'''When Smokescreen is captured, he learns the location of the Omega Key and attempts to retrieve all the other stolen keys.'''

==Synopsis==
[[Smokescreen (Prime)|Smokescreen]] recovers consciousness to find himself on a slab in the [[Trypticon (Prime)|Decepticon warship]] with [[Knock Out (Prime)|Knock Out]] standing over him. [[Megatron (Prime)|Megatron]] demands the final relic, pointing out [[Soundwave (Prime)|Soundwave]]'s work decrypting the Iacon database has revealed an image of Smokescreen, but Smokescreen is merely confused as to what it means. Knock Out scans the [[Autobot]], and finds the last relic is hidden inside.

The other Autobots, meanwhile, realize that the Decepticons must have decoded the last coordinates and speculate that Smokescreen holds the [[Omega Key]] inside him, largely due to being installed within him while unconscious by [[Alpha Trion (Prime)|Alpha Trion]].

Knock Out advances on the alarmed Smokescreen with a rotary saw, only to reveal he's actually going to use the [[phase shifter]] to do the operation. He reaches inside Smokescreen and soon has the Omega Key in hand. Smokescreen refuses to tell the Decepticons what the Omega Keys are, but Megatron has ways of finding out.

[[Image:InsideJobStarscream.jpg|thumb|left|250px|Cue unnecessarily lame evil laugh in 5, 4, 3, 2...]]
[[Starscream (Prime)|Starscream]] ruminates on the one Omega Key he possesses, while talking to his [[Starscream clone (Prime)|dead clone]]. Imagining himself in charge of a reborn [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], he quickly realizes that he doesn't have the resources he would need to rule it.

Megatron listens in on Prime's briefing about the Omega Keys, thanks to a [[cortical psychic patch]] hooked up to Smokescreen. Once they've learned all they need, Knock Out unplugs the pair and Megatron orders Knock Out to use the patch to find the location of the [[Autobot Outpost Omega One|Autobot base]] so they can retrieve the other Omega Keys. After Megatron leaves to put their new key in a safe place, Knock Out moves in, only for Smokescreen to grab the phase shifter attached to his wrist and uses it to free himself. The pair grapple until Smokescreen manages to pull the device from his opponent's wrist, leaving Knock Out embedded in a bulkhead. Though Knock Out points out Smokescreen has no means of escape from the ship, Smokescreen has plans of his own. Through use of the phase shifter, he's able to catch up with Megatron near the storage area, where he snatches back the Omega Key and takes the one in storage as well. The Decepticons attempt to stop him, but their firepower passes straight through him. He eventually reaches the outer hull, only to be confronted by Megatron. With no other choice, the Autobot jumps off the ship.

At the Autobot base, [[Ratchet (Prime)|Ratchet]] picks up Smokescreen's signal, but has trouble locking on due to the fact that Smokescreen's plummeting through the air. Harried by [[Vehicon (Prime)|Vehicons]], Smokescreen drops towards the [[GroundBridge]] Ratchet opens, only to be knocked off-course by Megatron. He uses the phase shifter to pass through the ground. Moments later, Megatron lands and demands his subordinates search the wreckage. Smokescreen bridges back to base, where the Autobots congratulate him, but wonder where the fourth key is. They're answered moments later when they get a message from Starscream offering the key in return for the replacement of his [[transformation cog|T-Cog]]. Having considered it, [[Optimus Prime (Prime)|Optimus Prime]] decides it's too important to not take Starscream up on his offer.

Optimus, Ratchet and [[Bulkhead (Prime)|Bulkhead]] bridge to a forested location and approach Starscream, only to find him apparently dead. It is, of course, just the dead clone, and the real Starscream uses [[Red Energon]] to nip through the GroundBridge into the Autobot base. Moving too fast to be seen, he is tempted at first to finish off the slow-moving Autobots, but goes to find the Omega Keys first. The Autobots in the field realize they've been deceived just as Starscream blows open the vault holding the keys. Though Optimus orders [[Arcee (Prime)|Arcee]] to close the GroundBridge, it's too slow to prevent Starscream from escaping the base. He stops to mock Optimus, Ratchet and Bulkhead, only for the Red Energon to wear off right at the worst possible moment. After firing a missile at the Autobots, he frantically opens his own GroundBridge and escapes back to the ''[[Harbinger]]''. Though Bulkhead and Ratchet believe they can get the keys back Optimus grimly announces the fate of Cybertron is now in Starscream's hands.

[[Image:InsideJobKnockOut.jpg|thumb|right|250px|Well, this is awkward...]]
Despite Knock Out's pleas, Megatron refuses to release him from the wall. Megatron and [[Dreadwing (Prime)|Dreadwing]] return to the bridge, where they find Starscream who has come with a peace offering of four Omega Keys.
===Animation and technical errors===
*Megatron's vehicle mode still has his fusion cannon, despite the arm it was attached to being removed. Furthermore, if one watches Megatron's transformation scene, it's blocked off by smoke, making it impossible to see what exactly happens with his fusion cannon and his different arm.
*Smokescreen's momentum suddenly disappears upon phasing through the ground. Based on where he exits, he couldn't have landed much lower than the Vehicons did. Speaking of momentum, how exactly were the Autobots planning to catch Smokescreen when he came out of the GroundBridge at terminal velocity.
*Starscream's super speed is depicted inconsistently. Though visible to the viewers while moving, the Autobots apparently cannot see him even though he takes time to stand still, closely in front of them and gloat before grabbing the keys. His destruction of the door to the Omega Keys also moves at an inconsistent pace; the initial explosion is enough to consume the door instantly, only to slow down before the blast reaches Starscream.
*An early external shot of the ''[[Trypticon_(Prime)|Nemesis]]'' has its "eyes" and running lights illuminated in [[Dark Energon]] purple; later in the episode they are their normal red.
*while hooked up to Smokescreen's mind, Megatron's "mind avatar" has his original arm, fusion cannon and all.

