Equipped with his thick armor, '''W.A.R.S.''' loves nothing more than bodily crashing into his enemies. ==Notes==
* The color scheme and deco of the original Spychanger toy is an homage to [[Ricochet (Headmasters)|Stepper]], an originally Japanese exclusive [[Targetmaster]] redeco of the 1984 [[Jazz (G1)|Jazz]] toy that's now better known as "Ricochet" outside Japan. Oddly enough, however, the original Japanese version of the Car Robots Spychanger used the name of Stepper's fellow Targetmaster, [[Artfire]].
* In Japan, Artfire is a [[relative]] of [[Optimus Prime (RID)|Fire Convoy]].
When the [[Predacon (RID)|Predacons]] stole a plutonium energy generator and attempted to escape along a beach, they were confronted with Mirage, Ironhide and [[W.A.R.S.]] driving across the water towards them. Later, the team tried to protect a ruby from Predacon theft, but the mission failed—partly because of Mirage's unwillingness to fire at the Predacons and risk hitting a chemical tank. Ironhide was supportive of his friend, even when the other Spy Changers considered dropping him from the team. Afterwards, Ironhide tried to persuade Mirage to come back and talk to the others but was rebuffed. Much to his shock and surprise, Mirage announced he'd be better off with the Predacons and Ironhide declared their friendship over. When Mirage lured the Spy Changers to a location where the Predacons had built a "mega-laser", he revealed the fact that he'd been bugged to Ironhide, who finally understood his friend's odd behavior. The Spy Changers accompanied Optimus Prime to [[Montrose Island]] where Predacon activity was causing the volcano to become violent. When the volcano was ruptured and lava threatened the nearby resort, the Spy Changers used their Inferno Blast to divert its path. {{storylink|Volcano|Volcano}}
With [[Ultra Magnus (RID)|Ultra Magnus]] having departed Earth aboard Fortress Maximus, the Autobots were unable to call upon his power when a new menace suddenly arose to challenge them. In order to combat this threat, a plan was put into motion to upgrade the Spy Changers with [[Spark Engine|Spark Engines]], granting them Super Modes.
Ricochet is both afraid of betrayal within his own ranks by those who covet his high position to the point of paranoia, and is also haunted by the knowledge that his brother is Prime's favorite of the two. His rampages serve to both increase his kill-count to look good in Prime's eyes, as well as "accidentally" take care of any would-be usurpers... and who knows, maybe one day Jazz might "accidentally" end up a casualty... that ''would'' be such a pity.
===Shattered Glass===
Ricochet and Jazz were overseeing the [[smelting pool]] when Optimus Prime and [[Rodimus (SG)|Rodimus]] brought [[Cliffjumper (G1)|Cliffjumper]] to [[Iacon]]. He laughed with the other Autobots when the strangely-behaving Cliffjumper was blasted by Prime for objecting to the execution of [[Rumble (SG)|Rumble]] like a weak Decepticon. Later, during the Decepticon attack on the ''[[Ark (SG)|Ark]]'', he was felled by an unknown assailant. {{storylink|Shattered Glass (issue)|Shattered Glass}}

With Optimus Prime rebuilding the ''Ark'', the Decepticons decided to follow the [[Autobot]]s into space in their own spacecraft. Ricochet hatched a scheme to delay the Decepticons by capturing their leader. He thought that if [[Megatron (SG)|Megatron]] was absent, the Decepticons would never take off after the Autobots.

So Ricochet lured Megatron to the [[Temple of Knowledge]]. All the while making sarcastic remarks, Ricochet gained the upper hand with help from his [[Targetmaster]] partner [[Nightstick (SG)|Nightstick]]. Along with [[Scoop (SG)|Scoop]] and [[Holepunch (SG)|Holepunch]], and [[Crosshairs (SG)|Crosshairs]] and [[Pinpointer (SG)|Pinpointer]], Ricochet held Megatron hostage, demanding a ransom from the Decepticons.

The Decepticons, instead of delaying their flight, sent a group of [[Micromaster]]s to rescue Megatron. The gang of small Decepticons harried Ricochet's group.

Optimus Prime discovered Ricochet's plan and was outraged that his subordinate would take away from him the glory of capturing Megatron. Prime left the ''Ark''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s launch site to reprimand Ricochet.

