Lets just face: the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobot]]s like to kill things. They like it a lot. And they like to get up close and personal when doing it. But there are times where teeth and tail just won't cut it. When that time comes, the Dinobots will usually use their '''energo-swords'''.

Ratbat led an ambush on both Fortress Maximus and [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]]'s respective Autobot contigents while Grimlock and [[Blaster]] dueled for leadership on [[Earth]]'s [[moon (moon)|moon]]. While the Decepticon forces overwhelmed the Autobots on the surface of the moon, the [[Club Con|island base]] attacked the Autobots from above, protected by a force field. However, Grimlock's energo-sword was able to cut through the force field, allowing Blaster to shoot the island base with his [[Electro-Scrambler]], forcing a Decepticon retreat. {{storylink|Totaled!}}

Apparently, [[Snarl (G1)|Snarl]]'s energo-sword can fire energy blasts. He did this when the [[Constructicon]]s attacked the [[Autobot]]s [[Ark (G1)|base]] in an attempt to destroy [[Teletraan I]]. {{storylink|Heavy Metal War}} Later, after going to [[Dinobot Island]], Snarl used the energo-sword to for shooting at rocks during target practice. While searching for [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]], Grimlock used his energo-sword as a grapple to lower himself down a chasm. That's pretty handy for a weapon. Later, he shoved the energo-sword into the [[Prime (rank)|Autobot leader]]'s hands, telling him to prove himself by killing [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]], or be killed by Grimlock. {{storylink|The War Within, Part 5}} Optimus Prime used the weapon to beat Megatron senseless, but spared his life, and left the energo-sword behind. Considering the fact Optimus Prime wasn't immediately slagged, it appears that Grimlock didn't really care. {{storylink|The War Within, Part 6}}

After learning that [[Jetfire (G1)|Jetfire]] was meeting [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] in the [[Neutral Territories]], Grimlock decided to kill them both, trying to use his energo-sword to decapitate Jetfire. When the [[Fallen]] appeared, Grimlock tried to destroy him, but the Fallen merely grabbed the blade of the energo-sword with his ''bare hand''. ==History==
Hasbro was originally founded in 1923 as "Hassenfeld Brothers" by brothers Henry and Helal Hassenfeld from Rhode Island. The company originally sold textile remnants, but soon moved into manufacturing pencil boxes and school supplies.

In 1952, Hasbro first rose to fame with the release of a toy named [[Optimash Prime|Mr. Potato Head]], which is still very popular today.

In 1964, Hasbro had an even greater success with the original [[G.I. Joe]] toy designed by Don Levine, which caused Hassenfeld Bros. to grow to be one of the largest toy companies in the USA. In 1968, the company would change its name to "Hasbro Industries, Inc."

Through a series of importing licenses and spin-offs, G.I. Joe would ultimately lead to the [[Microman]] and [[Diaclone]] toylines by Japanese toymaker [[Takara]], which in turn would lead to Hasbro's release of the original Transformers toyline in 1984.

In 1984, Hasbro would also buy out a competing toy company named [[Milton Bradley]] (MB), which whould result in the merged company briefly assuming the name "Hasbro Bradley, Inc." After the merger was completed, the company changed its name into simply "Hasbro, Inc." Milton Bradley's European facilities would also be used to manufacture the initial wave of Transformers toys to be released in Europe before the merger was completed. In 1995, Hasbro transferred control of the Transformers franchise to its [[Kenner]] subsidiary, then phased out the Kenner brand in 2000.

[[Fandom|Fandom's]] relationship with Hasbro is as paradoxical and confusing as our relationships with our [[Wikipedia:Alcoholism|Parents]]. They are an incredible source of joy and happiness, as well as the focal point of rage and blame for pretty much everyone in the Transformers community. To much of the fandom, Hasbro's actual involvement in the Transformers franchise is rarely acknowledged when not negative. Many view their activities to subsist entirely of:

* Slapping fans in the face.
* Getting things all wrong.
* Screwing up Takara's toys.

* Trying to make money.

Hasbro now recognizes that abruptly and graphically killing off nearly all of the 1984-85 cast in the [[The Transformers: The Movie (1986)|animated movie]] was a mistake that hurt the brand. Though it is but the tip of the iceberg, some of Welker's most notable roles include Fred from ''Scooby Doo'', Ray and Slimer from ''[[Dr. Susan Hoffman#Dr. Hoffman's Assistants|The Real Ghostbusters]]'', Santa's Little Helper in "The Simpsons", Nibbler from ''Futurama'', Dr. Claw from ''Inspector Gadget'' and that parrot that got eaten by the shark in ''Deep Blue Sea''. He has also done nearly all the animal sounds recorded for cartoons in North America in the last few decades.
