The Planet Buster was a cannon the size of a moon, used by the Vok aliens in an attempt to destroy the prehistoric Earth.

After the Floating Island was destroyed in a battle against the Predacon forces, a beacon was sent to the Vok. Receiving this beacon, the Vok returned to the Earth and were quite displeased to see that the Beast Wars had completly wrecked their "project". Deeming the entire planet to now be a liability, the Vok revealed their magnum opus, and revealed that the Hollow Moon was in fact a weapon.

The Vok attempted to use this cannon (which Rattrap later dubbed "The Planet Buster") to ignite every Energon deposit on the planet, resulting in an explosion powerful enough to destroy the planet itself!

In order to destroy the weapon, Optimus confiscated a custom-built Stasis Pod (which Tarantulas had built as a means for Blackarachnia and himself to escape from the planet) and loaded it with an explosive.

Optimus's plan was to fly the Pod into the core of the Planet Buster, where the bomb would explode, taking out the Buster with it. Unfortunantly, the Pod itself was a trap, set by Megatron, which revealed itself when Optimus tried to escape from immenent explosion. The plan to destroy the Planet Buster succeeded, but cost the Maximals their leader.

As an unforseen development, the destruction of the Planet Buster created a massive quantum surge. This surge mutated several Transformers into Transmetals, and damaged the stasis pods of others (resulting in the Fuzors and Transmutate). The destruction of the stasis pod's Transwarp Cell also created a transwarp wave which travelled across space and time, eventually reaching a Predacon outpost in the "present" time of the Beast Era, the time from which the Beast Warriors hailed. Upon intercepting this wave, the Tripredacus Council sent an agent to investigate.
Stomping along, Giant Decepticon Warrior tried to stomp a tiny Micromaster city. The Micromasters didn't cotton to this and swarmed him like hundreds of tiny ninjas, crawling all over Warrior and toppling him.

(Note: It is worth mentioning that the city Warrior was trying to stomp contained both Autobot and Decepticon Micromaster bases. Clearly, he is indiscriminate in his stomping.)

The Ultimate Guide
The Giant Decepticon Warrior is shown in an illustration of Maccadam's Old Oil House, where he appears to be serving the role of bouncer, hauling an unruly patron away via the popular "robo-snuggy" move. Here he's not exactly giant, but still pretty big. Any relation to Maccadams' other bouncer, Rocky, is speculative at best.

Trivia
* The descriptor "Giant Decepticon Warrior" was given by the Japanese Transformers Generations guidebook.

* His model appears to be a frankensteining of several extant characters with details altered; his feet seem to derive from the Autobot Headmaster Fortress Maximus, his torso and forearms from Cerebros, while his head, shins and colors are generally reminiscent of the Decepticon Headmaster Scorponok.

No by-the-book soldier is Outback; for him, the rules of war
are the rules of Rafferty. If the beaten track winds, it's a fair bet he'll go straight. He's more comfortable out in the never never anyway, up grades as steep as 50 degrees, or kicking up willie willies at 110 mph. His insubordination gains him little respect from his mates, and often he finds no partner on his missions but Pat Malone and his trusty rooftop tank-jigger, loaded with armor-piercing shells.

Way in the back blocks of Outback's mind, however, there lurks a dark certainty. By the rules of Rafferty he lives, and by these rules, he
is sure, Outback's bound to be a write off. The army's run by Wallies and the war's a no-hoper, but he's not totally clapped-out yet, so he'll give it his best whirl. It's not the best attitude, but he'll share it with anyone without reserve. Outback calls a spade a ruddy spade.

Let a mission go down the gurgler, though, and Outback's the one who'll sort it. He may be largely a mediocrity; he may be an insubordinate grizzle, but his courage is beyond reproach. By the rules of Rafferty he lives, and so far they've served him well.
Surprised by a lone Decepticon killer Outback was saved from death by Optimus Prime who had accidentally returned to Cybertron along with Megatron. He later tried to save Optimus Prime from being executed as a spy by the Wreckers due to a rumour spread by Megatron.

When Ultra Magnus refuses to believe him, Outback helped Optimus Prime to escape. The two went on the run together and pursued by the Wreckers and a squad of Guardian Droids. Outback was later seriously wounded in battle with the Guardian Droids and Optimus Prime was forced to carry him to safety.

