Anyway, any of that is pure speculation, and I'd prefer to have the toy list reflect information that is actually known (i.e. "only confirmed for Japan"), not speculation.--Nevermore 03:45, 6 July 2009 (EDT)
:Created a new section. EZ Devastator remains there until Hasbro's word on the matter is more than "We're looking into it". Also listing the exclusive black Soundwave there, so a Japan-only section might remain there under whatever name.--Nevermore 18:22, 25 July 2009 (EDT)

Legends
The Legends Class (originally known as Legends of Cybertron; see Trivia below), known as EZ Collection in Japan, is a sub-line of Transformers toys that are about 3 inches in height. All the original molds are based on toys/characters that are also available in other sizes, with less sculpted detail and often with different, simplified transformations. Unlike other size classes, which are viewed as part of the respective toyline they've been released under and nothing else, the Legends toys have been continuously numbered as "series" across three subsequent toylines.

The Legends size class originally started out as a sub-set during the Cybertron toyline's run, featuring small, simple, easily affordable versions of some of the show's core cast. Released in waves of four, the toys were originally available in smaller "market six" chain stores like Meijers for around $3.99, although later waves were later also available at Toys "R" Us and Kmart. The molds were later redecoed as Generation 1 characters for the Classics line.

The 2007 live-action movie toyline introduced a batch of entirely new molds, later expanded by various redecos of those molds, most of which were available as part of the Allspark Battles two-packs (which also introduced more new molds).

The 2008 Universe line features more redecos of the old Cybertron-derived molds as Generation 1 characters, coupled with new molds, which are thus far alternatively "Classic" toys based on Generation 1 and Generation 2 characters and Legends-sized versions of Animated characters, which are released as part of the Universe rather than the Animated toyline.
Hasbro Toy Shop had previously listed a category for an Animated Legends series, but no figures were announced, and it has since been removed from the site. Instead, Legends-sized toys based on Animated characters were released as part of the Universe line.
However, there were two Target exclusive three-packs released as part of the Animated line, each containing a redeco of a mass retail Animated Deluxe Class toy and two Legends Class figures, which were also released as single packs in the Universe line (see below). There is one slight difference in the Animated Prowl and Bumblebee in the packs than the Universe single releases. The Target Packs have silver Autobot symbols, while their Universe releases have the standard red with white backgrounds. Bumblebee, Optimus, and Starscream also have slightly darker paint jobs, with Bumblebee having a darker yellow and windows, and Starscream resembling Thundercracker. ==Trivia==
* During the Cybertron toyline's run, there was some confusion as to the actual name of the price-point: It was variously solicited to online retailers as Cybertron All-Stars and Legends of Cybertron. Online retailers even confirmed having received initial shipments alternatively sporting either name on the shipping cases, although later shipments exclusively sported the "Legends" name. The toys themselves, however, didn't sport any size-class-specific name on the packaging. Meanwhile, Hasbro originally listed the toys under the name Cybertron Micro Series on their official Transformers website, but later changed those listings to "Legends" as well. Later toylines that included toys of the same size class (including redecos of the Cybertron-derived molds) specifically used names such as Legends Class on the packaging, so that title seems to have won out. However, the "Cybertron" part of the name has never been used in an official capacity anywhere outside the Cybertron toyline.
Movie Jolt vs Movie Jolt
Sorry if the post about Jolt not being confused with the previously released Jolt wasn't a good one... Just thought it was sort of a unique case that should be addressed, what with there being two movie Jolts, and unlike the 2007 one which didn't appear in any movies and has since been changed to a different character, also not appearing in the movies, the new Jolt is in the movie. I know that's what disambiguation is for, but I just thought it was an interesting bit of trivia that a movie character's name was already used in the movieverse, though for a different character. (not including the whole movie Arcee thing) -Cliffjumper Prime