===Continuity notes===
*This episode continues from [[Hard Knocks|the previous one]], starting not long after Smokescreen's capture and subsequent restraint.
*The [[cortical psychic patch]] is used to extract information from Smokescreen, having been used previously in "[[Sick Mind]]" and "[[Out of the Past]]".
*Starscream lists off numerous items he's acquired or stolen in previous episodes; the Omega Key from "Hard Knocks", the processed Red Energon (which he acquired in "[[New Recruit]]" and refined in "Hard Knocks"), his GroundBridge remote first seen in "[[Triangulation]]", his murdered clone from "[[Armada (episode)|Armada]]", and the T-cog he scavenged from said clone in "Triangulation".
*Ratchet recalls Starscream's lack of a T-cog, which he learned about in "[[Crossfire]]". Starscream lost his in "[[Operation Bumblebee, Part 2]]".
*While Starscream is looking for the Omega Keys in the Autobots' Vault, he comes across [[Airachnid (Prime)|Airachnid]] in stasis, which occurred back in "[[Armada (episode)|Armada]]".
*Even though the [[Star Saber (Prima)|Star Saber]] was destroyed in "[[Alpha/Omega]]", Optimus stills wears the hilt Ratchet made him.

===Transformers references===
* One of Starscream's self-proclaimed titles as the new ruler of Cybertron is "[[Emperor of Destruction]]". He also refers to himself as Cybertron's [[Overlord (rank)|Overlord]], which originated in the Marvel UK story [[State Games]] as the pre-war rulers of Cybertron.

===Real-world references===

===Trivia===
*This episode explains why the phase shifter doesn't phase the user through everything, neatly tying up the issues of how it can be used with such versatility.
*This is the third episode in a row where no humans appear.
*This is the first episode in the series where we get to hear Optimus scream in frustration.
*This is the first episode since "[[Darkness Rising, Part 1]]" to show a Vehicon in automobile mode.
'''Frustrated by Optimus Prime's pacifism, Kup goes rogue in order to tie up as many loose ends as he can.'''

==Synopsis==
At the [[Wrecker]]s' headquarters, [[Debris]], [[Kup (G1)|Kup]] runs through a holographic training session in which he takes down two of the biggest unresolved threats left over from the war—[[Bludgeon (G1)|Bludgeon]] and [[Galvatron II|Galvatron]]—but the session is stopped by [[Springer (G1)|Springer]] just before the third and final holo-opponent, [[Megatron (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Megatron]], takes Kup down from behind. Springer brings news that a group of Neo-[[Decepticon]]s have holed up in a weapons-decommissioning depot in [[Kalis]], and are threatening to detonate a clutch of reclaimed warheads. The Wreckers ready for action, only to have [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]] inform them that [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Optimus Prime]]'s refusal to permit hostile action against insurgents is still in effect.

Meanwhile, inside the facility, the insurgents in question—the [[Skyscorcher]]s—are arguing amongst themselves over their raid going wrong. [[Windrazor (G2)|Windrazor]] contacts Ultra Magnus in order to arrange a surrender, intending to then trigger a small explosion using a warhead detonator cap that will cover their escape, but before terms can be arranged, [[Ransack (G1)|Ransack]], [[Chop Shop]] and [[Venom (G1)|Venom]] infiltrate the depot and take all four of them down. The three [[Insecticon (G1)|Insecticon]]s have been sent into action by [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]] with the order to make martyrs of the Skyscorchers by detonating one of the warheads, but the Wreckers suddenly burst into the room in defiance of orders, restrain the Insecticons in a [[detention sphere]], and with a little off-site help from [[Perceptor (G1)|Perceptor]], disarm the ticking warhead.

Presently, Ultra Magnus and Kup visit [[Nova Point]], where Optimus Prime grudgingly admits that the Wreckers' actions saved countless lives, leading him to refrain from handing down punishment. Magnus presses the issue, concerned about the influence of the Wreckers' war-hero reputation is having on his cadets, but Prime does not hear him, his mind consumed by a vision of [[Unicron]], threatening to return and kill him again. Outside Prime's chambers, Kup and [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]] argue about over Prime's new outlook, with Kup angrily concluding that Prime's decision to mentor Hot Rod is a case of him looking for someone to take over leadership so that he can forget about the war entirely. Deciding that a more proactive attitude—like that displayed by the currently-absent [[Grimlock (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Grimlock]], off looking for a cure for [[Nucleon]]—is needed to deal with the threats that still exist, Kup returns to Debris and gathers up the other Wreckers. He announces his intent to visit [[Earth]], [[Nebulos]] and the other worlds touched by the war to try and actually make a difference, and the whole team elects to join him.

Kup is not the only one going proactive—at [[Fort Scyk]], Soundwave receives a communication from Bludgeon, off in the depths of space, who announces that he has gathered together the means to take revenge on the Autobots for his defeat on [[Klo]]. Only one element remains, and if Soundwave can acquire it for him, Bludgeon promises him all the firepower he will need to wage his campaign...

