Optimus Prime becomes destructive while MECH reveals their master plan.

Synopsis
Agent Fowler drives out of a military base, listening to a few tunes, when a semi truck begins to tailgate him too close for comfort. He realizes that it's more than a case of road rage when the truck rams him. Fowler notices a familiar symbol on his attacker's grille-the Autobot symbol. He contacts the Autobot base, where Optimus is not present. The apparent Optimus Prime continues to attack, and as Fowler comes upon a bridge, he pushes his car through the divider, where it hangs precariously. The Autobots receive his message and bridge in, causing Prime to flee and Arcee to give chase. Bumblebee catches Fowler's car as it falls, but the bumper detaches, and Bulkhead catches it before it hits the ground. Arcee comes upon Optimus, but is knocked out when he runs her over.

The next thing she knows, she's back at base, being checked up on. Ratchet doubts Arcee's assertion that Optimus ran her down, and the big 'bot arrives at base. The team goes on guard, but is soon convinced that this is the real Prime.

The other Optimus drives full speed into the military base, wrecking helicopters and prompting chase until he stops. As soldiers surround him and open the door to find no driver, he transforms, and aims a weapon at them.

Fowler recieves a call about the rampaging Prime-in robot mode.

Back at the base, the other Prime tears through lines of soldiers, prompting Optimus, Bumblebee and Bulkhead to bridge to his position. He retreats, and arriving military helicopters mistake the real thing for the fake, firing on them. They retreat to base.

Fowler fields a call asking about the attack, and recieves the news that all Autobots are to be shot on sight. The team realizes that MECH has finally succeeded in replicating Cybertronians, inside and out, using human-made parts after studying Transformer anatomy so carefully.

The false Prime arrives at a MECH bunker, with Silas in the control seat, expressing extreme satisfaction at the test run.

In attempting to locate the MECH base, Optimus notes that, unlike them, Nemesis must rely on his vehicle mode to move. This places him within driving distance of both incidents, giving a range for them to follow. The 'bots fan out, and Bumblebee comes upon a large complex. Optimus and the rest plan to rendezvous at his position. He enters, while Silas watches him. He powers up Nemesis Prime, and sends him out. Nemesis does badly to fool Bumblebee, and he quickly overpowers the scout.

The rest of the Autobots enter the compound, cautious of any lookalikes. Bulkhead and Arcee are both taken out individually, leaving Optimus for the final showdown.

At base, Ratchet attempts to use the control frequency of Nemesis to pinpoint his location. He does, and Fowler insists to bridge in, citing that he is the one best equipped to deal with the human element.

Nemesis squares off against Optimus, showing equal strength and ability. Fowler bridges in, and makes for the control bunker as the two Primes continue to spar. Nemesis catches Optimus, and shoves his blade in. Silas gloats, showing his intent to build an army of these soldiers, when Fowler enters. They spar as well, and Fowler falls, to reveal that he was just buying time for Optimus. The real Prime dominates Nemesis, and their fight crumbles the ceiling of the bunker, tumbling Silas's creation and a ton of rubble on top of him.

Optimus meditates on MECH's seemingly impaired functionality, noww that it lacks a leader. However, Fowler brings him troubling news—in the pile of wreckage, no body was found.

A group of MECH soldiers monitors Silas's condition, noting that his injuries are terminal by normal standards—but MECH is anything but. The camera pans onto the body of Breakdown.
Notes
Animation and technical errors
*When the soldiers confront Nemesis Prime at the military base, right when one says "This is a restricted area!", one of the soldiers is running but not moving in any direction; running in place.
*As Nemesis Prime begins to climb the tower, his battle-mask appears to retract invisibly to reveal a face.

Continuity notes
* MECH has Breakdown's reassembled remains, which they collected after his destruction in "Crossfire".
* Ratchet recalls MECH's study of Breakdown in "Operation: Breakdown".
* Optimus recalls the theft of Starscream's T-Cog, which they learned about in "Crossfire" after it happened in "Operation Bumblebee, Part 2".
* Silas took a scan of Optimus at the end of "Convoy", which is evidently how he was able to produce a nearly-identical copy of him in this episode.
*Optimus' right blade is repaired at last since the events in "One Shall Fall".

