The Pax Cybertronia was the unilateral peace accord signed after the Autobots defeated the Decepticons in the Great War. Little is known about how it came into existence, but it is known that Optimus Prime played an incredibly significant role in making it happen.fact

Accords of surrender
When the Decepticons surrendered at the end of the Great War, terms were drawn up to keep the peace until a formal treaty could be written. Any Autobot or Decepticon criminals acting outside of this agreement was a fair target for military action.

Under the accords, the Predacon alliance was subject to such strict economic sanctions the production of new Predacon protoforms slowed to a bare trickle, and the Tripredacus Council feared that any overt confrontation with the Maximals could doom their entire race to extinction. During this period the Tripredacus Council began aggressively undermining the actions of Predacon rebels, hoping to shield them from destruction by the Maximal Imperium so that they might live to fight another day. This, combined with the original surrender, permanently soured the Council's reputation among their fellow Predacons, leading many to consider them self-interested opportunists and traitors to the Predacon cause.

The accords were in effect for 50 Stellar cycles before they were succeeded by the Pax Cybertronia. The Razor's Edge

Fiction
Beast Wars
According to the known terms, it places the Decepticons (and later their descendants the Predacons) at great disadvantage, with the Autobots (and later the Maximals) firmly in control. It kept the peace on Cybertron, while keeping much information away from the Transformers about their ancestors.

Leading up to the Beast Era, powerful factions within the Predacon Alliance such as the Tripredacus Council want to continue to build up their resources under the restrictions placed on them by the Pax Cybertronia before a new campaign of conquest. This is a major point of contention between the leadership of the Alliance and sub-factions that would prefer action today.

Trivia
*The Pax Cybertronia appears to be based on the Pax Romana.
*The reluctance of the Predacons and their subservient role in the new world is also somewhat reminiscent of a post-WWI Germany, which was forced to pay excessive reparations and was restricted in its weapons development, or to the modern Neo-Confederate movement in response to the conclusion of the American Civil War.
*Megatron's comment on the Predacons merely "biding their time", that and the covert schemes of the Tripredacus Council, shows evidence of them treating the era as a secretive, undeclared cold war.
Dinobot challenges Optimus Primal to mortal combat for the leadership of the Maximals. Rhinox wonders if the rest of them get a say, while Rattrap is indifferent and Cheetor offers to nail the Predacon himself. Optimus tries to talk sense to Dinobot, saying he's welcome to join the group, but not as leader. Dinobot is unimpressed; the two duel. Rattrap has to restrain Cheetor from joining in. Primal knocks Dinobot down, and the Predacon tells him to finish the job, but Optimus refuses, and Dinobot responds by blasting him, almost sending the Maximal leader over the edge. Dinobot helps him back up, stating that Primal slipped and that winning the fight that way would not have been honorable.

As they continue to fight, Megatron and his crew arrive, taking the chance to attack both combatants. Primal transforms to beast mode, pulling Dinobot out of the way of the missiles, but leaving the pair dangling over the ravine. Dinobot begins suffering from energon buildup, and pleads with Optimus to let him fall so that Optimus might save himself, but Optimus naturally refuses. The pair is saved at the last moment by Rhinox. This is the signal for another attack from the Predacons, which takes out the rock bridge. The Maximals (bar Rattrap, who has to be saved by Optimus) reach the other side of the bridge in time.

Megatron takes his frustrations out on Terrorsaur, but Scorponok points to where some of the Predacon missiles have struck a mountain, unveiling a massive cache of energon crystals. The Predacons set out for the mountain, but they're spotted heading for the energy crystals by the Maximals. Rhinox and Rattrap are ready to scrap Dinobot before starting out, but Optimus stops them. They set out for the mountain as well, though Rattrap is less than impressed with the news that Dinobot is coming too.