Kup and the Wreckers hitch a lift with the [[Cosmic Carnival]] to Earth's [[Solar System]] in return for a favour to be collected on later, and once at their destination, quickly release surveillance drones to scan Earth. The images the drones beam back are nothing short of horrifying: the entire planet has been devastated, great cities laid to waste, bodies of water boiled dry. And amidst the devastation, on a throne of rubble... sits Megatron! Remotely taking control of one of the drones in order to address the Autobots, Megatron mockingly wonders why it took so long for his actions to be noticed before launching a volley of nuclear missiles at the Wreckers and blowing their ship out of the sky!
:—'''Kup''' gives Hot Rod a talking-to
==Notes==
[[Image:Soundwave Insecticons.jpeg|right|200px|thumb|Surprise! We've been hiding in here since 1985!]]
*Kup's hologram version of Bludgeon is missing the left prong of its helmet-crest, just as Bludgeon was when he was last seen at the end of the original Marvel run.
*We get to see the Wreckers' base, [[Debris]], for the first time—up until now, it's only been mentioned in passing, or appeared in prose stories.
*[[Twin Twist]] is conspicuous by his absence from the ranks of the Wreckers. He ''did'' die during the [[Time Wars]], but we know that the UK stories don't count for ''Regeneration One'',<ref name="nouk">[http://simonfurman.wordpress.com/2012/07/11/rg1-81-is-here/#comment-6607 Simon Furman]: "There are no direct follow-ons from UK stories in RG1."</ref> as evidenced by the fact that Topspin, Roadbuster, Rack 'n' Ruin and Sandstorm all died during that conflict as well and appear alive here.
*Taking Twin Twist's place on the Wreckers is Leadfoot, which is probably a reference to [[Leadfoot (DOTM)|''Dark of the Moon''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s Leadfoot]] being part of the movie universe's version of the team. Leadfoot was created during the ''[[Transformers: Generation 2 (Marvel)|Generation 2]]'' comic, but as the events of that story didn't occur in the ''Regeneration One'' timeline, where he came from here is as yet unknown. Maybe he's just a pre-existing guy!
*The provincial term "[[Polities of Cybertron#Orbital Torus State|Orbital Torus State]]", which originated with [[Dreamwave Productions|Dreamwave]]'s comics, makes its Marvel continuity debut here.
*Kup refers to Ultra Magnus as (formerly) "Cybertron's greatest warrior", the appellation he bore in the Marvel UK series.
*The [[Dark Ages]] get a mention, a portion of Cybertronian history that also originates with the Dreamwave comics.
*Ransack makes his Marvel continuity debut with this issue; Chop Shop and Venom previously appeared during the Time Wars, and like a chunk of the Wreckers, died. Just as the more famous Insecticon trio were able to do in the Marvel comic, these three are able to shrink to the size of actual insects, an ability Soundwave exploits to smuggle them around in his chest compartment!
'''Frustrated by Optimus Prime's pacifism, Kup goes rogue in order to tie up as many loose ends as he can.'''

==Synopsis==

"What do '''I''' think? I think Prime's '''lost''' his edge. His death and subsequent rebirth have turned a visionary leader into a '''blinkered, unrealistic optimist.''' And those years spent "mentoring" you are just symptomatic... of him '''passing the buck!'''"
==Notes==

*Hot Rod's color scheme has been changed since issue #80.5, and he now sports an orange chest and silver fists, more in-line with his cartoon appearance. Below the waist, he's still rocking the Marvel-originated silver thighs and magenta boots.
*Kup notes that instead of inhibiting transformation across the board, Nucleon left other Transformers "mental or physical wrecks". The idea that Nucleon would have various different effects on those dosed with it was a story hook Furman was intending to explore back in the 90s before the Marvel series was cancelled, and he's obviously returning to it here.
*Some kind of mold-thingy is mounted on the wall behind Bludgeon, and is pretty clearly cast in the shape of [[Thunderwing (G1)|Thunderwing]]. The idea of Bludgeon attempting to resurrect a former Decepticon leader as part of his revenge scheme isn't new, as he did the same thing with Megatron in the original post-#80 continuation, "[[Another Time & Place]]". But Megatron isn't dead in this timeline!
*this is also a nod to IDW's [[Stormbringer]] in which Bludgeon and the other decapticon pretenders resurrect Thunderwing.
*Seems that Berko returned to the Cosmic Carnival and took control of the whole shebang since his last appearance in "[[Recipe for Disaster!]]".
*That the first ruined city we see in this issue is [[San Francisco]] seems intended to echo the Marvel ''Generation 2'' comic, where Frisco was blown to atoms in [[Dark Shadows!|issue #11]].
*Megatron still has a black helmet! Woooooooooooo!
*A few elements from IDW's own [[IDW Generation 1 continuity|Generation 1 continuity]] have evidently filtered into this universe in the intervening twenty-one years, including Kup as a member of the Wreckers, Ultra Magnus as an officious bureaucrat and Bludgeon engineering the return of Thunderwing.

===Errors===
*The shape and design of Springer's chest constantly changes throughout the whole issue.
*As Terradive and Afterburner argue, either their speech bubbles are mixed up or Wildman has drawn in the wrong characters, as their names are swapped.
*On the penultimate page of the story, poking between Kup and Springer, is the entirely grey face of some dude. He sorta maybe ''kinda'' looks like Sandstorm’s toy? But if it's him, it's got a bunch of details he wouldn't normally have and is missing its entire over-head propeller rig.
*It's not clear how Kup can know anything about Galvatron, as up until this point in continuity the only Autobots to have gotten so much as a clear look at that character were Fortress Maximus{{storylink|The Last Autobot?}} and Xaaron. The former never learned Galvatron's name or role, and the latter died soon thereafter.
'''Frustrated by Optimus Prime's pacifism, Kup goes rogue in order to tie up as many loose ends as he can.'''

==Synopsis==

===Errors===

===Cover===
'''The Autobots mourn the loss of Optimus Prime, and Hot Shot is hit particularly hard.'''

==Synopsis==
The [[Decepticon]]s celebrate the destruction of [[Autobot]] leader [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]]. While [[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]] laughs, [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] and [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] stay calm, regretting the victory (for different reasons). Acting glad, Megatron orders his crew to return to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]].

In the Autobot base, the kids have trouble coming to terms with the death of Optimus Prime, [[Fred (Armada)|Fred]] openly crying. [[Rad White|Rad]] understands that Optimus knew he would die, and he mourns that nobody on Earth would know that Optimus died to save all humans.

A week later, the Autobots are still sad, but repressing their sadness to get work done has increased tensions. [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] gets frustrated with how passively the other Autobots have been handling Optimus Prime's death, and goes to the teleporter room to meet with [[Jetfire (Armada)|Jetfire]]. He recalls the time he accused Optimus of letting the Decepticons getting the upper hand by letting Starscream join the Autobots. Jetfire returns from his mission to the Decepticons' now-abandoned moon-base, and Hot Shot promptly demands Jetfire take him to space to vengefully hunt down the Decepticons.

The other Autobots arrive and try to stress how important it is that the [[Axalon (Armada)|spaceship]] be finished. But Hot Shot just tells his friends to shut up. [[Scavenger (Armada)|Scavenger]], insulted, throws Hot Shot to the ground. He commands Hot Shot to be silent as he drags the younger Autobot away. The two teleport away, and [[Jolt (Armada)|Jolt]] follows. The rest of the kids and Autobots are left to wonder what Scavenger intends to do.

