Energon cartoon
Skyboom and the other component Mini-Cons of the Energon Saber had escaped the destruction of Mars City by Tidal Wave and Scorponok, and accompanied Optimus Prime's team when Alpha Q sent his forces to attack Earth. The Mini-Cons formed into the Energon Saber, allowing Kicker to beat up some Terrorcons, and was then wielded by Ironhide against Scorponok. Megatron's Sword Kicker would continue to call forth the Energon Saber throughout the rest of the series.
Skyboom and the other Energon Saber Mini-Cons waited with Kicker Jones in the lower levels of Ocean City for the arrival of Sharkticon, who was making a rather sad attempt to silently infiltrate the city. The three Mini-Cons formed the Energon Saber, and in Kicker's hands, sent Sharkticon back into the briny deep. Perspective

Teleportation is the ability to instantly transport matter from one place to another within a very short amount of time. In the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, such a power could be the key between victory and defeat.

Strange thing is, most Transformers who can teleport are total morons. Primus save us from idiots who can teleport.

Fiction
Generation 1
Skywarp possesses the ability to teleport. Though this would make him potentially deadly, without Megatron or Starscream to tell him what to do, he's useless, so his teleportation ability is not really a threat as far as the Autobots are concerned. Usually, he just uses it for immature pranks, such as pushing the other Decepticons down the stairs. Although the victim finds it unfunny, the other Decepticons enjoy it... because it's really funny.

Also, the Decepticons' space bridge was used to teleport troops and materials between Cybertron and Earth.

Beast Era
Beast Wars
While setting up a communication system, Cheetor accidentally found that when struck by lightning, they turned into a teleportation route between the Axalon and the Darksyde. Terrorsaur and Dinobot also discovered this, and Terrorsaur suggested that they use it to destroy both Optimus Primal and Megatron.

Dinobot ejected Terrorsaur through the waste system, then convinced Optimus to use the teleporter to send a bomb to the Darksyde.

Bad news was, both ships were on an energon vein that would explode catastrophically if either ship blew. So Cheetor deactivated the clamps that held it in place, and Terrorsaur then sent it into the air. Cheetor then used the teleporter to return to the Axalon, which also destroyed the communicators, destroying the teleportation system. Equal Measures
Megatron is back, and his mysterious dark powers give birth to two new threats!

Synopsis
In the sky above Cybertron, the deceased Megatron has reappeared as an ethereal image, his ghostly body enshrouded by an enigmatic black fog. Even Megatron himself is unaware of what has befallen him, but he impassively descends to the planet's surface as the Autobots look on. Override and the Cybertron Defense Team follow the spectral Decepticon's descent, and watch as he approaches Ransack and the fatally wounded Crumplezone. As he glides towards his former followers, a lone Scrapmetal crests a nearby building and starts firing at him. The creature only succeeds in drawing Megatron's attention, as its shots disappear into the fog surrounding him. The Scrapmetal lunges at Megatron instead, only to wind up being dissolved and absorbed by the mysterious mist. Megatron returns his attention to the fallen Crumplezone, and immerses the wounded Decepticon in his fog, repairing and reformatting him into a powerful new form. While Crumplezone puts his new power to use attacking his old racing rivals Override and Hot Shot, Megatron realizes that the black fog is a product of his Armor of Unicron, which has preserved him after his death-and made him stronger than ever!

Simultaneously, Safeguard informs Vector Prime that he has lost contact with the Recon Mini-Con Team, and the elderly Autobot returns to headquarters to investigate. Consulting the security recordings, he discovers that Sideways has kidnapped the Mini-Cons, and that the kids leapt through his warp field in pursuit. He informs Optimus Prime of this development, but Prime is caught up battling Scourge and can do nothing to help.

The other Autobots, meanwhile, are engaged in battles of their own. While Jetfire faces off against Thundercracker and his latest (surprisingly effective) "super move", and Crumplezone continues to harrass Override, the rest of the heroes are firing upon Megatron, to absolutely no effect. Seeing that the Decepticons have been galvanized by the return of their leader, Leobreaker is determined to take Megatron down, and lunges at him in lion mode. He slashes at the black fog with his Cyber Key-powered claws, which causes a very unexpected reaction: the fog recedes, and Megatron stands triumphantly before the Autobots, reborn! At Megatron's command, the last remnants of the fog surround Leobreaker, and although the Autobot is able to leap clear, the fog has taken from him what it needs, and coalesces into a dark duplicate of Leobreaker himself! Megatron introduces the dark clone as "Nemesis Breaker", explaining that he has been created from Leobreaker's own dark side. The two lion 'bots engage in a brief battle, which Megatron then stops so that he can reveal Nemesis Breaker's ultimate power: the ability to combine with Megatron in Dark Claw Mode!

At Autobot headquarters, Red Alert and Scattorshot have joined Vector Prime to try and help him track down the kids and Mini-Cons. Scattorshot complains about the fact that he gave Coby an Autobot communicator, and yet the boy is not using it. Little does Scattorshot realize, however, that using the communicator is paramount in Coby's mind—he's just having trouble getting his hands on it, as it and the kids are all floating around in zero gravity in Starscream's hideout!

Back on Cybertron, Optimus Prime breaks off his fight with Scourge and separates from Wing Saber so that he and Leobreaker can merge into Savage Claw Mode to battle Megatron and Nemesis Breaker. After a brief comedy interlude in which Hot Shot finally takes out the reborn Crumplezone (who, as it turns out, really isn't any tougher than he was before), the two leaders get down to business, and their Cyber Key-powered attacks collide in an explosion so indescribably massive that it can be seen from space. When Optimus comes to afterwards, he discovers that Megatron and the Decepticons have disappeared. Wing Saber is quick to locate the villains from the air: they have used the cover of the explosion to make a break for the Omega Lock! The Autobots transform and immediately give chase, and the race is on!
Differences with Galaxy Force
*Galaxy Force includes a "previously on" segment summarizing the events of "Balance".
*In Galaxy Force, despite it being the major plot point of the episode, with the script actively calling attention to how mysterious it is, the black fog is completely and totally unexplained. As usual, it's Cybertron to the rescue with a quick explanation that's neatly tied in to the established canon of the show: it's the "shadow spark" of Unicron, the power of the Armor of Unicron that Megatron wears. This even ties in very nicely with aspects of Unicron's power seen in previous Transformers fiction; that is to say, his power to reformat beings, as he does with Crumplezone, and create bodies, as with Nemesis Breaker.
*In Galaxy Force, Megatron notes that one of Leobreaker's dark thoughts from which Nemesis Breaker was created is his resentment of Optimus Prime for ignoring their combination and favoring Wing Saber instead. Cybertron omits this specific.
* In Cybertron, Vector Prime notes that Starscream's island base on Earth has been "cleared out". In Galaxy Force, the island is said to have actually collapsed.

Animation errors
* As Megatron's "ghost" descends on Cybertron at the beginning of the episode, Override and Scattorshot transform and head towards him. However, in the next scene, Override is seen with Hot Shot and Red Alert instead.
* Implausible viewpoints: The "security footage" reviewed by Vector Prime is just the final moments of the previous episode, which leads to some camera placement issues.
* A small animation cheat occurs as Ransack and the newly-minted Dark Crumplezone attack Hot Shot and Override. When the partners in grime charge the Autobots, they're in vehicle mode, but when Dark Crumplezone activates his "Dark Bazooka" attack, he's in robot mode! After the Autobots are blown into the distance, Ransack is also shown in robot mode, despite never being shown to transform. Not necessarily an error, but certainly a bit of laziness here.
* Speaking of bizarre animation, when Crumplezone sneers "What's the matter, Override?", a panel in his exhaust port clips in and out of the scene, making it seem like he's literally speaking through his rear!

Transformers references
*Wing Saber says that Megatron is making for the Omega Lock "like a 'bot outta Chaar"!

Real-world references
*Of course, Wing Saber's above mentioned quote also paraphrases the common turn of phrase, "like a bat out of hell".
*Megatron says "Let this be our last battlefield" when preparing to take on Optimus. This could be a reference to the Star Trek episode "Let This Be Your Last Battlefield."

Trivia
* This episode did not premiere until nearly five months after the previous one. By the time "Darkness" was finally aired, Cybertron had been relegated to the unenviable 6am "death slot" on Cartoon Network, where new episodes would premiere every weekday morning for the remainder of the month, bringing the series to a conclusion nearly a year after its Japanese broadcast ended.
* This episode would later be combined with "United", "Cybertron" and "Balance" to create the TV "movie" special, "Primus Unleashed".
* After reformatting Crumplezone, Megatron notes that he has remade him in his own image. This may possibly be the source of his ultimate goal in "End".
* While he is introduced a bit late in the game, more than halfway through the series, Nemesis Breaker, or something like him, must have been planned from the beginning, as evidenced by the combination ports in Megatron's arms.
* Despite being a redeco of Leobreaker, Nemesis Breaker has all-new stock footage sequences for combining with Megatron and activating Dark Claw Mode's Cyber Key power.
* Keeping up the whole "dark mirror" angle with Nemesis Breaker, the evil lion's transformation into arm mode is the reverse of Leobreaker's, first folding up his legs, detaching his forearms one at a time, then folding up his upper body, retracting his robot head, and finally attaching the new fist to the folded-up legs (the only part of the transformation similar to Leobreaker, for obvious reasons). Nemesis Breaker also replaces Megatron's left arm, as opposed to Leobreaker replacing Optimus' right arm.

Thunderwing strikes a delicate balance between calm composure and explosive rage. This rage is backed by an immensely powerful form, and he will not flinch at using this raw power when simple deceit and treachery fail him. His power is amplified further by his impressive Pretender shell, which is a virtually indestructible arsenal of weaponry.

