Logo Characters
I've been thinking that the characters who sit behind our logo on the main page are a little boring in my opinion. Now, I know this site is not aboutopinions, but why not put some dofferent characters up there? Secifically, high pofile figures such as G1 O.P. and megatron rather than The Fallen and the colorful guy from that BotCon. Maybe change ROTF Starscream into G1 Starscream but the former is pretty well known I guess. So what I'm trying to say is: why not replace some of the lesser known characters with better known ones? --Megatron Prime 18:07, 14 April 2011 (EDT)
: Thank you for your input. --ItsWalky 18:12, 14 April 2011 (EDT)
:Ask yourself, is it reasonable to turn the tfwiki into a G1 hagiography? If anything, the front page should convey tfwiki's mentality straight up, and that is that no shit is too minor and that Transformers is respected as a brand that knows how to adapt and keep going. Geewunling 02:08, 15 April 2011 (EDT)
:::My best understanding is characters who are presently relevant (ie upcoming or just-released fiction) are put in the rotation. Prime characters and BotCon 2011 characters, basically. I rather like the white/blue/red look we have now. Why? Because you can tell from a glance that we sure ain't that damn terrible Wikia site. == Fall of Cybertron in Nav Bar? ==

I'm thinking we should add Fall of Cybertron to the Nav Bar once all the pages relating to the games have been cleaned up from their current state (streamlined is the word, as there are too many useless pages to navigate relating to the FOC "franchise"). Also, maybe add some FOC characters to the cycling picture on the main page too. Dark of the Moon came out months ago, and sure the toyline is still going, but it's about to be replaced by the "Movie Trilogy" line. I say replace DOTM with FOC, or leave it and add FOC on a new slot. --Kaymac192 22:47, 19 December 2011 (EST)
: We can add FOC dudes to the cycling logo image once we have clean versions of them. As of now, we don't, probably because it's not coming out for another year. --ItsWalky 22:53, 19 December 2011 (EST)
:: I understand, but what of the Nav Bar? How many slots are allowed, or is it unlimited? I started wondering since I noticed WFC's slot got changed to Rescue Bots. And while that's well and good, perhaps FOC can have a slot, as we are getting more and more information each day it seems. --Kaymac192 22:57, 19 December 2011 (EST)
:::Potentially we can have as many as we like, with the caveat of course that stuff underneath gets moved down further. Would be cool maybe to change the skin to have collapsing sections like Wikipedia's Vector skin does. I'm all for adding a Fall of Cybertron link once the Fall of Cybertron pages are streamlined. --abates 21:36, 21 December 2011 (EST)
If anything, the front page should convey tfwiki's mentality straight up, and that is that no shit is too minor and that Transformers is respected as a brand that knows how to adapt and keep going. I'm not sure what it's called, but on the left hand side of the browser tab there is a little image of a G2 Autobot symbol. Before BotCon 2010 and its Generation 21: Redux that was a normal Autobot symbol. Is there any way to change it back to the original symbol? --Khajidha 16:11, 1 May 2012 (EDT)
Fall of Cybertron in Nav Bar?
I know I'm probably being a pain in the butt, but why every title in the "current releases" navbar is in quotation marks - except "Dark of the Moon" and "Switching Gears"? I'd change it, but since it's the main page, I'd rather ask first. Also, Happy New Year, guys. - Silvery 11:30, 31 December 2011 (EST)
:Kup is an Autobot from the War for Cybertron portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Kup always has advice for the youngsters. Always. Even in the middle of the worst firefight, with smoke and death all around, Kup is ready with a calmly-told tale with the right advice to get them out of a terrible situation. His incredible longevity and fearlessness in the face of Decepticon assault has given rise to the silly rumor that lasers just bounce off the veteran Autobot... and the less-silly rumor that he's just a little bit crazy.

