Throughout the Transformers multiverse are many Transformers who consider themselves family and refer to each other as such. The most common case is when two Transformers regard each other as siblings. Transformers even occasionally express familial relationships with non-Transformers.

Given that Transformers are not organic life and likely do not reproduce sexually, the origin, distinction, and exact meaning of many of these terms is frequently unclear.

Possible explanations
The Dreamwave More Than Meets The Eye guide provides a partial possible answer. According to the guide, when a spark naturally splits as it's being introduced to a protoform, it creates two robots who are "brothers", such as Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. When such a spark division is artificially induced, the less balanced and self-reliant pair created are referred to as "clones". (This definition of "brother" may or may not apply to RID Prime and Magnus, whose brotherhood was said to result from the special circumstance of having been created simultaneously by Alpha Trion).

However, the "Beast Era" widened the issue of reproduction with Rattrap referring to his "great-aunt" Arcee and in general the practice of Maximals and Predacons referring to the Autobots and Decepticons as their respective "ancestors", as well as themselves as being their "descendants", implying a direct genetic (for want of a better term) lineage. Various sources of debatable canonicity suggest that Optimus Primal is specifically descended from Optimus Prime, usually through the phrase "his ancestor Optimus Prime." In the absence of sexual reproduction, the use and meaning of these genealogical references is difficult to explain. One possible explanation might be a situation such as when Airazor is brought to life. Her spark and protoform are heavily damaged, and Cheetor allows some of his parts to be used as replacements while Rhinox guides the procedure. The Spark To compare to humans, this is something like assisting with childbirth and donating blood or organs. It seems unlikely that this happened enough to cause two large societies to consider themselves "descendants" of two other, ancient large societies.

Other family designations exist as well. Wheelie has "parents" who were lost in his crash on Quintessa, according to some background material. The Mini-Con Twirl very specifically calls Falcia her "mother" (which Falcia hates) and seems to treat Redline like a father, since the two's spark frame energies went into constructing her physical form. Linkage Part 7 In the Armada cartoon, Side Swipe refers to Hot Shot as his brother after Hot Shot saves his life, suggesting at least an understanding of the concept; on the other hand, the Armada cartoon is originally Japanese, and in Japan, 'brother' and 'sister' can be used as terms of affection or respect to an unrelated person. The Unicron Trilogy universe has also used the term "cousin" for certain Transformers on occasion. The Victory manga from the Japanese Generation 1 era features Decepticon wives and children. Even the live-action movie features an Optimus and Megatron who are brothers, and it is mentioned in the related Nintendo DS game that Megatron "took the spark" of their father.

IDW has Ratchet mentioning that his "batch proto-initiator told me there'd be moments like this...", when he was wondering if he should take the humans and investigate the bunker in Nebraska. Infiltration issue 3

A Super Mode is an auxiliary transformation some Cybertronians possess that is used sparingly, perhaps due to a higher energy consumption. This transformation often involves combining with unused portions of their alternate mode and bringing normally concealed weapons systems online. This form is often a variation on the robot mode, but there are many who possess vehicular or other Super Modes. In some continuities, it is referred to as a Battle Mode, Brute Mode, or Ultra Mode. A robot-mode super mode is, amazingly enough, often called a Super Robot.

Fiction
Generation 1
One might easily consider Ultra Magnus one of the earliest examples of a Super Mode, due to his toy combining with his trailer to form a Super Robot. However, due to the recognition factor and possible confusion with Optimus Prime, he was never depicted in his primary robot mode. This made his Super Mode his de facto normal mode.

This was later superseded by Optimus Prime's upgrade into a Powermaster, by which he acquired a canonical Super Mode. However, after the first couple of issues he was rarely if ever shown in his smaller robot mode.

The Classics Voyager Jetfire toy has a removable head and large booster-kibble in robot mode which could be considered a super mode (the actual reason was to allow a toy that resembles Jetfire in both his toy and cartoon appearances).

Masterforce
Ginrai, much like his American Powermaster counterpart, possessed both a robot mode and a Super Robot mode from combining with his trailer. As well, he could combine this powerful mode with the Godbomber drone to form a still larger and shinier "God Ginrai" mode. Though Godbomber had no counterpart in the English-language fiction, the rerelease of Powermaster Optimus Prime included the mold improvements featured in Ginrai as well as the Godbomber figure, renamed Apex Bomber, who formed Prime's "Apex Armor."

