==Synopsis==
Eager to aid the [[Autobot]] war effort but constantly overlooked due to his stature, Wheelie is ecstatic when he is finally asked to help with the search for habitable worlds. Shortly after leaving, though, his ship hits a radiation belt that shorts out his systems, and he is forced to make a crash-landing on the world of [[LV-117]], a planet which turns out to be populated with giant monsters. Wheelie does what he can to survive and fends off the denizens. After attempting to use the [[universal greeting]] on a [[chaosteros]], Wheelie loses one of his arms. He subsequently retrieves it from the beast's... '''dung''' ...but thereafter his arm does not properly transform, causing him excruciating pain whenever he enters vehicle mode.

Eventually, he sights another ship crashing to the surface. When he tracks it down, he finds [[Decepticon]]s Spectro and Spyglass preparing to torture an alien they have captured. Wheelie frees him, and sneaks aboard the ship amidst the confusion. Unfortunately, the crash has damaged the ship beyond repair, dashing his plans to use it to escape. Suddenly remembering the third member of Spectro and Spyglass's trio, Wheelie turns around to find Viewfinder, impaled in his command chair by a large piece of the shattered canopy. Pausing to wonder whether Viewfinder or he himself was the lucky one, he goes off in search of the alien he set free, eventually finding and befriending him.

The alien, named Varta, speaks entirely (through a universal translator chip) in rhyme and reveals that he has a spaceworthy ship. The only thing it lacks as a power source, and Wheelie happily volunteers the [[Energon (G1)|energon]] converter he's been lugging around. They work together for a time to patch up the ship and get it ready to fly, with Wheelie adopting Varta's strange, rhyming speech in the process. As they prepare to launch the ship, they are ambushed by Spectro and Spyglass. The Decepticons shoot Varta in the back and threaten to finish him off if Wheelie doesn't climb out of the ship and let them have it. Though he initially considers taking off and leaving Varta, he realizes that if he does so, he would be turning his back on what it means to be an Autobot. He solemnly descends the ladder while the pair absconds in the rocket, congratulating themselves on their bluff—they had used the last charge in their laser to stun Varta. Varta is surprised that Wheelie would give up his freedom for his sake, but Wheelie says it really all came down to faction... that, and he removed the safety catch from the energon converter used to power the ship, causing it to explode in midair.

A year later, Varta and Wheelie have salvaged what they could from the wreckage of both their ship and the Decepticon cruiser and made a new home for themselves. No longer depressed, Wheelie feels renewed hope for the future and gazes up at the massive Autobot emblem adorning the top of their makeshift home. Meanwhile, in the nearby ruins of an ancient temple, a wall painting of a [[Quintesson]] begins to crack, the eyes glowing through the rock...

Throughout the various Transformers canon, there have been several instances of Transformers with humanistic traits and having very human actions that possibly conflict with their status as mechanical robots. Many of these instances can be dismissed as stylistic choices by the artists or as gags not to be taken seriously.

* In [[Prime Time!|issue twelve]] of the original [[The Transformers (Marvel Comics)|''Generation 1'' comic]], [[Rumble (G1)|Rumble]] is seen leaking lubricant from his head during a stressful confrontation with [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] (as Shockwave points out), in a manner resembling sweating.
* Numerous times in the Marvel UK comic, [[Kup (G1)|Kup]] can be seen "sweating".

* In an Energon episode, [[Jetfire (Armada)|Jetfire]] instructs [[Ironhide (Energon)|Ironhide]] that they have to synchronize their breathing before they can [[Powerlinx|powerlink]].
* At the climax of ''[[The Transformers: The Movie]]'', [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]] tries to strangle [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]], complete with sounds of Hot Rod gagging and struggling to breathe. It's possibile that Galvatron was trying to compress Hot Rod's neck until the Autobot's head popped off, but that isn't likely.

* In the [[The Transformers (cartoon)|G1 cartoon]] episode "[[Microbots]]", the [[Decepticons]] are noticeably behaving in an intoxicated fashion after consuming high-grade [[Energon (G1)|energon]]. [[Powerglide (G1)|Powerglide]] referred to this as "over-energizing".
* In the UK comic, the [[Wrecker|Wreckers]] frequent a "bar" on Cybertron called [[Maccadam's Old Oil House]], where they consume high-grade energon, presumably for the purposes of getting intoxicated. * [[Alpha Trion (G1)|Alpha Trion]], [[Scourge (G1)|Scourge]], [[Unicron]], and [[Wreck-Gar (G1)|Wreck-Gar]] all sport "facial hair" in the G1 cartoon. In addition to that, ''Energon''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s [[Bulkhead (Energon)|Bulkhead]] and ''Animated''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s [[Scrapper (Animated)|Scrapper]], [[Mixmaster (Animated)|Mixmaster]] and [[Wreck-Gar (Animated)|the other Wreck-Gar]] all sport facial hair. (The last of these was modeled after [["Weird Al" Yankovic|his voice actor's]] own, prior to his appearance's overhaul.)

===Obesity===
Although Transformers come in all shapes and sizes anyway, some characters have particularly round appearances that suggest something equivalent to human obesity.