Hot Shot isn't particularly fond of working with him.
Before departing for a mission to get some data links working again, a newly trained Autobot had a brief exchange with Kup over a communications monitor that consisted of the elderly Autobot uttering the universal greeting. Once the youth got the links up and running, he contacted Ironhide who told him he was being reassigned to Kup's team. The recruit looked forward to the exciting times he'd experience being on Kup's team. Transformers: War for Cybertron (DS)
: Part of the fifth wave of Prime: Robots in Disguise Deluxe Class toys, Sergeant Kup transforms into a large pickup truck of made-up model. He has twin cannons that peg into his forearms/doors, hands, and truck bed, and can also combine to form a longer weapon.

: He also has a "dramatic head reveal," wherein his head rises up from within his torso when his abdomen panel is slid up. He also features a fake kibble windshield on his chest, with the real front windshield ending up on his back.

: His stock photography depicts his cannon barrels with metallic gold paint operations that were omitted from the final product.

: He was later redecoed into Ironhide, which is not surprising as Kup appears to be a recolored Prime version of movie Ironhide.

: In wave six of the Prime toyline, Kup was put into new packaging, which came with a DVD featuring the Prime episode, "Loose Cannons".
Notes
* In the Nintendo DS version of War for Cybertron, Kup's only appearance is in an easter egg within the game. In the tutorial level, after speaking with Air Raid and Ratchet, walk over to the wall with three monitors on the right. Approach the middle monitor, and Kup appears for a chat.
* Whether the recruit survives to actually end up on Kup's squad depends on whether you're playing the Autobot or Decepticon variant of the game. The latter does not turn out well for him.

:Originally a pre-Transformers Diaclone Porsche 935 Turbo, Jazz was part of the original assortment of Autobots released in 1984. He transforms into a Martini Racing Porsche 935 Turbo, though like other Autobots who sported similar "sponsor" decals, Jazz's stickers deliberately misspell his sponsor as "Martinii". In robot mode, he is armed with a silver photon rifle and a shoulder-mounted, spring-loaded rocket launcher that can fire three silver missiles.

:Like all his 1984 brethren, Jazz gained a heat-activated rubsign in 1985, added to the right-hand side of his hood. That same year, Jazz was also made available as a mail-away exclusive from Cookie Crisp cereal; this edition of the figure featured modified stickers on its car doors that omitted the "Martinii" words, and entirely lacked the "Martinii Porsche" decals for the windshield and rear spoiler.

:Jazz was later reissued by Hasbro as part of the European and Australian Classics sub-line in 1990 and the The Transformers: Generation One Commemorative Series line in 2003, and by Takara/TakaraTomy as part of the The Transformers Collection (2002) and Transformers Encore (2008) lines. See entries below for more details.

:This mold was also used to make (the originally Japanese-exclusive) Stepper, later renamed Ricochet for Hasbro's reissue.
**Accessories: 2-piece Pretender shell, helmet, rifle, laser

: The first new toy since the original, Classic Pretender Jazz is a highly simplified version of his original toy, still transforming into a Porsche 935 Turbo. He is armed with a black gun (named only a "laser" in his instructions, but given the dramatic identifier of a "semi-automatic ion pulse gun" in his Tech Specs), which can mount on his roof in vehicle mode.

:Jazz's two-piece Pretender shell resembles a human in a blue and white armored space suit with a removable helmet. The shell is armed with a large black rifle (a "photon rifle", to be precise, according to his Tech Specs), and when Jazz is stored inside, it can also hold the smaller robot's laser, thanks to the weapon's multi-width peg.

:Available exclusively at American Kmart stores, the Legends version of Jazz is simply the inner robot of the Classic Pretender toy without the shell or its accessories, leaving him only a small handgun.... however, it happens to be Bumblebee's gun. (Legends Bumblebee has Pretender Jazz's gun.)
**Accessories: Laser

: In Japan, Legends Jazz was only available in a boxed "Hero Set" with the Legends versions of Bumblebee, Grimlock and Starscream. Jazz was identical to the Hasbro release.

: In Italy, GiG released their own version of the Hero Set, named "Set Commandos", instead of the Classic Pretender versions of the toys. Here, Jazz was named "Folgore", originally the Italian name of Hot Rod. The "Set Commandos" toys were identical to the Japanese "Hero Set" versions.