Megatron joke
The monsters in MMPR always started out human-sized. Then, at some point, Rita throws her staff down from the Moon shouting "Make my monster grow!". The staff lands in the ground and energy shoots out of it, making the monster enormous. The laser effects around Megatron's cannon in that picture look a lot like the staff. Here is a YouTube clip of it: . Honestly, it's not a big deal to me, but the old joke doesn't really make any sense in the first place. It seems to be a premature ejaculation joke to go along with his cannon firing, but it's not like there's anybody else in the picture for the innuendo to be complete. I think the observation our anonymous editor made about the resemblance to the staff is actually pretty clever. A rare instance of somebody changing a joke for the better, IMO. --Steve-o 16:20, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
:Huzzah! I have a talk page now! Anyway, thanks for clearing it up... I didn't get the ressemblance of Bandora's staff to the laser blast effects of Megatron's cannons... :Essentially, there's nothing wrong with the toy so criticizing it like that is pointless. --Detour 08:29, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
::Okay. I didn't think the caption was meant as a criticism of the toy. I thought it was meant to point out that though she was designed as a female figure, she didn't really turn out looking any more female than any other Transformer (excluding Arcee and Thunderblast). But humor is subjective, and what I find somewhat funny might not seem funny at all to someone else.
He is known to be a member, which should be enough, but he is also known to appear again later in the season, both through the footage from Dubai and the teasers released on the blog. ::That's great, but that's not what I am trying to say. He was announced as a character a while ago, before Dubai, and on one of the creator blogs. He's known to be in the Elite Guard, and we even know who his American voice actor is. We've even had him make his first appearance. Dubai just confirmed an episode he reappears in. That's all I'm trying to say - that we know he's in the guard, and we have confirmation from various sources of a future appearance. Hell, that we've listed his voice actor should be confirmation enough.
::And I didn't make the edit to spread spoilers - I did it to add info to a wiki, when the info is confirmed. == Rabbicrater Edits ==

Just FYI, the edits HooperX made were capitalizing on the fact that Rabbicrater looks like his name contains the word "rabbi", when in fact it's meant to be most of the word "rabbit". The caption gag of "L'chaim" thus becomes more obvious, though I like the current one better. As for the miscellaneous trivia, I think it's an attempt at a callback to one of the final scenes from the Mel Brooks film History of the World, Part 1. So not TOTAL nonsense.--Apcog 14:16, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
:Oh, well I don't know much about Judaism so "L'chaim" is kind of flying over my head right now (and I believe even if explained, the Yaoi Kiss Players joke will still be funnier)... And the misc trivia, well History Of The World Part 1 is one of the Mel Brooks films I have not yet had the pleasure of watching... Even then, it's kind of out of place in the same paragraph as the info about the rabbit on the moon... if Hooper wants to bring it back I would suggest he add another asterisk paragraph to point it out... --Detour 15:11, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
::Long story short, a robot with the word "Rabbi" in his name, even if it actually has to do with "rabbit" is ripe for Judaism gags. "L'Chaim!" is a traditional exclamation of celebration. Originally, I was just gonna put the lyrics to Hava Nagila up there, but hey. The Kiss Players thing I had to stop and stare at - the two dudes humping are kind of cut out of the frame. But hey, whatever. -hx 15:15, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
:::FWIW, "L'chaim" is a traditional Hebrew version of "Cheers!" and literally means "To life!" I'm up for ethnic humor as much as the <s>next</s> previous guy, but I still find the KP gag funnier in this case. == Ze little one ==

"The identity of ze little one is a bit on the fraught side. In the flyover shot of the barge on which the four Constructicons sit, a red bulldozer (Rampage), a concrete mixer (Mixmaster), a dump truck (Long Haul) and a yellow front-end loader are visible. The yellow front-end loader is the alternate mode of the Constructicon Scrapper, and ze little one's robot mode appears to be the same as Scrapper's. As such, the temptation to just consider this a Scrapper unit is great... except that, after the flyover shot, the yellow loader disappears, and is replaced with a yellow Volvo excavator, clearly marked with a large Decepticon insignia. For the purposes of reducing headaches, we're assuming that the excavator is the "correct" vehicle mode, and that it just happens to transform into a robot mode that resembles Scrapper...even though it's not him. "

