The series was four issues long, with a script adapted by [[Bob Budiansky]] and artwork by [[Don Figueroa]]. The comic is very faithful to the finished film, with most of the dialogue being lifted straight from the movie aside from the characters saying each others' names more often. Figueroa's artwork in this series is a bit of a departure from his usual style, with character designs that are much closer to the standard [[Floro Dery]] models that were used in the original G1 comics and cartoons.<br />