: Action Master Jazz's sculpt was based upon his cartoon model, but with some of the toy details added in. As with most Action Master figures, he cannot transform, but his Turbo Board partner can transform from a skateboard into a large blaster weapon. Jazz was part of the first wave of individual Action Master figures.

: There are reportedly several minor variations of this figure, all regarding the color of his headlights. Some have them unpainted, while others are light blue or greenish-blue.
:Jazz was reissued in Europe and Australia in 1990 as part of the Classics line. This version was identical to the original toy, with the exception of the missing "Martinii" logos on the door decals, like on the Cookie Crisp version. Unlike the Cookie Crisp version, however, this version did include the "Martinii Porsche" decals for the windshield and the rear spoiler.
**Accessories: "Photon Rifle", missile launcher, 2 missiles

:Generation 2 Jazz is a slight retool and (literal) repaint of the original toy. The chrome feet have been narrowed, omitting two tabs. His face (apparently degraded from mold usage) now has a strange unintentional smirk. His roof has been retooled with a small hole to accommodate his new bright green, spring-loaded missile launcher. All of his "Martinii" stickers have been replaced with various new stickers depicting his name and the number "1" laid over a rainbow-colored musical note.

:This mold became the basis for future reissues of Jazz, complete with his smirk.

: The missile launcher was not created for the Generation 2 line, but came from the Snow Serpent from the G.I. Joe toyline. The same launcher was used in the Generation 2 re-releases of Sideswipe and Onslaught.
*Jazz (Laser Cycle, 1995)

: A redeco of the Laser Cycle Road Rocket was planned as Jazz, but like many other planned late-1995 Generation 2 redecos, ultimately never saw release. Interestingly, many of these — including Jazz and fellow Laser Cycle redeco Soundwave — were solicited in various store catalogues, such as the Sears Wish Book. Some packaged samples of this toy do exist, but there are estimated to be less than a dozen in existence. Jazz would have transformed from a white, yellow and green Yamaha GTS1000 motorcycle, with an LED-lit arm-mounted buzzsaw that formed part of his rear wheel assembly in cycle mode.

: This mold was later retooled to make Robots in Disguise Sideways and Robot Masters Road Rocket.

* Meister (Transformers Collection, July 20 2002)
**ID number: 1
**Accessories: "Photon rifle", missile launcher, 3 missiles

: Jazz was the first entry in Takara's The Transformers Collection series of reissues, featuring collectable "book-box" packaging. The figure uses the retooled version of the Jazz mold used in Generation 2, with narrower feet, though the peg-hole in his roof has been removed. Continued degradation of the mold in the intervening years lead to further problems with the toy: in addition to the overall looseness of its joints, the toy's face is further deteriorated from the Generation 2 use of the mold, now displaying a gape-mouthed smirk (see inset in picture), and its roof and rear windows no longer align perfectly.

: In addition to these unfortunate, unintentional changes from the original, some intentional changes were made to the figure's stickers. The original toy's "Martinii" sponsor decals on his hood and door are modified to instead display his Japanese name, "Meister", while the "Martinii Porsche" decal across the top of his windshield now reads "Agent Meister".

: A second production run of this figure replaced the original toolings for the weapons with the modified versions that came with Hasbro's Commemorative Series reissue (see below).
**Accessories: "Photon Rifle", missile launcher, 3 missiles

: An e-HOBBY exclusive, this version of Jazz is almost entirely constructed of vacuum-metalized gold plastic. Fingerprints and chipping, ahoy! It uses the degraded mold of the Transformers Collection figure, and was only available in a set with the "Anime Version" redeco of Bluestreak. Both figures came in the generic red Autobot packaging shared by nearly all eHobby figures.

: Though this redeco resembles Jazz's electrum-covered appearance in the episode "The Golden Lagoon", this appears to be an unintentional coincidence; it is actually a recreation of an old Diaclone campaign prize.
The alignment problem with the roof and the rear windows has been fixed.