Victory
Star Saber was a double Brainmaster, starting as a small robot known as the Brain of Courage, combining into a larger robot named Saber, and finally forming an even larger robot known as Star Saber (natch). This robot could then be enhanced further by combining with Victory Leo to form Victory Saber.

Robots in Disguise
Optimus Prime initially had a smaller robot mode composed of just his vehicle mode cab, which could then combine with pieces of his "trailer" to form a larger, more powerful Battle Mode (this mode was called "Super Fire Convoy" in Car Robot). Later on, he and Ultra Magnus could combine to form the Super Robot Omega Prime ("God Fire Convoy" in Car Robot). Neither was the dominant personality in this fusion, much to Magnus's disappointment.

Also, the three Autobot Brothers Side Burn, Prowl, and X-Brawn each possess the ability to Power Up into a Supercharged form, after receiving a power boost from Ultra Magnus when the Matrix was being shared between him and Prime. In contrast to more typical super-modes which use unused altmode bits or hidden weapons, their super modes are examples of spontaneous recoloration.

Unicron Trilogy
Armada
Optimus Prime could combine with his trailer to form his Super Mode. He could also combine with Jetfire to become Jet Optimus. Both of these Super Modes could be further enhanced by mounting Overload on their shoulders. In the Japanese version Micron Legend, the names used are "Jet Convoy" and "Magna Jet Convoy", respectively.

Megatron could form a Super Mode by combining with the various components that make up Tidal Wave; Micron Legend uses "Burning <s>Gundam</s> Megatron".

Energon
Optimus Prime could combine with the four drone vehicles stored in his trailer, with each forming an arm or a leg Scramble City-style, leading to a wide variety of Super Robot modes. Prime could be further enhanced by combining with Wing Saber to form either his heavily armed "Fight Mode" or the more maneuverable "Flight Mode." Prime could also combine with Omega Supreme to form "Optimus Supreme." The names "Wing Convoy - Cannon Mode", "Wing Convoy - Jet Mode", and "Omega Convoy" are used in the Japanese version Super Link.

Also, every Autobot (that wasn't an Omnicon) possessed the ability to combine with the others in pairs to form "Powerlinx" versions of themselves, thanks to the Spark of Combination.

As well, both Landmine and Bulkhead possessed "Brute Modes," which were formed by combining with previously unused portions of their vehicle forms.

Cybertron
In Transformers Cybertron, Optimus Prime transforms into Super Mode. Most of his trailer goes onto his back while two leg pieces connect to the blue part of his legs and his mouthplate comes over his face. Optimus Prime goes into Super Mode when fighting in battle against anybody vaguely threatening.

Optimus Prime could also enter a number of Super Mode configurations by combining with other characters, such as "Savage Claw Mode" with Leobreaker and "Sonic Wing Mode" with Wing Saber. In the Japanese version Galaxy Force, "Liger Convoy" and "Sonic Convoy" respectively.

Conversely, Megatron could form the "Dark Claw Mode' with Nemesis Breaker, and similarly named "Liger Megatron" in Galaxy Force.

IDW G1 Comics
Nova Prime possessed a Super Robot mode formed by combining with his vehicle mode's trailer. This form also granted him wings and thus the power of flight.

Thunderwing revealed that not only were his robot and jet modes enhanced by the Pretender process, but he also possessed an extremely powerful tertiary Ultra Mode. However this form drew heavily from the reserves of Ore-13 that were powering him, causing the enhanced energon variant to go critical and burn him out from the inside. Damaging him beyond repair. Or not. Stormbringer (comics)
Live action continuity
After being critically injured by Scorponok, Jetfire offered his parts to Optimus Prime, who was still recovering after being resurrected and needed assistance in fighting the Fallen. Jetfire then ripped out his spark core and died. Ratchet then instructed Jolt to transplant the afterburners and weapons onto Optimus Prime's structure. Once completed, Optimus Prime was left with wings, an arm-mounted missile launcher, and an arm-mounted machine gun. Flying off, Optimus broke through the debris The Fallen had raised to protect the solar harvester and destroyed the machine, then attacked the Fallen. Megatron came to the aid of his master, but Optimus broke of his arm, shooting off about a third of Megatron's head and finally used the afterburners to send Megatron flying through some ruins. The Fallen was able to tear off one of Prime's thrusters and strike him with it, but Optimus Prime ultimately triumphed and ripped out the Fallen's spark, forcing Megatron and Starscream to retreat. Following this, Optimus detached Jetfire's donated parts. Revenge of the Fallen (film)
Like much of the population, he is a Micromaster. Riker commands no military forces of his own, and must liaise with the Autobot commander of his sector, God Ginrai (and later Greatshot) for concerns.

