The '''Decepticon/Predacon Alliance''' is, perhaps unsurprisingly, a coalition of the [[Decepticon]] and [[Predacon (BW)|Predacon]] factions. Very little is known about it. No reference is made to it as of the timeframe of [[Beast Wars]]; in fact, [[Ravage]] specifically identifies himself as representing "the Predacon Alliance", perhaps implying that whatever organization once guided both factions is now solely in the hands of the Predacons.

The [[Tripredacus Council]] may have been the heads of the Alliance; they were certainly involved with it. Known dissenters from the Alliance include Decepticon general [[Deathsaurus]] and Predacon criminal [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]]. {{storylink|Descent into Evil}}

Skywarp was one of Megatron's troops who attacked the [[Ark (G1)|Ark]] during its mission to clear a path for [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] through an asteroid field. He was deactivated when it crashed on [[Earth]], and he lay dormant for four million years. When he and his fellow Decepticons awoke, Skywarp was given a new [[altmode]], that of an Earth jet. {{storylink|The Transformers (comic issue)}} He aided the Decepticons in their building of their new base constructed of parts from [[Harrison Nuclear Power Plant]] and joined in their attack on [[Sparkplug Witwicky]]'s auto repair shop. Skywarp was one of the elite Decepticons that accompanied Megatron in infiltrating the ''[[Ark]]'' four million years ago. After crash-landing on Earth, the Decepticons and [[Autobots]] laid dormant for four million years, until volcanic activity stirred them into consciousness. Skywarp was the first of the Ark's Transformers to be reformatted and awakened by [[Teletraan-1]]. Now an F-15 fighter jet, Skywarp next dragged [[Megatron]]'s body into the reformatting rays of the Ark's computer.

Since the Decepticons were so badly short-staffed during their early days on Earth, Skywarp was usually involved in whatever crazy plot for universal domination Megatron was hatching. This included attacks on an off-shore oil rig, [[Sherman Dam]] and the [[Ruby Crystal Mines of Burma|ruby crystal mines of Burma]]. When the Decepticons escaped the Burma operation with a cache of energon cubes, Skywarp requested permission from Megatron to teleport in order to scare off Autobot pursuers. Teleporting behind the strangely-airborne duo of [[Ironhide]] and [[Bluestreak]], Skywarp pasted the ornery old Autobot with a heat-seeking missile, knocking him out of the sky that he probably shouldn't have been able to fly around in.

Skywarp continued to serve the Decepticons for many more years, never really doing anything notable. He was first to fall victim to an invention developed by [[Wheeljack]] that allowed Teletraan-1 to briefly take control of his body. [[Chip Chase]], a human ally of the Autobots, planted the device on Skywarp's ankle in the thick of battle. Skywarp's teleportation power did come in use when he was needed to sneak up on the Autobots (who were all in vehicle mode) and zap them with the [[transfixatron]].

In 2005, Skywarp was badly injured during the battle of [[Autobot City]]. Nightstalker, along with his partner Ravage, was the bodyguard to the last surviving [[Overlord (Autobot)|Overlord]], an enfeebled old Autobot who needed constant re-energizing to stay alive (think 24/7 life support). When the Overlord visited the city-state of [[Tarn]], war broke out between it and its neigbor, [[Vos]], forcing the Overlord to retreat back to his own home in [[Iacon]]. Accompanied by [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] and a then-non Decepticon [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]], the Overlord almost made it, but was tracked down and cornered at the bridge to Iacon by Tarn's forces, who had blown it out before they got there. Nightstalker, in a display of extreme loyalty to his charge, detonated a self-destruct mechanism installed in all the Overlords' bodyguards as a last resort, taking out all of Tarn's forces with him.

He shouldn't have bothered; the Overlord died soon afterwards from energon deficiency after Ravage betrayed him and sided with Megatron, refusing to give up his own energy to sustain the old, rusting fool.

Nightstalker may have been loosely based on a similarly-named fan character that was entered into (and won) one of Marvel UK's character creation contests. ==Synopsis==
Gigacycles after the defeat of [[Ramjet (Universe)|Ramjet]], Sentinel Maximus is completing the repairs on [[Vector Sigma]] with help from Skyfall. Over-Run's quest to determine Skyfall's past has dug up a possible lead -- a carving found in the energon pools deep within [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] (where the combiner teams were dormant) at the end of the [[Powerlinx Battles]] shows a robot who looks similar to Skyfall and an unidentified robot. This carving would suggest that Skyfall is 20 million cycles old, nearly as old as [[Vector Prime]].