The Micromasters had just disposed of Ricochet's group when Optimus Prime arrived at the hideout. Prime was none too happy with Ricochet's initiative, but chose to take credit for the scheme in front of Megatron. But before Prime could execute his Decepticon rival, the Micromasters busted in, distracting the Autobots long enough for Megatron to escape. Eventually, Megatron won the day, but both the Autobots' ship and the Decepticons' ship had launched without their respective leaders.

Once back at the ''Ark''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s launch site, Optimus ordered Scoop to take Ricochet and Crosshairs to the [[Agonizing Rehabilitation Chamber]]s. The sadistic smirk was finally wiped off Ricochet's face. {{storylink|Do Over}}
Ricochet transforms into a [[wikipedia:Bugatti Veyron|Bugatti Veyron]] mid-engine sports car. His spoiler/rear thruster is a spring-loaded missile launcher that fires a flame-shaped projectile; this becomes his hand-held rifle in robot mode. Plugging a [[Cyber Key]] (his is a black-bordered [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]-Autobot-style key) into his tailgate makes a pair of non-firing missile racks pop up from the engine bay and flip over onto his roof, or over his shoulders in robot mode. His car mode's rear panels and running boards can swing forward to become hip-mounted non-firing blasters.

: Ricochet was initially only available to BotCon 2008 attendees who purchased the full "Primus Package" set of six toys, along with [[Optimus Prime (SG)|Optimus Prime]], [[Grimlock (SG)|Grimlock]], Autobot Jazz, [[Goldbug (SG)|Goldbug]], [[Razorclaw (SG)|Razorclaw]] and [[Starscream (SG)|Starscream]]. Since the boxed sets sold out in record time, they immediately decided to come up with an alternative package: re-releasing the [[BotCon 2005]] boxed set, at a lower cost no less, and announcing that Ricochet would still be available for those who purchased it.
Yo, remember the [[Wrecker]]s? Dat mercenary team o' big guns? No? Fuhgeddaboudit. 'Eh, '''Rodimus''' used to lead them, 'till, I dunno. Sumpthin. But one day, badda bing, badda boom, all his Wreckers are dead, 'cept for him! Slag that noise! Joins the [[Autobot]]s. So let me tell you, this Rodimus is a smooth operator. He had a [[wikipedia:van dyke beard|van dyke beard]] added to his facial superstructure a few cycles back. He feels it makes him look, ya know, distinguished or sumpthin. I tell you what, though, he's got his eye on dat [[Optimus Prime (SG)|Prime]] dude. Not that nobody doesn't know it. But dat Prime, he'll get his whatfor, and then? Our guy Rodimus will turn the Autobots into the greatest mercenary team known to the universe, ''capisce?''
Though Rodimus bought into [[Optimus Prime (SG)|Optimus Prime]]'s vision for a ruthless and violent [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], he'd rather he be the one in charge. As such, Rodimus led a team of ruthless mercenaries called the [[Wrecker]]s. The battle of [[Praxus-Delta]] would be their last; Optimus Prime hired the Wreckers to bolster the Autobot ranks, but every Wrecker save Rodimus was destroyed. Rodimus believed in little else but his business contracts, and so despite his heavy losses he continued to fight for the Autobots. Eventually, when a spot on the roster "opened up," Prime made him a member of the elite [[Seeker (SG)|Seeker]] trio. <ref>Rodimus's bio card</ref>
[[Image:Seekersshatteredglass.jpg|right|100px|thumb|Does that make Rodimus Skywarp?]]
One day, Rodimus was investigating a strange energy buildup when he stumbled onto [[Cliffjumper (G1)|Cliffjumper]], who he'd thought long dead. After gunning down [[Ruckus (SG)|Ruckus]] when the Decepticon got in Cliffjumper's face (and explaining his [[facial hair]]), he led Cliffjumper back to [[Iacon]] to reunite with Optimus Prime.

However, it didn't take long to discover that this Cliffjumper was not [[Cliffjumper (SG)|the Cliffjumper Rodimus thought he was]], but a doppelganger. As Cliffjumper lay in smoking ruin, Rodimus laughed with the others at his misfortune. The Seekers were ordered to drop Cliffjumper in the [[Rad Zone]]. This backfired when Cliffjumper fell in with the Decepticons, who quickly mounted an attack. Rodimus and the other Seekers were ordered to destroy the Decepticon armies before they could destroy the launching platform to the ''[[Ark (Shattered Glass)|Ark]]'', a starship that would lead the Autobots to other planets to conquer. Ultimately, the Autobots failed to protect the launching platform, and Rodimus and the others were defeated and lay crumpled. {{storylink|Shattered Glass (issue)|Shattered Glass}}
