by skepticism among the online fandom thanks to his own contradicting interviews throughout the years.

Aaron Archer is a designer for the Transformers brand at Hasbro.

He first worked on lines such as Batman and Jurassic Park before being moved to Transformers during the Transmetal 2 phase of Beast Wars. There, he designed toys like the Transmetal 2 incarnations of Cheetor, Iguanus, Dinobot 2, Optimus Minor, and Megatron.

In the year 2000 Aaron was promoted to lead designer on the Transformers brand, where he played a large role in the planning of Armada, which was released in 2002. He played a similar role in the development of Energon and Cybertron, as well as Alternators. As well as designing characters and planning out the toylines, Aaron also wrote the story concepts for all three Unicron Trilogy lines that were eventually made manifest in the animated cartoons. In the middle of all of this, in 2004, he was further promoted to design director.

Aaron is relatively well-known in the fandom, partially because he spent several months posting to the boards at TFW2005 under the name "Orson", a name by which fans sometimes still refer to him.
Blurr is described as a racer with a gruff serious personality. He doesn't like small talk and prefers to keep himself busy working. Blurr has a dislike for the children and especially Side Swipe. Blurr relates most to Scavenger, as the two are very similar.

: Blurr transforms into a sleek Cybertronic race car. In this mode, plugging his Mini-Con partner Incinerator into the space under Blurr's spoiler causes the rear side panels of Blurr's car mode to flip down into a "flight mode". This mode also makes his twin Powerlinx-activated spring-loaded missile launchers available, which become hand-held weapons in robot mode.

: The Japanese release of Blurr has several significant color differences, most notably the lack of "dirt-wash" on his car mode, clear-red canopy rather than clear-yellow, plus his head has an entirely different set of paint applications.

Although the toy package bio differs, it offers no contradictory information, even going as far as describing his personality similarly to his Armada counterpart. Blurr is described as having stayed behind on Cybertron to protect it from the Decepticon assault.
After the evacuation of Cybertron, some soldiers chose to stay behind. Downshift was one of them, who was assigned to guard the tunnels leading to the inner workings of Cybertron. While guarding, Downshift was attacked by the agent Nemesis Prime, and impaled to a wall. After these gravely injuries, Downshift was repaired and reformatted by a worker drone into his muscle car form.

Scorponok

:Scorponok is a Terrorcon in the Enegron and Cybertron portions of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Scorponok's origin differs greatly depending on which dimension of the multiverse you are speaking of. What doesn't change however is the fact that he's a massive and terrifying sight on the battlefield. As his name suggests, he can change into a giant scorpion. And a plane!

Fiction
Dreamwave Energon comic
Scorponok was a powerful Decepticon warrior who aided Megatron in his war of conquest on Cybertron. Later, after Unicron's arrival and subsequent defeat, he pledged himself to the chaos bringer in exchange for incredible power and became leader of the Terrorcons. When Megatron returned, he decimated the Terrorcon ranks before finally facing Scorponok himself. After a brief but intense battle, Megatron impaled Scorponok in the chest with his sword, destroying him.

Energon animated series
Scorponok was the Terrorcon General, created by Alpha Q to lead in Energon raids. He begrudginly joined forces with Megatron, following the Decepticon leaders revival.

Scorponok was Alpha Q's guardian on the once Planet Q, before detonating the planet in an attempt to destroy Unicron. When Alpha Q was resurrected in 2020, he brought Scorponok back online using a nameless Decepticon's spark to replace the one destroyed in the planet's explosion. After Megatron's return, he served Alpha Q in secret until an incident where Megatron finally destroyed him, bringing him back online with a Decepticon program protocol. The Autobot Ironhide fueded with this beastly Transformer until one final conflict, which left Scorponok mortally wounded, but admissive about the fact that he is not Megatron's slave, but follows his honor of loyalty towards those who give him life, being Megatron or Alpha Q.

Scorponok, on his final breaths, was able to carry Ironhide's damaged body from their battle ground, to Jungle Planet, when Optimus Prime required merging with the other Autobot sparks in order to meet Galvatron and his giant mass. Scorponok died shortly afterwards, requesting that Ironhide save their planets.

Cybertron
Having been destroyed in the Powerlinx Battles, Scorponok's body was apparently disposed of on Cybertron. After the opening of the Black Hole, his Unicronian frame was imbued with the essense of the Dark God and Scorponok returned to life, mindlessly seeking out those he had once battled and aided in the previous war. Dark Scorponok eventually located the combiner component Skyfall, and was destroyed by his intense Energon ballistics shield.

The Key code info for Dark Scorponok says that at some point, he located the Jungle Planet and served Scourge as a bodyguard.

Cybertron
Having been destroyed in the Unicron Battles, Scorponok's body was apparently disposed of on Cybertron.