This revelation was interrupted by an emergency call from Anti-Blaze of the [[Mini-Con]] [[Council of Sages]]. A war has erupted between two factions of Mini-Cons on the moons orbitting Cybertron. The Autobots agree to help, and Sentinel Maximus, [[Omega Prime]], Skyfall, and Downshift arrive in the debris field between the two moons, where they meet up with Anti-Blaze, [[Checkpoint (Cybertron)|Checkpoint]], [[Scythe]], and Perceptor.

Intelligence shows a cannon being constructed that is aimed at the Mini-Cons' primary colony on one of the moons, guarded by a Decepticon, Landquake. Sentinel Maximus and Skyfall are sent to deal with the seemingly lone Decepticon while the others take out the [[energon]] tanks which power the cannon. Skyfall confronts Landquake, who resembles the unidentified robot from the energon pool carving.

Meanwhile, Soundwave and Unicron watch from the shadows, particularly interested in the meeting of these two Transformers.

==Synopsis==
Weary, Vector Prime enters the Chamber of [[Alpha Trion]]. Alpha Trion himself is still in the repair bay where Vector Prime had previously left him. [[Vector Sigma]] sits crumbled in the center of the chamber. He orders Downshift to put Skyfall on the table so that the repair drones can repair him. Skyfall is muttering in Ancient Cybertronian.

Optimus Prime, Sentinel Maximus, and Ultra Magnus enter the chamber, and remark at Vector Prime's state of disrepair. (The explosion of Skyfall's force field bubble damaged them both.) Sentinel Prime asks how Optimus and Magnus got here.

We see a flashback, taking place in an alternate universe. We see [[Optimus Primal]] leading the [[Children of Primus]] against the [[Minions of Unicron]] in the [[Pit]]. Primal's team consists of [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]], [[Tap-Out]], [[Ramulus (TFU)|Longhorn]], [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]], [[Sunstreaker]], [[Sideswipe (G1)|Sideswipe]], [[Fireflight (Universe)|Fireflight]], [[Omega Prime]], [[Whirl (Universe)|Whirl]], [[Repugnus (Universe)|Repugnus]], [[Trailbreaker]], [[King Atlas]], [[Roulette]], [[Prowl (RID)|Prowl]], and [[Side Burn (RID)|Side Burn]]. [[Razorclaw (Universe)|Razorclaw]] leads the opposition, consisting of [[Reptilion]], [[Tankor (Universe)|Tankor]], [[Skywarp (G1)|Skywarp]], [[Obsidian (Universe)|Obsidian]], [[Nemesis Strika]], and possibly [[Blackarachnia]].

During the middle of this battle, due to the [[Unicron Singularity]]'s effects on the multiverse, [[Unicron]] began to fall apart underneath them. The Minions of Unicron were left to their doom while Primal's team (including Blackarachnia, carried away by Silverbolt), gather themselves and head for an escape portal. Omega Prime expected to find himself on "Primal's technorganic Cybertron" on the other side of the portal, but instead found himself here, in the [[Unicron Trilogy]] universe.

(Yes, the flashback described in the previous two paragraphs gave us a glimpse at the end of the never-completed [[Universe (comic)|Transformers Universe comics]].)

Downshift is surprised to hear that this guy is "Optimus Prime." He doesn't look like the Optimus Prime he knows. Vector Prime is saddened, as Optimus' dimension-hopping tale confirms his fears. The Unicron Singularity, the black hole hovering over Cybertron, is causing the fabric of the multiverse to go wonky. All Unicrons everywhere are now trapped inside it. The past, present, and future are beginning to unravel. It could even explain those pesky memory problems the Autobots searching in this universe for the [[Cyber Planet Key]]s are experiencing.

Vector Prime pleads Sentinel Maximus to take Skyfall far away and keep him safe, and disappears in a flash of light. Where did he go?, they ask. A disembodied voice says that it can answer that question.

The voice belongs to the [[Mini-Con]] leader Over-Run, who speaks through Vector Sigma. He is Vector Prime and Sentinel Maximus' unknown ally who turned on the autoguns at the Kalis Energy Reserve Center. Downshift thinks he remembers him, but thought he died. Over-Run notes that he did indeed, but the Decepticon [[Starscream (UT)|Starscream]] had killed him while the Mini-Con was uploading himself to the Planetary Network. His death finished the process.