Transformers references
*Fowler listens to an instrumental version of "The Touch" on his car radio.
*Miko refers to the false Optimus Prime as "Nemesis Prime", which follows the description of several continuities.

Real-world references
*The opening scene with Fowler references Steven Spielberg's 1971 film Duel, starring an evil truck.

Trivia
*Silas is a former member of the Special Operations branch of the military, while Fowler is an ex-Army Ranger. Fowler is also trained as a gunman.
*Nemesis Prime's transformation uses a modified version of the regular transformation sound effect, which makes it sound as if the transformation is not as smooth as that of an actual Cybertronian.
*Bumblebee has an Autobot insignia on his engine block in his vehicular mode.
*This is the first time Silas and Fowler meet face-to-face--and fight too.
*Not once did Nemesis Prime retract his battle-mask. Apparently his construction ruined his face enough to hide it.

They spar as well, and Fowler falls, to reveal that he was just buying time for Optimus. The real Prime dominates Nemesis, and their fight crumbles the ceiling of the bunker, tumbling Silas's creation and a ton of rubble on top of him.
* Silas took a scan of Optimus at the end of "Convoy", which is evidently how he was able to produce a nearly-identical copy of him in this episode.

Transformers references
*Fowler listens to an instrumental version of "The Touch" on his car radio.

A legendary Autobot returns to Earth to look for a new Decepticon, but Optimus finds that something is not right with the rogue Bot.

Synopsis
Agent Fowler calls the Autobots, furious about another fight with possible collateral damage. Though all of them are present at base, Ratchet posits that the fighters may be infighting Decepticons. However, a video feed shows otherwise, for the two are an unidentified Skyquake-like Decepticon—and Wheeljack! Though Bulkhead is thoroughly excited, Fowler demands that the situation be handled pronto.

Outside of Omaha, Wheeljack battles it out with the 'Con. Agent Fowler hovers over the scene and demands stoppage, but is fired upon by Wheeljack. The Autobot is hit in the shoulder, and falls back as Agent Fowler supplies suppressive fire. A GroundBridge opens up, and the Autobots step out. They aid Wheeljack, and fire upon the Decepticon, who takes cover. Agent Fowler flies overhead, and the Decepticon seizes the opportunity to scan his vehicle. He runs toward a gas station, and Wheeljack aims his blasters at him. Despite Optimus and Bulkhead's cautioning, he fires, and the station explodes as the Decepticon transforms and flies off. Though Wheeljack believes that the 'Con—revealed as Dreadwing—rigged it to explode, he is informed otherwise. Though the Wrecker is eager to give pursuit, Optimus tells him that, while on Earth, it would be wise to respect his authority.

Back at base, Ratchet repairs Wheeljack. He apologizes for the collateral damage, but says that his pursuit of Dreadwing warranted it. He starts into the story of his pursuit. Originally, he was looking for Autobot refugees, but when the one he had found— the former Wrecker Seaspray—is blown to bits by one of Dreadwing's bombs, he made it his mission to track the rogue 'Con down. After several solar systems worth of pursuit, Wheeljack caught up with him on Earth. Optimus recounts his own knowledge of Dreadwing—he was a captain of a Seeker armada, and Skyquake's twin. He also infers that Dreadwing's mission is to pay allegiance to Megatron. Wheeljack is eager to get out and kick Dreadwing's tailpipe, but Optimus reels him in, saying that any action taken against the Decepticons must be carefully planned on this foreign planet. This infuriates the Wrecker, who can't fathom the idea of doing nothing. Agent Fowler walks in and admonishes Wheeljack for nearly blowing their cover, and demands that Prime keep a closer watch on his troops. Wheeljack doesn't take well to being called part of the team, and walks off, followed by Bulkhead. Optimus explains Wheeljack's disregard for authority by his inclusion in the Wreckers, a unit that operated outside of normal command.