En route, Rhinox suggests Optimus fly ahead using his jets, but Primal believes there's strength in numbers. They spot a strange stone circle, obviously artificially built, but are interrupted in their discussion by the arrival of Terrorsaur and Waspinator. Optimus takes to the air and scares them off with a missile. As the two Predacons flee, Dinobot fires on them with his optical lasers, inadvertently blasting the ledge above them. Rhinox is forced to leap aside as a boulder comes crashing down on him, and Rattrap accuses him of intentionally trying to slag Rhinox. Optimus orders him to stand down.

The Predacons arrive at the mountain, though as Tarantulas points out, the energy will force them to remain in their beast modes. The Maximals arrive at roughly the same time, and both sides eye each other across a pass through the top mountain. After the prerequisite speech from Megatron, both sides charge and begin tearing into one another in beast form. Despite biting a chunk out of Optimus, Megatron is thrown aside and, as a last desperate gamble, transforms and fires a missile on Optimus. Dinobot throws himself between the pair, knocking the missile with his tail and saving Primal, but the missile begins a chain reaction. Both teams quickly flee.

As the Maximals watch the resultant explosions, Dinobot explains that his actions are payment of a debt—he owed Primal his life; now they are even. Primal says that's good enough for the moment, and proclaims that the Beast Wars have begun.

Notes
* During the audio commentary for this episode on Madman Entertainment's Beast Wars Season 3 DVD, Garry Chalk's cell phone suddenly rings, forcing him to step outside, while Scott McNeil and Alec Willows crack jokes about it being Garry's mom on the line.

Animation or technical glitches
* Waspinator's bee-stripes on his thighs are mapped along the wrong axis.
* As the Maximals start for the energon mountain and Rattrap is left behind if you look closely you'll see Optimus' legs are messed up
* Often, when the "energon mountain" appears in the distance, a large piece of energon in the foreground clips and flickers, making it appear as though the energon is appearing and disappearing at random.
* Though Megatron takes quite a chunk out of Primal's left leg during the final battle, the damage disappears when the Maximals retreat.

Continuity errors
* During the scene with Dinobot, in the background, the Axalon is missing from its crash site.

* After the energon mountain explodes and the Maximals are seen ducking for cover, every shot showing Optimus Primal and Dinobot in the foreground features none of the other Maximals in the background, even though they were seen standing behind the pair moments earlier, and both Rattrap and Rhinox are seen when Rattrap thinks they have won. Oddly enough, Cheetor is no longer in the scene at all.

* The very same scene features a lot of rubble from the destroyed mountain in close-ups of Rattrap and Rhinox, but relatively little rubble when Optimus Primal and Dinobot are in the foreground.

*Megatron transforms without his command code.

Plot errors
* Scorponok directs Megatron's attention to the missiles approaching the mountain. The missiles then hit the mountain, revealing it to be full of energon. There's no reason to believe Scorponok knew the energon was there, so why did he care about the imminent impact of the missiles?
* Megatron deciding to destroy the mountain is...questionable. Though Optimus Primal managed to throw him into a rock face, Primal himself was down and crippled, while Megatron appeared ready to keep fighting.

Synopsis

Little is known of the mysterious order referred to as the Sith, a group shrouded in many layers of secrecy and deception. What is known is that like the Jedi order, they believe in a mystical bioenergy field called the "Force", which is apparently dualistic in nature. The Sith claim to draw their power from the "dark side" of said Force, which is fed by strong negative emotion, allowing them to use a form of "magic".

What little history of their home galaxy has been revealed to us suggests that the Sith have been engaged in many campaigns against the Galactic Republic and the Jedi order, often using other factions at a remove, such as the Mandalorians and, more recently, the Separatists.

