It plays near the beginning of the feature during one of the most significant scenes; the beginning of the [[Battle of Autobot City]]. It begins as [[Perceptor (G1)|Perceptor]] informs [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]] of their "distinct tactical deficiency" and plays throughout, ending after the battle in the communications tower between [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]] and [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]]'s [[Mini-Cassette]]s. In the finished film, the song is edited in order to fit the length of the full scene, with some parts repeated and others shortened.

The opening riffs of the song were duplicated in Lion's cover of the [[theme song|Transformers theme song]] for the 2007 live-action movie as an homage.