Somewhere mountainous, Dreadwing holds a laser beacon that continues into the sky. The Nemesis arrives, and he boards. Megatron welcomes his loyalty, but Dreadwing reveals that he was brought to Earth with another purpose as well. He says that he and his twin, Skyquake, shared a split spark, and that he could feel across the galaxy when his brother was released from stasis—and when his spark was extinguished. This information is confirmed by Megatron, and Dreadwing vows to make every Autobot on Earth pay. Megatron avows that they will—eventually, under his terms. He advises the Seeker to obey him, for his best interests.

As Wheeljack works on his ship, Bulkhead attempts to change his mind about the planet. Wheeljack lists the comrades they'd lost in battle, but Bulkhead takes is as all the more reason that they must stick together. Wheeljack doubts Optimus's integrity, but Bulkhead stands firmly by him. Inside the Jackhammer, a challenge comes through over the commlink from Dreadwing. Wheeljack straps in to meet the 'Con, and Bulkhead gets in as well. They jet off to meet their challenger.

Dreadwing faces off against Wheeljack, both determined to finish their business. They exchange fire, and Dreadwing runs and jumps into a crevice. The Wrecker gives pursuit, and Dreadwing avails him of the "surprises" he's left—proximity bombs, scattered all throughout the crevice. He dodges them with ease, and pins the 'Con against a dead end. Bulkhead reveals himself atop the crevice, preventing Dreadwing from flying off. However, he has one last trick up his sleeve—one last bomb, placed meters from Bulkhead's position. It explodes, burying the two under the exploded cliff face as he flies off.

At base, Ratchet finds Bulkhead's transmission over a thousand miles away. At Optimus's inquiry, he says that no response has been made.

In the crevice, Optimus helps Wheeljack out of a pile of boulders. Though Optimus acknowledges that he cannot force Wheeljack to obey his orders, he reprimands the rebel for endangering the safety of one of his troops. Ratchet informs Optimus over comm that Bulkhead's signal has moved.

Wheeljack and Optimus fly to Bulkhead's location, a shipping depot. They find him in an unfortunate predicament, strapped to a crate with a bomb wired into his chest. Wheeljack gets to work defusing the bomb, but it proves a challenging prospect, as it is laced with all sorts of failsafes.

Dreadwing looks on, with Optimus in his sights. He receives a transmission from Megatron, and tells his leader that he is pursuing his destiny. Megatron responds by saying that Optimus is not so easily beaten.

Bulkhead tries to stop Wheeljack from continuing his attempts to defuse the bomb. He notices that Optimus is gone, and Wheeljack again deprecates Optimus for fleeing when the situation gets hot.

Megatron allows Dreadwing to continue his plan, out of respect for his deceased brother. He disconnects, and muses to Soundwave that he does not expect him to come back. Dreadwing notices that Optimus is not there anymore, and Optimus chooses to announce himself. He appeals to the Decepticon's sense of honor, saying that his master does not respect chivalry and honor as he and his brother did. Dreadwing refuses the offer of defection, and fires upon Prime, who escapes into the maze of containers.

Bulkhead pleads with Wheeljack to leave, but it falls on deaf ears. He says that the only bot who knows how to defuse the bomb is Dreadwing. Wheeljack remarks on the encroaching blaster fire, when he is delivered an uppercut by Bulkhead. The big bot tears out of his restraints, and runs away from his friend.

Dreadwing continues to spar with Optimus, but loses him from his sights.

Bulkhead runs toward the water, apologizing in advance to the sea life, when Wheeljack jumps out and tries to stop him. He is no match for the huge 'Bot, and is pushed along with him. He appeals to Bulkhead, agreeing with the fact that only Dreadwing can defuse the bomb—and that Optimus knows it as well.