: The weapons have been heavily retooled for safety reasons: The chrome finish is missing, the missiles have been elongated and can only be inserted one way, the nub on the back of the launcher has also been elongated, the launcher barrel can come off the mount, and the trigger has been altered as well.
He transforms into a 1:64-scale Dodge Viper with Jazz's classic white Martini Racing colour scheme and livery. :Alternators Meister transforms into a highly accurate 1:24 scale white Mazda RX-8. He features an opening hood with engine, opening "suicide" doors and trunk with a realistic interior. In robot mode, he is sculpted to resemble both the original G1 Jazz toy and the G1 cartoon model. He is armed with a rifle that transforms from his muffler.

: Other than being partially constructed of die-cast metal, the Binaltech version of this mold differs from the Alternators version by paint covering all the car body parts and having a magnet assembly for the shoulders joining the front wheel axle (instead of a plastic insertion point). Furthermore, the Binaltech version's steering wheel is placed on the right side of the dashboard, whereas it's located on the left side on the Alternators version.
The speakers can also combine with his rifle via clips to form a super rifle, or they can be used on any other clip-compatible Transformers toy. ==Notes==

* The first toy planned for the Alternators line was Jazz as a Porsche 986. A prototype was made, but Porsche refused to grant Hasbro and Takara the license, stating that "Transformers are not worthy [of] carrying the Porsche trademark. They are war machines, and the toyline in no way represents the lifestyle and ideas which Porsche represents." As a consequence, the toy ultimately never went into production. Photos of the prototype were depicted in the Japanese book The Transformers: Binaltech & TF Collection Complete Guide, and Hasbro later also displayed the prototype during the 2007 Hasbro Tour.
* The Alternators Mazda RX-8 (which ultimately ended up as Meister) was originally intended to be named "Camshaft", according to various early store listings and a premature reply from Hasbro's customer service. This would also fit with the early idea of making the Alternators toys "direct updates" of their characters' G1 predecessors. A prototype was leaked to the public in early 2004 sporting the same basic colors as the later Alternators "Autobot Camshaft" toy (the Acura RSX), although it's uncertain whether the prototype colors for the RX-8 were supposed to be indicative of the proposed colors for Camshaft (since the Acura redeco was originally intended as a G1 Bluestreak homage before being renamed into "Autobot Camshaft"). The reason why the RX-8 Alternator was ultimately not named "Camshaft" was apparently because the real-life Mazda RX-8 car doesn't have a camshaft. The irony is staggering, as Camshaft's original toy was an RX-7, which ALSO lacks a camshaft.
* There have been at least two different reasons stated why the Hasbro toy was named "Meister" rather than "Autobot Jazz": For once, Hasbro was still hoping that Porsche would have a change of mind and grant them the license after all, as Chevrolet had done; also, Aaron Archer has been quoted stating that he thought a third toy named "Autobot someone" following "Autobot Hound" and "Autobot Tracks" would have been somewhat "redundant".

: An all-new Ironhide tooling that packs considerable accuracy into his small, simple design. Unlike the Voyager class toy, Legends Ironhide stores his cannons in the truck's bed. He comes with a desert scheme redeco of Legends class Blackout.

: Amusingly, this version of Ironhide is one of only two American toy releases that has full-length exhaust stacks. Also, there are many complaints about the fists sticking out of the back of the truck and the weird truck proportions.

Voyager Class toys
*Ironhide (Voyager Class, 2007)
**Japanese ID Number: MA-09
**Accessories: Left & right cannons, 4 missiles

:Ironhide transforms into a modified black 2006 GMC Topkick 4500 four-wheel drive pickup truck. Although Hasbro's official stock photos and early packaged samples featured two real-life accurate full length exhaust smokestacks behind the rear cabin, they have been slightly shortened for safety and durability reasons for the actual release of the toy. Otherwise, however, the vehicle mode is very accurate to the real prop truck... well, aside from the fact that Ironhide's massive missile launchers are quite visible underneath the vehicle. Despite rumors to the contrary, TakaraTomy's Japanese release of the toy features the same shortened smokestacks as the Hasbro version.

