'''Thundercracker''' suffered from low self-esteem and longed for approval from authority figures to validate his existence. He was willing to work as hard as necessary to gain attention and praise from [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]], but when all his efforts were ignored or taken for granted, he grew frustrated. Thundercracker felt the need to engage in ever more risky and reckless behavior in an attempt to gain Megatron's notice. Many predicted this would lead to his destruction.

When next we see Thundercracker it is over ten years later, loyally serving under [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] during the search for the [[Cyber Planet Key]]s. In the intervening years he became something of a jokester and goofball. This has often gained him the attention that he craves. Though frequently, especially when Megatron is the brunt of the joke, it is far from positive attention. Thundercracker doesn't seem mature enough to tell the difference, but he does know when to get the smelt out of Decepticon HQ before Megatron looks for someone to pummel.

'''Side Burn''' is an adolescent speedster and turbo-revving young punk. His brain development has yet to catch up with his robo-hormones. This is particularly annoying to his law-abiding brother [[Prowl (RID)|Prowl]] and the fussbudget Autobot computer known as [[T-AI]]. Even the more easygoing [[X-Brawn]] can grow tired of his antics. They're no fun anyway, and he can always outrun them. He can outrun just about everybody and everything except his own foolishness.

His greatest folly is his fixation on red cars. Transformer or not, sentient or not, he can't resist chasing after a pretty little thing of the red persuasion, proclaiming loudly and often his libidinous designs. This is usually a bad idea and occasionally a very bad idea, like that one time the red car turned out to be [[Megatron (RID)|Megatron]] in drag. Yikes. His "super" redeco was red. It's best not to think about it.

Side Burn is a good talker as well as a good racer. He can tell a real tearjerker of a story if he's in the mood. Ask [[Slapper (RID)|Slapper]] about it some time.

Ricochet shifts without notice between a furious passion for combat and sulking, angsty depression, needing to be coerced and cajoled onto the battlefield. His fellow Nebulan Boomer takes it on himself to cheer up Ricochet when this happens. Fortunately, he's good at this.

On Nebulos, Ricochet was a renowned environmental sculptor (think, "landscaping as a fine art") who witnessed the destruction of several of his famous sculptures by the Decepticons. Stung by the perceived insult, he signed up to join the Autobots.

Ricochet was bio-engineered to turn into an automatic sub-machine gun that fires titanium-tipped, armor-piercing explosive rounds. As a Nebulan Targetmaster partner, Ricochet is able to combine with Boomer to increase the power of his own weapon or boost the power of Boomer's sonic pulse cannon.

Ricochet responds poorly to criticism.

Ricochet and Boomer were paired with Quickmix on Cybertron during a series of fuel raids with the recently revived Grimlock, Jazz and Bumblebee. When Galvatron attacked some months later, Ricochet, Boomer and the other Nebulan "double" Targetmasters were absent during their Autobot partners' fight with Galvatron.

He's a cheery sort in general, almost always in a good mood, but nothing makes him downright giddy as a child on Christmas morning as having so many targets to pick and choose from that he doesn't know where to start destroying. Just about the only thing that ever puts him in a bad mood is having to give up his independence and combine with his teammates, whom he tolerates at best, to form [[Predaking]]. In his free time, Divebomb likes to use available scrap to build himself "mechanest" fortresses at the top of the highest available point. These plush private apartments are something of a point of pride for him. "I like to live comfortably," he explains with a smile.

Ten years after the defeat of Unicron, Over-Run showed Prime how to commune with Cybertron itself. Doing so reformatted the Autobot leader into a body capable of [[Powerlinx|Powerlinking]] with a team of 'drone' vehicles, and granting the ability to combine with each other to other Autobots.

Upon returning to Earth, he decided that the Autobots will no longer hide from the inhabitants, but work with them openly. This decision led, among other things, to the Autobots' induction into the UN.
