A Junkion may even be reduced to a pile of parts, only to come back at their enemy less than a minute later. Junkions in battle are utterly fearless, using tag-team and ambush tactics to keep mobile while swarming their opponents en masse.
When a group of Autobots crashlanded on their planet, the Junkions saw them as nothing but intruding thieves. Without warning, Wreck-Gar and his Junkions led an assault on them, but they soon halted when another group of Autobots arrived and proved their friendliness with the universal greeting. Two Junkions came with Wreck-Gar when he travelled to planet Goo to save his Autobot friends. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 4 The exiled Decepticon Octane later worked with Junkions to freight scrapmetal between their planet to Cybertron. Starscream's Ghost The defensive Junkions later chased off a number of Sharkticons that had landed on their planet in search of a Quintesson journal. In response, the Quintessons hijacked the Junkions' precious television signals, planting subliminal messages that caused the Junkions to consider all other races to be their enemies. Even worse, the Junkions got the bright idea to share these transmissions, beaming them out in the galaxy and causing sentient races everywhere to fight eachother. The brainwashed Junkions were eventually fixed when Blaster countered the transmissions with some of his own. The Big Broadcast of 2006
After Salvage damaged Wreck-Gar, the Junkions swarmed the intruders and forced them to retreat into space. Down but not out, the Recyclons decided to fire the Prime Processing Unit to recycle the entire planet from orbit, but the Junkions fired a tractor beam in return, sending their ship crashing violently into Junk. The Dreadnoks claim to have found their new bikes in a junkyard at some point. No indication is given that the bikes are living Transformers, leaving it simply an Easter egg for the reader.
:Junkyard is a Junkion from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Junkyard is the public face of Junkion commerce. When other civilizations come to buy used and refurbished components, more likely than not they find themselves opposite his cheerful patter and easy smile.

Unlike most Junkions, whose non sequitur laced speech pattern is virtually unintelligible to outsiders, Junkyard limits himself to references whose meaning remains clear even to the uninitiated, and has sometimes (when stressed) even been known to speak in plain English!

Junkyard is notably good at identifying the needs of his customers in order to forge lifelong business relationships, as well as being a skilled technician. Direct combat is not his forte.

The Transformers: The Movie
Junkyard was among Wreck-Gar's war party that attacked the Autobots, initially in motorcycle mode. His rider attacked Arcee with an axe, she retaliated by using a rotating scythe, which sent them tumbling head-over-heels and ripped off Junkyard's arm. He restored the damage and returned to the chase.

Junkyard was standing behind Wreck-Gar when the Autobot Hot Rod made parley with the Junkions via the Universal greeting, and took part in a spontaneous song-and-dance sequence to celebrate the alliance. After, he led a small group which gathered the remains of the fallen Ultra Magnus and restored him to life.

Wreck-Gar was speaking to Junkyard when Hot Rod's question about Galvatron's location resulted in the wildly popular decision to "destroy Unicron." The trader was with Wreck-Gar on the bridge of the Minnow when Unicron crushed it. The Transformers: The Movie

Season 3
:Voice actor: Jerry Houser (english)
some time later, the exiled Decepticon Octane traveled the Junkion to pick up a load of used components, intending to transport them to Cybertron. Junkyard's cheerful, garrulous demeanor irritated Octane, whom believed (based on past experience with the trader) was trying to sell him more merchandise than he could actually transport. After being bid a friendly goodbye, Octane declared Junkyard a "jerk" under his breath and made a racial slur against all Junkions. Starscream's Ghost
The Big Broadcast of 2006

Marvel UK comics
Junkyard approached the <strike>bounty hunter</strike> freelance peace-keeper Death's Head during a pursuit on the Planet of Junk, attempting to hire him to liberate his people, who had fallen under the thrall of Unicron. Junkyard told Deaths Head he shouldn't terminate his prey (renegade Decepticons Cyclonus and Scourge) if they could be used against Unicron, citing the old Junkion saying "Never waste raw materials."

Under Deaths Head's direction Junkyard pretended to be one of the enthralled workforce and lay high explosives around Unicron's <strike>foothold</strike> headhold on the planet. However as the trader approached Unicron, his mind was snared by Unicron's control and he was unable to lay the explosives. When Cyclonus and Scourge launched a diversionary attack, he broke free and attempted to warn off Death's Head. Unicron destroyed him for his trouble. The Legacy of Unicron!

A few months later, Junkyard was present when Rodimus Prime tried to contact Junk for information about the missing Wreck-Gar, who had been abducted by the Quintessons. Junkyard had a hard time keeping a straight face as they blew smoke up Rodimus's demands for information, smirking smugly at his overacting comrade.Space Pirates!

Shortly thereafter, Junkyard and his friend were waiting for Wreck-Gar on a small asteroid in the Delta six Quadrant. The Junkions had intercepted the Quintesson Journal (lobbed in their direction by the missing Wreck-Gar) some time ago) and had completed a jerry-rigged setup to relay its contents via the Junkion World Service.Space Pirates!

The journal, documenting the Quintessons far-reaching plans of conquest for hundreds of inhabited worlds, utterly ruined the Quintessons reputation in the galaxy. Make you wanna grin, doesn't it? Space Pirates!

Trivia
*Junkyard is one of two non-Wreck-Gar Junkions to have a full character model <small>(including alternate mode)</small> developed for The Transformers: The Movie. Both are present in almost every Junkion crowd scene.
* The 1986 profile book series identified this character's design as "Junkion 1" and his compatriot as "Junkion 2."
* Over time, "Junkion 1" has consistently been shown conducting or discussing trade with non-Junkions, probably because his design is the 'friendlier' of the two.
* The name Junkyard comes from the Complete Ark books.
* It is also a name for a G.I. Joe.
Junkions are a tribe (or possibly race) of Transformers that inhabit the planetoid also known as Junkion. Their historical origin is unclear, although some sources imply that they may indeed be descended from Cybertronians. More Than Meets The Eye (G1)

They have very unique physiology, seemingly made of little more than the same rusted scraps of trash metal that compose their homeworld. They are capable of not only withstanding damage that would normally incapacitate or kill the average Transformer, but quickly repairing that damage using any pieces of scrap metal they can get their hands on. A Junkion may even be reduced to a pile of parts, only to come back at their enemy less than a minute later. Junkions in battle are utterly fearless, using tag-team and ambush tactics to keep mobile while swarming their opponents en masse.

They are also expert mechanics, even able to repair with remarkable ease Transformers normal medical science would write off as dead. How the Junkions have developed in this manner has yet to be explained.

Junkion culture is centered on one thing: Earth broadcasting. Their speech is a hodgepodge of television and radio clippings, making them oftentimes hard to understand. Junkions as a whole are somewhat childlike and naive. They are curious, but also tend to be wary of, if not outright hostile towards, newcomers to their planet (far too many have come with the goal of harming their world), but once a Junkion's friendship is gained, they go "coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs" and treat their allies as Friends For Life. As such, they are instinctively protective of humans, the source of television.

After having come in contact with the Autobots, the Junkions have become known as some of the best scrap metal merchants and traders around. The Junkions are all too happy to exchange energon for more scrap metal... even if they don't think to ask just where the scrap metal came from.
The Revenge was given to Galvatron by Unicron shortly after the former was reformatted from the broken body of Megatron. The Revenge ferried Galvatron back to Cybertron, where he seized the reins of Decepticon command from the treacherous Starscream. After the Decepticons attacked Autobot City on Earth for the second time, the Revenge pursued two fleeing Autobot shuttles commanded by Ultra Magnus and Kup, successfully forcing one shuttle to crash on a strange, twisted world and apparently destroying Magnus's shuttle.
In 2006, the Revenge scored another victory against the Autobots by blasting Rodimus Prime's shuttle and forcing the crew to make an emergency landing at the Autobot Mausoleum. Dark Awakening

In the year 2007, the Revenge was used during Galvatron's attack on Autobot City after the end of the short-lived truce between the two factions. After the key to the Plasma Energy Chamber was secured, the Decepticons made their getaway in the Revenge. The Rebirth, Part 1 After the devastating attack on Cybertron, the Revenge was used by Scourge, Cyclonus, and a squad of Decepticons to pursue some wayward Autobots to the planet Nebulos. While parked there, it was destroyed by the newly created Autobot Headmasters. The Rebirth, Part 2
Notes
*The ship is never given a name in the show, but Galvatron does refer to it as "the mothership" at the start of "The Rebirth, Part 1" episode. The name comes from the Complete Ark
* We do not actually see the ship created; it slips out of an opening near the equatorial section of Unicron.
* It is consistent with other Decepticon ships in the Generation 1 cartoon, in that it is completely purple and has a purple afterburner.
* Among its arsenal are torpedoes, multiple cannons (presumably lasers), and moleculon missiles.
* Although the Revenge is drawn with its normal model during the attack on Autobot City and its subsequent sojourn to Cybertron in the first part of The Rebirth, it looks entirely different once it lands on Nebulos. It's possible Cyclonus and friends used some other Decepticon ship to make the trip, but the Revenge is never seen again after this ship's destruction...