They do not seem to have very many mechs at their disposal compared to other known factions. Whether this is due to a reliance on their Force or a desire not to have traceable links to known manufacturers of battle machines is unknown. However, their use of the Force gives them a considerable combat advantage, making use of mechs potentially unnecessary.
Leo pointed out Alice to Sam as he was moving into the dorms at Princeton University. Leo explained to Sam that he had a thing for the bounteously endowed blonde, and he wanted to make sure Sam knew it so he didn't steal her away. Later that night, Leo had dragged Sam to a fraternity party, where the wayward Witwicky became engrossed in writing Cyberglyphics symbols in the cake frosting. This caught Alice's eye, and she decided she simply had to strike up a conversation with the boy who'd just accidentally stuck chocolate frosting in his ear. Though Sam protested against her rather forceful advances, she ignored his pleas until her attempt at seduction was interrupted by the timely arrival of Bumblebee on the fraternity house's lawn. Sam appeared grateful for the reprieve until Alice invited herself for a ride. Bumblebee tried his best to monkey-wrench her attempts at conversation with Sam during the ride, but eventually got frustrated and went the expedient route of dousing her in antifreeze. Alice got out and left in a huff.

Later on, Alice made her way to Sam's dorm room to talk to him without the meddling yellow one around. En route she was engaged by Leo, who again proclaimed his desires for her and offered her a meat-laden pizza. She icily ignored him, finding the true object of her desires when the dorm room's door was opened to reveal Sam, who had covered every flat surface in it with Cyberglyphic symbols. Leo, figuring out what was to come next, asked if he could at least watch. Alice summarily shut the door in his face. Once again giving Sam the hard-sell, she forced him onto the bed and began probing his oral region with her tongue. Meanwhile, an entirely different probing appendage snaked out from beneath her skirt. Stealthily retracting the metallic tentacle when Mikaela Banes burst in, Alice waited until the human had left, and then proceeded to extrude it again and wrap it about Sam's neck, closing off his windpipe. Mikaela returned, hearing Sam's strangled cries, and dislodged Alice by throwing the toolbox containing Wheelie at her. Leo returned at this point, only to flee as Alice transformed into a robotic war machine!

Alice chased the trio out of the dorm, and through the campus library where she destroyed several shelves with energy blasts, eventually firing wide and blasting a hole in the library wall. Her quarry fled through the opening and Mikaela hotwired a car. Catching up with them, Alice leaped onto the hood and tried to get at Sam by smashing through the windshield. Mikaela tried to shake Alice off by driving, but had no luck until she rammed the car, and thus the Decepticon infiltrator, into a lamp post. Mikaela sped off, making sure to grind what was left of Alice under the car's tires on the way. Revenge of the Fallen (film)
After Alice kicked Leo out of his own dorm room so she could seduce Sam, he watched some TV with his buddies Sharsky and Fassbinder. While flipping through channels, they came across an advertisement featuring an animatronic Alice from Alice in Wonderland which had an uncanny resemblance to their classmate Alice. Leo went back to the dorm room to tell Sam there was something weird about his new girlfriend, but she had already revealed herself. Revenge of the Fallen Movie Adaptation Revenge of the Fallen (novel)

{{note|This event was not mentioned in the film, except for the very last bit where Leo showed up at the door and started to say something about Alice but was interrupted. Alice apparently survived being smashed to pieces and repaired herself, going on the run soon afterwards. It appears she became a little unstable (well, more unstable) and hijacked the motor home of a middle-aged couple, leading to her being pursued by NEST. Soundwave thought her alt-mode was "misguided," as he worried exposure to human culture would cause her to contract their "madness."