Hiding in the Dead End of Cybertron, hoping that Outback’s would recover, Optimus Prime told him the story of what happened when he was displaced to the limbo dimension when Galvatron travelled back in time. Target 2006

Outback ultimately survived when Prime’s tale was overheard by Ultra Magnus and Emirate Xaaron, convincing them of his identity.
Dreamwave Comics continuity
Outback was among the group of new recruits who failed to take on the Auto-Combatant training drones on Cybertron after Shockwave's rule was toppled.

Timelines: Descent into Evil
Outback, having at this point renamed himself Fallback to complement his revived sense of optimism, led an Autobot strike force consisting of Chromia, Flareup and Ricochet to the planet Ceti Alpha Seven. Their target was the Insecticon cloning facility constructed there by the Decepticon general Deathsaurus. The first batch of Virulent Clones had already been completed, and the team found itself under attack before they ever reached the lab. The youngest member of the Hazard Mini-Con Team, Impulsor lives up to his name. Impulsor's Mini-Con Storage Panel was one of several that were stored within Redline's chest compartment. Before Redline underwent the Master Key process to unlock his full potential, he entrusted the remaining two panels he held to Stella Holley. When the Unicron minion Ravenus attacked and made off with Twirl, Stella activated the two panels, realizing they needed more help, releasing Impulsor and his teammate Quench. The two were quickly joined by their leader Kingbolt, and the Hazard Mini-Con Team was back in action!
Impulsor tried to prevent the captured Aqua Raider Team from escaping, but their Trans-Phase mode "energy" forms were completely unaffected by his shots. He and Quench gave chase, but were called off since Redline had accomplished his task and neutralized the evil Mini-Cons' primary weapon, the Doomstone.

When the Mini-Cons on Earth gathered in order to meet up with their comrades under the care of the Autobots for their return to Cybertron, Impulsor gave Stella a great big hug. Which she took rather gracefully, really, considering she barely knew him. A hug Quench apparently got a little envious over.

The Hazard Team reunited, they faced off against the forces of their creator Unicron high over Cybertron. His teammates Powerlinxed with Overload, but Impulsor was not seen. It's possible he helped form the gigantic Mini-Con-powered "anti" Unicron. Impulsor's fate after the battle is unknown, but it's highly likely he's okay.

Fiction
Animated continuity
Armada cartoon
At some point Over-Run powerlinxed to Optimus Prime's back and let him perform an awesome power punch.

Dreamwave comics continuity
Armada
Over-Run came to this universe after his own was destroyed by Unicron. With him he brought the Mini-Con Matrix, an artifact into which all the Mini-Cons of his universe had placed their spark essences. Upon arriving, he immediately set up a beacon which attracted the attention of Autobots and Decepticons alike. Hot Shot and Mirage arrived first, but was shot down by Starscream, who attempted to claim Over-Run for himself, seeing him merely as another Mini-Con to be used for battle and not realizing his origins. As Starscream bent over to capture him, though, he was attacked by Galvatron, one of Unicron's heralds who had been sent to destroy Over-Run and the Matrix. Mirage, however, took advantage of Galvatron's distraction with Starscream and cloaked both himself and Over-Run. Believing his quarry to have eluded him, Galvatron left, and Over-Run was brought back to the Autobot base.

When Over-Run arrived, he learned that his appearance in this universe had shunted Optimus Prime into his own. Over-Run suggested using his inter-dimensional pod to retrieve him, but unfortunately it was now in the custody of the Decepticons. Over-Run and several other Mini-Cons departed for the Decepticon base at Silver Ridge to retrieve it. After evading Unicron's other heralds and locating the pod, Over-Run, Sparkplug, and Comettor activated the pod and transported themselves to the Cybertron of Over-Run's universe, which was mere moments away from becoming Unicron's next meal. They located Optimus Prime (as well as Jetfire, who had arrived on this Cybertron as well by jumping into a space bridge portal), and used the Mini-Con Matrix to power up all five of their forms. Optimus Prime and Jetfire combined, and the Mini-Cons linked with them, and they blasted Unicron hard enough to make him notice them before warping back to their own universe.

