Arcee and Bumblebee go deep into New York's "underground" in an attempt to beat Megatron to the next four Iacon relics.

Synopsis
The Autobot team, having obtained the same coordinates for four Iacon relics as the Decepticons, plan their next course of action. Optimus suggests a dispersal, so they can obtain all the relics simultaneously. Despite initial resistance from Arcee, the New York site, and the relic contained beneath its streets, are selected for Arcee and Bumblebee to scout. Miko volunteers her knowledge of subways and Jack his ability to cover, and they get underway.

Having moved away from Manhattan, Megatron assigns Knock Out the discreet task of obtaining the relic there as well. At a disadvantage without Breakdown, Knock Out is unwillingly appointed an Insecticon partner, along with a small detachment of Vehicon miners. Beyond frustrated with Knock Out's lack of concern beyond his paint job, Megatron sends them off.

In a New York alleyway, Arcee and Bumblebee bridge in. They quickly locate a construction site, their entrance to the vast subway network. As they walk, Bumblebee nearly steps on a third rail, but Jack cautions against its danger in time. A familiar sound echoes through the tunnels—a Decepticon drill, which Miko pinpoints the direction of. She tears off through an access tunnel, Jack in tow. On the other side, they are confronted by Vogel, a sweeper train operator, and Miko constructs a hasty lie that saves their tail. He offers to take them for a ride.

Vogel's personality soon becomes clear as he recounts tales of monsters that creep through the subways—including the mole men, who he believes are amassing their armies. Miko and Jack make an escape through the back of the train, Vogel totally oblivious.

Arcee and Bumblebee find Knock Out's party, but are unaware of the Insecticon creeping up on them. It beats down the duo, alerting Knock Out to their presence. Arcee and Knock Out exchange blows while Bumblebee occupies the Insecticon, and the former makes a grab for the relic—but is halted by an electron prod to the back. Bumblebee is also quickly floored by the Insecticon. Satisfied, Knock Out cracks the relic's packaging and prepares to field-test the device on his new subjects.

Jack and Miko bicker in the tunnel about Jack's sojourn to Cybertron, but are stopped in their tracks by the sound of footprints. It's Vogel, none too happy about being ditched. Miko, capitalizing on the man's conspiratorial bent, gets Jack to tell him the truth. Vogel is enthralled, and they all board his train to meet their friends.
Vehicon
:The Vehicons are a faction from the Beast Machines portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Vehicons are Megatron's personal army, a legion of military Transformers that allowed him to conquer planet Cybertron and protect his one-robot empire from all threats. They pack lots of firepower and travel and attack en masse.

The overwhelming majority of Vehicons are unliving drones with no innate sentience or spark. Each Vehicon drone is usually controlled either directly by Megatron, or by a single sentient Vehicon general of the same (or similar) design. After the loss of Tankor and Jetstorm, their respective drones are apparently controlled by other generals.

Vehicon drones are generally blindly obedient, with no sense of self-preservation. On rare occasions, various drones have appeared to use emotive body language, shaking in apparent fear or pleading (wordlessly) not to be shot. On one occasion a Tank Drone was seen to vocalize with Tankor's voice.

Drone types
* Scavenger drones
* Jet drones, led by Spy Streak
* Tank drones, led by Blastcharge and Quake
Fiction
Beast Machines cartoon
The Vehicons first appeared on Cybertron in the wake of the virus that devastated the planet's population. Forbidden Fruit Megatron created factories to recycle the discarded body shells of captured Transformers into more Vehicons; Revelations Part I: Discovery in this way, his army fed on its own success. Soon the planet was cleared of all Transformers except for Vehicons, who then patrolled its empty streets and skies.

The drones attacked Optimus Primal's crew of Maximals when they crash-landed on the conquered planet, disabling them with gas canisters containing a transformation virus. Revelations Part II: Descent and continued to harass them in the wake of the Maximals' reformatting. The Reformatting When this failed to destroy the techorganic Maximals, Megatron commissioned his first three Vehicon generals to oppose his old foes. Fires of the Past

Even the three generals would ultimately prove ineffective against the Maximals. Tankor eventually betrayed Megatron and was destroyed. End of the Line Jetstorm was reformatted by the Maximals, and reverted to his original Silverbolt persona. In Darkest Knight Thrust, by contrast, remained loyal to the end.