Despite his position within the Decepticon ranks, Thunderwing wants to be admired and respected by his subordinates, but all too often he can be caught in a consuming obsession that leads him down the irreversible path of darkness. This capacity for obsession is both his strength and weakness, and his blindness to this fault both propels him to greatness and to tragedy. If he becomes at all aware of what horrors he's done, it's usually too late, and he's brought everything he holds dear to the brink of destruction.

Fiction
Marvel Comics continuity
noteukonly
A handful of Transformers are born with a natural affinity to the Creation Matrix. Though these special few are usually Autobots, Thunderwing was an exception. Thunderwing felt that the Matrix called to him, and believed that he would become the first Decepticon to possess it. Deadly Obsession

Early on in the war, he served at Fort Scyk. He became a protege of Fort commander Megadeath, who saw and encouraged the burning ambition within the lad, grooming Thunderwing as an asset and potential general for when he'd make a bid for leadership. For his part, Thunderwing thought Megadeath was utterly mental but also that he'd be his ticket to the top. He later soured on Megadeath when he viciously tortured the Magnificent Six, which Thunderwing felt was ill-fitting for such valiant enemies, and then Megadeath let himself and the whole of Stanix get nuked to slag anyway. The Magnificent Six!

Four million years later, with a vacuum in Decepticon high command, a driven Thunderwing rose quickly from relative obscurity to a command position in the ranks. He made a bid for full leadership of the Decepticons to the High Council, and they decided to test him with a hunting mission: Three Autobot prisoners were released on Earth, and Thunderwing was charged with chasing down and executing them on his own. While Playback and Horsepower did fall before his cyclone cannon, the last runner, Hosehead, was saved by his fellow Autobots Nightbeat and Siren. The Headmasters exploded the fuel core in Playback's corpse at close range to Thunderwing, nearly cooking him alive inside his own impenetrable Pretender shell. Shrieking in agony, Thunderwing plunged into the nearby surf. The Big Shutdown!

Thunderwing eventually rose from the waters, his still-cooling shell juxtaposed with the growing intensity of his rage at being beaten. Thunderwing lashed out at everything around him and very nearly destroyed a ship of his fellow Decepticons who had been sent to find him. As a duly appointed officer of the Decepticon High Council, Ruckus was sent to inform Thunderwing that his bid for leadership was not being rejected outright, but was still under review, and the Councilors had asked that he return to Cybertron. Instead, Thunderwing violently conscripted Ruckus and his team into joining him for an assault on the Ark in order to get revenge on Hosehead and his ilk. Rage! Thunderwing single-handedly blasted his way into the Ark and confronted Optimus Prime directly before Ruckus convinced him to save the fight for another day. Returning to Cybertron, Thunderwing was surprised to learn that the Decepticon High Council was impressed by his initiative and the strength of his vendetta, and so granted him full leadership of the Decepticons of Cybertron. Assault on the Ark!

One of Thunderwing's first actions on taking over Decepticon leadership was to abolish neutral territories, making places such as Maccadam's Old Oil House Decepticon-only establishments. Out to Lunch! Despite these movements, Lord Thunderwing became displeased with the growing success of the newly-rebuilt Jazz, Grimlock, and Bumblebee and their raiding of Decepticon fuel depositories. Fearing the Autobot resistance movement was gaining momentum, he ordered Bludgeon, Octopunch and Stranglehold, the Mayhem Attack Squad, to find and kill the Autobot Pretenders. Yesterday's Heroes!

When the Mayhem Attack Squad failed, Thunderwing became curious when teams of Autobots were subsequently ordered to search an area of space. Trailing a team on Pz-Zazz which included (again) Nightbeat, Hosehead, and Siren, he waited until the right moment to blast and capture them. Bird of Prey! As Thunderwing's Decepticons began trailing another team of Autobots on Cheyne (Backstreet, Dogfight, and Override), he subjected the captured first group to his Mind Leech machine. He learned from these torture sessions that the Autobots were scouring the universe for the lost Creation Matrix. Unfortunately, the second group was no closer to finding the Matrix either, and he left them to their own devices. Kings of the Wild Frontier His obsession with finding the Creation Matrix caused some concerns for the Decepticons under his command, and he even began attacking his own troops when accused of taking his personal quest too far. These outbursts began coming to a head when he found traces of Matrix energy in a sea monster on Pequod. Ruckus made the mistake of questioning his leader's growing obsession, and Thunderwing backhanded him into some equipment (unknowingly shorting out the Mind Leech which held their captive Autobots immobile). While his troops battled the Autobots searching there, he used his affinity for the Matrix to mind-link with the sea monster. Discovering that the Matrix was on Cameron's third moon, VsQs, he abandoned the battle, much to the growing frustration of his troops. Deadly Obsession

As it happened, between the revival of the Klud and the arrival of Thunderwing, the Creation Matrix had become warped. Thunderwing fought intensely with Bumblebee, Jazz, and Grimlock on VsQs, and they were overwhelmed not only by his vastly superior might, but by the strength of his desire to possess the Matrix. However, he and his troops were subdued by a Matrix Spawn, a darkly-evolved creature contaminated by the Matrix, allowing Bumblebee and the other Autobots to grab the Matrix and head for their ship. But when the Autobot shuttlecraft later arrived within the Ark, it was Thunderwing who emerged, in full possession of the Creation Matrix, enshrouded in its energies. Dark Creation

On board the Ark, Thunderwing savagely beat Optimus Prime, the latter of whom was afraid to return the violence in kind, in fear that the Matrix would be destroyed and their race would be doomed against Unicron. Waves of Autobots stormed against Thunderwing, ending in Landmine and others being killed or critically wounded. Quickly, the increasingly-evil Matrix took over Thunderwing, overpowering his thoughts and controlling his actions. After turning his power on his own troops, he had one final moment of clarity at what he had become, but it was too late. He was consumed. Nightbeat, Siren, and Hosehead, who Thunderwing had captured earlier, had escaped their constraints, and after releasing the bay doors, Thunderwing was harpooned to the shuttlecraft. The shuttle self-destructed and Thunderwing and the Creation Matrix were seemingly lost. All Fall Down (issue)

The Matrix, however, was made of sterner stuff, and after some time reactivated alongside Thunderwing's body and the Autobot shuttlecraft on Earth's Moon. Out of Time! As time passed, and though only the "barest spark remained," it healed Thunderwing's body, eventually allowing it to transform and escape the Moon. It (they) now hungered for revenge! The Void! (US)

Thunderwing, completely controlled by the Creation Matrix, arrived on Cybertron just as Unicron had attacked. Through Thunderwing, the Matrix continued to manifest as a frightening demon, which blasted Unicron and buried its tendrils within him. Though Unicron was momentarily stunned, once the Matrix revealed that it was now attempting to be a force of Evil, Unicron ripped the manifestation apart. Unicron has no equal in the arena of evil. Thunderwing's body fell in tatters, and the Matrix casing dropped to the planet below. On the Edge of Extinction!
Versions of Thunderwing, Scourge, Bludgeon, Dirge, and Galvatron from various devoured universes were sent by their master, Unicron, to prepare another universe for his coming. Porting into Decepticon Command Headquarters on Cybertron, Galvatron left Thunderwing and the others on Cybertron to accomplish their task. Worlds Collide, Part 1 of 4 Though they destroyed all of the Decepticons in their headquarters and established a network of space bridge portals, this universe's Megatron was not amongst their victims. Worlds Collide, Part 2 of 4
Traveling to Earth's Decepticon headquarters (but leaving Bludgeon behind on Cybertron to guard the portal), they found it momentarily abandoned, so Thunderwing suggested they hunt down this universe's Thrust to learn Megatron's location. Worlds Collide, Part 3 of 4 However, Thrust knew nothing, and they quickly returned to Decepticon Earth headquarters when Thunderwing detected that their space bridge nexus on Cybertron had been breached.
Seven hundred years ago, during the height of the Autobot-Decepticon war on Cybertron, Thunderwing was a Decepticon scientist who alerted both sides to the damage that the ongoing conflict was doing to their planet and the resultant danger of an impending catastrophic event. According to Bludgeon, his warnings were ignored, even by Jetfire.

Subsequently, Thunderwing took action on his own, subjecting himself to a "polydermal grafting" process of his own design, one that had previously been summarily rejected by Megatron as "unnatural" and "ill-conceived". This process of grafting tissue culled from living subjects onto a Transformer to create an armored symbiotic carapace somehow also appears to have made him the avatar of the very apocalypse he had warned against. The process drove Thunderwing insane but made him invulnerable; even the combined might of the Autobots and Decepticons couldn't stop him. In the end, he was swallowed whole by Cybertron itself, leaving the planet completely uninhabitable. Stormbringer issue 1

When Shockwave went missing, Megatron assigned Bludgeon to dig into his research and find out what he'd been doing. An indeterminate time later, Thunderwing's resting place was discovered by a group of Decepticons led by Bludgeon, who planned to continue where Thunderwing left off. Spotlight: Soundwave The project was completed in the present day, using a combination of "Ultra-Energon" (culled from Shockwave's research) and a set of imprinted commands. Stormbringer issue 2 Thunderwing was thus resurrected and immediately departed for Nebulos, following Bludgeon's plans to sacrifice that world to restore Cybertron somehow. There, Thunderwing was engaged by the Decepticon Infiltration team in place, which did not want to see Nebulos completely destroyed. After Thunderwing totaled Crankcase, Ruckus, Skullcruncher, and Roadgrabber, the survivors, Dreadwind, Darkwing, and Thrust, abandoned the planet, leaving Thunderwing alone. However, after the destruction of Bludgeon's control harness, Thunderwing changed course—back towards Cybertron. Stormbringer issue 3