Riker basically embodies every quality of politicians you never see in sci-fi: helpful, pragmatic, humble, concerned for his people, and non-obtrusive. He does his job quietly and well, unimpeded by ego or bureaucratic in-fighting. Riker is, objectively, awesome at what he does, though perhaps a bit too fond of public address systems.

The Autobot Clipper is an operator for his office, handling various aspects of administrating a planetary government.
When Hellbat hired Decepticon mercenaries Blue Bacchus and Black Shadow to raid planet Micro's energy sources, Governor Riker asked for help, first from God Ginrai (under whose military jurisdiction Micro nominally fell,) then from Star Saber when Ginrai's forces proved too stressed to come to their aid. Riker met the Autobot leader personally, briefing him on the problem and accompanying him on a tour of the destruction as they discussed eyewitness accounts and possible motives behind the attacks.

Riker arranged for his operator Clipper to host the Autobot party while he oversaw a late-night command post watching for Decepticon activity. Planet Micro - The Mysterious Warrior

Some time later, Riker again conferenced with Star Saber, who was searching for the Breastforce, whom he believed to be still on Micro. Riker was pensive in light of the recent destruction of the Planet Micro Satellite Penitentiary that some misfortune would again befall his planet. When fighting again broke out in the mountainous regions outside the main city, Riker again alerted Star Saber to the details using the public address system. {{storylink|Unite! ==Notes==
* It is uncertain just what the katakana in Riker's name is supposed to represent. There are about a billion different things "Raikuru" could be, so we opted to go with the spelling as used in the Ark II character model book. This volume chose to go with the name due to the association with the character from Star Trek: The Next Generation, although it's worth noting that the standard set of katakana used to represent Riker would be ライカー, raikā. Another official spelling would be a straight reading of the katakana à la the Metrodome releases of the Victory series.

Megatron's orbit disruptor cannon is, as you might imagine, a cannon which disrupts orbits. Any affected object will immediately cease orbiting its parent object and fly off into space. Its size means that the combiner Bruticus is required to operate it, although it also has, for reasons unknown, a control panel at human height. And a large button marked "OVER LOAD".
#Flood one canyon.
#???
#PROFIT!

Unfortunately, before Megatron could put his plan into effect, there was a slight hitch in the form of the loss of Bruticus. After the combiner's defeat at the hands of Defensor, Swindle had sold off most of the rest of his team as parts. There was a short delay while Swindle was sent to recover the parts, with a bomb in his head as an incentive.

Once Bruticus was reassembled, Megatron decided to test-fire the orbit disruptor on Autobot Headquarters. The cannon was set up outside Autobot HQ, though more technical difficulties with Bruticus meant that the Decepticons were forced to fight the Autobots without it. During the battle, a human-controlled robot took control of the orbit disruptor cannon, turning it on the Decepticons before hitting the cannon's overload button. That pretty much spelled the end of Megatron's plan. B.O.T. (episode)
Though quite fragile, and technologically backwards, they have at times aided the Autobots and thwarted the Decepticons once the Transformers' age-old war spilled onto the humans' primitive homeworld.

They're such undependable creatures. Inferior lifeforms.

Overview
Physiology
Humans are suspiciously familiar creatures. Though they are made of soft, organic materials, they share remarkable physical similarities with Transformers as a species. Most Transformers and humans walk upright on two long legs attached to a tall body, with two limbs attached at the shoulders. At the shoulders is the head, just like a Transformer's, which sports two eyes in the center at equal distance from the olfactory sensor array, above a mouth which opens for speaking and for ingesting energy. Aside from energy, they also ingest raw materials that they use in their self repair systems. This would seem to be a sensible system, as these materials can be stored anywhere in their bodies, to be used later when and if necessary. Like Transformers, they are social creatures, who trade and barter wares and develop emotional attachments to peers. Eerily enough, they possess an emotional spectrum nearly identical to that of Transformers as well, ranging from laughter, joy, and satisfaction to depression, anger, and cruelty. It is not uncommon to find Transformers who have even developed strong spiritual bonds with individual creatures. This is disgusting.