:Ironhide features an Automorph gimmick in his legs during transformation: As the user swings down his feet, all of the panels that make up his legs automatically shift and fold into place. This gimmick does not affect Ironhide's articulation. Confusingly, the instructions omit the exact positioning of the roof panels and rear window on his back, though they can fold into a compact design for maximum articulation.

:In robot mode, his arm-mounted cannons are inactive while mounted on both arms. However, detaching the left arm cannon and combining it with the right arm creates a huge functional missile launcher that is almost as big as Ironhide himself. The missile-launching mechanism itself isn't the typical spring-loaded button design, instead relying on a pressure-launch system to fire the missiles from the four barrels.

:The soles of his feet/truck bed are completely smooth and featureless, hiding his feet in truck mode. Unfortunately, the smooth soles also mean that his feet have trouble gripping most surfaces. This, combined with his loose above-the-knee swivels, means that he has trouble standing up in all but the stiffest of poses. The peg that holds his windshield is also prone to cracking, which makes it become loose, and might even result in breakage.
**Accessories: Left & right cannons, 4 missiles

:Released as part of the "Allspark Power" refresh of the Movie toyline, Offroad Ironhide is a fairly extensive redeco of Voyager class Ironhide in colors reminiscent of the Generation 2 Go-Bot Motormouth. As he's now made of several colors of plastic, he's no longer the most monochromatic toy in the 2007 Movie line.
**Accessories: Left & right cannons, 4 missiles

:Premium Ironhide is a redeco of the previous released Voyager class Ironhide, painted in a gloss black finish, silver trim on his smokestacks, Road Armor winch and side turn signal detailing, but with them are several inaccurate deco additions including silver detailing to the rims, frosted windows, silver paint on the roof ridges and a large Autobot sigil tampographed onto the hood.

:In robot mode Ironhide is considerably more accurate with gold and gunmetal detailing colors which were missing from the first Voyager release. His large cannons are now molded in mostly black plastic, then painted metallic teal with gold detailing.

:Part of the Fast Action Battlers line, "Cannon Blast" Ironhide is a simpler version of the larger toy, geared more towards the younger set who might find the big toy too complicated to transform. He still transforms into the customized GMC Topkick. He features a spring-loaded missile launcher in his left cannon. But, thanks to the simpler transformation, the hood and wheels trap his arms below the wheel. He can't punch or aim his cannon at all, and the elbows have no articulation but swiveling that knocks the arm off his body.

:A redeco of the Fast Action Battler Ironhide, this version sports a silver and blue color scheme that is both a reversal of the "Offroad" Ironhide Voyager figure... and seemingly an homage to the Generation 2 Go-Bots version of his Generation 1 counterpart, a redeco of Motormouth (see above). *Ironhide (Cyber Slammer, 2008)

:Cyber Slammers Ironhide is an amazingly cute GMC Topkick that transforms into an amazingly cute trigger happy weapons specialist. 'Slam' his robot mode down into car mode and he rolls along, slowly transforming back up into robot mode. Like most Cyber Slammers, Ironhide manages to cram most of his vehicle mode's major details into a compact, super-deformed version of that mode. Interestingly enough, this is the only pre-Revenge of the Fallen merchandise to feature Ironhide's scarred right eye.
**Accessories: Missile launcher cannon, energy cannon, projectile

: Revenge of the Fallen Voyager class Ironhide is a retool and redeco of the toy from the 2007 Transformers movie line, featuring a new grey colour scheme with some red pin stripes and a NEST logo on each of his doors, as well as having a more accurate, asymmetrical head.

: The original arm cannons have also been replaced by new, more accurate (and less gimmicky) cannons that can be connected together and mounted on top of Ironhide's truck bed cover. The large cannon features screwdriving firing action in which the barrel section twists forward before firing the missile. The small cannon can also retract its barrel and has a 5mm hole on its underside that allows it to plug into the peg on the large cannon like a scope if so desired. The smaller cannon can be swung down flush with the barrel of the larger cannon as well, evoking the giant missile launcher combo from the previous mold. The truck bed cover and arm mountings for Ironhide's cannons are unchanged from the 2007 version, so any voyager Ironhide can carry and use both the original and new weapons. Since the weapons can connect to each other, the figure (and all other uses of this mold) can hold these and the combined 2007 cannons at once. All four cannons can fit on his truck mode as well, the old ones underneath and the new ones on top.