There, he was attacked by Optimus Prime, the Wreckers, the Predacons, and reprogrammed Centurion drones. Jetfire revealed that enough punishment would eventually cause Thunderwing to drain most of his Energon reserves. However, Thunderwing revealed a third "Ultra" robot configuration. Thanks to the Wreckers, the Decepticons, the instability of Ultra Energon, and a speech/salvo combination from Optimus Prime, he was stopped dead in his tracks. His inanimate form was taken into custody by the Autobots. Stormbringer issue 4

Galvatron would later steal Thunderwing's body from Hound's detail of Autobots, in service of his master in the Dead Universe. Spotlight: Galvatron Since the Dead Universe Transformers can only spend a limited amount of time in the land of the living, they programmed Thunderwing to guard the cave entrance to the Nega-Core on planet Corata-Vaz. He easily batted away Hound's crew and Ultra Magnus, but did not pursue them, as his programming seemed to keep him on a leash that only includes the cave entrance. It did, however, allow Cyclonus the time he needed to escape. Spotlight: Cyclonus

The Wreckers later attempted to penetrate Thunderwing's defenses and reach the Nega-Core, but apparently had no more success than Ultra Magnus and company. Spotlight: Hardhead

Jetfire came up with the idea to try and take control of Thunderwing using Bludgeon's (apparently repaired) control harness. This alerted Jhiaxus, who activated Bludgeon (now under his control) to put a stop to it. Spotlight: Doubledealer

While Jetfire managed to halt Thunderwing in his tracks for a brief time, a visit from the Jhiaxus-controlled Bludgeon forced Jetfire to focus on other, more pressing issues. While the Wreckers were successful in disabling the Nega-Core, Thunderwing once again began to advance on them. Spotlight: Sideswipe

Wings of Honor
Thunderwing was captured by the Combaticons after being cornered and making an unsuccessful attempt to defend himself with what turned out to be a dud bomb. The Coming Storm: Part 3
:Thunderwing's inner robot transforms into a rather simple Cybertronic shuttlecraft. His Pretender shell also transforms into a starship mode of its own. The inner vehicle can be attached underneath the nose of the larger vehicle to create a combined starship mode. The inner robot is relatively generic in appearance (as with most Pretenders) while his outer Pretender shell resembles an alien warrior with Japanese Oni influences. The inner robot carries a small laser, while the shell is armed with two large blasters. All three of his guns can be mounted on his shell's vehicle mode. The large laser cannons can be mounted on the jet two different ways, either perpendicular or parallel to the wing undersides.
Notes
* Thunderwing only transformed out of his humanoid shell mode once in the entire United States run of the Marvel Comics series. Even then, it was into his non-combined shell-only jet mode, leaving no hint that he had a inner robot mode at all. The only time we see his inner robot mode is in his first appearance, the Marvel United Kingdom story, "The Big Shutdown!".
* Thunderwing's Marvel Comics appearances give him a four-barreled hand weapon that's completely fabricated, as it's not based on any of the toy's three guns. As with the melee weapons Bludgeon, Stranglehold, and Octopunch use in the comic, his four-barreled cannon likely originated from his unpublished character model.
* A phenomenon seen often in the Marvel United States material, Thunderwing suffered from color scheme shift. At first, he appears in colors that approximate his toy's layout as best as the printing process allowed. By the time he makes his biggest, most memorable appearances, much of his blacks, grays, and blues had been replaced by light greens.

*Hasbro photography of Thunderwing shows some plastic color differences from the final product. His shell's arms are the same purple as his guns instead of gray, and his inner robot's thighs are that purple as well, instead of the final toy's black. Black paint is applied to the shell's thighs differently, and the inner robot's forearms seem to be painted light gray. Additionally, the smaller robot is incapable of toting either of the larger guns in jet mode, as the peghole isn't large enough.
*Speaking of pegholes, both of Thunderwing's large guns have 5mm posts with holes in the center that can function very much like Powerlinxable pegs, which means one can store Mini-Cons on them, if one so desires.
*Fitting with Don Figueroa's method of making all of his robot designs able to be easily turned into toys, IDW Thunderwing's Ultra Mode is telegraphed by his kibble. An image in the Stormbringer's trade paperback's sketch section shows exactly how he transforms into it.
:Reflector is a Decepticon from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Reflector likes to watch. He lives (they live?) to observe anything and everything, from scenery, to wildlife, to architecture. But above all else, Reflector likes to watch his (their?) comrades, learn their dark secrets, and profit from them. Reflector is also very impressed with his (their) own abilities both in the fields of observation and blackmail.

Reflector is generally composed of three separate robots—Spectro, Spyglass and Viewfinder—who combine into the one single-lens-reflex camera altmode that is Reflector.

Fiction
Generation 1 cartoon continuity
The Transformers cartoon
:Voice actor: Chris Latta (English), Yoku Shioya (Japanese)

There's very little about Reflector that isn't unusual at best (or downright strange and unexplained at worst). He takes the form of three robots who all walk, talk and act with a single mind and voice. The three individual robots are never named; they are all simply "Reflector" and are all entirely identical, save for the lens aperture visible in the chest of the robot who forms the center of their camera mode. Although there are normally three Reflectors active at any one time (this being the number required to form their camera mode), there are documented instances of significantly more operating at once, and even cases where only one Reflector has been seen on its own. A clue to the mystery of the multiplying Reflectors was given during one battle for control of the Decepticons' space bridge: During this clash, a Reflector was seen colliding with one of its other components, which vanished in a flash of light, leaving only one Reflector robot standing in place of two. This Reflector then proceeded to collide with the remaining, third robot, and it too disappeared. Although never directly addressed by any characters and never displayed at any other time, this unusual instance suggests that Reflector is one robot capable of producing duplicates of himself, explaining the varying numbers of Reflector robots seen throughout the conflict on Earth. Divide and Conquer

Reflector was among the warriors who accompanied Megatron aboard the Decepticons' space cruiser during its assault on the Autobots' Ark four million years ago. When the Ark crashed on Earth, Reflector was entombed in stasis with the other Transformers and awoke with the other Decepticons on Earth in 1984. Withdrawing from the Ark, the Decepticons immediately set about constructing a temporary base for themselves, and Reflector and Thundercracker were assigned to patrol the perimeter. As they surveyed the desert landscape, Reflector expressed his disbelief that the Autobots had also survived the crash. Thundercracker then spotted something off in the distance, and Reflector transformed to camera mode so that Thundercracker could use him to zoom in on the mystery object. Reflector dispensed a Polaroid photograph of the truck that had caught their attention, and Thundercracker reported the intruder to Megatron as a possible Autobot (which it wasn't). More than Meets the Eye, Part 1

Reflector later battled the Autobot forces on an offshore oil rig, More than Meets the Eye, Part 1 and joined in the Decepticons' attack on Sherman Dam. Soon after, numerous Reflector robots were seen pillaging energy all across the world and helping stack energon cubes in the Ruby Crystal Mines of Burma. More than Meets the Eye, Part 2 Reflector participated in the battle royale with the Autobots shortly before the Decepticons' failed attempt at returning to Cybertron aboard a new space cruiser. More than Meets the Eye, Part 3

While the Decepticons were in the midst of testing their new intergalactic "space bridge" transport system, Reflector took part in two battles with the Autobots when the heroic robots tried to interfere with the test run. The battle ended badly when Megatron was sucked through the space bridge and back to Cybertron, Transport to Oblivion but Reflector seemed unfazed by the apparent loss of his leader, as he went on to carry out orders that had previously been given to him and began staking out the laboratory of antimatter researcher Doctor Alcazar. Using his photographic abilities to obtain the entry code for the laboratory's security system in secret, Reflector concluded his stakeout just as Megatron returned to Earth, and he quickly reported his findings to the Decepticon leader. Reflector subsequently followed Megatron back to the lab and entered the entry code for him, allowing the villains to enter the complex stealthily. Reflector was no doubt rather cheesed off to learn that his spying had been for naught when it turned out that Alcazar had gotten rid of the antimatter formula by transmitting it to Chip Chase. When the Decepticons acquired the formula from Chip, Reflector helped charge energon cubes with the antimatter they created, and then participated in the subsequent battle with the Autobots, which ended when the antimatter cubes Megatron was using to power himself threatened to overload. Roll for It

Reflector later worked with Starscream and Rumble on another attempt to transport energon cubes to Cybertron via the space bridge. In addition to the normal three Reflector robots, a fourth robot sharing their body type was present for this operation, and when Starscream required a pilot for the space bridge vessel, this unfortunate warrior was selected. He begged that he not be chosen, but his words fell on deaf ears as Starscream picked him up and dropped him into the transport craft. Fortunately for this robot, his piloting skills allowed him to traverse the space bridge, and he safely arrived on Cybertron with his energon payload.