Humans are physically composed of several specialized units or systems called organs. The major organs are internalized, but extremely frail. Damage is hard to repair, and as they have yet to develop a method of replicating these organs, replacement usually requires harvesting from compatible humans. Major systems include the brain (central processing unit, data storage), the heart (primary engine core), and the lungs (fuel tank). Over sixty percent of their makeup is water, though they are not primarily aquatic in nature. Humans run on two types of fuel: gaseous oxygen, which is absorbed from their surroundings, and liquid fuel they call blood, created from organic matter and internally refined. Blood and oxygen are required by every organ in their body and an elaborate transport system is required to transport them throughout. Though blood is in some sense self-replicating, a tremendous loss of the liquid will result in permanent deactivation. Oxygen is equally required, and if deprived of oxygen for long enough, they run the risk of suffering major processor damage or permanent deactivation.

A human's organic tissue will begin failing just one quarter into his or her lifespan, and will spend the next three quarters growing ever less efficient until the human's lifeforce can no longer sustain itself. As a result, humans are saddeningly short-lived creatures. (It is not known how they find the time to accomplish anything, though as a side effect it has made their wars mercifully short.) Interestingly, humans do not build new members of their race. To the contrary, humans are what they have deemed sexually dimorphic, categorized into sexes, wherein members of one subvariant of their species, classified as male, implants structural data, which they call "DNA", in the other, classified as female. This process grows a new human (or occasionally more than one, although this is rare) inside the female like a parasite until it emerges roughly three quarters of an Earth year later. (If it exits the female too early, the new human risks death.) The new human is very fragile and stupid; it will take years to acclimate itself to their society. Even a young human who stayed inside its female for the appropriate length of time is not capable of operating self-sufficiently without extensive training. Despite this limited intelligence and understanding (or perhaps as a result of it), younger humans are often among the first to form bonds with friendly Transformers.

Initiating the growth of a new human apparently involves much rubbing, and also kissing. Though the required interactions have been hinted at in popular media, humans are reticent to discussing the physical mechanism, and several attempts at accumulating further data were met with what they term as "awkward silence". This is quite confusing, as humans generally give the impression that they supremely enjoy it, and have refused all suggestions that they learn the technology to build their own from spare parts.

Technology
Although Earth is rich with natural resources, Human technology is surprisingly primitive. They had only begun to experiment with outer atmosphere travel at the time the Great War began on Earth, and they have limited communication methods. Although their locomotive devices, called "cars", are suitable for Transformation, they are quite crude, potentially dangerous, and incredibly energy inefficient. Despite this, the type of car is often seen as a status symbol among humans; apparently the larger the car, the more status achieved. Some humans claim that those with large cars are "compensating" for some other sort of size deficiency—unsurprising, considering how tiny humans are compared to the average Transformer.

Human military technology is equally unimpressive. They have yet to develop any form of workable energy weapons, and no shield technology either. Their primary weapons are devices called "guns", which shoot small, metallic projectiles called "bullets" using a crude explosive called "gunpowder" (now superseded by a similar compound called "Cordite"). These are more than capable of killing other humans, but they are extremely inefficient when fending off any attacking Decepticons. Their warhead weapons are slightly more efficient, though extremely primitive when compared to Autobot photon and plasma weapons.

In some universes humans have weaponry that is actually rather effective against a Transformer. In one universe the humans used explosive projectiles called "Sabot rounds" that employ an incredibly high heat to burn through Decepticon armour and then detonate in the more vulnerable innards. A sufficient volley of these in the right places can bring down a fairly large Decepticon almost as effectively as our own cannons. The humans combine these with one advantage of their small size: hiding, taking cover in buildings or behind other obstacles then popping up to fire a few rounds before hiding and relocating before firing again.

Society
Like on Cybertron before the war, humans make up the fabric of their local (or global) economies. Some work as repairmen, some are drillers in search of un-processed lubricants, others are retrievers of rare mineral lattices and metals, a few accomplish all of these simultaneously. The humans strangely use the majority of the lubricant they extract as a highly inefficient source of energy, and adorn themselves with the harvested minerals and metals at exorbitant prices. Apparently the humans reason that because these objects are rare, they are incredibly beautiful, and therefore worth vastly more resources than were spent extracting and refining them. Instead of trading valuable energy directly for goods and services, a small piece of lumbered and processed planetgrowth is exchanged. This planetgrowth represents energy abstractly, and its worth is assumed on good faith, though it is usually backed up by various metals and crystals of economic value.

