Early alternate model, fiction (once that's filled)
:Bud Hansen is a human from the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Bud Hansen, Tim and Coby's younger brother, is a young boy, with all the exuberance and naivete that comes with. Though he's far from stupid, his imagination rules him. A fan of bad sci-fi movies and the Galactic Guardians, he doesn't just want to be a movie director when he grows up—he wants to be a movie director now. As such, he has a quirky flair for drama, though it's tempered by a sense of fair play.

Despite his years, Bud is able to be surprisingly mature and even somewhat wise when he has to be. This doesn't keep him from getting himself and the more foolish of his robot friends into some rather bad situations (like unprotected orbital reentry). Fortunately (or unfortunately), the Transformers don't seem to know enough about human development to apply the necessary butt-whuppins to prevent these minor disasters.

With his brother and their friend Lori, Bud assists the Autobots during their search for the Cyber Planet Keys. He has probably bonded the most with the geeky Mini-Con Jolt, who calls him "Bud-dude", after Bud insisted he stop saying "Master Bud". (Not that it's much of an improvement, dorkiness-wise.) He believes that if they wanted to, the Autobots could walk around in plain sight as long as people thought they were just fanboys wearing costumes. The sad thing is...he's probably right.

The Hansen family was having a picnic, with the older boys riding their dirt bikes. However, Lori, whose family moved to the country for the 'peace and quiet', complained to Coby how they've been ruining it. Fortunately, before a fight could break out, Bud was able to calm Lori down (and butcher a classic metaphor at the same time.) A little while later, Bud noticed a strange humming sound along with a bright light in the sky. Soon after that, something crashed to Earth not too far away. When the kids go to investigate, they discover a giant robot at the bottom of a newly-formed crater. Using their quad, the kids managed to (miraculously) haul the robot out of the crater. When the kids started working on repairing the damaged robot, it introduced himself as Landmine and told the kids of how he came from a distant world named Cybertron that's currently in danger of being sucked into a monstrous blackhole. The Autobots had no choice but to evacuate the entire planet and head for Earth. As such, every Autobot had to assume a new alternate mode to blend on Earth to not frighten the humans. When the Autobots started evacuating, a warp gate appeared and an ancient clockwork spaceship came through it. The spaceship revealed itself to be Vector Prime the Keeper of Space and Time. Vector Prime explained on how four Cyber Planet Keys have been lost on different worlds during a space bridge project and those keys could awaken Primus and save Cybertron from the black hole. However, while Vector Prime was synchronizing his planet map, Starscream attacked and in the ensuing fight, Landmine nearly got sucked into the black hole, only for Vector Prime to open a warp gate that sent Landmine to Earth.

After that, a talking plane swooped down from the sky and fired its missiles at the group, which Landmine blocked with its body. The plane was about to come around for another attack when a talking, flying fire truck came out of nowhere and rammed it. Landmine identifed the fire truck as Optimus Prime. The kids watched Optimus blow away the jet, which he identified as Thundercracker, and then met the rest of Optimus' team. Optimus reluctantly acknowledges that the kids were a part of this now and revealed that the planet map had been stolen by Megatron. After that, Vector Prime introduced the kids to the Data Retrieval Team Mini-Cons. Immediately, Jolt identified the symbol on Lori's shirt as that of the Omega Lock, indicating that the Omega Lock is somewhere on Earth. Fallen

Bud doesn't trust the government because he's seen enough TV to know better. Smart kid!
Trivia
* According to TV Aichi's Galaxy Force webpage, Bud is 11 years old at the beginning of the series.

* Early promotional materials for Galaxy Force showed a somewhat different character model for Bud.