A group of Autobots soon arrived to investigate the Decepticon goings-on, but Reflector was quick to act and dazzled them with a blinding flash from his central lens. The Autobots soon got themselves together, though, and Reflector was dispatched in the aforementioned colliding-and-disappearing incident. Reflector's component selves later took part in a Decepticon attack on Autobot Headquarters and were fired upon by Spike Witwicky, but the three robots were confident that the Earth germ couldn't hit all of them at once. Divide and Conquer

Reflector did most of the grunt work when the Decepticons sought to drain the energy of the Earth's core via a crystal shaft in the Arctic, operating machinery and gathering energon cubes. When their digging unearthed the frozen Autobot Skyfire, Reflector tried attacking the towering robot by running at him in a sort of cheerleader-pyramid formation, only to be—unsurprisingly—knocked to the ground with a swipe of Skyfire's arm. Fire in the Sky

Along with Soundwave and Laserbeak, Reflector gathered valuable intelligence on the Great Falls hydroelectric power station, and he took part in the attack that their information-gathering helped facilitate. S.O.S. Dinobots Soon after, Reflector went with the other Decepticons on a mission to Peru in another attempt to seize the power of the Earth's core. Fire on the Mountain Later still, Reflector was part of the Decepticon team who tried harnessing energy from an unstable meteorite. War of the Dinobots

When the Decepticons used their space bridge to pull Cybertron itself into Earth's orbit in order to reap the energy released by the natural disasters that would result, Reflector was at Megatron's side as the Decepticon leader watched the construction of a hydroelectric energy collector. When an unexpectedly strong tidal wave demolished the structure, Megatron and Reflector escaped aboard a transport ship, though Reflector was given pause to wonder on the fate of the Decepticons' human ally, Doctor Arkeville. The Ultimate Doom, Part 3 Cybertron was soon blasted out of Earth's proximity, but some robots of Reflector's body design were seen on the planet not long after, carrying the wounded Arkeville to a medical bay. Countdown to Extinction (episode)

After taking part in another energy-raiding attempt with the help of new arrivals the Insecticons, A Plague of Insecticons Reflector joined the other Decepticons in relinquishing his power chip rectifier to a machine that would transfer all of the Decepticons' special abilities to Megatron, enabling him to best Optimus Prime easily in a one-on-one duel. During the combat, Megatron employed Reflector's power to generate a brilliant flash of light to blind Optimus Prime. When Megatron's deception was exposed, Reflector and the other Decepticons were sent tumbling into a river of lava by the enraged Autobots. Heavy Metal War

Learning that the Autobots had transferred Spike's mind into a robot body, Megatron had Reflector watch over Autobot Headquarters, and his spying soon bore fruit when the unstable "Autobot Spike" came bursting through a wall and flew off. Reflector followed and summoned the other Decepticons to his position. Megatron proceeded to try and turn Spike against the Autobots, but the attempt ultimately ended in failure. Autobot Spike

Following the "Autobot Spike" affair, Reflector's role in the war suddenly began to drop off; he became less and less visible on the battlefield, and he was never heard to speak again. Throughout 1985, he was glimpsed only a few times: He joined in the Decepticons' attempt to conquer Washington, D.C., City of Steel he followed Megatron in an attempt to hijack a rocket, Attack of the Autobots and he clashed with the Insecticons over stolen electro-cells. Traitor A little later, he helped battle the Autobots for control of korlonium crystals. A Prime Problem After being absent for a prolonged period after this, Reflector reappeared as part of a group of Decepticons on the rampage in Great Britain, A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur's Court and soon after, he was among the Decepticons who coated themselves with electrum to cause havoc. The Golden Lagoon Reflector then disappeared from the field of battle for quite some time, returning for one final appearance that year, battling the mutinous Starscream and his Combaticons. Starscream's Brigade

Reflector put in his final, very brief appearances in 2005, when he could be spotted at both the Battle of Autobot City and the coronation of Starscream soon afterward. The Transformers: The Movie

{{note|The real-world reason behind Reflector's steady disappearance from the show lies with the troubled release of this toy, as discussed further down this article. In accordance with Hasbro's decision not to release the figure, the series story bible specifically discouraged writers from use of the character after season one ended.. Spyglass and Skywarp drew Soundwave's electronic attention, prompting Starscream and his communications officer to make an appearance at the Dam. As Skywarp rejected Starscream's rule, the other Reflector robots leapt out of hiding to attack the usurper. The battle quickly turned against Skywarp and Reflector, though, as Soundwave's sonic attack ripped Spectro apart, sending him over the edge of the dam and into stasis lock. Once Skywarp was disabled as well, Spyglass and Viewfinder wisely chose to abdicate to Starscream. Hardwired

The surviving two Reflector parts remained under Starscream's command only as long as necessary, and left Las Vegas with Megatron's splinter faction of Decepticons soon after their former leader returned to Earth. Annihilation After the Decepticons reunited, Reflector was instrumental in several attempts at blackmail and media manipulation against the President of the United States, first recording him whimpering helplessly in Megatron's massive hand during an attack on the White House, and later sending the media outlets footage of the U.S. Armed Forces attempting to assassinate Autobots AND Decepticons in the Nevada desert. Fusion (novel)

The three Reflector components were among the Transformers who crashed on Earth millions of years in the past, and upon being discovered by humans, they were reprogrammed to serve the terrorist organization Cobra. The Autobot Wheeljack eventually restored everyone's original programming, and the angry Reflector trio broke into Cobra's control center to teach the fleshlings a thing or two about messing with their heads. {{storylink|G.I. In a dark alternate future where the Decepticons had conquered Earth, three black Reflectors guarded human slaves imprisoned near a factory, but were killed by Ratchet, Tomax and Xamot. As this future was also full of multiple Sweeps, Insecticon swarms and Ravage packs, it is possible these Reflectors were some sort of clones. {{storylink|G.I. Spyglass was left behind, however, and was still trying to get off the planet three years later. New Arrivals, Old Encounters

Years later, the three Reflector units found themselves on a ship, which crashed on LV-117. Viewfinder was killed in the crash when a large piece of the bridge's canopy shattered and impaled him through the chest. Spectro and Spyglass survived and eventually they located Wheelie, who had previously crashed on the same planet and had been building an escape vessel with a friendly alien. They managed to hijack the vessel shortly before it launched by threatening to kill Wheelie's friend, but the tiny Autobot removed the safety catch from his energon converter before disembarking, causing it to explode violently shortly after takeoff. Spotlight: Wheelie
Alternity
Three Reflector units hailing from an unknown universal stream were among the minions serving under Megatron during his complicated, cross-dimensional war with the Autobot Alternity. This incarnation of Reflector was a Pretender, with each of his components able to disguise themselves as an ordinary-sized human being.

Reflector was dispatched to universal stream 905.0 Beta to search for the source of a new dimensional flux of previously unheard type. In their Pretender guises, the trio tracked the source of the disruption to the Otsuka Museum of Art, and found that it was a strange tablet. Reflector was about to make off with the tablet when he was accosted by Bumblebee and Elita Seven, and his components promptly dropped their Pretender forms to battle the little Autobot. Unfortunately for Reflector, he was no match for the unearthly powers of an Alternity: Bumblebee snatched the tablet away, and with a snap of his fingers, reduced Reflector to a nearly two-dimensional state. From across the dimensions, Megatron saw his minions collapse like paper, and lashed out with his tesseractal swords, destroying the museum and the tablet, and wounding Bumblebee. By the time Bumblebee came to, Reflector was long gone. The World Is Flat!

* Reflector (Mail-away, 1986/1987; wide release in Japan, 1985)
**Japanese ID number: 21
**Accessories: Spectro's "Shutter Gun", Viewfinder's "Lens Laser", Spyglass' "Optic Blaster", flash cube/missile launcher, 3 missiles, telephoto lens.

: Reflector was first sold in Japan in 1985 as an ordinary retail item. However, Hasbro delayed selling him in the US until 1986, and only then via mail-order from a direct-mail flyer promoting The Transformers: The Movie. (Oddly, this came just as the character was being fully phased out of the fiction.) The toy would be a common offering in pack-in flyers from then on, at a cost of $10 and two Robot Points.

: Reflector is composed of three distinct robots that combine to form a camera: Viewfinder as the central component with the lens, Spectro as the right-side component with the shutter button, and Spyglass as the left-side component with the flash. It includes a telephoto lens and old-style flashcube that doubles as a missile launcher, but of course, the Hasbro version has the spring-loaded mechanism neutered for safety reasons. Undocumented in the instructions is that the telephoto lens is supposed to fit onto Viewfinder's gun to reduce kibble.

: Reflector was one of the many characters represented by a small plastic decoy included with certain Transformers for a brief time. The decoy is based on the cartoon design of Viewfinder. ==Notes==

* Reflector was originally the "Camera Robo" from Takara's Micro Change sub-series of the New Microman line. The only noteworthy difference between the two releases, besides the whole missile-launcher-neuter-in-the-United-States thing, is that the Microman release has "MICROX" emblazoned on the center unit's decals instead of "REFLECTOR".

* Not so surprisingly, the Camera Robo was first designed as a single unit. Apparently, the primary designer of the final toy, and possibly this initial design, was mecha designer Shinji Aramaki, who designed the robots for Megazone 23 and Genesis Climber Mospeada.

* Reflector's role early in the cartoon makes it seem likely his toy was originally planned for inclusion in the original 1984 line. Why Hasbro decided not to release it so late in the game is unknown, as is the reason why they later reversed that decision to make it a viable mail-away.
Generation 1 cartoon
At an undetermined time period following the creation of the Headmasters and Targetmasters and the seeming defeat of Galvatron and Scorponok, Powermaster Optimus Prime spent a good deal of time relating Transformers stories to the human schoolboy Tommy Kennedy.

After a series of stories wherein he described the events of the battle with Unicron, Optimus Prime had to depart to attend an interstellar peace conference in the midst of a barrage of questions from Tommy. As he was blasting off, Prime declared "But until I return, I leave you with 'The Touch'!"

Following this, the music video for "The Touch" began, although how Tommy was able to view it in the barren wasteland where his meetings with Prime typically took place is unknown. The Transformers (cartoon)#Season 5

War for Cybertron
Before the war spread to Earth, and seemingly millions of years before Stan Bush would have even been born, the Decepticons were fighting the Autobots on Cybertron. Shockwave asked Soundwave to transform into his stationary music-playing mode and play a recording of "The Touch." The inspirational anthem emboldened Shockwave in battle, but annoyed Starscream. Shockwave informed Starscream that the Air Commander could select the music when his hit percentage exceeded Shockwave's.
Trivia
*"The Touch" was originally written for the 1986 Sylvester Stallone movie Cobra, but the record company decided to switch it to the Transformers movie instead.
*In 2007, Bush recorded a new, updated version of "The Touch" together with "Till All Are One (Transformers Theme)" in a bid to get them onto the live-action movie's soundtrack. It didn't work, but Bush released them both as bonus tracks on his own album In This Life.
*In 2008, Bush launched a campaign to have the song included on one of the Guitar Hero or Rock Band games. It wasn't long before he announced the campaign's success, with the 2007 version of "The Touch" hitting Guitar Hero: World Tour as free downloadable content.
*As part of the media hype building up to the release of Revenge of the Fallen, Bush released another reworked version of the song, this time with a more contemporary Linkin Park-inspired sound, renamed "The Touch: Sam's Theme". This is notable because, while completely unsanctioned or unrequested by Hasbro or Dreamworks, it is totally hilarious.
*"The Touch" has reappeared in numerous non-Transformers productions over the years, including the film Boogie Nights, the television series Chuck and even in American Dad!.
*It is @#$%ing awesome!