: According to the box pictures and instructions, the small cannon is misassembled. The gray sliding shaft is actually reversed from the direction it is supposed to be facing. This doesn't affect anything, but can be easily fixed by loosening the screws on the black outer section, sliding out the shaft, then turning it around and putting it back in.

: A packaging variant determines whether the missile is loaded or unloaded in the box.
**Accessories: Assault rifle, mini-gun, knife A, knife B, bullbar/crossbow, cannon, spring-loaded cannon/crossbow, projectile

:Recon Ironhide is an extensive retool, replacing his doors with military Humvee-style armoured door panels, adding a roof/truck bed-mounted lighting rig/weapons rack and replacing his Road Armor fender with a massive bullbar that can be removed and combined with his spring-loaded cannon to form a crossbow weapon. Ironhide's traditional arm-mounted weapons have been replaced with the aforementioned spring-loaded cannon, a smaller static version of his right-arm mounted cannon, an assault rifle, a mini-gun, and two combat knives, one being short and serrated, the other being long and straight-edged.

:In one of the first intentional uses of the C joint system (if not the first), either knife can be attached to the front of the rifle to act as a bayonet, and the rifles and knives can be attached to his various bars and rails. The rifle and mini-gun can be pegged to the sides of his arm mounted cannons, and they can also peg into the main barrel of his static arm cannon.

:Think he's armed enough yet? Additionally, this retool of Ironhide includes a new head-sculpt featuring his battle mask.

:In response to the breakage issues concerning the windshield peg, all of Ironhide's (newly-tooled) windows are now cast in softer and more flexible opaque plastic, compared to the more rigid translucent plastic seen on previous versions of this toy.

Robot Replicas Ironhide is, like the others of the line, made of a rubbery PVC and features much more articulation than the average deluxe or voyager class toy. The figure features light blue paint on the cannons giving them a charged up appearance. The elbow joints are positioned in a way that prevents the arm from straightening but the figure is still quite pose-able, however, getting it to stand in most poses is a different story.
**Accessories: Automated Rocket Turret

:A new-sculpt Deluxe-sized figure of Ironhide, with a surprisingly complex transformation and an almost ridiculously movie-accurate (and surprisingly stable) robot mode. His smokestacks are of the long variety.

:The toy comes with a transforming weapon accessory, his missile turret from the Revenge of the Fallen video game. Sadly, this goes at the expense of a movie-accurate cannon for the left arm. The turret can stay attached to his arm when transforming back to his vehicle mode, thanks to a hard to notice joint on the other arm's cannon flipping open to allow more room, ensuring no chance of losing this accessory. In an undocumented feature, the turret can also attach to the back of Ironhide's vehicle mode by slotting two of its legs into two small holes on the truck bed, the third leg can them be positioned forward and slot into a groove on the back of the cab. This can be quite difficult, however, if (in another undocumented feature) you do not fully extend the turret's legs which are attached to a hinge which allows all 3 legs to fold down further than just pulling each one out individually; this allows for a greater range of movement and allows the turret to be aimed upwards. In one more undocumented feature, you can swivel his arm kibble around and use his smokestacks as guns. Interestingly, his hands can hold 5mm weapons, which means he can use Recon Ironhide's or MechTech weapons.

Japanese version
:The TakaraTomy Autobot Alliance release of this figure features a significant colouring change: Where Hasbro's release cast much of Ironhide's legs, feet, hands, shoulders and some joints in light blue, TakaraTomy's uses dark grey plastic.
**Accessories: 2 Cannons

: Cyberverse Commander Ironhide is a brand new mold, being much better in proportions and being more movie-accurate than his previous Legends-class figure. Unfortunately, the toy's attempt to accurately replicate Ironhide's angled hood-chest in robot mode has resulted in a very unsightly gap on the center of the hood in vehicle mode.

