== Movie Launch==

Hey Guys, Was wondering if you were going to put anything on the home page about the movie launching tonight? I was going to put this wiki in the spotlight starting Friday to promote it, but I think its needs a more recognizable logo so people will click on it. == The Funny ==

Maybe if the stuff you said was funny, no one would have a problem with it, but most of the jokes on here are pretty lame, it's not about transformers fans being serious, it's about your jokes being bad. When other people try to put there humor in it, you erase it. Sooooo make the jokes funny and you wont have to worry about it. Besides the Real Wikipedia has more information on transformers than the one dedicated to transformers have, what gives. Maybe before you work on your lame jokes you can fill out the information on the article. Sorry just what I think about it, don't take to much offence. {{unsigned|67.140.110.210}}

:Humor is subjective. Pesonally, I consider most of the jokes on this site to be neutral. They are clearly trying to be silly, but neither funny nor painful. They merely lighten the tone. Users who show up here and do nothing but change jokes into different jokes are clearly not accomplishing anything. The new jokes are never any better -- they are merely different, and often worse. That is a waste of everybody's time. I haven't spent a lot of time browsing Transformers material on Wikipedia, but I highly doubt that their information is ''better'', even if there might be a larger quantity of it. What little I've seen there has been disorganized, mixes fan assertions with canon, and is at times not even reliable. ::Yep, this wiki is a far more reliable source of information for Transformers than the Wikipedia shall ever be. I've corrected some of their base assumptions and half-truths upon occassion. If we lack information for something, '''then feel free to contribute''' to our wiki or wait for one of us to get around to it. Really, what the Wikipedia offers is rather generalised information and (as steve-o points out) fan-assumed fanon and downright false information. Besides, we provide the Transformers info that the users on the wikipedia either don't know or won't bother with, such as info on the toys, their designers, toy construction materials, obscure series and/or characters and so on.

==Logos for 'By series' column==
I was uploading some logos for the franchise pages, and it got me thinking - the By series column on the main page is basically a bunch of text, and for either visual-minded people or those who aren't as familiar with TF, it can be confusing. How about we get brand/franchise logos for all the series so far and put them into the column? The logos would be easier to see and recognisable.

I made [http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/166/logosbyseriesec4.jpg this] - the logos there are at 250px, but I later reduced that to 150px and they still seem fine (unless you've a super-high resolution on a less than super-large monitor). Its quite rough there, series logos are missing (and I've not actually changed the page itself), but what do you guys think? --[[User:FFN|FFN]] 18:01, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

It would free up clutter if we had the American logos and do away with the text saying what it is. Perhaps you are right. But I still suggest that the image be replaced or removed entirely. Many images exist on the site that are far better, and could be put to use in its place. Maybe it's just me, but I think it might be a good idea to include a page that features the various references made to the Transformers franchise in different forms of media and popular culture, i.e. Optimus Prime's cameo in ''The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy''; Prime and Soundwave on ''Family Guy''; the "Rad Rad Robotank" that's appeared every once in a while in ''Homestar Runner'', etc. Anyone else think so?

:Hell yeah, seconded! One of my favorite bits of Wookieepedia is checking out all the different star wars references they catch and list. Seeing a list of real-world transformer references, cameos and sightings would be sweet. Hell, I think it would be fascinating just to see TF sightings. "Oh, so the toy that kid was playing with in this obscure movie was just a <insert TF here> that the prop department repainted. Capitalist first, Decepticon second, '''Swindle''' is a con-man, an opportunist, a hustler -- or as he would put it, an entrepreneur. Unlike his fellow Combaticons, the Autobot-Decepticon war is to him merely an opportunity for networking, cutting deals, and making profit. He's an expert on all manner of weaponry and their market prices, and he prides himself on being able to sell anything to pretty much anybody. All he needs is a smile.

Swindle can combine with the other Combaticons to form [[Bruticus (G1)|Bruticus]].

Swindle was originally a Decepticon criminal on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], who apparently got caught and had his [[spark|personality component]] locked in a detention center, where he was stuck for millions of years. He was eventually liberated along with five other prisoners by [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]], who installed Swindle into an old military jeep found at [[Guadalcanal]] on [[Earth]]. Starscream dubbed the Decepticons "Combaticons" and ordered them to help him defeat [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]]. While Swindle and the others were not too happy with this, Starscream blackmailed them to do it anyway. The plan eventually failed, and Swindle and the Combaticons were banished to an asteroid along with Starscream.{{storylink|Starscream's Brigade}}

The Combaticons later escaped the asteroid and attacked Cybertron together as Bruticus. After being defeated again, Swindle and the Combaticons were reprogrammed to be loyal to Megatron.{{storylink|The Revenge of Bruticus}}

Megatron next ordered the Combaticons to steal fighter planes by using Middle-Eastern criminals. Swindle was the personal ride of [[Ali]], the thief leader, and led the caravans with parts to Megatron. He later merged with the others to form Bruticus, who was defeated by the [[Aerialbot (G1)|Aerialbots]].