:Override is a Velocitron Autobot from the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Override is the best racer on Velocitron, and as such is the leader of the planet. She seemingly embodies the culture itself; she is quick-witted, decisive, self-sure and always looking for a challenge. This has its upsides and downsides: while she's brave and determined with a never-give-up attitude, she can also be cocky to the point of arrogant, if not selfish and shortsighted. She entered the great race for leadership by lying about her gender and posing as a male, and has been defending her title and proving herself more than a match for anyone since.

After contact with the Autobots from Cybertron, particularly Hot Shot and Optimus Prime, she has matured into a more careful, more compassionate robot, less focused on being the best racer and more focused on being the best leader for her people... though she still maintains her never-lose attitude and love of high-speed challenges.

She has developed a close bond with the human girl Lori, referring to her as "Little Sister", which Lori reciprocates by calling Override "Big Sister".

During a regular race on Velocitron, Override was making everyone else eat her dust when suddenly, someone was blocking her way. She drove right at him but he wouldn't move so she had to transform. Megatron introduced himslef to her asking where he could find Override, the leader of the planet. He had found her. He asked where he could find the Cyber Planet Key so she challenged him to a race to get that info. He accepted and even though it was a photo finish, she still won. She told him she didn't really know about the key and just wanted to race so he told her he'd tell her all about it next time they race. Space

Later on top of a mountain with a flat top that had a race track she always goes to, Megatron was questioning her about the Cyber Planet Key again but she told him she didn't know anything about it. He promised to give her a great reward if she helped him find it but she didn't think he could do that since the most valuable thing on Velocitron is the Planet Cup which she had already won. Megatron believed this may be the key they were looking for. It was settled that if Megatron could beat her in a race she would give him the cup. As soon as the race started another racer joined in and he was also looking for the key. Megatron warned her that he was part of an evil organisation while the other racer tried to convince her that Megatron was part of the real evil organisation. However she didn't care and just wanted to see if they could beat her in a race or not. Override managed to stay in the lead as whenever Megatron tried to boost faster he hit the edge of the track. Hot Shot almost won but Crumplezone shot two missiles at him which, although they missed, made him lose so Override won. She was so angry at him and Ransack for ruining her race that she almost ran them over, so they ran away. Override complimented Hot Shot on how fast he was and said they could talk about the key next time they race and warned him he wouldn't win that one either. Rush
Their next race started soon after. As Clocker started the race by saying "Go!" Hot Shot jumped into the race but Override waited, much to the annoyance of Clocker, said that a lady never rushes and started while Hot Shot was already into the race. She was much faster than him and believed he needed a head start and was still winning regardless. Hot Shot suddenly managed to summon a Cyber Key and was beating her, but crashed quickly and fell off the race track. Override looked forward to racing him again. Speed Later, she found Ransack and Crumplezone with a velocitronian who they had knocked down. They told her he had fallen down and they were helping him up but she didn't believe them and was going to help him up, but he told her he didn't want her help so she drove away. Search
Override led the crew of the Star Arrow, which was carrying an experimental Force Chip. The Star Arrow was attacked above Sandokan and crashed on the surface. The crew encountered Synthos, a scrap-monster powered by the Dark Heart. Override and the other Autobots fled from the monster and hid until Astrotrain attacked. When Astrotrain captured the Force Chip and headed towards Synthos, Override followed. She sought to prevent Synthos' Dark Heart from falling into Decpticon hands, but also desired to save the sentient scrap monster. The Autobots captured the Decepticon shuttle that carried Cannonball into battle and used it to capture him, Astrotrain, and the other Decepticons. After depositing them on the other side of the continent, the Autobots fled to Cybertron with the recaptured Force Chip. The Dark Heart of Sandokan
*Override (Deluxe class, 2005)
**Accessories: Engine-blaster, Speed Planet Cyber Planet Key

: Part of the Speed Planet theme, Override transforms into a sleek futuristic race car. Plugging a Cyber Planet Key into the rear portion of her car mode causes two non-firing blasters to flip out into attack position; this assembly becomes a hand-weapon for robot mode, and can also store on her back. Override's transformation is partially spring-loaded; pressing her black "front bumper" automatically flips her torso and arms into position, requiring only her lower body and backpack to be manually configured. She came with a gold-bordered Velocitron-style Cyber Planet Key.

: There are a few small deco changes between the Hasbro and Takara versions of the toy; Takara's has a gold face, black paint on the chest intakes and blue stripes on the thighs while Hasbro's has an orange face, an Autobot faction sigil on the left side of her chest, a less prominent stripe pattern on the inside shins and gives her Key the Key code "dy7p".

: This version of Override also was available in two different store-exclusive multi-packs. The first was a Wal-Mart set, including the Cybertron-series Tiny Tin version of the Race Mini-Con Team member Mirage. The second was a Target-exclusive "Drag Race" (...yeah, there's a joke there) set with Hot Shot.
: This mold was used to make the evil clone Dark Nitro Convoy.

: Override's first toy was redecoed into a non-show coloration, replacing her white for a light gray, and gaining more black in her scheme. She still came with a gold -bordered Velocitron Cyber Planet Key, though this one has the Key code "dj9n".

: Early solicitations for this toy used the name "Double Clutch", suggesting that at one time, it might have been under consideration as being a new character. However, the first true Hasbro announcement of the toy at 2005 was that it was Override again.

: This toy was repurposed into "Shattered Glass" Elita-One.
* Although actress Lisa Ann Beley is the only one to receive credit as the English voice of Override in the credits of the show itself, the character's voice actually continuously changes back and forth between Beley and the uncredited Nicole Oliver. Beley's performance has a little bit of a harder edge to it, but overall, it takes a very experienced ear to pick out the differences, to the point that it took four years after the show had aired for anyone to realize!

* Override's robot-mode CGI model appears in the viewscreen of the Hasbro version of the Real Gear Robots toy Zoom Out 25X.

* Override's alternate mode of a futuristic race car, as well as its red and white color scheme, evokes the Mach 5 from the Speed Racer series.

* In Cybertron, Lori and Override refer to each other affectionately as "big sister"/"little sister". Being male, Galaxy Force Nitro Convoy's relationship with Lori is slightly different; he refers to Lori as what essentially translates to "little miss".

* In the Hungarian dub, Override is both male and female. Don't think about that too hard.

* Many fans believe that she and Hot Shot have a thing for each other, though this is never confirmed nor denied within the series.

The Autobots are one of the primary factions in the Transformers mythos. They usually find themselves defending both their own race and other species against the Decepticons and upholding justice and freedom throughout the galaxy.

They are considered "the good guys" in most, but not in all Transformers stories.

A generally heroic, honorable group, they tend to be dedicated to peace, and feel a need to protect other races from the Decepticons. As a result, they are usually Transformers who change into non-combat oriented alternate modes such as domestic vehicles, cars, trucks, or rescue vehicles. This is not always the case, however, as their ranks certainly contain ne'er-do-wells, malcontents, and unsavory types, and the necessities of war have led many to adopt more combat-oriented alternate forms. While the Autobots have usually found themselves outnumbered by the Decepticons, the Autobots have always had home-field advantage, having not only the humans' military support, but also having more places on Earth to fall back on, while the Decepticons are entirely unwelcome on Earth.

Key concepts that repeat throughout most continuities are the use of the name Prime (or a variation thereof) to denote Autobot leadership, and the existence of an artifact of great life-giving power, usually referred to as a "Matrix", traditionally held by their leader.

The collective noun for Autobots (like pride of lions, murder of crows, or bewilderment of Architects) is an "exaltation."
Generation 1 / Beast Era
Marvel comics continuity
Generation 1 comics
In the beginning Primus created the Transformers, a race of living robots that could change their bodies into the likeness of weapons, vehicles, and machinery, and all Transformers were Autobots, and he saw that they were good. The Autobot symbol (or Autobrand as it is sometimes called) was based on the face of the Last Autobot, the sleeping guardian Primus left for the day when his plans came to fruition.

At first Autobot numbers were small (a mere 13 began things), but through budding they expanded their race to fill the planet. When the correct level of population was reached, a mechanism triggered and memory of the process was wiped from the Transformers minds. At some point in these early days Unicron was able to reach through the mental link he shared with Primus and sow the seeds of corruption in a few Autobots, though this dark cult of Unicron would not bear fruit for a long time.

Eons passed in relative peace. Autobot society formed its own traditions, institutions, city-states and politics. From a human perspective this society resembled that of ancient Rome. Senators and Emirates governed wisely or corruptly, priests worshipped Primus and passed his holy Matrix to the chosen bearer (the lineage: Prima to Prime Nova, Prime Nova to Sentinel Prime), gladiatorial games were held for sport and entertainment, and above it all the Overlords ruled.

It was only with the advent of Megatron at the end of the Golden Age, coinciding with the death of the last hereditary Overlord, and the subsequent rise of the Decepticons, that the words "Autobot" and "Transformer" ceased being necessary synonyms and the population was divided by war.