The Seeker slowly searches the dock. Suddenly, he hears a roar, and above him, Optimus comes crashing down on top of him with a shipping crane. Pinned, Dreadwing is forced to listen again to Optimus's proposal to defuse the bomb, which is now standing right beside him. Dreadwing is unfazed, saying that he would rather destroy himself and all three Autobots to avenge his brother. Optimus calls his bluff, and says that they too will die in fire with their brother. He grudgingly accepts, and defuses the bomb. However, not about to leave empty handed, Dreadwing sets off the many bombs he had placed throughout the port, and flies off. Wheeljack wonders who will clean that up.

On the Nemesis, Megatron gloats about Dreadwing's defeat, but seems mildly surprised that the Seeker still lives. Dreadwing, in the wake of his defeat, pledges his total loyalty to Megatron.

At the base, now addressing Optimus as "Commander," Wheeljack apologizes for his misjudgment about him earlier. All the Autobots, sans Ratchet, try to convince Wheeljack to stay. He says he'll explore the planet, to see if it's right for him. However, Bulkhead tells him that he has to have an Earth alternate mode.

Outside, Wheeljack transforms, and drives off into the distance.
Notes
Animation and technical errors
* When Wheeljack faces Dreadwing in the forest, the scar on his left shoulder (that was inflicted by Dreadwing in their first showdown on Earth) seems to have disappeared. Few moments later it's there again.
* When Wheeljack is chasing Dreadwing through the chasm, his grenade can be seen on his hip, despite having using it earlier.

Continuity notes
* This episode features the first on-screen use of the term Terrorcon.
* Soundwave shows scenes of Optimus and Bumblebee's fight with Skyquake in "Masters & Students".
* Arcee references "Masters & Students" and "Shadowzone".

Transformers references
* Wheeljack namedrops former Wreckers Impactor, Roadbuster, Rotorstorm, and Pyro. The Generation 1 incarnations of these four characters are all Wreckers from various continuities: Impactor and Roadbuster were original members of the group when it was first introduced in "Target: 2006", while Rotorstorm and Pyro joined in Last Stand of the Wreckers. Like their Prime counterparts, all four characters have indeed been seen to die while serving as Wreckers in one continuity or another. Seaspray being a Wrecker, meanwhile, is a new addition.
* Wheeljack namedrops the Dromedon system and the planets Maderan and Sandokan.
* Dreadwing is referred to as a Seeker.
* Dreadwing references The Pit.
*Optimus explains how the Wreckers are a separate team faction from the Autobots.

Real-world references
*Fowler compares the activities of the Wreckers to "black ops", a term for covert military operations.

Trivia
*Fowler really needs to stop flying that jet of his around Decepticons who look like they turn into jets.
*Wheeljack finally takes an Earth-based vehicle mode. Seems like he's on Earth to stay.
*Dreadwing's proximity bombs have plates resembling his wings. Perhaps they're his trademark symbol for each location he visits--though it doesn't last when it explodes.
*Optimus didn't look very comfortable in Wheeljack's ship.
*Dreadwing is shown in his Cybertronian vehicle mode. It resembles that of Slipstream from War for Cybertron.
*While Skyquake, Airachnid, and Dreadwing are all Decepticons, Wheeljack is the first Autobot to take on an Earth vehicle mode on-screen in the series.

However, a video feed shows otherwise, for the two are an unidentified Skyquake-like Decepticon—and Wheeljack ! Though Bulkhead is thoroughly excited, Fowler demands that the situation be handled pronto.

Outside of Omaha, Wheeljack battles it out with the 'Con. Agent Fowler hovers over the scene and demands stoppage, but is fired upon by Wheeljack. The 'Bot is hit in the shoulder, and falls back as Agent Fowler supplies suppressive fire.

Bumblebee questions his worthiness to his team after he is compromised.