He had no qualms when Sideswipe ended the hijacking situation by impaling her and putting Alice out of everyone's misery.
* Alice having an outer organic form is an homage for the fans to the Pretenders.
* In the novel adaptation, Alice had a manufacturer's nameplate on her neck from the animatronic Alice she apparently scanned.
* Also in the novel adaptation, while Alice was seducing Sam at the frat party she claimed to be from Orlando. Orlando is where Walt Disney World is located and would be a likely location of the Alice in Wonderland animatronic tour. She also claimed to have a boyfriend from there, who was a prince. Walt Disney World is also home to a number of princes. Finally, during the commercial where the animatronic Alice appears, "Mickey, the friendly mouse" is mentioned. Who said Revenge of the Fallen doesn't have a tight continuity?
* When Alice reveals her robotty bits, her human flesh sort of folds away, presumably taking her clothing along with it, as when she reappears in human form, she's still fully dressed. On the other hand, she clearly changed clothes throughout the course of the film, which poses some, ah, interesting questions.
* While in robot mode, the tip of her tongue stays "organic". It's really disturbing.
* Some stunts for Alice were performed by stuntwoman Tarah Paige.
The first Predacon to exhibit cyber venom was Tarantulas, who was soon joined by Blackarachnia, the Fuzor Quickstrike, and later Megatron (only after putting his ancestor's spark in his body and morphing into a dragon).Nemesis Part 2 The first and second would employ spiny or explosive darts to inject their victims with the technological toxin, while the third fired it from his left head in a manner reminiscent of a spitting cobra, but could also inject it with a bite, as could the fourth. In all three cases, Transformers suffering the effects of cyber venom were typically incapacitated by the toxin, either having to be cleansed in a CR chamber, or wait for the venom to run its course. While the venom was in effect, the Transformer’s body would be marbled with glowing patches of energy, and emit low-pitch feedback.

The effects of the venom were notoriously inconsistent, from being able to incapacitate powerful warriors like Depth Charge, to causing only pain, such as when Quickstrike injected it directly into Silverbolt's leg. Others, such as Dinobot II, were able to shake the effects of the venom quickly, requiring higher doses before being rendered inoperative.

Several Predacons who have venomous beast modes never showed any use of cyber venom:

*Scorponok (scorpion) (though he did use a "toxic sting" in robot mode on the Vok's biological building in "Other Voices Part 1", firing the red stinger on his tail into the wall after charging it with venom, which opened a hole the Maximals used to enter)
When the Autobot Elita-1 attempted to use her mimicking powers on a horde of giant, alien spiders, she contaminated herself with their venom, causing her body to become partially organic. Gaining a pair of deadly, bladed stingers, she could now inject her victims with a powerful toxin, while simultaneously using her mimicking powers to copy their unique modifications.

Blackarachnia’s poison was consistently potent and dangerous. Not only was it capable of dropping powerful and durable foes like Bulkhead and Grimlock with ease, but its effects, being based on organic sources, could not be treated by the Key. Along Came a Spider Normally, Blackarachnia used only enough venom to disable her foes, but if she chose, she could bring the dosage up to lethal levels, requiring the administration of an antidote to prevent the victim from going offline permanently. Black Friday (episode)
Synopsis
Silverbolt dutifully patrols the Maximals' fortified entrance to Mount St. Hilary. Megatron, trying another attack on the Maximals' base, sends sub-commander Waspinator with a large explosive (from…somewhere) to destroy the patrolling Fuzor. Waspinator delivers the missile and destroys Silverbolt's gunning turret, and when Primal, Cheetor, and Rattrap rush outside to defend their home, Waspinator commands a full attack. But without support from additional troops, Waspinator is quickly crushed by Primal.

Hiding out of Primal's sight, Tarantulas blows a dart that burrows itself into Primal's foot, crawls through the Maximal leader's interior machinery, and accesses Primal's own spark. Primal disregards the infection, tells Cheetor to "take a rest" with a suspiciously Western drawl, and punches out the young Maximal.

Blackarachnia returns to the Maximal base, surprised by the open doors. She finds the entire interior dark. Primal sneaks up on the arachnid, and when she reveals that Depth Charge isn't with her, he grabs her as if she were a toy. With the widow restrained, Megatron and his crones step out of the darkness. Quickstrike is revealed to be controlling Optimus by piloting a large, mechanical suit of similar form to Primal's body. The other Maximals are being kept deactivated in a hanging cage.

Meanwhile, Quickstrike uses Primal's body to give Megatron access to the Ark's interior. Megatron walks through the halls of the ship to find what he's looking for: his namesake Megatron. The Predacon leader opens his own chest, and a tentacle reaches out of it to access the spark of his predecessor. After a bit of struggle, Megatron takes both sparks into his body. While Megatron convulses from the pain of containing two sparks, Quickstrike, who is secretly working for Tarantulas, dumps his leader into one of the lava pits outside.