: His articulation has also improved significantly, as he's almost as articulated as his Deluxe-class figure. His arms don't swing out far enough in robot mode, although his upper arms can rotate and his elbows can bend in quite well to easily compensate for this.

: He comes with two cannons that can attach to the sides or top of his Topkick mode. One of his cannons has a C joint, allowing it to attach to the bed cover, and both cannons can combine into a larger weapon. In robot mode, he can attach his guns on the sides of his arms, his back, or hold them in his hands. The multi-barreled cannon features a free spinning barrel.
: This Target-exclusive Ironhide is a redeco of the Cyberverse Commander figure. He is now dark blue, has cyberglyphics on the hood and doors of his vehicle mode, and the tips of his multi-barreled cannon are painted gold, creating an overall effect somewhat similar to the 2008 "Offroad Ironhide." He comes in a two-pack with a redecoed Leadfoot.
**Accessories: 2 Cannons

: Another redeco of Cyberverse Commander Ironhide, this time exclusive to Toys"R"Us in a 4 pack with redecoes of Bumblebee (with APC), Crankcase, and Barricade. Ironhide is given a "Premium"-esque deco of his standard colors, with a matte-black finish and gold highlights. He's also something of the odd bot out of the set, with Crankcase and Barricade colored like MD Metro police, and Bumblebee given a damage deco on his front (to represent the damage done to one of the stunt cars playing Bumblebee when it collided with an actual DC police vehicle).

: With matching paint jobs (the dark grayish black and bronze are near perfect matches), it appears as if the APC was intended to go with Ironhide more so than Bumblebee.
**Accessories: Automated Rocket Turret

:This redeco of Deluxe class Ironhide is exclusive to Toys"R"Us' Mission Earth: The Scan Series, to represent him trans-scanning his vehicle mode. As such, nearly all of his vehicle mode parts (and thus, most of his robot mode) are cast in translucent clear plastic, with the rear of his vehicle mode being left unpainted, the middle having painted scan lines, and the front having a heavy amount of paint operations in order to cover the clear plastic.

:His packaging stock photography shows his legs as being cast in translucent plastic, when the final product has these cast in opaque gray plastic, possibly for durability reasons. Also, the white "scan" line on the vehicle sides in stock photos is directly vertical, whereas on the actual figure it is on an angle towards the front.
**Accessories: MechTech Booster/Particle Cannon

:Dark of the Moon Voyager class Ironhide is an all-new mold that is smaller, but more accurate, than previous Voyager class Ironhide toys.

:He comes with a large MechTech "Booster" that converts into a "Particle Cannon" by extending and spinning its barrels when the back is pressed. Twisting the knob at the back of the weapon when it is fully extended will lock it into place. The Booster/Particle Cannon (or any other MechTech weapon) can be attached to Ironhide via 5mm post MechTech ports on either side and on top of Ironhide's vehicle mode, as well as being held in his fists or mounted under his forearms via MechTech ports in robot mode. Additionally, the Booster/Particle Cannon itself features a Mechtech port on top of its housing. The cannons and weapons included with the previous Voyager class Ironhide toys can also be used with this figure.

:He has an Automorph gimmick on his vehicle front end/chest, wherein pushing it automatically deforms both halves of the front end into his chest, and pulling it reforms it back to the vehicle front end.

:This new mold also addresses the stability issues of previous Voyager Ironhides by giving his feet ball-jointed ankles and having the soles of his feet be more textured and rough, allowing it to stand up better. Unfortunately, the latter change results in unsightly gaps on the truck bed in vehicle mode. Oh well.

:The stock photo on the right has him mis-transformed. The vehicle mode panel kibble on his left leg has not been pegged in, his feet are backwards, and the tailgate pieces, normally folded into the soles of his feet, are left flipped out and sticking out from the back.