With his initial plan having met with failure, Megatron summoned up two more generals, and two new drone types as well. Sparkwar Pt. I: The Strike They did well, but Cheetor didn't like them so he shot 'em into space. Endgame Pt. II: When Legends Fall

It is not known what became of the Vehicon drones after the war against Megatron ended; however, it is not unreasonable to guess that they were reformatted into technorganic form along with the planet Cybertron itself, providing bodies for the newly-liberated sparks of Cybertron's population. Endgame Pt. III: Seeds of the Future

3H comics
Mirage attacked Primal Prime's newly-arrived team of Maximals. He plunged Apelinq into the same transwarp portal that the team had come through. He was destroyed in transit. Apelinq's War Journals

A horde of Vehicon drones, led by three all-new Generals, were unable to stop the Wreckers from stealing an Autobot shuttle and blowing up the spaceport. Departure
:The Vehicons made up fully one half of the Beast Machines toyline. They were the first new fully-vehicular Transformer toys since the end of Generation 2 in 1995, and the first to explore a Cybertronian aesthetic since Generation 1. Their vehicle forms are futuristic and military-themed. Most have a vehicle mode "head" analogue, allowing their vehicle form to look around. As robots, they sport unusually alien stylings and proportions. Some also sport unusual forms of locomotion, including legless hover modes and unicycle wheel bases. Most have a spark crystal located somewhere on their body.
Four million years ago, Chromia tried to board the Ark, while it was being attacked, with the rest of Elita One's team. The plan failed though, and she and the others appeared to be destroyed.

Shortly thereafter, a team of Decepticons from Earth came to capture Elita One. In doing so, Rumble destroyed the Female Autobots' underground base, trapping them inside. When they managed to free themselves, Chromia took charge of the search for their missing leader. On their way, they met up with a group of Earth-stationed Autobots who had come looking for Optimus Prime and Chromia was reunited with Ironhide. The two teams together fought the Decepticons, eventually winning when Optimus and Elita returned. When the Nemesis becomes sentient, it threatens humanity and Raf, Jack, and Miko are the only ones who can stop it.

Synopsis
With the Nemesis down, Megatron discovers an Autobot was responsible for the crash. Despite Knock Out's protests, Megatron infuses Dark Energon into the ship's power core. Meanwhile, the Autobots feel this might well be the time to strike. Optimus Prime decides on using the Spark Extractor.

The Dark Energon infusion of the Nemesis works, powering up the ship. The energy is detected by the Autobots, who immediately set out with Agent Fowler. They arrive to find the 'Con warship already airborne, and it begins firing on them. The Autobots attempt to get close enough to use the Spark Extractor, but the ship hits them one by one with a stasis beam, sending them into stasis lock. Megatron is pleased at being able to get the Spark Extractor back, but when he orders the ship to move closer, it abruptly changes course. When Megatron demands the ship be overridden, the Vehicon at the helm is electrocuted. The ship itself announces it is in charge and on a mission. Knock Out notes it's decoding the Iacon database. Furious, Megatron demands they retake control, but when Soundwave attempts, he's sent into stasis. Beams of energy sweep through the ship, disabling the Decepticons.

Back at base, Fowler notes that the Nemesis is heading towards North America, and the decision is made to try and contact Megatron to see what's up. On the warship, Knock Out is put into stasis while checking on the Iacon data, and Megatron attempts to disable the ship's power core, only to be put in stasis as well. When Ratchet contacts the Nemesis, the ship itself responds and helpfully lets them know its mission is to find the missing Iacon artifacts. Ratchet and the humans believe it's the opportune moment to download a copy of the Iacon database, so Fowler and the kids GroundBridge on board the ship. They find the Project Iacon console, and clambering up Knock Out, plug the transfer drive Ratchet gave them in. Jack notices the ship is heading for New York City, the location of the first relic. While trying to change the ship's course, Fowler is shocked into unconsciousness, but the ship, still scanning for Cybertronian-based life forms, is unable to detect the kids.