In the early days of the war the Autobots were overwhelmed by the Decepticon war machine. They fell back again and again and for a while it looked like the war would be quickly lost... and then a young warrior rose from their ranks and rallied the troops to fight back. He made his reputation by denying Megatron access to the Underbase, soon rose to command the Autobots' elite air corps, and then, at last, was granted full command of all Autobot armies. Optimus Prime had turned the tide, and under his leadership the Autobots fought back until Megatron's war machine was stalled out and stalemated.

The war ground on until Autobot scientists detected that their planet's path was going to pass through a deadly asteroid belt. Putting the planet-wide conflict aside for the moment they turned their attention to planetary salvation and the Ark was built.

Optimus and a crew of his best soldiers took the Ark into space and cleared a path for the planet through the asteroid field. Unfortunately with their power depleted from that Herculean task they were then ambushed by Megatron and his Decepticons. The crews of both ships were lost to history.

Without Megatron or Prime the pace of the war slowed considerably. Still, fighting continued and both sides dug in for a long bitter struggle. In Prime’s absence Emirate Xaaron led the Autobot forces in their struggle to retake their homeworld.

The next four million years passed quickly (as it is wont to do) and without any major alteration (only a general degradation) of the situation. Finally news came to Cybertron: Optimus Prime and his forces lived! Yet this news came at a steep price, as it meant a new front had opened in the war. Optimus Prime and his forces fought the Decepticons on the distant world of Earth, while Xaaron, his Wreckers, and others carried on the war for Cybertron.

Despite Prime's dedication to protecting Earth, Autobot/Human relations were not good. Humanity viewed all Transformers as threats and attacked any they discovered regardless of faction. Industrialist G.B. Blackrock tried to inform the public that there were two factions, with the Autobots being the benign faction, but the Intelligence and Information Institute, the government agency tasked with countering the Transformers, was either unable or unwilling to distinguish between factions.

Not long after his survival was discovered, tragedy struck and Optimus Prime was killed on Earth. The Dinobot commander Grimlock took on the leadership of Prime's soldiers, though he favored the abandonment of Earth and a renewed focus on Cybertron.

At roughly the same time, the great Autobot warrior Fortress Maximus reached an important decision. He was tired of the war and if he could not end it he would leave it behind. Gathering a large following of likeminded warriors he left Cybertron for the world of Nebulos in hopes of a new and peaceful life. This was not to be. Decepticons followed Maximus and opened a third front to the war. In the end both factions abandoned Nebulos and Maximus led them to Earth to unite with the forces under Optimus Prime.

However, when they arrived they discovered Prime dead and Grimlock less than welcoming. Grimlock and Maximus attempted to establish a single Autobot leader with trial by combat, but were interrupted by a devastating Decepticon attack. The upside of it all was that they ended up putting their differences aside and Optimus Prime was soon reborn to take up leadership of the Earth-based forces once again.

Not long after, a dimensional transporter accident led to the rediscovery and accidental disturbance of Primus deep in the center of Cybertron. The Autobots learned that their ancient myths about Primus were the truth, and Unicron was now coming for them. Since the Creation Matrix had been lost and corrupted, Optimus Prime offered the Autobots' unconditional surrender to the Decepticons in the hopes that this would lead the two factions to stand together against the coming threat. It did, and the Matrix was retrieved and purified in time to stop Unicron. Both Optimus Prime and Emirate Xaaron were killed in the battle, and Grimlock ascended to Autobot leadership again, this time over all Autobots.

The alliance with the Decepticons would be short lived. Cybertron appeared to be destroying itself and the Decepticons betrayed the Autobots, leaving them to die with their world. Grimlock’s leadership led to the Autobots escaping that trap, and walking right into a different one. Oops. Thankfully, the awakening of the Last Autobot saved Cybertron and led to the rebirth of Optimus Prime, who reclaimed Autobot leadership and beat the Decepticons once and for all.

(From this point both the Marvel Generation 2 and the Fun Publication's Classics comics continue the story in separate and mutually exclusive directions.)

Generation 2 comic
The war finally over, most of the Autobots retired to the revived and prosperous Cybertron. It wasn't to last. Grimlock led a crew of Autobots not ready to take a vacation and put their feet up to try and track down any remaining Decepticon trouble. They found more than they could imagine as they discovered a vast and militant Empire constructed across the stars by Decepticons who left Cybertron long ago.

At the same time, Megatron reared his head again on Earth and soon the surviving Decepticons from the end of the war joined him, intent on restarting the war on Earth. It was not long before Decepticons and Autobots were teamed up against the forces of the Cybertronian Empire. Though this new conflict never touched the revived Cybertron, Earth was devastated by it. The Bot/Con alliance won, but how long this new alliance would last and what new threats awaited remained a question.

The Autobots originated as non-living machines, specifically the Quintessons' domestic slave robot line. The Autobot symbol was in fact the original Quintesson slave brand. They generally have blue glowing optics. (Though the series did not always abide by it, there was some attempt to establish the fact that Autobots could not fly unaided in robot mode while the Decepticons generally could).

Having achieved sentience and emotion against their creator's expectations, they rebelled and together with the Quintessons' military hardware (the future Decepticons) achieved freedom and kicked their masters to the curb. (Of note: no Decepticons are seen in the bits of the rebellion we are witness to, but it is presumed they took part nonetheless.)

For a time peace reigned. But the military hardware grew restless and eventually declared war on their peace-loving brothers and sisters. During this dark time many ships of Autobot refugees left Cybertron to try to form peaceful colonies elsewhere in the universe.

Eventually the millitary robots were defeated when the Autobots invented the art of transforming. A new peace settled over Cybertron and what became known as the Golden Age began. This age was characterized by peace, prosperity, and an abundance of energy such that the metal of the whole planet literally glowed golden with its power. Guardian robots patrolled the planet and helped keep the peace.

But eventually the Decepticons acquired the art of transforming as well. Megatron was born and under his leadership they rose up against the Autobots once more. U-Haul Robot was killed by Megatron and passed the Matrix of Leadership to Alpha Trion who held it safe until a young robot named Orion Pax was injured in one of Megatron's raids and rebuilt by Trion into the first of a new breed of Autobots specifically designed to combat the Decepticons. Thus Optimus Prime was born and under his leadership the Decepticons were stalemated.

The war raged on and eventually drained the entire planet of its once-rich sources of energy, leaving it a damaged, burnt-out gray husk of its former self. With no other choice the Autobots constructed the Ark, designed to fly Optimus Prime and his comrades to other planets in the search for new sources of energy.

The Ark launch bay was attacked just prior to lift-off and the Female Autobots under the command of Elita One vanished in the explosions. They were presumed destroyed by both sides, but actually survived to continue underground operations against Shockwave's regime on Cybertron.

Ambushed by the Decepticons, the Ark crashed into a nearby planet, named Earth. Crashing into a volcano, the impact rendered all the passengers, including members of both factions, into stasis lock. They were brought back online when the volcano erupted, and immediately resumed combat, this time on Earth.

The Autobots dedicated themselves to protecting Earth and its inhabitants from Megatron's forces. Their relationship with Earth's human governments and population were generally positive and mutually beneficial.

By 2005, the Decepticons had driven the Autobots from Cybertron, and they were now forced to operate out of two bases on Cybertron's moons with a reserve force at Autobot City on Earth. The Decepticons hijacked a supply shuttle, laying siege to Autobot City. The battle saw the deaths of many Autobots, including Optimus Prime, who in turn passed the Matrix of Leadership to Ultra Magnus. However, Unicron arrived and devoured the two moons. Megatron, who had been reformatted into Galvatron, stole the Matrix from Magnus, intending to use it against Unicron. Galvatron could not open the Matrix, and Unicron proceeded to attack Cybertron, decimating the Decepticon forces on the planet. However, the young Autobot Hot Rod managed to take the Matrix from Galvatron, causing him to become Rodimus Prime. He opened the Matrix, causing Unicron's body to self destruct. Leaderless, the Decepticons fled the planet, and the Autobots reclaimed Cybertron.

The Autobots remained in control of Cybertron for the next few years, slowly working to revitalize their homeworld. They fairly easily fought off feints by the Quintessons and the remaining Decepticon forces. Eventually Optimus Prime was revived and resumed Autobot leadership. It wasn't until Galvatron launched an all out attack on Cybertron's Plasma Energy Chamber that the balance again threatened to tip the Decepticons' way. Thankfully it turned out all had been arranged by Vector Sigma to set in motion the repowering of Cybertron. The Decepticons were defeated, and Cybertron glowed golden with energy reborn at last.

