* Corey Burton confirmed via his messageboard on CoreyBurton.com that he based his vocal characterization for G1 Shockwave on his impression of actor David Warner who played the villain in a number of films and TV shows (Titanic, Tron, Time Bandits, Batman: The Animated Series, Freakazoid).
*Corey Burton stated in an interview that [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] was by far his favorite character to perform in the [[The Transformers (cartoon)|original show]]. He does however think ''Animated'' Shockwave could take Generation 1 Shockwave in a fight.
