'''Slog''' is one of the most refined and sophisticated Decepticons around. He was originally recruited to produce great works of art praising the glory and recording the rise of the great [[Decepticon Empire]]. Soon his masters discovered that he worked just as well in the battlefield as in a studio and like [[Buzzsaw (G1)|Buzzsaw]] before him, Slog became an artist of the warzone, carving Autobots into abstract modern art "masterpieces."

Slog might strike one as a grotesque monster given his artwork, but infact he really fights only when he must to stay alive and tries to make each fallen foe a work of art to honor their memory. Not a warrior at heart, Slog likes the wild abandon of creating destructive art from non-living material but is troubled by the lives lost in the Autobot/Decepticon conflict. It was this troubled spirit that lead to the founding of the [[Slogism]] movement. The utilization of his work by the Autobots and his general doubts about the cause have put him on the outs with his superiors.

Like [[Windcharger (G1)|Windcharger]] before him, Slog weilds a powerful magnetic ability that he can use to manipulate and tear other robots apart.

He can combine with his fellow [[Monster Pretender]]s to form [[Monstructor]].

First Lieutenant '''Jazz''' is one happy-go-lucky Autobot. Good-natured and always able to take things in his stride, he provides a decent contrast to the more serious demeanour of Ironhide or Prime himself. He's also a talker, something Ironhide and Prime like to tease him about. He might be the smallest Autobot but he's by no means a coward. His only real complaint is that he gets stuck fighting the small ones.

Included is a blaster weapon that elongates into a sniper rifle, which may also be clipped directly onto his rear spoiler when in vehicle mode. In robot mode, the section featuring this same rear spoiler may be kept folded onto his back or worn on either shoulder as a shield. An interesting undocumented feature is a hinge joint located on the bottom of the rifle can attach to the ''shield's'' hinge joint, creating three choice weapon configurations: ''a)'' a mounted long range sniper rifle, ''b)'' an ambidextrous shoulder-mounted canon, or ''c)'' a short range blaster with built-in shield somewhat akin to what has been seen in Jazz's concept art and in the movie itself.

A rather glaring side-effect of this transformation and a desire to mimic the hood chest of the larger toy is the addition of a second front bumper on the roof of his alt-mode. If this means Jazz also includes a second engine to go with this front bumper or an attempt at compensation for a case of [[Barricade (Movie)|police bar envy]] is unknown.

'''Don Allan Figueroa''' is an American artist and a toy designer. Originally, he was the writer and artist of the fancomic series "Macromasters," which featured his original designs, of which he would make working scratch-built toys. When [[Dreamwave]] got the Transformers comic book license, Figueroa was signed on first to do packaging art for Armada and subsequently to pencil the War Within miniseries. For the latter, Figueroa designed a pre-Earth mode for every single character (with the exception of [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]], whose design was done by [[Pat Lee]]) that appeared in the series. [[Aaron Archer]] took notice of his talents, and Figueroa now helps design toys for [[Hasbro]], most notably the [[Titanium Series|Titanium]] and [[Classics (2006)|Classics]] series, as well as contributing art to IDW Publishing's new range of Transformers comics.

Of all the [[Ark | Ark's]] crew that crash-landed on Earth, '''Windcharger''' is unquestionably the fastest on the ground, at least for short distances. Of all [[Autobot | Autobots]] living or deactivated he is among the quickest; he can go from zero to 60 MPH virtually instantly, limited only by the traction of the surface his tires are on. Frequently, after tearing away with a neck-snapping jerk, he will just as rapidly squeal to a halt to investigate something that caught his eye, for Windcharger is impulsive, as well as impatient, both in mind and in body.

Naturally, such quick starts require a huge burst of energy from Windcharger's power systems. He can also use this energy in another way. In robot mode, he can energize his arms and make them the poles of a precisely controllable electromagnet, powerful enough to levitate ten tons of steel 700 feet away. With care, he can draw objects gently toward him or hurl them violently away. Also, as the long-suffering laws of physics dictate, this field is extremely strong near Windcharger; at close range, he can tear magnetic objects to shreds.

Unfortunately for Windcharger, his power supply, biased as it is toward a brief, heavy overload, is prone to failure if the overload is too severe or too long-lasting. Even worse, his impulsive nature makes him hardly willing to exercise the mental control he needs to avoid overusing his power. As a result, Windcharger often finds himself stumbling home, reeking of ozone and burned insulation, and needing medical attention and a nice, tall, chilled glass of dielectric oil.

Windcharger was part of the initial crew of the [[Ark]], although his role throughout most of the wars on Earth was much more low-key than that of his fellow [[Mini Vehicles | Mini-Autbots]]. Of all the other Autobots, he seemed to be closest to [[Brawn]], judging from their excellent teamwork and friendly banter while journeying with [[Skyfire (G1)| Skyfire]] to investigate a Decepticon super-weapon in Peru. When Windcharger was injured during the battle later in that mission, Brawn was quick to swear vengeance for the small 'bot.

Though rarely given the chance to show off his impressive power over magnetism, Windcharger did manage to make use of it ''twice'' during [[Megatron (G1) | Megatron's]] attempt to bring [[Cybertron]] into Earth's orbit: first, to locate the Decepticon base for the rest of the rescue team when they were operating underground, and then again to help pull Bumblebee out of a really deep hole.

Much like his past, Windcharger's fate is something of an enigma - he was last seen among the corpses of the fallen at [[Autobot City]], but the exact circumstances of his death (and even the identity of his killer) may never be known.

The Microchange toyline was meant to depict robots that turn into toy cars, which attests to the somewhat cartoonish proportions of Windcharger's Trans Am mode. This mold was also used to make [[Camaro]], and was [[retool]]ed to make [[Tailgate (G1)|Tailgate]].

(The toy ''was'' released as Overdrive as part of the Japanese ''Binaltech'' line, however.) He transforms into a 1:24-scale licensed Honda S2000 sports car with a removable "ragtop" roof.

: Aside from the lack of die-cast metal, the major difference between Windcharger and Overdrive is that Windcharger lacks the long drive-shaft/barrel for his engine/rifle accessory, which was even called a "shield" on the packaging.