(Note: in Japan, during Transformers 2010, the Cybertrons who transformed into automobiles were referred to as a subgroup of the faction called "Autobots".)
However, the great figures did eventually decide to fight once more at Omega Point, an event which erased much of the timeline they had come from. The Autobots arose as the group who sided with Sentinel Prime and the Council of Ancients and opposed Megatron's desire for the conquest of Cybertron, but their inexperience with warfare led to a serious tactical disadvantage. Sentinel Prime led the war effort for half a million years, until Megatron killed him in combat, hoping to secure the Matrix from him. Sentinel's successor, Optimus Prime, originally decided to evacuate Cybertron, fearing that, even if the Autobots won, Cybertron would be a wasteland. However, a subsequent encounter between Optimus Prime and Megatron, where he learned of the planetary engines the Decepticon leader hoped to power with the Matrix, convinced Prime to remain on Cybertron. The War Within

Later, Optimus Prime and Megatron disappeared in a space bridge explosion. Without strong leadership, both sides degenerated into factions. The Wreckers and the Lightning Strike Coalition broke off from the main Autobot army, which was led by Prowl The War Within: The Dark Ages. After Ultra Magnus took control of the Autobots, he reunified the factions, and manage to negotiate a cease-fire with Shockwave's Decepticons and Ratbat's Ultracons. However, Starscream's Predacons made a last ditch assault, and Megatron suddenly returned leading the Aerospace Extermination Squadron, an army of Seeker drones created by the Quintessons. Megatron managed to conquer Cybertron, forcing most of the Autobots into slavery and the escapees into hiding. The period of Autobot enslavement ended when Optimus Prime returned to Cybertron and the Air Warriors were destroyed. We don't know how. War Within: The Age of Wrath

Four million years before humans arose, Cybertron was threatened by a massive asteroid. The Autobots developed the Ark to destroy the asteroid. They were successful, but Megatron attacked with the Nemesis. Both ships crashed on Earth, with both crews aboard the Ark. On Cybertron, Ultra Magnus and Fortress Maximus worked to keep the Autobots from splitting up again. With energon growing scarce, Magnus agreed to work with Shockwave to create the Micromasters, downsized Transformers intended for better fuel efficiency. Magnus also launched Operation: Containment, a twofold program intended to prevent the Decepticons from threatening other planets and locating the Ark. Micromasters However, with the Great Shutdown, all Transformers entered a period of enforced stasis lock. Shockwave was the first to be reactivated, and made peace with the Autobots, installing himself as Head of State with an Autobot High Council as a legislature.

On Earth, the Autobots on the Ark awoke in 1984. Cut off from Cybertron, and seeing that a sentient species had evolved around them, the Autobots resolved to defend Earth from the Decepticons. Over the next fifteen years, the Autobots were largely successful at preventing a Decepticon conquest, while also befriending the Witwicky family. Eventually, the Autobots allied with the humans and defeated the Decepticons, capturing them. However, rogue elements of the United States Military, apparently being manipulated by Shockwave, sabotaged the Ark II, capturing several Autobots and most of the Decepticons, until the chief scientist, Adam Rook, went rogue and set himself up as an arms dealer. Robert Hallo, the original mastermind of the conspiracy, used Spike Witwicky to reactivate Optimus Prime, who revived the Autobots and stopped a reactivated Megatron. Prime Directive A year later, Shockwave came to tie up loose ends and acquire the Matrix from Prime. A rebel Autobot cell managed to rescue Prime, who united the other resistance groups, and Shockwave was overthrown, bringing Cybertron under Autobot control. War and Peace

IDW Generation 1 comic
ongoing
In somewhat of a twist from other continuities, the early Autobots in IDW's universe were less noble than their counterparts from the others. Millions of years ago, the Autobots were a police force appointed by the senate. The senate grew corrupt and their Autobot enforcers were seen as little more than thugs. During the closure of an energon-mining facility, an outspoken miner was beaten to death by an Autobot guard. This sparked a riot, causing the Autobot unit to take even more lives. Some of the surviving miners escaped the captors and went underground and joined the gladiatorial combat games. Megatron rose as the leader of the games and gathered followers to oppose the hated Autobots, who were led by Sentinel Prime. Megatron's Decepticons eventually defeated Prime and took over the city of Kaon and started the Great War. Megatron Origin

Sentinel was succeeded by an unknown Autobot named Zeta Prime, who was protected from a Deception assassination attempt with Blurr's help, but was eventually killed by Megatron. Spotlight: Blurr The Autobots were then led by Optimus Prime and formed into small units to counter the Decepticon units infiltrating various planets. The two sides joined forces to combat Thunderwing and the ensuing battle rendered Cybertron uninhabitable. Stormbringer (comics)

Robots in Disguise
Here, the Autobots are the main race on Cybertron, and their enemies are the Predacons. The Autobots fought in the Cybertronian Civil Wars, presumably against the Predacons. Vector Sigma, the Allspark, chooses which Autobot is to be granted the Matrix and thus the position of commander-in-chief.

The Autobots were already on Earth when the Predacons arrived, having taken the form of Earth vehicles to work as camouflage and established a Global Space Bridge network and a central base monitoring the entire planet.

In their disguises, the Autobots integrated themselves into human society; Team Bullet Train worked as actual trains, X-Brawn was owned as a car by Kelly, and Optimus Prime was working for a fire department. This continued after they went public; both Prowl and Tow-Line, for example, were shown enforcing human laws in an apparently official capacity, suggesting the Autobots had official ties to human authorities.

It's known Optimus fought the Predacons on other worlds, presumably using the same tactics as on Earth.

Unicron Trilogy
Comic continuity
Armada
Originally, the Autobots were not a faction, but the name of a peacekeeping organization; under the command of Optimus Prime, they defended Cyber City. Their headquarters was adorned with the motto "Truth - Justice - Freedom". They were unable to stop the Mini-Con-powered Decepticons from taking Cyber City, and for a million years they were reduced to a rebel organization desperately trying & failing to protect Cybertron. The reactivation of the Mini-Cons on Earth gave the Autobots an opportunity to gain Mini-Con power of their own, but eventually the Decepticons were beaten not by them, but due to the attack of Unicron.

Cartoon continuity
Armada
Throughout the Unicron Trilogy, the Autobots switched motives after each major conflict. At first, they were attempting to liberate smaller robots, called Mini-Cons, from the tyrannical control of Megatron, who saw them as tools to be used and disposed of when no longer needed. The Autobots followed the Mini-Cons' ship to Earth, where they crashed and eventually continued their battle against the Decepticons (some two million years later. Geez, Megs can hold a grudge).

These two sides would unite to fight the Chaos Bringer, Unicron, when he threatened to devour Cybertron. With Megatron sacrificing himself to save the rest of the Universe, Unicron shut down and was destroyed. The remaining Transformers united as the Autobots, following Megatron's order to assist them in rebuilding Cybertron.

Energon
Megatron's final orders to his troops still stood: work with the Autobots. The Decepticons maintained a degree of autonomy, still wearing the faction sigil and often taking military/defensive positions in the growing number of energon-mining colonies, but they were ultimately answerable to Optimus Prime and the Autobots. There were, of course, dissenters, most of whom were captured and imprisoned. For a decade, Autobot and Decepticon worked side-by-side in a somewhat stable truce.

Both sides found themselves the target of attacks from Unicron again; hordes of Terrorcon drones, sent by Alpha Quintesson to steal energon ore with which to revive the now-shattered husk of Unicron. What the alien did not count on was that Megatron's spark had survived within the remains, and was siphoning energon from Unicron's body. Soon the Decepticon leader had revived himself in a new form, driven off Alpha Quintesson, and, along with an elite cadre of soldiers and a seemingly inexhaustible supply of mindless Terrorcon drones, begun his new plans for conquest.

When news of Megatron's return reached Cybertron, hundreds of Decepticons rose up and rebelled, eager to get back to conquering. But having been joined to Unicron for so long apparently had given Megatron a taste of godhood; he had no more interest in amassing a galaxy-spanning army of troops. Countless Decepticons died in the resulting battles, with Megatron more than willing to sacrifice them without a thought to attain ultimate power for himself. As the "Powerlinx Battles" - as they came to be called - came to their climax, Megatron found that his actions and thoughts were being influenced and controlled by the dark spark of Unicron. Unwilling to let Unicron stand in his way, Megatron ultimately sacrificed himself (again) and seemingly destroyed Unicron's spark by plunging himself into a newly-formed energon sun created by Primus.

Cybertron
Another ten years after Energon, the energon sun created by Primus was gone, collapsed into the Unicron Singularity, a giant black hole threatening to devour all of existence. In death, Unicron's power to destroy his only opposition - Primus - was greater than ever. The Autobots searched for a method of destroying the Black Hole and found a single answer; the Omega Lock, a powerful artifact linked to the Spark of Primus. With it, the Universe could be saved... or destroyed. Seeing an opportunity to rebuild existence in his own image, Megatron sought out the Omega Lock and the Cyber Planet Keys.

As the two sides battled for the Keys, the Autobots would eventually find all four and use them to revive Primus, but in doing so caused a massive earthquake that began shattering the planet around them.

Or so they thought.

Primus was emerging from Cybertron, awakened from the body he sculpted into a world for his creation. When informed of Unicron's destruction, he was infuriated to find that the universe was out of balance because of a severe lack of evil. Starscream attacked Primus' weakened form, due to the smaller robot stealing a piece of his spark and becoming an even equally huge monster, but was quickly dispatched by his creator. Defeated, Starscream flew off, leaving the Autobots to seal the Black Hole. Once this was accomplished, Galvatron attempted an escape from his fire dimension, but by combining Vector Prime's sword with the Omega Lock, the portal was sealed, and the Autobots returned home in peace.

The remaining Decepticons joined the Autobots, save for four who left Earth to start the New Decepticon Army. Their ship made it to Mars before crashing.