* [[Bulkhead (Animated)|Bulkhead]] is virtually as wide as he is tall and is depicted as extremely round, with very short, stubby legs. It gives him more than a passing resemblance to a heavily obese person, or at best one of those huge, flabby, off-season wrestlers.
* Much the same could be said of [[Omega Supreme (G1)|Omega Supreme]]. Being big-chassied is no excuse to let yourself go.
* [[Ratchet (Animated)|''Animated'' Ratchet]] has a prominent gut that resembles a human paunch. Although ordinarily this might be considered merely a feature of his transformation scheme (ala [[Trailbreaker (G1)|Trailbreaker]]), he is specifically designed to be a crotchety "old man" character, and in flashback sequences to his younger days in the Great War, he notably ''lacks'' said paunch.
* [[Gnaw]]. Well, all the [[Sharkticon (G1)|Sharkticons]], really, but seriously. It's kind of comically appropriate that the robots which do absolutely nothing but hang out and eat stuff all day are so roly poly.

There are several instances of female transformers whose bodies are designed with the explicit similarity to stereotypical human females. While this generally includes a more slender build (particularly a narrow waist) it also sometimes includes other characteristics which suggest a degree of gender dimorphism similar to organic races, although the purpose of this is unclear.

Note however that there are [[Strika (BM)|certainly]] some [[Glyph|exceptions]] to [[Road Rage|this]].

Some female Transformers, such as [[Arcee (G1)|Arcee]] and [[Elita One]] (not to mention the ''other'' [[Arcee (Animated)|Arcee]] and [[Blackarachnia (Animated)|Elita-1]]) have a protruding chest area that bears no apparent relation to their altmode [[kibble]], which bears some vague resemblance to clothed human breasts, or a "monoboob" if you will. Some females even have two separate and even more distinctly rounded breast-like protuberances, particularly in their fictional depictions. [[Blackarachnia (BW)|Blackarachnia]], [[Antagony]] and [[Beta]] all fall into this category. One, [[Thunderblast (Decepticon)| Thunderblast]], even has visible nipples. Another common feature to denote gender in some female Transfomers (mostly only in the fiction) will be possessing distinctly fuller, plumper lips than is standard, such as Blackarachnia in ''Beast Wars''. Sometimes, however, they will additionally have red or otherwise different/darker colouration to their lips, with an evident similarity to human lipstick. Such paint-mouthed hussybots include Blackarachnia in ''Beast Machines'', her [[Blackarachnia (Animated)|''Animated'' cousin]], and most [[Female Autobots|G1 Female Autobots]].

He loves to show off by splitting hex nuts a mile and a half away, and he has an endless variety of special munitions to load in his prized main gun: cryogenic, acid, thermal, and sonic. His most favorite, however, are the simple explosive shells that go off with a huge explosion, KABOOM!

His gun...how Warpath loves his gun. Prominent and useful in both modes, she has saved his life countless times, and she gets only the best in return. How he loves to line her sights up precisely on a barely visible target, and KAZOWY! blow it to shrapnel with a single well-placed shell. A dud annoys him; a miss is near-fatal embarassment. A mere scratch to his gun's barrel keeps him up, late into the night, polishing it away. When on occasion his gun is damaged seriously enough to impair her function, he is practically inconsolable for weeks.

Warpath (ZING!) had a habit of (BLAM!) interjecting his speech with (WHAMMO!) onomatopoeia. Whether this was a programming feature or personal choice is unknown. His fellow Autobots seemed to tolerate it.

Warpath appeared with no explanation for his arrival when [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] created a remote-controlled duplicate of [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] to lead the Autobots to their doom. On one occasion, Warpath and [[Hoist (G1)|Hoist]] were chasing a small group of Decepticons led by Starscream, and ended up passing through the [[Dragon Mound]] and into 542 AD. The Autobots and Decepticons took opposite sides with a pair of warring knights, and Warpath allowed the [[Sir Aetheling the Red|Red Knight]] to ride him in joust against [[Sir Wigend du Blackthorne]]'s champions, [[Rumble (G1)|Rumble]] and [[Ramjet (G1)|Ramjet]]. They successfully rammed Ramjet, caving in his nosecone and forcing the Decepticons to fall back on the ol' "grab a hostage and run" trick, taking the Red Knight's daughter [[Nimue]] captive. Warpath led the charge against Blackthorne's castle and, with their siege tower destroyed by some of Starscream's gunpowder barrels, he and Hoist served as makeshift ladders for their allies to breach the castle walls. Accompanying [[Perceptor (G1)|Perceptor]] and [[Beachcomber (G1)|Beachcomber]] on a geology expedition, Warpath managed to get in some (ZOW!) action when Blitzwing and the [[Conehead]]s staged a surprise attack. He and Blitzwing engaged in Tank Wars again, but the fighting got so furious they buried each other in sand for awhile. It was anyone's game until [[Thrust (G1)|Thrust]] found a pool of [[electrum]] and became invincible. Even a hot and cold mix of [[Powerglide]]'s thermal beam and Warpath's cryo-shells couldn't break the Decepticon warrior. When the [[Morphobot]]s took over a valley on Earth, Warpath and [[Ironhide (G1)|Ironhide]] did their best to blast through using a variety of shells and liquid, but it took (POW!) Late in 1985, the Autobots plotted to capture the [[Stunticon]]s to discover the reason behind their high-profile thefts. [[Tracks]] and Warpath were assigned to take down [[Drag Strip]] and [[Dead End (G1)|Dead End]] on a beach. Warpath quickly disabled Drag Strip with a few well-placed explosive shells, while Tracks blinded Dead End with his black beam gun. Unable to see, Dead End drove right into Warpath, who (BAM!) crushed the Decepticon with a single punch that went straight through his roof. {{storylink|Masquerade}}