Bruticus was next defeated by [[Defensor]], and Swindle was the sole survivor of the team. He proceeded to sell the parts of his comrades to various [[El Presidente|people]]. Megatron forced him to locate the parts and rebuild the Combaticons, which he eventually did. They then turned into Bruticus, who was defeated and blown away.{{storylink|B.O.T. (episode)|B.O.T.}}

The Combaticons first U.S. appearance was unexplained in the American comic, however it may be assumed that they were created in the same way as the [[Stunticon]]s were (it is possible that they were recruited from Cybertron. See the article on the comic issue [[Afterdeath]] for more). The Combaticons joined Megatron on a mission to invade the company 'Energy Futures Industries' in order to steal a hydrothermocline, which the Decepticons wanted to steal for their own energy resources. This mission resulted not only in success for the Decepticons, but also in the death of Autobot leader Optimus Prime, despite Swindle's individual failure in his part of the mission.

Swindle soon accompanied his fellow Decepticons to a new base in Carribean, at which time Megatron disappeared and Shockwave assumed command of the Earth-bound Decepticon.

Swindle (and the other Combaticons) battled Defensor on several occasions, though without great success. He had better success during the Decepticon ambush of the Autobots on the Moon, where the Autobots had gathered to resolve a leadership dispute. Swindle specifically attacked Brawn with his Scatter Blaster, and commented that Brawn was not a great Autobot warrior but he would have a bright future as spare parts. When the combined forces of Blaster and [[Grimlock]] managed to pierce the ship's protective force field, [[Ratbat]] commanded all Decepticons on the surface of the Moon to return to the ship and retreat.

Swindle also served as part of the 'friendly' staff on the beach of the Decepticons Carribean island, when the Decepticons used the base as a human vacation resort. Swindle was there to serve every need that the humans might require.

====Generation 2====
Swindle gave Megatron a tour of the [[Warworld]] when the Decepticon leader forcibly took command of the Decepticons back from [[Bludgeon (G1)|Bludgeon]]. This ultimately led to a chamber where many new Decepticon bodies awaited, needing the [[Matrix]] to give them life.

He is later seen briefly as part of the first wave of defenders when the Warworld was attacked by the next-generation Cybertronians commanded by [[Jhiaxus (G2)|Jhiaxus]] after the Autobots and Decepticons had forged an alliance of necessity against said forces. Swindle's fate is not revealed, but considering the Cybertronian troops --led by the traitor [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]]-- killed several Decepticons and ultimately overtook the battleship, it doesn't look too good for Swindle.

===Dreamwave comics continuity===

Swindle sided with Starscream when the [[seeker]] tried to usurp command of the Decepticon's from Megatron (what a surprise) shortly after the onset of the Cybertronian civil war. He assisted in the interogation of [[Laserbeak]] and didn't take part in the assault upon [[Iacon]].

Millions of years later, Swindle, along with his fellow Combaticons, was imprisioned by [[Shockwave]]. That is until he was sprung by Starscream. Wonder what that cost him.

When [[Sunstorm (G1)|Sunstorm]] appeared on Earth, the battered Combaticons were ordered by Starscream to combine into Bruticus and deal with the crazed zealot. It did not end well.

The repaired Combaticons were brought to the Guadalcanal where they could hone their somewhat lackluster combat skills and listen to Starscream's long-winded aspirations of glory. When Swindle commented on Starscream's mental state, Brawl agreed, stating that he'd like to pull the Air Commander's Cerebro circuits straight out of his faceplate so they could get a better look at them, to which Swindle suggested a 'deal' for this to happen. Starscream overheard their conversation, and informed the smaller Decepticont that the only 'deal' he needed to worry about was how Starscream would deal with Swindle for his scheming. Starscream nevertheless lets it pass for the moment in order for the Combaticons to test themselves against the magnificent Autobot [[Sky Lynx (G1)|Sky Lynx]]. Unfortunately, the Combaticons do not fare well when the crafty Autobot splits into his two forms, with Swindle, Brawl and Onslaught nearly crushed by the Lynx's right paw.

This was the least of their troubles, however, as [[Predaking]] showed up as soon as Sky Lynx was deactivated. As the Combaticons closed in on the [[Predacon]] combiner, Swindle had trouble keeping up with the rest of the group before they formed Bruticus. He was eventually liberated along with five other prisoners by [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]], who installed Swindle into an old military jeep found at [[Guadalcanal]] on [[Earth]]. Starscream dubbed the Decepticons "Combaticons" and ordered them to help him defeat [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]]. While Swindle and the others were not too happy with this, Starscream blackmailed them to do it anyway. The Combaticons later escaped the asteroid and attacked Cybertron together as Bruticus. After being defeated again, Swindle and the Combaticons were reprogrammed to be loyal to Megatron.{{storylink|The Revenge of Bruticus}}