(Yes, again, this flashback takes place in the unfinished [[Energon (comics)|Energon comics]] from [[Dreamwave]]. We sense a trend here.)

Overrun asks them to do him a favor, now that Vector Prime, weakened severely, is back on Earth. (We see Vector Prime with [[Coby Hansen|Coby]], [[Lori]], and [[Bud Hansen|Bud]], the kids from the [[Cybertron (television series)|Cybertron television series]]. Sentinel Prime is asked to help repair Vector Sigma. Optimus and Magnus are sent to secure the [[Dead Matrix]] in the Rare Items Locker at the Archives.

As they start this task, a shadowy figure watches them from afar. (It appears to be [[Soundwave (Cybertron)|Soundwave]].)

Phew.

*Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus appear to be in their original ''Robots in Disguise'' colors now. They were in their Costco ''Cybertron'' [[exclusive]] colors before.

*In the first ''Universe'' flashback panel, Cheetor is colored in white and black. Rhinox appears to be in black and gold.

*Due to the coloring, it's kind of hard to tell whether it's Roulette or Shadow Striker that King Atlas is carrying. Rhinox is still in grays.

*Over-Run, in his flashback, is green for some reason.

*Lori's hair is colored sandy blonde when it should be black. Coby's hair is platinum blond when it should be sandy blonde. Bud's hair is black when it should be platinum blonde.

*Rob Ruffolo was allowed to do the colors.

*As mentioned above, this comic depicts events that take place in the Universe and Energon comics, both recently unfinished series. Fanwank-o-rama.
*In the flashback, Optimus Primal is in his Beast Wars Tenth Anniversary body. Sunstreaker and Sideswipe are both back in their original [[Generation 1]] bodies. It's possible Longhorn is a new form for Wreckers' Ramulus, due to his prominent placement.

*Rhinox is fighting Tankor, which is pretty cool, if you think about it.

Unicron interrupts the battle with a fantastic explosion; the Mini-Cons' purpose has been served, and they will now be terminated. Sunstorm, Thrust, and [[Ramjet (Cybertron)|Ramjet]] are disposed of, warning their followers futilely of their betrayal.

Unicron, Sentinel Maximus, and Omega Prime lock arms and guns in combat, but suddenly Over-Run contacts Omega Prime to tell them that [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] seems to be opening up, shifting, and breaking apart...

Mirage's original name was "Ligier", right? Ligier was either the manufacturer or the sponsor of the original car type, yeah, so they went with "Rijie", which might as well be "Ligier" in Japanese, it just looks retarded in English. [[User:Hooper X|-hx]] 00:26, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

Two things - first, the justification for the "sounds like" change. While Mirage does sound something like Bing Crosby, he also sounds like Dean Martin, and the fact that Welker presumably based the voice on a brief character sketch like "irresponsible playboy" means that's almost certainly what he intended. Someone should ask him someday.

Second, curiously enough, RM Mirage's instructions explicitly call him "Ligier" in English, even though the box calls him "Rijie".

But when the war started, he was forced to choose sides and found himself banded with a group of commoners he didn't really understand.

The other Autobots don't trust Mirage. He feels the war, even after all these millions of years, is beneath him. War is not, after all, how civilized, erudite beings conduct themselves. Mirage was part of the bridge crew of the [[Ark]] when it crash-landed on Earth four million years ago. A volcanic eruption in 1984 awakened the Ark's inhabitants, including Mirage, who was reformatted by [[Teletraan-1]] to have a terrestrial alt-mode of a Formula-1 racer. With the battle against the [[Decepticons]] now transplanted to Earth, Mirage still hated warfare. He longed to return to [[Cybertron]] and simply turn his back to the evil Decepticons, but his loyalty to Optimus Prime kept him in the fight.