In the year 2006, Warpath watched a broadcast of the first [[Galactic Olympics]]. As the Decepticons made their move on Earth, Warpath and [[Pipes]] commanded the team defending the Ark. The Autobots hid in a ravine and as [[Trypticon (G1)|Trypticon]] passed overhead, Warpath gave orders to fire, significantly damaging the Decepticon's rolling battle station mode. However, Trypticon quickly recovered and transformed into his massive dinosaur mode, forcing the Autobot Minicars to regroup and counter attack. Warpath fired a shell which Trypticon merely swatted away, then when the Autobot protested that he didn't (ZEEM!) believe what was happening, he was kicked for his troubles. Warpath ordered [[Teletraan I (G1)|Teletraan I]] to activate the volcano's defensive cannons as Trypticon neared the Ark, but this had little effect on the Decepticon, who then destroyed the volcano. {{storylink|Five Faces of Darkness, Part 5}}

As exuberent as ever, Warpath couldn't wait to test his tank mode against Blitzwing's, ignoring [[Jazz (G1)|Jazz]]'s cries to stop. Unfortunately for Warpath, he neglected to realize that Blitzwing was several times his size, ultimately being run over by the Decepticon. Warpath was a member of [[Perceptor (G1)|Perceptor]]'s resistance cell on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] during the reign of [[Straxus (G1)|Straxus]]. Like most of his comrades, he found more inspiration in [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]]'s bravado than the calculated caution of Perceptor. When their untrustworthy scout, [[Scrounge]] went missing, Warpath and his peers fell in line with Blaster's plan to find and rescue him, overruling Perceptor. After much searching, all but Blaster had given up on Scrounge, so Warpath and the others went home. Blaster persisted, however, and at the expense of Scrounge's life, retrieved information that he had smuggled out of [[Darkmount]]. When Blaster returned, this act gave Perceptor's small group of Autobots the first good news they had heard in eons, for Scrounge had handed them evidence that [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] lived. {{storylink|The Smelting Pool!}}

Further reconnaissance revealed startling news — the Decepticons were building a [[Space Bridge]]! As this would spell certain doom for both Cybertron and [[Earth]], a desperate raid on Straxus's [[Darkmount]] fortress was launched. Warpath was in charge of setting the explosives which brought down the massive tower. This attack was mostly successful, as it leveled Darkmount and ended in Straxus's destruction, but Warpath and the rest of his Autobot comrades had to retreat to Earth over the Space Bridge as it self-destructed. However, the humans, belonging to the anti-robot attack team, [[RAAT]], captured Warpath and the others with the help of [[Circuit Breaker]]. Later, after Prime's death, the Ark was put under assault by a [[Sonic-scrambler mine|sonic scrambler missile]] fired by the Decepticon assault base known as [[Trypticon (G1)|Trypticon]]. Warpath destroyed this first missile, and the Autobots went hunting for their attacker. Trypticon would have proven to be too much for them, though, without the timely intervention of [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] and the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]]. Grimlock's leadership turned out to be very unpopular, especially when he captured a group of [[Spacehikers|Earth children]] and threatened to execute them if Blaster didn't turn himself in for treason. Warpath was first seen among Cybertron's population, observing anti-Autobot propaganda being pumped through the cortex by [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] to discredit Optimus Prime and his returning crew. {{storylink|Cold War}} Warpath, like most Autobots, recognized it as a load of BLAM! POW! ZOOM! and joined [[Tracks]], [[Broadside (G1)|Broadside]] and several other Mini-Vehicles in rising up along with the other Autobot insurgency cells to fight back against Shockwave's rule. {{storylink|Countdown to Extinction (comic issue)|Countdown to Extinction}}

As part of the deal, Starscream told them where he had stashed several Autobots his brigade had captured earlier, and Warpath and [[Bumper (G1)|Bumper]] were sent out to retrieve them. On the salvage run, however, the pair ran into [[Earth Defense Command]] agents who made a forceful BOOM! suggestion that the Autobots accompany them back to their base. {{storylink|The Omega Effect}}

The EDC were looking to conscript some Autobots to help them deal with an [[Insecticon (G1)|Insecticon]] problem, and [[Jazz (G1)|Jazz]] agreed to help after being reactivated. The monotony was suddenly broken without warning when [[Galvatron (G1)|a mysterious, powerful transformer]], arrived on Cybertron to claim Thunderwing for [[Nova Prime|his master]].