[[Alexis Thi Dang|Alexis]] determines Scavenger and Hot Shot to be on an abandoned highway. There, Scavenger brutalizes Hot Shot, and demands he fights back. Hot Shot avoids most of Scavenger's punches, but doesn't retaliate. The kids and Autobots watch as Hot Shot is thrown around. Hot Shot finally fights back when Scavenger mentions Optimus. When the two Transformers press their weight against each other, Scavenger mentions that it was Hot Shot that made him switch to the Autobots. Between punches, Scavenger explains that Optimus had integrity, and that's why Starscream was allowed to join the Autobots. Alexis, watching the fight with the Autobots (who refuse to help Hot Shot) figures out that Hot Shot blames himself for Optimus Prime's death.

Hot Shot retreats away from Scavenger, still convinced that Optimus needs to be avenged. [[Blurr (Armada)|Blurr]] encounters Hot Shot on the freeway, but Hot Shot escapes again. The kids try to reason with the Autobots that abusing Hot Shot won't help Hot Shot overcome his own anxieties—but Red Alert is adamant that aggressive therapy is needed.

[[Side Swipe (Armada)|Side Swipe]] blocks Hot Shot's path and prepares to open fire against his brother. The [[Mini-Con]]s join in on forming the barricade, bringing Hot Shot to an advanced stop. Even Jolt abandons Hot Shot to join the other Mini-Cons. Hot Shot remembers Optimus Prime's word about trusting the Mini-Cons. Thanks to the Mini-Cons, Hot Shot has a moment of clarity and recalls what the war with the Decepticons is about.

Hot Shot apologizes to the assembled Mini-Cons and Autobots. He wants to re-join and help in the fight against the Decepticons as part of the team again. With the Autobots' morale revitalized, Jetfire announces that he's making Hot Shot the new Autobot commander. Scavenger arrives and starts to take a swing at the new commander, but Hot Shot doesn't move an inch. Scavenger cuts his punch before hitting, and gives Hot Shot his approval.

Later that evening, Jetfire tries to give Hot Shot the [[Matrix of Leadership|Matrix]], but Hot Shot declines to accept it. Instead, he announces that he'll only lead the Autobots until the team gets back to Cybertron. Working together, the team gets back to work and gets ready to stop the Decepticons.
==Notes==
===Differences with ''Micron Legend''===
===Animation and/or technical glitches===
* During his first line in the episode, Hot Shot has enormous hips.
* When Scavenger tells Hot Shot they're not friends, he's wearing a (red) Decepticon symbol.
* When Hot Shot asks Optimus for help in his vision, you can see the corner of a Decepticon symbol instead of an Autobot one.
*After Hot Shot has his vision, Smokescreen's eyes are too close together and too big.

===Continuity errors===
* Contrary to what Scavenger said in this episode, he was never REALLY a Decepticon, only an Autobot spy.

===Trivia===
*Flashback footage in this episode is taken from "[[Vow]]", specifically of Optimus walking towards Megatron and the Mini-Cons.
*In Germany this episode followed "[[Carnival]]". RTL II—the channel that aired the show—stated that Hasbro Germany insisted on having the entire series aired in just two months to better promote the toyline.
'''His plans crumbling, Megatron takes a final stab at winning the Beast Wars and changing history.'''

==Synopsis==
With [[Ravage (G1)|Ravage]] and his [[transwarp cruiser]] backing them up, the [[Predacon (BW)|Predacons]] unleash a full assault on the [[Maximal]] [[Axalon (BW)|base]]. [[Rattrap]] changes to beast mode and jumps onto the back of the transwarp cruiser, where he begins cutting into the ship's hull. On the battlefield, [[Optimus Primal/Beast Wars cartoon continuity|Optimus]] and [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]] are pinned down by the Predacons' firepower, but the [[autogun]]s manage to knock [[Quickstrike (BW)|Quickstrike]] from his perch atop [[Rampage (BW)|Rampage]] and a short time later the larger Predacon runs him over.

[[Image:Agenda 3 Rampage axalon.jpg|left|200px|thumb|Who decided to give the experiment awesome firepower?]]
It's not long before Ravage and Rampage bring down the base's shield, and [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]] emerges to fire on Rampage. Ravage has [[Tarantulas (BW)|Tarantulas]] transfer all the cruiser's power into one enormous missile. Before it can fire, [[Rattrap]] bursts into the ship's weapons hold and tosses a pair of [[Fusion weaponry#Fusion grenade|fusion grenade]]s that adhere to Tarantulas's hands. The bombs obliterate Tarantulas, the ship's interior, and Ravage—who faces the onrushing fireball with a stoic cry of "[[Decepticon|Decepticons]] forever!" The cruiser falls out of the sky, coming to rest mere feet from Rampage—who is then blasted by the still-armed missile.

With the cruiser destroyed and his minions out of commission, [[Megatron (BW)/Beast Wars cartoon continuity|Megatron]] flees. Optimus notes that he's not headed back to base, realizes [[Mount St. Hilary|where]] he's probably going, and orders the Maximals to pursue.

[[Image:Ark BWAgenda1.jpg|right|200px|thumb|OK, remember where we parked.]]
Meanwhile, [[Blackarachnia (BW)|Blackarachnia]] and [[Silverbolt (BW)|Silverbolt]] make their way into the caves of the volcano, uncovering the object of Blackarachnia's quest—the [[Ark (G1)|Ark]]. Blackarachnia explains to Silverbolt that the ship was launched long ago, containing the Autobots' "finest heroes", and was shot down by Decepticons. The ship has members of both factions stored inside, who will awaken in the distant future to re-start the [[Great War (G1)|Great War]]. Blackarachnia is concerned only with the power it possesses—but Megatron arrives just then, blasting Silverbolt offline and sealing the entrance to the caves behind him.

[[Image:Agenda 3 Blackarachnia codes.jpg|left|200px|thumb|What's it like to see things like Neo?]]
The Maximals arrive hot on his heels, find the sealed entrance, and start digging their way in. Inside, Megatron threatens to vaporize Silverbolt, convincing Blackarachnia to use the access codes to gain access to the Ark (though she vehemently maintains it's only so they'll have some cover in the face of the imminent Maximal attack). The Maximals burst through in time to see the two Predacons sealing the Ark behind them.