After bringing together all of Earth's Mini-Cons, Over-Run led them through a space bridge portal to Cybertron, where they channeled all of their spark essences through the Mini-Con Matrix, allowing them to defeat Unicron.
Armada_%28Dreamwave_comic%29#Volume_3:_Worlds_Collide

Energon
Years later, Over-Run had (seemingly permanently) connected himself directly to Cybertron. He created the Omnicons by nurturing the natural evolution processes on Cybertron. When Optimus Prime was unable to convince the Council that Unicron was not truly destroyed, Over-Run told him how he could interface with Cybertron himself to learn the truth.
This Evil Reborn

Unfortunately, Dreamwave Productions declared bankruptcy before Over-Run's story could be expanded on. However, the Hasbro Transformers Collectors' Club comic alluded to the fact that Starscream, revived as an energon ghost, would have destroyed him.

Fun Publications comic continuity
Cybertron
Over-Run has spent the last 20 years in silence, having uploaded his internal spark into Cybertron itself. Just as Starscream killed him in Energon, the upload was complete. He made his presense known while the dimension-hopping Autobots were trying to find a way to keep the damaged Vector Sigma online. Over-Run assisted in relaying messages and studying Cybertron's physical state while facing the Unicron Singularity. It was he who discovered that Skyfall shared traits with the ancient combiners depicted on the walls and ceiling of the Energon temple below Cybertron's surface.
:Rad is a human character in the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Bradley "Rad" White is your typical kid who's the son of brilliant scientists. He likes to ride his bike, he likes to explore caves, he likes to grab excitedly at radioactive things-- wait, what?

Basically, Rad has a natural, insatiable curiosity about all things. Unfortunately, this curiosity goes unchecked when he's hanging out with his best friend Carlos, so it takes the watchful eye of the intelligent-but-much-more-reserved Alexis to keep them both out of trouble. His parents hope that some day Rad can channel this curiosity more productively.

Fiction
Animated continuity
Armada
:Voice actor: Kirby Morrow (US), Masataka Nakai (Japan)

One day, Rad and Carlos went exploring into the caverns deep beneath the local observatory. Inside, they found the curious remains of a clearly artificial construction, seemingly far in advance of human technology. Against the advice of Carlos, Rad was drawn towards a glowing green pentagonal artifact half buried in the rubble. Touching it, the entire structure began to shake, suddenly springing to life as thousands of computers lit up the walls.

At home, Alexis felt the tremors and used her computer to pinpoint the epicenter of the apparent earthquake as the mountain caverns that Rad and Carlos were exploring. Similarly, the scientists and researchers at the observatory were baffled by the sudden movement of the Earth. As Rad and Carlos made their escape with the artifact, a bright light engulfed the chamber they were in, simultaneously shutting down all electronic equipment in Licoln, as well as emitting three distinctly coloured distress signals beams into the sky.

One beam, green, reached an ancient starship wreck on the dark side of the moon, causing it to fire hundreds of smaller beams of green light at the Earth. The two remaining signal beams, coloured red and purple, continued deep into space until it reached a cold, distant metal world.

Little did Rad know that he had unwittingly set in motion the next destructive phase in the great Transformers war, an endless battle of rage and hatred between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. Thanks a lot, kid.

By 2020, Rad had been shipped off to Cybertron and was working as an assistant to Dr. Brian Jones, presumably because he wouldn't shut up about the Transformers.

Much to Dr. Jones' chagrin, his daughter appears to have a thing for Rad.
* According to the now-defunct TV Tokyo Micron Legend website, Rad was 12 years old at the start of Armada. The page also stated that he enjoyed outdoor sports, and implied that Optimus Prime gave him Laserbeak as a personal possession.

* The Reader's Digest Transformers Armada Official Guidebook backs up that Rad was 12 years old at the start of Armada and that he enjoyed outdoor sports, specifically on his BMX bike.

* Rad has the unfortunate penchant of saying '"Wicked Sweet!", usually when something impresses him greatly. It is quite possible that by 2010 this will be an acceptable form of slang.

* As stated in the first episode, Rad, Carlos, Alexis, Billy and Fred go to Lincoln Middle School. Exciting trivia!