Blackarachnia is left in the care of Rampage, who delights in causing her pain, but she overpowers the massive Transmetal crab by using her telekinesis to knock him down with a steel girder. She sneaks through the base, then leads Inferno away from the Maximals he's supposed to be protecting and locks him outside so she can free her team.

Quickstrike gives Tarantulas access to Teletraan I. Tarantulas then sends Quickstrike away to destroy the Maximals while he rigs the Ark to explode, which will kill all Autobots and Decepticons within it. As Tarantulas leaves the Ark, Megatron emerges from the lava, now reconfigured into a dragon form by his plunge into the molten rock and the additional spark within him. Megatron burns the spider who betrayed him and tosses Tarantulas into a distant lava pool as punishment for failing.

Quickstrike, still piloting his armor, finds Blackarachnia and double-teams her using Optimus's body, which is still under his control. But with a well-placed blast, she causes the two giants to fall over each other. The fall frees Optimus, who remembers what he did under Quickstrike's control, and he and Blackarachnia head back into the Ark to prevent the devastation.

Megatron finds Optimus, and the two enhanced transformers battle. While Blackarachnia tries to save the Ark, Megatron shows off his new abilities against his most hated enemy. Blackarachnia saves the Ark with just a single klik to spare. Optimus is then saved from Megatron by the combined firepower of the other Maximals, who force Megatron to retreat. But with the spark of the original Megatron still in his possession, Megatron has gained a new advantage in the Beast Wars.

Notes
* Although the toy is a Transmetal 2 and has detailing consistent with the other Transmetal 2 figures, within the context of the story, Megatron's upgrade is not related to the Transmetal driver and is never called a Transmetal 2 in the series. The stylistic difference from "Optimal Optimus" can be attributed to the lava, which Megatron likely wouldn't have survived had he not been in the process of being upgraded, as falling into lava killed Terrorsaur and Scorponok.
* When Primal finally gains control of himself and tells Blackarachnia that Megatron gained control of Teletraan I, he actually says Teletraan instead of Teletron. Although every other time it's said in this episode, it's pronounced Teletron.

Continuity errors
* It is unclear why Tarantulas and Quickstrike expected (Beast Wars) Megatron to expire in the lava, given Tarantulas suffers the same fate, but immediately climbs out of the lava moments later. Although it's possible that throwing Megatron into lava was just Quickstrike's idea.
* Megatron is not shown putting Generation 1 Megatron's spark back in its body. Even at the end of the series, the spark was never shown again, nor was it even mentioned that it had been replaced. There is only Primal's statement that "all is as it should be" (made in "Nemesis Part 2") to go on. However, the spark's replacement was written into the "Nemesis" script and even animated—it was simply cut for time from the final episode. A clip of this animation can be seen on BWTF.com's page for this episode and was included as an extra in Kid Rhino's DVD release of Beast Wars season 3.
* The computer that Blackarachnia uses seems to have been designed for human-size figures, rather then the larger Autobot occupants. Of course the controls could have been built when the Ark was constructed for the roughly human-sized transformers, such as the ones with cassette alternate modes.

Technical/animation glitches
*When Megatron says he has "Almost collected the whole set" his head has the wrong colors. Instead of his usual Transmetal head, the colors match that of his Dragon form. Strangely, earlier shots in this scene have the correct color scheme.

Transformers references
* Well, there is the original Megatron, but he's only in stasis lock.
* Blackarachnia (after saying "I can play your game too") saves the day by uploading "datatrax Viron" into Teletraan-1, which is the same datatrax Tarantulas used against the Metal Hunter.
* Megatron's tampering with Generation 1 Megatron's spark will have bizarre results several million years later when the original Megatron battles Optimus Prime in "Decepticon Leader Megatron Black Ver."