Megatron next ordered the Combaticons to steal fighter planes by using Middle-Eastern criminals. Swindle was the personal ride of [[Ali]], the thief leader, and led the caravans with parts to Megatron. Bruticus was next defeated by [[Defensor]], and Swindle was the sole survivor of the team. He proceeded to sell the parts of his comrades to various [[El Presidente|people]]. The Combaticons first U.S. appearance was unexplained in the American comic, however it may be assumed that they were created in the same way as the [[Stunticon]]s were (it is possible that they were recruited from Cybertron. See the article on the comic issue [[Afterdeath]] for more). The Combaticons joined Megatron on a mission to invade the company 'Energy Futures Industries' in order to steal a hydrothermocline, which the Decepticons wanted to steal for their own energy resources. This mission resulted not only in success for the Decepticons, but also in the death of Autobot leader Optimus Prime, despite Swindle's individual failure in his part of the mission.

Swindle soon accompanied his fellow Decepticons to a new base in Carribean, at which time Megatron disappeared and Shockwave assumed command of the Earth-bound Decepticon.

Swindle (and the other Combaticons) battled Defensor on several occasions, though without great success. He had better success during the Decepticon ambush of the Autobots on the Moon, where the Autobots had gathered to resolve a leadership dispute. Swindle specifically attacked Brawn with his Scatter Blaster, and commented that Brawn was not a great Autobot warrior but he would have a bright future as spare parts. When the combined forces of Blaster and [[Grimlock]] managed to pierce the ship's protective force field, [[Ratbat]] commanded all Decepticons on the surface of the Moon to return to the ship and retreat.

Swindle also served as part of the 'friendly' staff on the beach of the Decepticons Carribean island, when the Decepticons used the base as a human vacation resort. Swindle was there to serve every need that the humans might require.

Swindle gave Megatron a tour of the [[Warworld]] when the Decepticon leader forcibly took command of the Decepticons back from [[Bludgeon (G1)|Bludgeon]]. This ultimately led to a chamber where many new Decepticon bodies awaited, needing the [[Matrix]] to give them life.

He is later seen briefly as part of the first wave of defenders when the Warworld was attacked by the next-generation Cybertronians commanded by [[Jhiaxus (G2)|Jhiaxus]] after the Autobots and Decepticons had forged an alliance of necessity against said forces. Swindle's fate is not revealed, but considering the Cybertronian troops --led by the traitor [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]]-- killed several Decepticons and ultimately overtook the battleship, it doesn't look too good for Swindle.

Swindle sided with Starscream when the [[seeker]] tried to usurp command of the Decepticon's from Megatron (what a surprise) shortly after the onset of the Cybertronian civil war. He assisted in the interogation of [[Laserbeak]] and didn't take part in the assault upon [[Iacon]].

Millions of years later, Swindle, along with his fellow Combaticons, was imprisioned by [[Shockwave]]. That is until he was sprung by Starscream. Wonder what that cost him.

When [[Sunstorm (G1)|Sunstorm]] appeared on Earth, the battered Combaticons were ordered by Starscream to combine into Bruticus and deal with the crazed zealot. It did not end well.

The repaired Combaticons were brought to the Guadalcanal where they could hone their somewhat lackluster combat skills and listen to Starscream's long-winded aspirations of glory. When Swindle commented on Starscream's mental state, Brawl agreed, stating that he'd like to pull the Air Commander's Cerebro circuits straight out of his faceplate so they could get a better look at them, to which Swindle suggested a 'deal' for this to happen. Starscream overheard their conversation, and informed the smaller Decepticont that the only 'deal' he needed to worry about was how Starscream would deal with Swindle for his scheming. Starscream nevertheless lets it pass for the moment in order for the Combaticons to test themselves against the magnificent Autobot [[Sky Lynx (G1)|Sky Lynx]]. Unfortunately, the Combaticons do not fare well when the crafty Autobot splits into his two forms, with Swindle, Brawl and Onslaught nearly crushed by the Lynx's right paw.

This was the least of their troubles, however, as [[Predaking]] showed up as soon as Sky Lynx was deactivated. As the Combaticons closed in on the [[Predacon]] combiner, Swindle had trouble keeping up with the rest of the group before they formed Bruticus. Deathcobra was summoned by [[Deathsaurus]] to join his cadre of warriors and complete the team that would form the goliath Liokaiser. However, he was intercepted on his way to the Decepticons' base by Hellbat, who begged him to just go away, fearing that with Deathcobra on the team, his usefulness was at an end.

Naturally, Deathcobra told Hellbat to stick it in his [[reactor linkage]], and the jittery Hellbat threatened to shoot his rival. Deathcorba advanced anyway, and in a panic, Hellbat actually ''did'' shoot him. This led to a firefight where Hellbat was tremendously outclassed, but a wild, lucky shot ended up killing Deathcobra.

Realizing what a deep pile he was in, Hellbat was saved when he realized the fight had been witnessed by the [[Micromaster]]s [[Holi]] and [[Clipper]], letting him place the blame for Deathcobra's death on the [[Autobot]]s, and ensuring his position as part of Liokaiser.