:The Japanese release comes packed with a character card and an accompanying transparent plastic card of his MechTech weapon for the MechTech Wars online game.
**Accessories: MechTech Booster/Particle Cannon
:Cannon Force Ironhide is a redeco of Dark of the Moon Voyager class Ironhide in a G1-inspired color scheme, with most of his black parts being cast in orange red. Specifically, the deco was based on Ken Christiansen's concept art for Prime Ironhide. His deco consists of the upper half of his vehicle being red and his lower half being painted a matte black, with an orange stripe running in-between. His MechTech weapon has been redecoed as well, with a cooler shade of gray for the housing, and black for the main cannon body.
Leader Class toys
**Japanese ID Number: DA16
**Accessories: Knife, leg-mounted removable spring-loaded cannon, one projectile

:This version of Ironhide is his first Leader Class toy and features all sorts of weaponry and other gimmicks.

:His main gimmick is his chest-mounted Cybertronian Blitz Cannon, which is activated when either the license plate panel (used as a lever) on his abdomen is flipped and pushed down (similarly to the Revenge of the Fallen Leader class Optimus Prime toy), or when a tall gray piece on the back-right of his head is pressed down. Two flaps on his abdomen open up, and a back-lit spinning cannon is deployed, lighting up his eyes as well as playing a rapid-fire shooting sound until the button is released, in which the cannon retracts back into his innards and a winding/powering-down sound is played.

:Ironhide's other lights and sounds gimmick is related to his head: when either the button on his chest or the lever on the back of his head are used, his mouthplate moves down, his eyes flash green and says the following the phrases, "Ironhide, here" and "Weapons ready". (He is not voiced by Jess Harnell, but by Lenny Panzica.) He also features cannons mounted on his arms/roof that pop out and deploy when each respective smokestack is pulled, and can be used in either vehicle or robot mode. There is also a small button behind the cabin that emits a (rather vague) sound of the vehicle driving and firing its cannons/ramming through obstacles when it is pressed. If the button is held down further, additional driving and engine revving sounds are emitted.

:Lastly, Ironhide has two weapons hidden in each of his legs. Opening the side of his left leg reveals and pops up a removable knife, whereas opening his right leg deploys a detachable spring-loaded cannon, either of which he can wield.

:Interestingly, he is more or less at scale with the various Human Alliance toys.

:Some units have the spring pushed and compressed too far back into the launcher, preventing the projectile from even shooting out. This can be fixed, but pulling and stretching the small spring further out while it is in the launcher may be rather difficult.

:The two of his hood halves also frequently detach from the ball joints they are mounted on during transformation, quite possibly for safety reasons.

:Despite being advertised as a MechTech figure, Leader class Ironhide's gimmicks are almost entirely unrelated to the interchangeable, spring-loaded MechTech weapons seen on most of the other Dark of the Moon MechTech toys. Besides his fists, the only two 5mm post/MechTech ports on Ironhide are the ones on the hood halves above his shoulders, which can only be accessed in robot mode.

:His box mentions "Automatic conversion sounds", yet no such sound plays during transformation. Additionally, he is mis-transformed in his stock photography, as his vehicle front-end chest is not connected to his faux-bumper grille, nor are the wheels angled into his chest.

:The Japanese release comes packed with a character card and an accompanying transparent plastic card of his arm cannons for the MechTech Wars online game, even though his arm cannons aren't actually MechTech weapons in the sense that they are removable weapons that can be given to other characters.
*GMC TopKick 4500 Ironhide Edition (2007)

:As reported at Edmunds, Monroe Truck Equipment, in association with Hasbro, released a GMC TopKick 4500 Ironhide special edition featuring most of the modifications made to the Ironhide vehicle props used in the movie, with the only difference being that the truck will retain its stock orange running lights (the movie used blue) and the large stock sideview mirrors.

:Sadly, installing a grumpy trigger-happy alien robot and deadly high-tech weaponry into the works is not part of the included modifications. Production on the GMC Topkick truck ceased when General Motors exited the medium-duty truck market in 2009. Ironhide's death in the third film is certainly not connected to this, not at all.