I wasn't aware of the decision that had reached on the "Ze little one" page, so I didn't realize that this was the reasoning being used. ==Deaths of Optimus Prime "fanon"==
That... wasn't fanon. It was more awkwardly phrased, but consistent with how it was portrayed in the episode. Aerialbots even say, to my recollection, that there are "others at the hanger." Elita-1 was rebuilt. Dion wasn't mentioned. What part of that is fanon, and why did that give you the right to allcaps that dude into submission for it? --ItsWalky 00:17, 6 October 2009 (EDT)
:Well it explicitly said in the anon guy's contribution way back there that "Ariel and Dion were also rebuilt" (followed by an awkward parenthesis saying Ariel at least). Plus, the episode itself is awkwardly phrased... Slingshot says "There are others back at the hangar, his girlfriend Ariel" as though he actually meant to say "there's another one back at the hangar, his girlfriend Ariel". After Orion is rebuilt as Prime, there's no concern for any "others" and they only speak of Ariel, whom Alpha Trion says he'll "send droids out for". No mention at all that he'd rebuild other casualties of the hangar massacre. --Detour 00:32, 6 October 2009 (EDT)
::Another interpretation: Slingshot says "There are others back at the hangar, [for example] his girlfriend Ariel." Otherwise, he's not being correct when he says there are "otherS" there. ==Movie Jolt vs Movie Jolt==
==Megatron joke==
Rabbicrater Edits
Just FYI, the edits HooperX made were capitalizing on the fact that Rabbicrater looks like his name contains the word "rabbi", when in fact it's meant to be most of the word "rabbit". The caption gag of "L'chaim" thus becomes more obvious, though I like the current one better. As for the miscellaneous trivia, I think it's an attempt at a callback to one of the final scenes from the Mel Brooks film History of the World, Part 1. So not TOTAL nonsense.--Apcog 14:16, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Ze little one

Terrorsaur named her, though Waspinator wanted to call her the "Buzzerbot". Megatron didn't care either way. After it crashed on prehistoric Earth, the Predacon Inferno preferred to call the ship "the Colony", though just about everyone else referred to it as the Predacon Base.

Exiting Transwarp, the Darksyde was immediately fired upon by the pursuing Maximal science vessel Axalon, though the better armed Predacon ship quickly took the upper hand. Despite the urging of his first officer to destroy the Axalon when the Maximal's shields failed, Megatron arrogantly decided to merely toy with his opponents by slowing down the ship enough for the Axalon to catch up, then unleashing a broadside from the Darksydes side guns, severely damaging the Maximal ship.

However, Megatron would not have long to gloat, as several well-aimed plasma cannon shots from the Axalon strafed the hull of the Darksyde, crippling the ship. Soon afterwards, both ships crash-landed on the planet's surface. Beast Wars (Part 1)

The crashed Darksyde became the Predacon base, their center of operations on Earth. The ship apparently crashed in a volcanically-active area, as the impact created lava-filled concentric cracks around it, and an upwelling of lava in the main control center. While it's arguably dangerous to have a control room where you can't walk across the floor without melting, it does look seriously badass.

The base contained a main control and monitoring center with a holographic projector; given the absence of a proper floor, hover platforms were commonly used by the Predacons to get around much of the base. The base also included CR tanks capable of restoring severely damaged Predacons (or Maximals) to full functionality; a private suite used by Megatron, including a CR tank/hot tub; a lab area used by Tarantulas; holding cages suspended over the lava pits (keyed to Megatron's voice command); and a secure storage area which held the Predacons' remaining Transwarp cells. The grounds surrounding the base were laced with automatic weapons, programmed to scan for and target Maximal energy signatures.

In addition to day-to-day Predacon operations, the base was the scene of several battles. The first involved a messy and destructive hunt for Cheetor, who accidentally teleported into the control room. Equal Measures Another resulted from Megatron's attempt to reprogram Rhinox into a Predacon; the rogue Maximal very nearly brought Megatron down from power by taking out first his troops, then his kneecaps. Rhinox's comrades stormed the base to recover him, however. Dark Designs (episode) The Maximals forced their way into the base a third time when Optimus Primal was infected with a rage-inducing virus; the berserk Maximal leader stormed through the Predacon base, taking out troops one after the next, until his comrades arrived to heal and retrieve him. Gorilla Warfare

The Maximals also managed to infiltrate the base more covertly on numerous occasions. When the Predacons managed to hack into Maximal communications, Rattrap went undercover as a turncoat. He escaped from one of the suspended prison cages and searched through the Predacon base till he found a Maximal codebreaker chip installed in one of its communication panels. Double Jeopardy Rattrap entered on another occasion to install a spy camera and cable; when the Predacons discovered it, they faked their own destruction, drawing the Maximals into the abandoned base to salvage space drive parts. Optimus Primal noted that even abandoned, a Predacon ship was still a dangerous place. Victory (episode) Using Rattrap and Airazor as a distraction, Tigatron slipped into the base to search for information about the latest alien site to have revealed itself (though this turned out to have been exactly what Megatron wanted all along.) Before the Storm