Blackarachnia activates the ship's defenses to hold off the Maximals, while Megatron goes to "effect a more permanent solution." Entering the main bridge of the ship, he hovers among the fallen Autobots and Decepticons, eulogizing the Decepticons and cursing the Autobots, until he comes face to face with his intended target—[[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]], the original [[Prime (rank)|leader]] of the [[Autobot]]s, who kept the Decepticons from victory (and therefore left their Predacon descendants in a subservient position to the dominant Maximals). Though the risk is incredible, Megatron decides to carry out [[Megatron (G1)|his namesake's]] instructions, charges his main weapon, and prepares to fire.

[[Image:Agenda3 MegatronOptimusPrime.jpg|right|200px|thumb|Don't worry, we know [[The many deaths of Optimus Prime|the drill]].]]
In the caves, the Maximals are pelted by fire from the ship's cannon, until Rattrap manages to force a backblast that deactivates the cannon and shields. [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]] struggles to open the mighty doors of the Ark. But the Maximals are too late—Megatron unleashes a full-power blast at Optimus Prime's head, destroying it.

A time storm immediately wells up, spreading outward from the Ark and into space. The Maximals find themselves phasing in and out of past bodies—as well as out of existence—as Megatron emerges from the Ark, triumphant.
==Notes==
===Animation and technical errors===
* During the opening battle scene, Optimus Primal takes several shots to the chest, leaving it blackened and dented. In the shot of the Maximals watching Ravage's ship explode, his chest is undamaged-and then it goes back to damaged as he talks about why Ravage betrayed them.
* After Ravage's ship goes down and the Maximals decide to chase after Megatron, Optimus transforms to flight mode. His front, back, and upper torso are all messed up, to the point that he has to spin around a few times after transforming. (While this is happening, the scene mostly switches to Rattrap climbing on Cheetor.) Optimus is normal again when he tells Rhinox to "Get on."
* In the first close-up of Megatron's face in the volcano (after he shoots Silverbolt and Blackarachnia), his face is very dark-almost black.
* After Megatron blasts the entrance shut and the Maximals get off and find it covered, for a split second, the colors on Rattrap's wheels (on his back) and his rat legs are reversed.
*Rattrap's front rat legs are the same shiny red as his rat body as the Maximals land outside the mountain.
*In the Ark flashback, Optimus Prime's autobrands are on the back of his shoulders.

===Continuity errors===
* This episode called into sudden question the location of the Maximal and Predacon bases. The events of "[[Code of Hero]]" seem to place the series firmly somewhere in Africa, where early Humanity evolved; the templates for the Maximals' beast modes (gorillas, cheetahs, rhinos) would seem to back this up. However, the Ark is traditionally seen to have crashed in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. If this is the case, the Maximals pursued Megatron across the Atlantic Ocean and over an entire continent! Even if the Ark touched down in Africa in this continuity, in "[[Possession]]", [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream's]] spark is ''clearly'' shown landing in the southwest United States. Also, the early humans still appear after any theoretical "crossing of the Atlantic" took place.
** In an early script of the [[Nemesis Part 2]] the Maximals would launch not the Autobot shuttle, but the Ark itself. This variation would perhaps provide some sort of explanation to the mystery, as the Ark might, for example, end up in North America after fight with the Nemesis.
* Either way, it doesn't make much sense that the Maximals make ''no'' attempt to shoot down Megatron while he's still on the run, rather than waiting till he reaches his destination. In his defense, Optimus may have thought that they were at a disadvantage during the chase: Only Rattrap is in any position to attack (Optimus and Cheetor being in flight mode and Rhinox probably having enough problems balancing on Optimus's hoverboard), and Megatron would be hard to hit (he's pretty far away, and not presenting much of a target from Rattrap's position). Of course, that still doesn't explain why Optimus doesn't just let Cheetor and Rattrap fly ahead and get a better shot—after all, [[Changing of the Guard|a later episode]] would prove that the espionage expert has pretty good aim even when hitching a flight.
* Blackarachnia claims that the [[Great War (G1)|Great War]] started in [[1984]], when [[Mount St. Hilary]] erupted. In both the Marvel comics and the cartoon, the war had started long before the ''Ark'' even crashed and gone on without interruption. At best, the reawakening of the ''Ark'' and ''Nemesis'' crews intensified the conflict.
* Ravage was in his cassette mode in the ship at the end of last episode, but is piloting it from the cockpit in this one. Given the nature of the former mode as essentially [[GEEWUN|fanservice]], this may not be terribly surprising.

===Transformers references===
[[Image:Agenda3-AutobotsonArkattack.jpg|right|thumb|300px|At the time, these guys hadn't gotten any work in a while.]]
*In reference to the strength of the Ark, Rattrap claims, "That ship wasn't built, it was poured!" Primal replies "Die-cast construction. It's a lost art," in homage to the original Transformer toys, which featured some [[die-cast]] parts.
*We get to see the Ark launch from Cybertron, along with a brief glimpse of Optimus Prime, [[Prowl (G1)|Prowl]], [[Jazz (G1)|Jazz]], [[Ratchet (G1)|Ratchet]] and [[Ironhide (G1)|Ironhide]] moving about, as well as a glimpse of the ''Nemesis'' attacking the Ark.
*The final act features a bonanza of cameo appearances by the original Generation 1 Transformers, including Prowl, Optimus Prime, [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]], Ironhide, [[Thundercracker (G1)|Thundercracker]], [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]], and [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]].