Synopsis
Optimus Prime and Ratchet stake out a Vehicon mining operation overseen by Megatron. Optimus isn't about to let Megatron have whatever gave off the signal that led him and Ratchet here, and he confronts Megatron just as the Vehicons break earth and hand the package to him. Megatron advises Optimus to stow his weapons; the device they've unearthed is a deadly spark extractor, capable of sapping the spark from the body of every Cybertronian in its radius. He takes the opportunity to gloat about how Optimus—ahem, Orion—led him to it before stepping through the GroundBridge, and ordering the Vehicons to hold Ratchet and Optimus off. Close by, Bumblebee speeds over a cliff and through the attacking Vehicons, before driving into the GroundBridge. He transforms and grabs the package from Megatron's hand, before turning around and bolting. Megatron runs after him, but upon arriving outside the vortex, finds his troops destroyed and all three Autobots gone.

Back at base, Bumblebee brags about his vehicular acrobatics. Ratchet informs Optimus of the reason for the Autobot homing beacon on the device—it was sealed away in Iacon during the war, but was jettisoned offworld when the Decepticons raided the city. Arcee asks if Optimus remembers if he transcribed any other coordinates, but Optimus regrets that he does not. Ratchet posits that Megatron said he decrypted multiple targets to play havoc with Optimus' psyche.

On the Nemesis, Megatron laments over the loss of the spark extractor, and regrets that he did no more than destroy Bumblebee's voicebox back on Cybertron. Soundwave reminds Megatron that there are still two contacts on Earth to investigate.

On the road, Bumblebee sounds off to Bulkhead to rendezvous with him at the coordinates of the new distress beacon. Upon arriving, however, the only device present is an upright beacon. Suddenly, Bumblebee is stunned by a large electrical blast, and he falls unconscious. Silas and a MECH team emerge from the shadows, including a MECH Surgeon who starts work on Bumblebee. Unseen by the troops below, Starscream arrives and transforms on an overlooking cliff. As MECH spots Bulkhead incoming, the surgeon finishes his work, and the team departs in a helicopter. Bulkhead arrives and asks Bumblebee who did it, but Bumblebee doesn't recall. Bulkhead advises pursuit, and transforms to roll—but Bumblebee doesn't. Antsy at the hold-up, Bulkhead asks Bumblebee why he's not transforming, and Bumblebee replies that he can't.

Back at base, Ratchet scans Bumblebee and discovers that his T cog is missing. The Autobots quickly work out MECH is behind it, and Optimus tells Bumblebee he's going to have to rely on his friends for a while. Bumblebee is very depressed. Optimus is worried about what Megatron might unearth next.

MECH install Bumblebee's T cog into the robot they've built, but when they power it up and have it scan a helicopter, the robot is unable to transform. Starscream, who has been spying on them, reveals himself and proposes an alliance. He explains the T cog requires energon to work. He intends to supply MECH with information on energon so they can work out a way to find energon deposits.

Bumblebee is making a pain of himself bugging Ratchet, who asks Raf and Miko to keep him busy. Unfortunately all of their entertainment reminds Bumblebee of his missing vehicle mode. Raf makes another attempt to make Bumblebee feel better, but is undermined by Arcee and Jack racing into the base at high speed. Ratchet has to stop Bumblebee from going out for a walk, but feels guilty at his inability to fix his fellow Autobot.

Some time later, Ratchet picks Raf up outside school, much to the boy's discomfort.

On monitoring duty, Bulkhead detects a signal, and Bumblebee insists on going with him to investigate.

Raf asks how Bumblebee's voice box was damaged, and Ratchet tells how Bumblebee was captured at Tyger Pax and given a working over by the Decepticons. Though a field medic saved the scout, it wasn't enough to save his voice box.