At least once, the base's lava pits proved to be a distinct liability. When the planet was hit by a quantum surge in the wake of the Planet Buster's destruction, Terrorsaur and Scorponok lost control of their hover platforms, collided, and tumbled off. The two sank into the lava and were never seen again. Aftermath

Tarantulas proved able to cut power to the base at will; he did so once with a magna pulse Spider's Game, and again through unknown means when Ravage and the Maximals arrived to take Megatron prisoner. The base took considerable damage while under assault from Ravage's Transwarp cruiser. The Agenda (Part 1)

After the destruction of the Maximal base, Megatron's troops stole the Sentinel shield module from the Maximals, and installed it in the Predacon base, providing it with a defensive energy shield. Changing of the Guard

The battered vessel was finally destroyed by the Vok emissary Tigerhawk. Other Victories
The packaging calls it the Predacon ship, possibly due to trademark issues. (A typo on the packaging was corrected by a sticker.)

Trivia
* The name of the Predacon ship comes from fandom interpretation of Terrorsaur's line from the Beast Wars episode "Equal Measures," which welcomes Cheetor "to the dark side," upon Cheetor's arrival within the Predacon ship. Since there wasn't an established name for the ship at the time, some fans thought that Terrorsaur may have been speaking more than metaphorically. The name was used in the Transformers Beast Wars: Transmetals video game, making the name official, and again years later in the booklet inside Kid Rhino's Beast Wars season 1 DVD set. In the 2006 exclusive toy box set and accompanying story, "Darksyde" was spelled with a "y" to avoid possible trademark problems. Despite the glee with which the name is joyfully batted around in the fandom, the show itself never specifically called it anything other than "the Predacon base" or "Predacon ship".

* Bludgeon's color scheme was used as a disguise by Wreckage in IDW Publishing's "Alliance issue 2" comic, before the identity of the toy as Bludgeon was publicly confirmed.
* According to the Hasbro panel at 2009, Bludgeon lost his Metallikato battle with Whirl. Subsequently, he retreated to the jungle to become a better martial artist, which apparently also involved turning into a tank. Also at the same panel, Voyager class Bludgeon was said to be designed to fit in with the Universe "Classics" line.
* The origin of Voyager class Bludgeon is older than one may expect. Artist Don Figueroa submitted a concept for a Unicron Trilogy Bludgeon toy that looked very similar to the final product way back during the development of the Energon or Cybertron toylines. Obviously, the concept wasn't put into production as a toy at the time, so Figueroa used it as inspiration for his IDW Publishing "Stormbringer" rendition of Generation 1 Bludgeon. However, Hasbro evidently resurrected the concept for the Universe and then the Revenge of the Fallen lines. Figueroa notes that his contribution on this toy is very small, as his work on it ended when he submitted the concept to Hasbro way back when.

Bludgeon is a martial-artist, loyal to the Decepticon cause. However when the prospect of engaging his rival, the Autobot Whirl, the larger battle is forgotten. Both are masters of Metallikato, and seek to one day prove which is the master.
:Bludgeon is a redeco of deluxe-class Wreckage from the 2007 live-action movie toyline. The figure transforms into an Piranha wheeled armored personnel carrier in green and brown, armed with a M2 .50 cal machine gun and two other machine guns mounted extending out of the troop compartment. His Automorphing feature is activated during transformation by swinging his machine gun down, pushing it against a translucent purple panel, which simultaneously raises his shoulders, lowers his torso, raises his head and extends his stomach-mounted cannon all in one movement.

:The smaller machine gun weapons feature flip-out energy blades that can be held in his hands, mounted under his forearms or on any of the wheels. They can also connect together to form an undocumented but certainly intended double-bladed weapon; mounting this on his forearm wheels gives him an awesome spinning blade weapon.

:This figure was only available in the Toys"R"Us -exclusive Master of Metallikato battle pack with Whirl. Also, this toy was repurposed by IDW Publishing as an upgraded form for Wreckage.