===Real-world references===
* Rattrap refers to his vehicle mode as Knievel mode, a reference to [[wikipedia:Evel_Knievel|Evel Knievel]].
* When Rattrap's torch goes out and he has to break through the ship with his beast mode's teeth, he calls himself the [[wikipedia:The_Stainless_Steel_Rat|Stainless Steel Rat]].
* During the short fight between Rhinox and Rampage, Rhinox dives through the air firing his guns in a homage to ''[[wikipedia:The Killer (1989 film)|The Killer]]''.
* As Rattrap rides the missile connected with Ravage's ship, he lets out a cowboy yell. This is an homage to Stanley Kubrick's ''[[wikipedia:Dr._Strangelove|Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb]]''.
* Blackarachnia refers to Silverbolt as "Jo-Jo", possibly in reference to [[wikipedia:Fedor_Jeftichew|Jo-Jo the Dog-Faced Boy]].
===Trivia===
[[Image:Agenda3 opening.JPG|right|180px|thumb|Yes, "Part Eye-Eye-Eye".]]
*Despite every other multi-part episode in ''Beast Wars'' using Arabic numerals in its title (including the first two parts of "The Agenda"), this episode opts for the Roman numeral for whatever reason.
* Megatron, to no one's surprise, is perfectly willing to sacrifice most of his team to defeat the Maximals. Blackarachnia, Inferno, Quickstrike, and Rampage were all originally Maximal protoforms (or, in Rampage's case, the product of Maximal science). If his plan to destroy the Autobots and Maximals retroactively had worked, he would have been left with a team consisting of Waspinator and Tarantulas. (Tarantulas's precise origins are unclear, but he's definitely not a descendant of the Autobots.)
*In any event, Megatron's plan would seem to be [[wikipedia:Temporal_paradox|temporally problematic]], since such a drastic change could've wiped out the Predacons (and himself) just as easily as the Maximals. Small wonder he "was reluctant to follow my namesake's instructions" and regards it as "the ultimate risk". Megatron's ending in the ''[[Transformers: Beast Wars Transmetals (N64)|Beast Wars Transmetals]]'' video game further elaborates on this, stating that with Optimus Prime dead, there would be no [[Matrix of Leadership|Matrix]], and, as such, nothing to [[The Transformers: The Movie|stop Unicron from destroying Cybertron]], an act that would wipe out Autobots and Decepticons.
*Apparently, Rhinox is afraid of heights. While sitting on Primal's hoverboard, he looks straight ahead, occasionally looking down and immediately snapping straight up with what looks like pure horror on his face.
*This episode finally reveals why Optimus has been so worried about Megatron's activities for the past few episodes; he's afraid that Megatron will use the information on the Golden Disk to find the Ark and alter history. Presumably, this is the matter of "great importance" Dinobot wished to speak with Optimus about at the end of "[[Maximal, No More]]".
*This episode marks the commencement of an ongoing error, whereby [[Teletraan I (G1)|Teletraan I]] is frequently pronounced "Tele''tron'' 1". The issue is resolved with [[Rattrap|extreme subtlety]] in "[[Nemesis Part 2]]".
*The word "suckers" is written on the giant missile in [[Cybertronix]].
*Bob Forward had originally intended to make Rattrap chew all the way through Ravage's ship in beast mode, rather than using a laser cutter first. In a sly remark on Madman's commentary of the episode, he states "My version would have been cheaper!"
*Megatron stating that "YOU NO LONGER EXIST!!!" could have also been referring to the viewer, given the fact that the show takes place on prehistoric Earth, with prehistoric humans, and the backlash of Prime's death may as well have affected the humans too.
Typically, Transformers use '''hammers''' as medical or construction tools, but they can also serve as effective hand-to-hand combat weapons ideal for breaking shield, thick armor or shattering limbs. For similar weapons, see [[Mace|maces and flails]].

===Beast Machines===
* [[Cybershark|Hammerstrike]] has a very hammer-like weapon in his robot mode.
===Unicron Trilogy===
* [[Red Alert (Armada)|Red Alert]] has a hammer attachment for his gun-appendage, in his Cybertron Defense body he has a hammerhead weapon.
* Sharing Red Alert's body, [[Cannonball (Cybertron)|Cannonball]] also has a hammer attachment for his gun-appendage.

===2007 Movie===
* [[Ratchet (Animated)|Ratchet]]'s deluxe class toy is packaged with a medical hammer, though it probably serves as an effective weapon as well.

===Marvel Crossovers===
* [[Thor]]'s signature weapon is [[Mjolnir]], a magical hammer that can create several types of energy blasts and with enough power to shatter mountains.

===Prime===
* [[Breakdown (Prime)|Breakdown]]'s hands transform into hammers.
==Synopsis==
[[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]] exuberantly "skis" through a field of space debris, leaving it ice-covered in his wake. Within [[Unicron]], [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] yawns. Cyclonus kicks some debris at [[Earth]]'s [[energon grid]], but the grid vaporizes it, before firing at him. [[Demolishor (Armada)|Demolishor]] voices his concerns to Megatron that Cyclonus will get hurt, and that something is wrong with his head after his recent reformatting. Megatron agrees, but tells Demolishor never to question his orders. Oh, and Cyclonus is "Snow Cat" now.

[[Image:Energon-Megatron-Yawn.jpg‎|thumb|left|My yawn is more powerful than CGI rendering software!]]

Megatron says they're changing plans; instead of wasting time attacking Earth, they'll find [[energon]] elsewhere. [[Alpha Quintesson|Alpha Q]] suspects this means attacking ''him'', to get the energon within Unicron's head.

The [[Autobot]]s enjoy the show from the surface as debris detonates against the grid. [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]] worries that Megatron will have a new scheme, and calls his troops together to plan their next move. [[Inferno (Energon)|Infernp]] asks [[Ironhide (Energon)|Ironhide]] to take his place at the meeting; [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] says he'll cover for Ironhide, who reminds him of his own youthful self, aspiring to be just like [[Rodimus (Energon)|Rodimus]].

Megatron is tired of Alpha Q's interference, and orders him destroyed, even though his troops have no idea where he is. [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] captures a spying [[Terrorcon (Energon)|Terrorcon]], and Megatron realizes that Alpha Q has been watching him the whole time.

Optimus Prime tells the troops that they still have to destroy Unicron to stop Megatron. Soon they'll take the battle into space, thanks to Ironhide's tracking devices. [[Kicker Jones|Kicker]] doesn't look too happy about this.

Hot Shot is trying to communicate with [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]], when an emergency communication comes in from Rodimus, who wants to speak to him in person.