Bulkhead and Bumblebee track the signal to a cave. Knock Out soon comes barreling out, closely followed by Breakdown. While Bulkhead tackles the latter, Bumblebee attempts to chase Knock Out on foot. He soon finds he can't even transform his arms to deploy his guns, and is forced to continue the pursuit by using an old truck as an impromptu go-kart. Unfortunately it loses a wheel, and as Knock Out speeds off with the pilfered device, Bumblebee is sent flying off a cliff.
Notes
Animation and technical errors
Continuity notes
*This marks the first mention of Megatron being responsible for destroying Bumblebee's capacity to speak at Tyger Pax, having been established in Transformers: Exodus for the Aligned continuity.
*Megatron calls Optimus by his pre-Prime name "Orion Pax" from the previous episodes. The three sets of coordinates the Decepticons are investigating here are likewise the fruits of Project Iacon.
*We first heard about Project Chimera in "Operation: Breakdown", the events of which Starscream also makes mention of. Here we finally see what the project is—an attempt to create a MECH-designed Transformer.
*The old pickup truck Bumblebee uses to chase Knock Out was first seen in "Convoy", and again in "Metal Attraction".

Transformers references
*The device dú jour today is the spark extractor, courtesy of ancient Decepticons. However, unlike the original, this one seems to be more of a bomb-like device, sapping the sparks of everyone in its radius. It might not be a coincidence that the device showed up in an episode written by Marty Isenberg, given that he was one of the two showrunners of the series it originated from.
*The T-cog is a reference to the transformation cog of G1 lore. It was first referred to in the The Transformers episode "Five Faces of Darkness, Part 1", in which the lack of a transformation cog meant that Metroplex was stuck in city mode.
*Ratchet also has to explain to Bumblebee that the Autobots are "Robots In Disguise", which is why he can't leave the base while his T-Cog is missing.

Real-world references
*Megatron uses the term "mutually assured destruction", a longtime slogan for the effect of nuclear war.
*Knock Out references Rent-A-Car, a real-world car rental service.

Trivia
*In a first for the series, Bumblebee's car mode is revealed as the Urbana 500. The Urbana 500. It won't just rock your world. It'll transform it.
*This is the first time a fight has happened inside the GroundBridge.
*Bumblebee, Ratchet and Starscream's Cybertronian modes, again, have Earth vehicle kibble.
*The title is a nod to a Season 1 episode "Operation: Breakdown".
*Starscream appears to have his classic G1 colors while he is negotiating with MECH.

Bumblebee questions his worthiness to his team after he is compromised.

Synopsis
Optimus and Ratchet stake out a Vehicon mining operation overseen by Megatron. He takes the opportunity to gloat about how Optimus—ahem, Orion—led him to it before stepping through the ground bridge, and ordering the Vehicons to hold Ratchet and Optimus off. Closeby, Bumblebee speeds over a cliff and through the attacking Vehicons, before driving into the GroundBridge.

Arcee asks if Optimus remembers if transcripted any other coordinates, but Optimus regrets that he does not. Ratchet posits that Megatron said he decrypted multiple targets to play havoc with Optimus' psyche.

On the Nemesis, Megatron laments over the loss of the spark extractor, and regrets that he did no more than destroy Bumblebee's voicebox back on Cybertron.
Notes
Animation and technical errors
Continuity notes
*It is with this episode that the events of Alex Irvine's apocryphal story, Bumblebee at Tyger Pax, are confirmed. However, this does not place the story in the realm of canon-it is still not sanctioned by Hasbro.
*Optimus is referred by Megatron as his pre-Prime name "Orion Pax" from the previous episodes.

Transformers references
*The device dú jour today is the spark extractor, courtesy of ancient Decepticons. However, unlike the original, this one seems to be more of a bomb-like device, sapping the sparks of everyone in its radius.
*The T-cog is a reference to the transformation cog of G1 lore. It also controlled at least one robot's ability to transform, and when removed, has similar results.

Real-world references
*Megatron uses the term "mutually assured destruction", a longtime slogan for the effect of nuclear war.
*Knock Out references Rent-A-Car, a real-world car rental service.

Trivia
*Starscream's voice is somewhat deeper in this episodes than ones previous. It's kind of unsettling.
*In a first for the series, Bumblebee's car mode is revealed as the Urbana 500. The Urbana 500. It won't just rock your world. It'll transform it.
Megatron manipulates the impaired Optimus into joining the Decepticons.