A number of unsavory humans subvert this established system to illegally or immorally obtain these planetgrowths. Many of these humans were involved in unusual accidents which empowered the individual specimen to levels above ordinary humans, while others are tempted by their relatively high intelligence levels or capacity for selfish acts. Encounters with these subversive humans happen at an alarming rate, whether they be failed entertainers who claim to own all Transformers, mad scientists, or gifted archers who dress in homage to Earth folklore. By sheer numbers, these humans must represent half of the known population.

Politically, humans are divided among various nation-states which seem to be divided primarily among ethnic, linguistic, and religious differences. On occasion, these nation-states will engage in conflict over territory and resources, but as previously stated, their wars are usually quite short. Most humans seem to prefer some sort of democracy where they elect individuals to govern and legislate their nation-states, although a number of them choose their leaders due to genetic inheritance and familial succession; others still hold power through a Decepticon-style dictatorship, though the mental stability of a few have been questioned. At times, the Decepticons have taken advantage of Earth's factional tendencies to manipulate them to their advantage, but the Autobots have usually managed to expose the Decepticon influence before a full scale military conflict occurs.

Humans greatly enjoy sound patterns, termed "music". The Autobots Jazz and Blaster have taken a particular interest in this music, though the chosen volume has overwhelmed most other Autobots, including the mighty Optimus Prime from time to time. Humans have often shown an involuntary need to move about when music is broadcast, and even the aforementioned Autobots have also shown a desire to move about. Presumably, a fear of blowback prevented the Autobots from utilizing human music as a weapon against the Decepticons.

Humans are also athletic creatures, engaging in a variety of athletic events that are designed to test their strength, stamina, and speed. While none of them could hold their own against even the weakest Transformer, many human sports have been eagerly adopted by Transformers. The Autobot Eject is particularly fond of human athletics, and his vocabulary is littered with the human sports quotes.

Religion
Despite their lack of the multi-dimensional transwarp Spark, a great number of humans believe in an analogous concept, the intangible soul. This has been confirmed to be the equivalent of a Transformer's personality program in an odd experiment, when the human Spike Witwicky's personality was uploaded to an empty Transformer body cobbled together from spare parts. The human's consciousness was not suitable for digitization, and quickly deteriorated toward psychosis.

Many also believe in supernatural beings, either singular or plural, who have a direct but intangible stake in their lives. Once a week the more religious humans will gather together and sing songs at the ceiling, as the presumed direction of these beings is away from the gravity well of their planet. Unlike the historical Covenant of Primus, their holy books are not incorruptible encrypted public-key datatracks. Instead, they frequently re-encode the writings of multiple authors in an inefficient and apparently lossy process. Then they fight about which "translation" is correct instead of simply downloading the original encoding algorithm.

Despite having no concrete evidence these beings exist, and despite the records of the Beast Wars affirming their evolution from bipedal primates, many humans continue to assume these premises are literally true. This seems odd, as no credible sources have substantiated that their alleged creator has ever transformed out of their world into a giant humanoid and fought its eternal enemy before their eyes.

Many human traditions are puzzling.

Breeding grounds
The most familiar breed of humans are native to the planet Earth, though they can be found practically anywhere in the galaxy. For example, Nebulos is such a place, though some reports claim these humans are of green colour rather than various shades of beige. Femax is populated by humans of Transformer size. Pz-Zazz is also home to Transformer-sized humans, but it is not known whether they are indigenous to that world. It is possible that the tiny version of humans found on Earth is the exception, rather than the rule.

Trivia
* For reasons unknown, a substantial number of human Transformers fans appear to have a very drastic, dismissive position when it comes to the inclusion of representatives of their species in Transformers fiction, some even going as far as demanding that Transformers fiction should be devoid of any flesh creatures whatsoever, unless being depicted as helpless victims/casualties of Decepticon attacks.

* Perhaps most bizarrely, humans can hear the trans-sonic signal known as the Omega Frequency, emitted by the Omega Lock and other sources of Primus' power, while Transformers cannot.

* Humans reproduce by shooting DNA into each other. I find that offensive!

* According to Scorponok, a certain percentage of human physiology is composed of cowardice. This proportion increases directly according to the size of the individual. Pretender to the Throne!

External links
* Humans like to write about themselves. This, too, erupts into war.