Mirage was instrumental in stopping the Decepticons from returning to Cybertron after amassing enough energon from Earth. Deathsaurus overpowered and captured the first wave himself, and soon faced Ironhide one-on-one, while [[Ratchet (G1)|Ratchet]] attempted to rescue the fallen Autobots. Due to the assistance of Tripredacus Agent [[Flamewar]], these two were defeated and captured as well. They woke up bound inside Deathsaurus' clone lab. The Emperor of Destruction appeared on a television screen, declaring that his use for the lab was completed and was prepared to detonate it remotely with the Autobots inside. Ravage is one of the few Decepticon warriors who was granted amnesty at the end of the Great War and reformatted into a Predacon. Sent by the [[Tripredacus Council]] to capture [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]], clean up any messes he might of made, and deal with the rest of the Beast warriors. Ravage made the trip to prehistoric Earth in a specially modified stealth [[Transwarp]] space ship. He successfully contacted the [[Maximal]]s and allied with them to capture Megatron. Due to the stealth capabilities of his ship, and the fact that [[Tarantulas (BW)|Tarantulas]] was also an agent of the council, Ravage and the Maximals easily captured Megatron and imprisoned him.

Megatron, however, had one more card to play. He knew that Ravage wasn't going to let any of the Beast warriors live, and also knew he had the one thing that would turn Ravage to his side. Using a fragment from the [[Golden Disk]], Megatron played Ravage the message on it from the original [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]]. Ravage, perhaps still driven by loyalty to ''his'' Megatron, joined the [[Predacon (BW)|Predacons]] and turned on the Maximals.

Rampage was created by a [[Maximal]] experiment to recreate [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream's]] mutant, immortal [[Spark]]. Though argueably successful in this regard, the creation (then called Protoform X) was unstable. In point of fact, he was criminally insane. He destroyed [[Colony Omicron]], killing all of its inhabitants save a lone security officer, [[Depth Charge (BW)|Depth Charge]], who would eventually track him down and capture him. Afterwards, the [[Maximal Elder|Maximal Elders]] had him placed into a [[stasis pod]] aboard an exploration vessel, the [[Axalon (BW)|Axalon]]. They instructed its commander, [[Optimus Primal (BW)|Optimus Primal]], to dump him on some barren world in deep space.

Rampage was in one of the several stasis pods jettisoned by Optimus when the Axalon was damaged by [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron's]] Predacons, and only fell out of orbit far into the Beast Wars. Battle near his stasic pod shocked Rampage into activation, and he promptly set out to terrorize all nearby Transformers. After Rampage was defeated, Megatron discovered him and, using a blade of pure [[Energon]], removed a portion of his indestructible spark. Megatron placed his portion of Rampage's spark in a special cage lined with Energon crystals, which allowed him to torture him whenever Megs desired, thereby forcing Rampage to swear fealty.

Later, Depth Charge arrived on prehistoric Earth with the single-minded goal of destroying Rampage. Depth Charge's loss had embittered him, and Rampage used this emotional wound to torment the Maximal. They met in battle numerous times, fairly evenly matched. While [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] was retrieving the submerged [[Decepticon]] craft ''[[Nemesis]]'', Depth Charge met Rampage in battle one last time. At the battle's climax, Rampage allowed Depth Charge to kill him with a shard of raw Energon, resulting in a fantastic explosion which destroyed both. Rampage won even in death, laughing maniacally in triumph as Depth Charge made the final stabbing blow.

Ravage is one of the few Decepticon warriors who was granted amnesty at the end of the Great War and reformatted into a Predacon. Sent by the [[Tripredacus Council]] to capture [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]], clean up any messes he might of made, and deal with the rest of the Beast warriors. Ravage made the trip to prehistoric Earth in a specially modified stealth [[Transwarp]] space ship. He successfully contacted the [[Maximal]]s and allied with them to capture Megatron. Due to the stealth capabilities of his ship, and the fact that [[Tarantulas (BW)|Tarantulas]] was also an agent of the council, Ravage and the Maximals easily captured Megatron and imprisoned him.

Megatron, however, had one more card to play. He knew that Ravage wasn't going to let any of the Beast warriors live, and also knew he had the one thing that would turn Ravage to his side. Using a fragment from the [[Golden Disk]], Megatron played Ravage the message on it from the original [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]]. Ravage, perhaps still driven by loyalty to ''his'' Megatron, joined the [[Predacon (BW)|Predacons]] and turned on the Maximals.

Apelinq used Rodimus' physiology as a starting point for the creation of a countervirus, but suddenly, a new ship arrived through a low-altitude transwarp anomaly on Cybertron. While Rodimus and Apelinq investigated, finding the crew to be [[Primal Prime (BM)|Primal Prime]] and the surviving troops of [[Primeval Dawn]], the group was rushed by the [[Vehicon]] General [[Mirage (BM)|Mirage]]. Apelinq and Mirage were thrown through the anomaly, landing on a strange organic planet. Apelinq disposed of Mirage, but was separated from the countervirus and his transfer interlink.