[[Image:Energon-HotShot-Hand-Drawn.jpg|thumb|right|]]

Ironhide finds Kicker and tells him [[Misha Miramond|Misha]]'s worried about him, but is met with angry rebuke. Ironhide guesses that Kicker is scared of space. Further shouting is put aside when Kicker's hair glows, alerting him to a problem. The two run outside in time to see Hot Shot drive off onto the [[space bridge]] and vanish.

In space, Megatron is blowing up Terrorcons. Starscream tries to stop him, prompting Megatron to question his loyalty. When Starscream readily professes fealty, Megatron suspects Scorponok, and calls to him. On [[Mars (planet)|Mars]], Scorponok's Terrorcons are feeding, when he hears Megatron's call and prepares to depart.

Hot Shot arrives at the ruins of [[Mars City]]. He is surprised to find a mine shaft, the presence of which is soon explained by the arrival of Scorponok and the Terrorcons. The two have words, then Hot Shot starts destroying Terrorcons. Rodimus arrives just then... and stops him from doing further damage. Scorponok grumbles that Rodimus took his time arriving. He says he must continue obeying Megatron for now, and leaves. Hot Shot is incensed that Rodimus let him go, as the energon will be used to rebuild Unicron. Yet, to Hot Shot's shock, Rodimus says that Unicron ''must'' be rebuilt!

Ironhide, Kicker and a Skyblast arrive on Mars, looking for Hot Shot.

[[Image:Energon-Ironhide-Hand-Drawn.jpg|200px|thumb|left|Hey, this feels kinda good.]]

Rodimus explains that Unicron is being controlled by Alpha Q, who created the Terrorcons. Rodimus wants Hot Shot to hold off on attacking Unicron. Hot Shot says it's too much to ask, and if Rodimus tries to stop Optimus's team, he will become the enemy. Hot Shot raises his blaster, as the shocked Kicker and Ironhide watch.

Rodimus says they'd make a great team. He angrily orders Hot Shot to fire, but when he can't, Rodimus denounces him as weak and blasts him.

Ironhide and Kicker charge in; [[Skyblast (Energon)|Skyblast]] revives Hot Shot. At Kicker's urging, Ironhide attacks Rodimus, who [[transformation|transforms]] and drives off. Ironhide and Kicker pursue; Rodimus notes the presence of the human and comments that it's "perfect".

Suddenly another figure appears over the horizon: [[Prowl (Energon)|Prowl]], readying his gun. A laser lasso snares Ironhide and puts him down. Skyblast supplies Kicker with a [[Energon Sword|Megatron Sword]], which he uses to free Ironhide. Prowl and Rodimus [[Powerlinx]]. Confident in his power, Rodimus invites Kicker to come with him, as Alpha Q has become interested in him.

Ironhide arrives then, defending Kicker with the [[Energon Saber]], but Rodimus easily knocks him away with a burst of energy, followed by a laser assault; Ironhide shields Kicker. The odds are made worse by the arrival of Landmine. Rodimus says to leave them, dismissing Optimus's team as amateurs. The three drive off, telling Kicker they'll meet again.

[[Image:Energon-Scorponok-Impact.jpg|thumb|right|The cel animation looks better than the CGI! But...that's...impossible!]]

Ironhide is shocked to realize he's pulled a weapon on a superior officer. Hot Shot arrives and tells Ironhide he did the right thing, standing up for his teammates. Kicker tells him he'll be proud to go into space with Ironhide. In the Martian sky, a ship leaves for space.

Scorponok arrives back at Unicron with the Terrorcons, and is met by Tidal Wave and Starscream, who are there to ensure the energon goes where it's supposed to. Megatron questions Scorponok, who denies any loyalty to Alpha Q, or knowledge of his whereabouts. The watching Alpha Q wonders why Scorponok has betrayed him.

A while later, Megatron wonders if Alpha Q will come to rescue Scorponok, who is strapped to another artificial "comet", headed directly for Earth. Alpha Q watches, but says he can't risk his own safety for Scorponok's. The comet impacts the grid; Scorponok screams in agony as it explodes, begging Alpha Q to help him.
"I'm really glad... we have Optimus on our side."
:—'''Kicker''' loved it. It was much better than "Cats". He's going to see it again, and again.

"I can't let those Terrorcons steal any more energon. So don't even attempt to revive Unicron. That's our new mission. And that's why I'm gonna have to ask you to leave."
"But he's a needle in a haystack, sir."<br/>

==Notes==
===Lost in translation===
* The dub version has Snow Cat firing standard glowing pink lasers to freeze the ice. ''Super Link'''s animation has a blue-white beam instead.
* The dub changes a rather mundane report from Demolishor to Megatron, and Megatron's calm reply, into an angry rebuke by Megatron.
* In ''Super Link'', Inferno doesn't order Ironhide to ''take his place''; he tells him to stay and stand watch. Hot Shot's offer to relieve him therefore makes a lot more sense.
* Megatron's conversation in space with Starscream is a little bit jumbled in the dub, but the gist still comes across.
* Likewise for Hot Shot's little speech to Scorponok, quoted above.
* Kicker's "that took longer than I thought", re: the space bridge trip, is originally a comment from Ironhide about the fall from the portal to the surface — one of the few acknowledgments of the bizarre physics of the whole arrangement.
* Rodimus's dismissive snubbing of Optimus's troops is purely a dub addition.
* Likewise for Hot Shot's "What Would Optimus Do" bit, though the gist of the conversation is similar.

===Pain count===
As usual, the numbers are inversely proportional to the general quality of the episode, which means the count here is pretty low:

* "Uh?": 10
* Stock footage: 2
* It's time to: 1

===Trivia===
*As can be seen from the above images, throughout this episode, there are moments in which Transformers are drawn by hand instead of computer-generated, apparently because the animators weren't able to get decent movement out of the CGI models. This cel animation is of very good quality; one wonders how good the series could have been if it was used throughout.
**At the start, Megatron's yawning at Snow Cat's antics.
**Hot Shot's face when he confronts Rodimus.
**Prowl when he drags Ironhide.
**Ironhide when engaged by Landmine's tow cable.
**Scorponok when the comet he's on crashes into the energon grid.
*Some pretty peppy background music in this one, especially during Snow Cat's freeze beam sequence.
*More spiffy generics appear during Optimus's briefing, but most don't get any large-scale screen time.
*Misha has glasses in this episode. Hubba hubba!
*in Hot Shot's flashback, you can make out Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Gears, Ironhide, and Ratchet from g1.
'''Airachnid and Starscream struggle to control an Insecticon warrior.'''