Fiction
Revenge of the Fallen film
Nineteen thousand years ago, the Primes and their warriors arrived on Earth as part of their attempts at harvesting the Sun for energon. However, they learned it was already inhabited by a small race of primitive tribal hunters and thus decided not to continue with the task. Despite their decision, one of their number later known as The Fallen rebelled against his brothers and sought to activate the device and steal the systems sun. This led to a terrible conflict where Transformer fought Transformer and The Fallen fought against the Primes. Before The Fallen could use the Matrix of Leadership to activate the device, it was stolen by his six brothers. Unable to defeat The Fallen in battle, they decided to sacrifice themselves to hide it, and used their own bodies to form a tomb, the location of which was hidden from all Cybertronians, the Primes fading into history, their only legacy being their descendants, who formed the Dynasty of Primes. At some point in the next few thousand years, the Seekers were sent to find the tomb by The Fallen, but they were unable to locate the Tomb, only learning a single clue: "When dawn alights the dagger's tip, three kings will reveal the doorway". When they failed, he abandoned them and they eventually went into stasis from a lack of energon.

After the All Spark was destroyed a fragment of it was left in the hands of Sam Witwicky which led to him seeing Cyberglyphics in his mind which were actually coordinates leading to the Tomb of the Primes. Led to an ancient Egyptian temple, they appeared to have reached a dead end until the accidental destruction of the wall by the Twins Mudflap and Skids led to the discovery of the Tomb. The Matrix however appeared to have turned to dust after all that time. It was revealed the Primes sparks had survived in some form, communicating with a dead Sam and telling him the Matrix must be earned. With that, they awarded him its power, and told him to fulfil his destiny: to resurrect Optimus Prime. Revenge of the Fallen (film)

67.235.195.189: /* Playstation 2 Game */ Yes you can tell the difference between minicons and datacons. I used to play that game all the time.

In order to transport the vast numbers of Mini-Cons safely inside the Exodus during its journey through transwarp space, most Mini-Cons were converted into energy and stored inside glowing green pentagonal capacitors that bear the Mini-Cons' sigil.

These storage panels are generally very sturdy, able to survive extreme conditions, including the heat of atmospheric re-entry. Mini-Con panels have been found at the bottom of the ocean, buried in tons of solid rock, in arctic ice fields, even on Earth's Moon, without even a hint of damage, the Mini-Cons within as healthy as the day they first entered the panels. While it takes a lot to damage a Mini-Con panel, it can be done.

Freeing a Mini-Con from its panel is not always easy. Sometimes all it takes is the will of the one who holds the panel. In some cases, such as that of the Mini-Cons who composed the Star Saber, all three Mini-Cons needed to be activated at once. And sometimes, the panels simply release the Mini-Con within on its own without a definite outside influence.

In some respects, the panels had something of a "reset" program attached to them. When a Mini-Con was awakened from their panel, their built-in "servility program" kicked in, forming a mental bond to the being that released them from the panel, regardless of their mental state and programming directives before they entered the panel. Mini-Cons awakened by other Mini-Cons did not seem to form any special bond, however. Since the activation of the Master Key and the elimination of the servility program and other directives in the Mini-Cons' core program, this "reset" feature of the panels was eliminated as well, and any Mini-Cons who still rest inside the panels will awaken as truly free machines.

"Unicron" Panels
Mini-Cons that have been captured and reformatted by Fixer Bugs are stored in a different style of storage panel, notable for its more sinister shape and ominous glowing-red Mini-Con sigil. Once released from these panels, the Mini-Cons have lost their souls (cutting them off from the Linkage forever), and are ultimately little more than slaves to the will of Unicron.

These panels are created from the same energy/matter as the Fixer Bug itself; once the Bug attaches to its victim, it absorbs the Mini-Con as energy, then converts its own mass into the shape of the storage panel.

Playstation 2 Game
In the Armada video game, Mini-Con storage panels retain their same basic pentagonal shape. However, when activated, they project a large paneled-sphere "container" above them, which dissipates as the top of the panel proper opens to reveal the Mini-Con within. It is unknown if the panel itself dissipates, or if it can be used again to store another Mini-Con.

The glow from a storage panel can be seen from great distances, but is difficult to be distinguished from the glow of a Data-Con disc. The only difference between these glows is that the Mini-Con sotrage panels have a halo of light in addition to its normal glow.