Synopsis
With the Autobots back at base after Unicron's defeat, Ratchet grimly outlines the situation and speculates that Optimus has reverted to Orion Pax, his pre-Prime self.

On the Nemesis, Megatron makes a ship-wide announcement that Orion Pax is to be treated as a guest. Airachnid doesn't think it's wise to let an Autobot on board, but Megatron isn't concerned and has his own plans for Orion. Elsewhere on the ship, Knock Out affixes a new Decepticon insignia to Orion's shoulder.

Fowler wonders why they can't just track down Optimus's signal, but Ratchet says it hasn't been on their sensors since they left the Earth's core. They must find some way to track down Optimus regardless, so they can somehow restore his memory. The best bet seems to be to use the Key to Vector Sigma, but the problem is, Vector Sigma's on Cybertron.

Megatron begins to fill Orion Pax in on what's been happening, spinning a yarn about how Orion has been a captive of the Autobots, who are led by the Warlord Ratchet. Orion is shocked at the images Megatron shows him of a war-ravaged Cybertron.

June announces that there's no way Jack is going to Cybertron, but Ratchet says only Jack can use the key to access Vector Sigma. The point's moot anyway, as they don't have any way to get to Cybertron. As Raf points out, the GroundBridge barely made orbit, though Miko wonders why Ratchet can't just "turbo-charge" it.

With Megatron finished "informing" Orion, the latter vows to help the Decepticons overcome Ratchet and the Autobots. Megatron has Soundwave remove any incriminating evidence from the ship's data core so Orion can be put to work furthering the Decepticon cause without any risk of him finding anything embarrassing.

Sierra turns up at KO Burger to visit Jack as he works at the drive through, confused that she never sees him outside school. Their discussion is interrupted by Arcee picking him up as his shift ends. Sierra jumps to the obvious conclusion after hearing the female voice, and seems unconvinced by Jack's claim that it's his mother. Arcee reports that they haven't detected Optimus yet.

Megatron discusses their new comrade with Knock Out, who wonders if they shouldn't beef up the security, however Orion's workstation has been located close to the energon storage, which is under heavy guard.

Back at base, Ratchet is "tinkering" with the GroundBridge.

Orion has managed to decode some of the data from the Iacon archives, giving coordinates on Earth of stashed Cybertronian technology, possibly weapons. He is puzzled by the absence from the Nemesis of Starscream who is mentioned in the documents as being Megatron's second-in-command, but Megatron claims Starscream is dead. Megatron returns to the bridge, where he tells Soundwave he's concerned that Orion will soon learn the truth.

Fowler contacts the Autobots to let them know that the Decepticons are attacking one of the military bases they hit two months before. Bumblebee, Bulkead and Arcee respond, finding Knock Out and Breakdown in the process of stealing a power source. As the pair GroundBridge out, Arcee races through after them and begins speeding through the Nemesis, bashing Vehicons and hunting for Optimus. Soundwave soon relays her presence to Megatron, and though Airachnid offers to deal with it, Megatron sends Soundwave to ensure the Autobot is escorted off the ship. Alerted by the fighting, Orion emerges from his quarters, but Soundwave manages to GroundBridge Arcee off the ship just before Orion can see her.

Deposited somewhere arctic, Arcee is soon back at base admitting she didn't succeed in determining the location of the ship or whether Optimus was even aboard. Fowler makes a brief call to yell at them for the human casualties at the base, and tensions among the Autobots soon spill over into arguing. Jack, however, believes they can commandeer the Decepticon space bridge once it's complete, and use it to reach Cybertron. The Autobots are doubtful, but determined to try and find the space bridge.

Meanwhile, Starscream sneaks back on board the Nemesis to steal a stack of energon cubes. Though he deals with the Vehicons guarding the energon storage, more are on their way, and he's forced to duck into a nearby room. His relief as momentary, as he finds himself face to face with Optimus Prime.