Though Ratchet wants to bridge the kids back, Jack realizes they have to do something now, and head to the ship's power core. There they find the frozen Megatron, and Jack discovers that the manually-operated fuel injection valve is too large for them to operate. While he's still trying, the ship detects Miko and Raf. As a manipulator arm starts chasing them, they hide among the energon cubes, but the arm moves the containers aside, eventually exposing them. Jack manages to attract its attention and trick it into hitting Megatron. The Decepticon leader topples over, dragging the lever down and reversing the energon flow. Though the ship tries to use the manipulator arm to move the lever back, it's not fast enough to do so before its intelligence returns to stasis. As the ship shuts down, the Decepticons begin recovering, and the kids make all haste back through the corridors. While Miko and Raf help Fowler through the GroundBridge, Jack goes after the transfer drive, but he's still struggling with it as Knock Out comes back online. Jack's saved from an untimely end when Ratchet appears through the GroundBridge and clobbers Knock Out, taking Jack and the transfer drive. Megatron is unhappy with Knock Out.

Ratchet gives the now-recovered Optimus the good news about the data they retrieved, but they realize they must act quickly, as the Nemesis is even now bearing down on Manhattan.
Notes
Animation and technical errors
Continuity errors
* In the previous episode, Bulkhead drove from the Nemesis crash site back to base rather than use the GroundBridge, suggesting the crash occurred not far away. In this episode, Fowler says the Nemesis is crossing the Atlantic Ocean and heading for North America.
* How does Jack on the Nemesis talk to Rachet back at base without a cell phone? He appears to be using an earpiece, but there's no indication that he received one.
* When stasis-locked Megatron gets knocked over, his hand, still clutching the release lever, opens to allow him to fall all the way. The rest of him stays completely stiff even upon hitting the ground.

Continuity notes
* The Insecticons joining the Decepticons, Bulkhead's damage to the Nemesis power core and the ship's crash all took place in the previous episode.
* The Decepticons found their Dark Energon supply back in "One Shall Rise, Part 1".
* Soundwave has been trying to decrypt the Iacon database since Optimus Prime recovered his memory in "Orion Pax, Part 3", and has apparently made very little progress.
* Though the Nemesis is established in Transformers: Exiles to be a stasis-locked Trypticon, its identity is left unstated here.
* The Autobots attempt to use the Spark extractor, which they aquired in "Operation Bumblebee, Part 1".

Transformers references
Real-world references
* The Nemesis's stasis beam uses the same sound effect of the Zat'ni'katel or Zat Gun from Stargate SG-1 which was, itself, a stunning weapon.

Trivia
* The Nemesis voice is listed only as "Warship" in this episode's credits.
* The background music playing when Jack faces the manipulator arm is from the War for Cybertron video game.

There they find the frozen Megatron, and Jack discovers that the fuel injection valve is too large for them to operate.

Ratchet gives new-recovered Optimus the good news about the data they retrieved, but they realize they must act quickly, as the Nemesis is even now bearing down on Manhattan.
* How does Jack on the Nemesis talk to Rachet back at base without uses a cell phone. He appears to be using something in his ear to talk to Rachet, though we don't see his pushing anything in his ear.
* When stasis locked Megatron gets knocked over, how did he let go of the energon ejection valve? While one could argue it was gravity, when he hit the ground, his body remained stiff untill the effect wore off. Megatrons right arm even stayed in the air after he hit the ground.

* Fowler gets shocked into a delirious state, again.
* Though the Nemesis is established in Transformers: Exiles to be a stasis-locked Trypticon, its identity is left unstated here.

Transformers references
Real-world references
* The Nemesis's stasis beam uses the same sound effect of the Zat'ni'katel or Zat Gun from Stargate SG-1 which was, itself, a stunning weapon.

There they find the frozen Megatron, and Jack discovers that the fuel injection valve is too large for them to operate.

Ratchet gives new-recovered Optimus the good news about the data they retrieved, but they realize they must act quickly, as the Nemesis is even now bearing down on Manhattan.