Live-action film series
The Autobots (autonomous robotic organisms) are the second Cybertronian civilization, being the descendants of the early workers who served the Dynasty of Primes. Following the outbreak of the war, the Autobots became the Transformers who rallied around Optimus, the last of the Primes, to prevent Protector Megatron from claiming the All Spark. They were formed mostly from the Science Division, the Security Force, and what few members of the Defense Force rejected Megatron's violent ambitions. Although they fought valiantly, the Decepticons were more warlike, and they began to gain ground. In a move to prevent the Decepticons from acquiring the All Spark, Prime sent it hurtling into deep space. Megatron followed, and disappeared. The Autobots then scattered among the universe, searching for the All Spark. Defiance Movie Prequel (2007)

Following some twelve thousand years of searching, the Autobots encountered a stranded human vessel in space. Known as Ghost One, the creatures aboard, named humans, revealed that they had developed the ship based on studies from Megatron. Recognizing that Megatron would destroy their world if he came back online, Optimus tried to send them back to Earth, but they sacrificed their lives to save Optimus from Starscream. Already suspecting that the All Spark was on their homeworld, the Autobots made efforts to find Earth. Ghosts of Yesterday

Eventually, the Autobots made their way to Earth, discovering a link to the All Spark with Sam Witwicky. The Autobot Bumblebee came into Sam's possession, and contacted Optimus Prime. Prime came to Earth with Jazz, Ironhide, and Ratchet to retrieve the All Spark and eliminate Megatron, fearing the Decepticon would use the Cube to raise an army from human technology. However, Starscream's retrieval team was also on Earth, having come for the All Spark. The Autobots were further hampered by Sector Seven, the human agency tasked with dealing with Transformers. Eventually forming a brief truce with Sector Seven and a group of Army Rangers who had encountered Blackout and Scorponok, the Autobots fought off the Decepticons in Mission City, which saw the deaths of Megatron, Blackout, Bonecrusher, and Brawl, but Jazz was killed and the All Spark destroyed when Sam Witwicky extinguished Megatron's spark. Without a means to restore Cybertron, the Autobots decided to remain on Earth, and Optimus Prime sent a message into space for Autobots to come and protect their new home and newfound allies in humanity. Transformers (2007)

Over the next two years, more Autobots began making their way to Earth, such as Arcee, Sideswipe, Jolt, Salvage, and others, joining a human military force known as NEST. Under the classified Autobot Alien cooperation act, the Autobots entrusted the remaining All Spark shard to humanity and gave them intelligence about the Decepticons they were facing. However, the Autobots refused to share weapons technology with humanity, knowing their history internecine warfare. Alliance The Veiled Threat

In 2009, NEST had five encounters with the Decepticons on different continents, indicating that the Decepticons were searching for something. During a sweep of Shanghai, NEST encountered Demolishor and Sideways, who caused substantial damage to the city during their attempts to escape. Although they were neutralized, Demolishor relayed a warning to Optimus Prime: "The Fallen will rise again". Following this, NEST returned to their base of operations at Diego Garcia, where they relayed the warning to General Morshower and Director Galloway. Having been appointed liaison by the President, Galloway concluded that the Decepticons only interest in Earth was to hunt down the Autobots. Unfortunately, Galloway also revealed both Megatron's resting place and the presence of the shard on Diego Garica. Soundwave was listening to the briefing, and directed Ravage and the Constructicons to raise Megatron. Meeting with his master, The Fallen, Megatron was commanded to retrieve Sam Witwicky, who had absorbed the knowledge of the AllSpark, and kill Optimus Prime, the only one who could defeat The Fallen. Optimus died helping Sam escape, and the Decepticons launched multiple attacks to have the humans turn Sam over to them. Galloway used the attacks as an excuse to have himself placed in charge of NEST and place the Autobots under guard.

Meanwhile, Sam, his girlfriend Mikaela Banes, and his roommate Leo Spitz were being hidden by Bumblebee and the Twins Skids and Mudflap, and with help from Seymour Simmons of Sector Seven, discovered Decepticon-turned-Autobot Jetfire, who told them that the Fallen, one of the founders of the Dynasty of Primes, was looking for the Matrix of Leadership needed to activate the solar harvester, which would destroy Earth's sun and make energon. Sam was able to find the Matrix and use it to revive Optimus Prime, who, armed with the knowledge of his family and parts from the dead Jetfire, managed to destroy the harvester and kill the Fallen, saving Earth. Revenge of the Fallen (film)

Animated
The Autobots in the Animated continuity won the Great War with the Decepticons because of three things: the Autobot-exclusive space bridge technology, Project Omega, and by sending the AllSpark into space to keep the Decepticons from getting it. Transform and Roll Out Since then Cybertron has known peace under the rule of the Autobot High Council, headed by a Magnus, in this case Ultra Magnus. Magnus heads the military portion of the planet's defense force, the Cybertron Elite Guard, which is based at Fortress Maximus (Alpha Trion is in charge of the civilian guards, which may include the Cyber-Ninja Corps). Prime is a subordinate rank answerable to the Magnus, and Optimus, Sentinel, Rodimus and Longarm have been promoted to this rank. A lower officer is known as a Minor. The High Council, Cybertron Intelligence and the Ministry of Science are based at the Metroplex.
In this universe, the Autobots are the evildoers, bent on conquering and destroying everything in their path, starting with Earth. On Cybertron, they are the dominant faction, ruled by the Prime, specifically Optimus Prime. Ranks are in constant flux due to their backstabbing nature. Rodimus may very well usurp rule one day. Shattered Glass

The game is set during the waning days of the Great War on Cybertron. Megatron is searching for a dangerous power source known as Dark Energon to fuel his conquest of the planet. Optimus Prime has come to prominence after joining the fight following an attack on Iacon, but he is not yet leader of the Autobots. Starscream joins the Decepticons as second-in-command, but does not consider either Optimus or Megatron to have the planet's best interests at heart. (We will apparently learn why Starscream is such a whopping traitor and why Megatron doesn't just kill him).

Transformers: War for Cybertron is a video game developed by High Moon Studios and published by Activision, set before the Transformers take their war to Earth. Hasbro intends it to act as a foundation for Transformers franchise storylines for years to come, and so they've been giving a lot of input and stressing character development. There are both a Decepticon and an Autobot campaign with distinct, linear storylines; the Decepticon campaign occurs chronologically before the Autobot campaign, but fans can play through them in whichever order they prefer.

The game itself will be an over-the-shoulder third-person shooter in which the player can choose his character from a small roster of either Autobots or Decepticons. The game will be released on July 22, 2010, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and PC.
Synopsis
The game is set during the waning days of the Great War on Cybertron. Megatron is searching for a dangerous power source known as Dark Energon to fuel his conquest of the planet. Optimus Prime has come to prominence after joining the fight following an attack on Iacon, but he is not yet leader of the Autobots. Starscream joins the Decepticons as second-in-command, but does not consider either Optimus or Megatron to have the planet's best interests at heart. (We will apparently learn why Starscream is such a whopping traitor and why Megatron doesn't just kill him).

Characters
At the start of each level, the player can choose from one of three characters. The characters available will shift from level to level. Known playable characters include:

Autobots
*Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) (WfC character profile)
*Bumblebee
*Ratchet
*Ironhide
*Soundwave
*Thundercracker

The Decepticon campaign includes a boss battle with Omega Supreme and the Autobot campaign includes defending Iacon. Trypticon appears in the IGN trailer, but he's, uh, probably not playable. Players should expect references to Cybertron locations taken from all previous Transformer stories, "things which may have only been referenced once, in one comic way back when, could be used and expanded upon."
* All playable characters have two special abilities, such as absorbing health from enemies or marking targets.
* The game will run on the Unreal engine.
* High Moon is prepared to "support the game after release," meaning either patches or downloadable content.
* Online Multiplayer is being developed for the game.

Synopsis
At NEST command, Ironhide and Bumblebee review some datatrax Optimus Prime has made on the history of the Autobot-Decepticon war for preservation in Vector Sigma. Suddenly, an explosion occurs outside the base. Ironhide goes to investigate while Bumblebee is left to lock down the important datatrax. But as Ironhide leaves, Soundwave breaks into the base in his satellite mode, overwhelming Bumblebee with a sonic attack. Soundwave gloats that Optimus will regret leaving the smallest Autobot to guard NEST command.

Outside, the Decepticon Bludgeon roams the jungle...until Ironhide drives right into him! He had been hoping to have a go with Bludgeon, and decides to use an appropriate human phrase: BRING IT!

Inside NEST command, Bumblebee fires at Soundwave, but the Decepticon absorbs the sonic boom and sends the acoustic energy right back at him. Bumblebee decides to use a rapid fire assault, and Soundwave is unable to repel all the sonic booms from Bumblebee's weapons. Within moments, the Decepticon falls.

Outside, Ironhide looks for Bludgeon, who uses a tree to send Ironhide flying. Bumblebee then contacts Ironhide to inform him of Soundwave's attack, but Ironhide tells Bumblebee to sit tight: this is between him and Bludgeon.

To be continued...
Other notes
Animation or technical errors
* Soundwave's colors kind of change around from scene to scene.

Continuity errors
Transformers references
* Oh, hey, Vector Sigma. Alpha Trion.
* Ironhide is based on his Recon Ironhide toy, Soundwave's robot mode on his Infiltration Soundwave toy, Bumblebee uses his shoulder cannons from Battlefield Bumblebee, and... well, it's a NEST Global Alliance toy commercial. Surprise!

Trivia
* Soundwave's one weakness is automatic weaponry.

*Superion (Multi-pack, 2009)

: The Target-exclusive Revenge of the Fallen Superion is a redeco of Energon Air Team/Superion Maximus combiner. Superion is composed of his five team members, with Silverbolt forming his central body component. His limbs' energon weapons form his hands and feet. Similarly to Generation 1's Scramble City combiner teams, Superion features universal connection points for the limbs, allowing many different combinations and even swapping of limbs from different teams.

:Like with US "exclusives" in the Movie (2007) line, Superions are sold mass market in the United Kingdom. In Canada, they are sold at Zellers.

:This mold was previously sold as Universe Superion with no changes.

::*More information on Superion at TFU.info

Notes
*Due to an assembling error, Silverbolt's knees are backwards, preventing correct movement. A part swap (that involves very tiny pieces and springs that really want to pop out) can correct this, unless you are unlucky enough to own a sample with one correct leg and one incorrect leg. However some Really lucky ducks have one that actually have both legs correct.

Trivia
* According to the instructions and packaging photos, Airazor forms Superion's right arm, Fireflight forms his left arm, Skydive forms his right leg, and Air Raid forms his left leg. However, the layout of the figures in the packaging nominally puts Skydive as his right arm, Airazor as his left arm, Air Raid as his right leg, and Fireflight as his left leg. And because his limbs are all interchangeable, you can have it either way! Or neither way!