==Synopsis==
Airachnid muses to Megatron about Soundwave's inevitable decryption of the [[Project Iacon|Iacon files,]] and requests for her tracking abilities to be enlisted in the search for the resulting coordinates. Megatron dismisses her, and Soundwave replays the audio of her suggestion to leave Megatron [[One Shall Rise, Part 2|earlier]]. He contacts Dreadwing, who replies with an oath of loyalty. The leader orders him to perform a task he normally performs [[Rock Bottom|himself]], but now leaves to his first officer. The Seeker is confused, as Airachnid holds that position, but his mission becomes clear—he is to dispose of the treacherous spider.

Breakdown, Dreadwing, and Airachnid follow the trail of an unconfirmed energon deposit. Airachnid is amused at the heavy backup, and takes the opportunity to grill Breakdown on his lack of skill, and lack of eye. Dreadwing attempts to calm him, but another insult puts him into a frenzy. He jumps at the spider, but is webbed in the face. Dreadwing joins the fray, but is pinned to a tree by Airachnid's webbing, but not before he lets off a blast which collapses a tree on Airachnid. She finds one of her legs damaged, and retreats. Breakdown gives chase, and finds her collapsed in a ravine. As he raises his hammer to finish her, webs immobilize it in the air. Airachnid raises a leg to slice him through.

A contingent of MECH soldiers come upon Breakdown's remains.

In a cave, Starscream pities his lot in life as he jumps for a meager scrap of energon. He is interrupted by a nearby rumbling that surprises him—it is an Insecticon, unearthing a large chunk of energon. He orders the brute to hand it over, but it attacks him, forcing him to hide. He witnesses the Insecticon bowing to another surprise—Airachnid. He makes himself known, and she makes her rogue status known, giving Starscream the idea to propose an alliance to overthrow Megatron with the help of her oversized herald. She proposes an alternative—she overthrows Megatron, and orders the Insecticon to destroy Starscream.

At base, Ratchet recieves another [[Orion Pax, Part 2|high frequency signal with an embedded message,]] again from Starscream, who promises valuable intel in exchange for medical aid. His intel proves none-too-relevant until he mentions the Insecticon, and provides Airachnid's location. Back at base, Arcee berates Ratchet and Bulkhead for letting him go again, but Optimus is confident in sparing helpless lifeforms, regardless of personal vendettas.

Airachnid contacts Megatron and proposes a challenge. He accepts, and forbids Dreadwing to follow him.

Megatron arrives at the mine, and is beset upon by the Insecticon, who ignores Megatron's orders to stand down and begins to beat him down. Before long, however, the former gladiator is on equal footing with the beast. The Autobots bridge in, and Arcee goes for Airachnid. Below, Megatron gains the upper hand, removing the Insecticon's limbs and finally decapitating it. Megatron announces his superiority, before falling. The Autobots surround him, and Optimus Prime prepares to execute him. Laser blasts fill the air, and Dreadwing, accompanied by a large detachment of Vehicons, surrounds them. They agree to trade their lives for Megatron's. As Dreadwing and Megatron fly off, Megatron shows his appreciation for Dreadwing's disregard of orders.

Arcee follows Airachnid, but finds herself suddenly stuck in a trap. As her rival prepares to finish her, a missile streaks through the air and pushes the spider off Arcee. She escapes as Starscream—intent on payback—continues to fire. Now alone with Arcee, the Seeker recalls her decision to spare him earlier, and cuts her down to settle his debt.

Underground, even as she swears her vengeance, Airachnid comes upon the source of her warrior—an entire nest of Insecticons.
==Notes==
=== Animation and technical errors ===
*When Bulkhead jumps out of the GroundBridge with Ratchet following behind, the wrecking ball on his left arm somehow transforms silently and invisibly back to his hand.
*When the Insecticon throws Megatron into the air and slashes at him with its horn, it injures him and Energon/mech fluid is splattered from the wound. When Megatron recovers, no injury is visible.

===Continuity errors===
*Soundwave's trace of Airachnid's signal appears to locate her around about Bolivia, while the Autobot trace of the same signal places it on the north coast of South America, in Guyana or Suriname.
*Starscream's missiles reappear on his arms after he fires them.
*Wheeljack is strangely absent. maybe he was looking for Dreadwing?

===Continuity notes===
*Arcee reminds the team yet again of how Airachnid took [[Tailgate (Prime)|Tailgate]] away from her.
*Starscream hasn't forgotten how Arcee let him live after their last encounter from "[[Partners]]".
*Soundwave plays dialogue from "[[One Shall Rise, Part 2]]" to remind Megatron what Airachnid thinks of him.
*MECH comes across the dismembered remains of Breakdown, and cites it as a "[[Operation: Breakdown|familiar face]]".
'''Airachnid and Starscream struggle to control an Insecticon warrior.'''

==Synopsis==

This is the page for the '''TFWiki.net Transformers Hall of Fame Auditions''' entries. The rules are as follows:

#You must pick your top five ''Transformers'' characters, from any era. They must actually '''be''' Transformers; sorry, but no humans, non-Transformer aliens, non-Transformer robots, or anything else of the sort are being considered for the Hall of Fame. Any votes for such entities will '''not''' be tabulated. It is the sole discretion of the contest organizers to decide what does and does not count.
#Take your top five list and '''put it in alphabetical order'''. Order of preference does not matter. Feel free to denote the character's franchise of origin, although these distinctions may or may not figure into the final results.
#You '''cannot''' vote for a specific version of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream, Dinobot, Ironhide, Ratchet, Soundwave, or Waspinator. They've already been inducted!
##You '''also''' can't vote for '''Grimlock, Jazz or Shockwave'''. They're being automatically inducted this year!
#'''However, you CAN vote for ''[[Beast Wars (franchise)|Beast Wars]]'' [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] or [[Optimus Primal]]! Hasbro considers them separate!'''
#Only one entry per user.

Please put your characters of choice and user name below in the following manner:
