I'm asking not only 'cause I'm anal about this stuff, but also 'cause it remains difficult to find your way around some of the convention- and club-based pages. -- Repowers 17:38, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
:Practically every story under a Timelines banner belongs to a different franchise/continuity from the next, so any "franchise" page should identify just where said Timelines events are supposed to be taking place. (This is going to be a problem with Descent Into Evil and, to a lesser extent, Razor's Edge, because those take place in a wherewhen we don't have have an actual name for.) I suspect a single page to handle all of the aspects of Timelines is probably sufficient, since many of the individual stories will presumably appear in their relevant franchises as well. -67.149.204.113 18:13, 28 December 2007 (UTC)<div id="wikia-credits"><br /><br /><small>From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki, a Wikia wiki.</small></div>

Menasor was meant to be the ultimate Decepticon weapon, and perhaps he would have been, if not for the fatal flaw in his design. His mind was designed to merge together the psyches of the five Stunticons who compose his form, but the great depth of loathing the four limb components feel towards Motormaster has created a primal psychological rift and left Menasor an unpredictable mass of conflicting chaotic impulses. Extremely powerful, mentally unstable, and prone to violent tantrums where he lashes out at anything in range. Menasor is not a weapon to point and fire, but a raging monster to turn lose on the battlefield and then get as far away from as possible.

In all continuities he is depicted as being the chief rival and equal of Superion. However, this makes more poetic than literal sense, as the real-life scale difference between their component vehicle parts would suggest a rather drastic disparity in actual stature.

Menasor is the combined form of all five Stunticons:

*Motormaster (leader)
*Drag Strip
:Voice Actor: Rege Cordic (US), Kōji Totani (Japan)

Menasor was formed for the first time to counter the new Autobot team, the Aerialbots, only to face their combined form of Superion. Menasor's sheer aggression drove the Autobot combiner back until he was trapped, only to have victory slip out of his grasp when a newly repaired Omega Supreme helped Superion defeat the Decepticon. The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 2

When the treacherous Starscream rampaged with his new army, Megatron requested the assistance of the Stunticons, only to be rebuffed by Motormaster. Later, Bruticus defeated Devastator, and Starscream's victory seemed imminent when the Stunticons finally turned up. At first, the rowdy bunch of cars did not care if Megatron was destroyed, but realized Starscream would not simply stop at eliminating his former leader. Quickly they formed Menasor, who dispatched Bruticus in one mighty punch. Starscream's Brigade

(Menasor is referred to as one of the Nine Great Demon Generals. This terminology, coupled with the presence of the previously deceased Black Zarak in their ranks and Violen Jygar's supernatural origins, could mean that Menasor died previously to Zone and was likewise brought back to life. However, this is unconfirmed, meaning that Violen Jygar may have simply recruited the still-living Menasor to be a General.)

When Violen Jygar siezed command of the Decepticons, his first act was to recruit 9 Demon-Generals from Decepticon history. Menasor was selected to be one of those Generals and was given the odd rank of Intelligence General as well as new power and weaponry to make him an even greater threat than before. Menasor was sent to the Planet Feminia to wreak havoc along with Abominus and Overlord. Together, the 3 Decepticon Demon-Generals destroyed the entire planet and nearly killed Victory Saber in the process.

Marvel Comics continuity
Dreamwave Comics continuity
At some point in Cybertron's recent history, the Stunticons were deemed psychotic and too dangerous to function in society, and as a result were placed into perpetual stasis lock inside of a prison facility. Later, in an attempt to create a diversion while he set his final plans in motion, Shockwave arranged for the release of the Stunticons. They formed into Menasor and ran amuck for awhile, until Ultra Magnus arrived and began insulting them. Unable to reconcile with this, the five Stunticons began to bicker with each other over whose fault it was that they were failing, temporarily stopping Menasor and allowing Ultra Magnus to ram the combiner in the chest, forcing him to separate into his component parts and disabling the Stunticons.
Fists and feet are then attached to the limbs. He is armed with Motormaster's sword and cyclone rifle. The Stuniticons were available both in individual packages, or in a complete box set available in numerous markets.

:According to this Menasor's bio, he is a single entity built from the bodies of the individual Stunticons and controlled by their psychotic, permanently unified minds. Whether this same backstory applies to the Classics or Universe toys is unknown.

Unreleased toys
* Redecos of all five Stunticons were planned for Generation 2 release in 1994, but were canceled with only a handful of test shots and production samples made. A small run of Breakdowns were released as the 1994 BotCon exclusive.

* Menasor was a planned release for the Universe line, as a redeco of the Thunder Clash mold (or, more accurately, the Machine Wars Optimus Prime retooling). It too was originally intended to be Motormaster at first, but trademark stymied that.

Trivia
* An alternate animation character sheet from the original cartoon exists for Menasor. It features all of the limbs in different orientations (the arms upside-down, the legs reversed) from the final model and the chest sports an Autobot symbol (!) suggesting, perhaps, that the Stunticon and Aerialbot toy factions may have originally been the other way around.
I know that someone from Hasbro (Whatshername, the exec who used to work for Power Rangers?) mentioned at some point that they estimate that X% of Transformers toys are bought by adult collectors- and I think it was 20. That should probably be in here.
I admit, I find the tone of this article unnecessarily harsh. I'd like to see it either moderated, or to have Fans and Fandom made two separate articles, with most of the negative aspects assigned to fandom. (Which I think is a fair division of blame- you still hear stories of hardcore transfans who run into the occasional hardcore solo-fan who has no clue about the 'net, conventions etc. The really nasty negative aspects of fans are almost all group behaviors that feed on themselves and doesn't exist in individuals if a fan is removed from fandom.)
I admit to being a little surprised at the negative reactions, as this is all stuff that's already written in various places on this wiki. Still, I recognize that if my only supporter is an anonymous string of numbers, I apparently just have a weird opinion on it. I just talked to Walky about it and he said the sarcastic "accomplishments"list could maybe be preserved if it were just a small part of a large, otherwise focusing-on-the-positive article. That sounds okay to me... I'd kind of like to keep at least some of the list in there, but, again, I seemingly have no perception of how vicious what I wrote is, so maybe it should be totally scrapped. Shawn's bio for the BotCon customizing class Overkill, in case anybody cares. Interrobang 07:07, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
:"Once upon a time, OVERKILL, served the Decepticon cause as a warrior and a spy. While he had a penchant for ranting and raving on the battlefield, and showing off his abilities more than actually using them, he coupld still ba a frighteningly effective warrior. If forced to focus his energies on the task at hand. Occasioanlly, a glitch in his transformation protocols caused him to remain at cassette size in his dinosaur mode. Eventually though, the problem became chronic and then terminal. He was stuck at the size of a rat, and his spark could not even be extracted as his body was too small to safely remove and transplant it.

:Overkill's leader also had a problem... a thorn in his side named Grimlock. Everywhere he went the dinobot was sure to follow. Defeat followed defeat, as he had no soldiers capable of matching Grimlock's ferocity or physical power. Except possibly for Overkill.

:The surgeons used detail scans of Grimlock to contruct a facsimile of his body. They inserted Overkill's cassette form into a special housing built into the chest cavity. Overkill could once again function as a member of the Decepticon military.

:Now more powerfull than ever before, Overkill still tends to fight his enemies beyond the point of defeat, but his leader is seriously considering ripping out his vocal processor... It might be the only way to shut him up."

Can you tell me more about this bio? I assume Shawn is the guy that ran the class... What's his last name? Did he give a copy of this bio to everyone? Was it printed out on a card like the exclusives' bios? I must know these things! --Steve-o 02:59, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
:Shawn Tessman is the semi-official FP customizer - he did the Nitrostreak and Razorclaw toys at '06, as well as the Quickslinger custom/article for the club. He also ran the '06 custom class with Rumble and Inferno. I very much doubt there is a card for the bio, but the Overkill (Tessman's) on the art tables had an 8x10" sheet of paper with his TFU-style profile/abilities/weaknesses typed up. -67.149.204.113 04:47, 4 July 2007 (UTC)<div id="wikia-credits"><br /><br /><small>From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki, a Wikia wiki.</small></div>

It's clearly different from every other appearance, but unless we're going to make a big deal about how purple cartoon Rumble is a mistake, there's no reason to make it sound like someone didn't know what his name was. "Brawl" is clearly the most parsimonious name for the page, but that doesn't change the fact that his name is Devastator in the movie. -67.149.204.113 04:44, 4 July 2007 (UTC)<div id="wikia-credits"><br /><br /><small>From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki, a Wikia wiki.</small></div>