I'm going under the assumption here that Armada and Cybertron Thundercracker are the same being. I know this hasn't always been the case with names/identities throughout the Unicron Trilogy, but without any real REASON to assume they're seperate characters I'm going to go with the logical assumption that they're the same character 10+ years appart.

Their Tech-spec #s kind of support this: Things "body based" change between the two, but Intelligence, Rank, and Skill, the three #s that would likely continue for a character between different bodies, all remain the same. [[User:ZacWilliam|ZacWilliam]] 23:36, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Thundercracker's MTMTE entry pretty decisively differentiates him from the character as seen in the Cybertron cartoon, but the original Armada tech specs are very harmonic with the Cybertron version. The Reconfiguration Matrix (or internal reconfiguration matrix) is a device incorporated into [[Optimus_Prime_(G1)|Optimus Prime]] which allows him to transform his body into numerous entirely distinct robot and vehicle modes.

The first mention of the Matrix was in the [[Bio_and_tech_specs|packaging bio]] for Prime's [[Go-Bots_(G2)|Go-Bot]] incarnation, though later information indicates that it was also a part of his "Laser Rod" form as well. The mechanism by which the Matrix operates is not known, but it seems certain that it has some kind of advanced matter-energy manipulation capabilities, as it not only allows Prime himself to assume dramatically different physical forms, it can reconfigure the bodies of others, and even produce new bodies for disassociated [[Spark|Sparks]].

Prime used the Matrix to generate a new form for [[Ironhide_(G1)|Ironhide]] after he was badly damaged at the battle of [[Moon Base Four]]. An even more noteworthy event involving the Matrix was the return of [[Ultra_Magnus_(G1)|Ultra Magnus]] from his death at the hands of the [[Decepticons]]. Since Magnus had briefly carried the [[Matrix of Leadership]], his Spark retained its consciousness of the world outside the [[Allspark_(dimension)|Allspark]]. Learning that [[Galvatron II]] had gained command of the [[Warworld]], he contacted Prime through the Matrix of Leadership, and used the Reconfiguration Matrix to resurrect himself. Interestingly, Magnus' new body also has the ability to transform itself into many physically disparate forms, but whether this means he also carries a copy of the Reconfiguration Matrix is unknown.

Dirge is one of the last surviving [[Insecticons_(G1)]] in the [[Beast Wars]] era. He was originally one of their primary commanders, and is fanatically loyal to the [[Decepticons]]. He possesses an array of combat abilities, from acid-secreting claws to an incapacitiating sonic screech, but his greatest asset is his tactical knowledge.

Long after the Insecticon clan had dispersed, Dirge and [[Buzzclaw_(T)|Buzzclaw]] were recruited by [[Deathsaurus]] to serve as the basis for a new army of Insecticon [[Virulent Clones]]. Deathsaurus established a research center on [[Ceti Alpha Seven]], where he unlocked the pair's long-dormant cloning abilities. When the Autobots discovered the facility and sent a team to destroy it, Dirge led an ambush against them. Although the Decepticons won that battle, the arrival of reinforcements ultimately led to an Autobot victory, with the cloning center destroyed and the clones' genetic matrices poisoned. Dirge is one of the last surviving [[Insecticons_(G1)]] in the [[Beast Wars]] era. He was originally one of their primary commanders, and is fanatically loyal to the [[Decepticons]]. He possesses an array of combat abilities, from acid-secreting claws to an incapacitiating sonic screech, but his greatest asset is his tactical knowledge.

Long after the Insecticon clan had dispersed, Dirge and [[Buzzclaw_(T)|Buzzclaw]] were recruited by [[Deathsaurus]] to serve as the basis for a new army of Insecticon [[Virulent Clones]]. Deathsaurus established a research center on [[[Ceti Alpha Seven]], where he unlocked the pair's long-dormant cloning abilities. When the Autobots discovered the facility and sent a team to destroy it, Dirge led an ambush against them. Although the Decepticons won that battle, the arrival of reinforcements ultimately led to an Autobot victory, with the cloning center destroyed and the clones' genetic matrices poisoned.