Real-world references
* Megatron counts "Six little Maximals, I've almost collected the whole set!" several Transformer fans collect the toys—and many fans make a point to collect specifically the toys of characters appearing on the show.

* While revealing himself in his new form, Megatron cries out "Enter the dragon!", which is also the title of a Bruce Lee movie.

* The title of the episode, "Master Blaster", is also the title of an old computer game, and a song by Stevie Wonder. However, it's clear from context that it primarily refers to the dwarf/giant duo from the film "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome".

Trivia
* The power-suit frame used by Quickstrike in this episode is later used by the Vok to create Primal Prime in "Primeval Dawn Part 1".

* This episode establishes that there are other equally powerful sparks; Prime's not being the only one.

* In an early version of episode's plot, Megatron decided to steal and absorb the original Megatron's spark only after failing at another attempt to kill Optimus Prime.

* A techno-blowgun? Well, whatever works, works, we suppose.

The Predacons have a penchant for taking alternate modes based on venomous animals. Sometimes this extends to mimicry of their assumed form’s most powerful weapon, in the form of cyber venom.

Like the venom from their beast mode’s template, cyber venom causes all manner of detrimental effects on other Cybertronians stricken by it. Like true venoms, cyber venom must typically be injected into the inner mechanisms of its victim to be effective. Delivery is often in the form of barbed darts, stingers or fangs, though some instances of it being launched as energy bolts have been recorded.

Official sources such as the official character profiles included with the season one DVDs describe cyber venom as being composed of viral programs that are uploaded into the unfortunate victim, corrupting and infecting with rapid speed. WHICH official sources?
Fiction
Beast Wars
The first Predacon to exhibit cyber venom was Tarantulas, who was soon joined by Blackarachnia, the Fuzor Quickstrike, and later Megatron (only after putting his ancestor's spark in his body and morphing into a dragon). The first and second would employ spiny or explosive darts to inject their victims with the technological toxin, while the third fired it from his left head in a manner reminiscent of a spitting cobra, but could also inject it with a bite, as could the fourth.

*Waspinator (wasp)
*Inferno (fire ant)

Animated

Known Transformers possessing cyber venom:
Fiction

*Waspinator (wasp)
*Inferno (fire ant)

Animated

Kaon is a Decepticon-controlled city-state in the southern hemisphere of Cybertron.

Fiction
Dreamwave Generation One comics
Far from the civilized metropolitan titans of the north half of the planet, Kaon was inhabited by a radical citizenry unsatisfied with the Autobot High Council and its maintained status quo. It was here that the industrial creations, the smelting pools, were first used to melt down living beings, a practice other city-states found horrible and barbaric. Disaffected, unruly, and thirsty for slaughter, Kaon was an obvious location for the fomenting of Megatron's underground Decepticon movement.

Its capital is the fortress city of Kolkular.

Optimus Prime forced Megatron through a space bridge in Kaon, causing the space bridge to explode and both to disappear. Fragmentation

IDW Generation 1 comics
Kaon was known to be one of the worst places on Cybertron. Thus, Sentinel Prime was operating out there when Megatron and his fellow miners fled there. One of Kaon's notable features were a series of underground gladiatorial combats run by Clench. After Megatron killed Clench, he took over the games as a method of recruiting gladiators into the Decepticon army. After being freed by Starscream and Soundwave, the Decepticons launched an attack on Kaon, and took control of the city, using it as their base to direct the campaign against the Autobots. Megatron Origin

Cybertron comic
Whether Decepticons were ever stationed here is unknown. What is known is that there are some smart-nukes in cold storage. After Ramjet was defeated and imprisoned, Over-Run, now in control of the planetary network, saw that one of Ramjets Mini-Cons (which one is never revealed) had escaped, so he sent one of the smart-nukes after it. It appeared to have made its mark. Revelations Part 2
In the War for Cybertron game, the Decepticons are going to be based out of Kaon. The city is a rusting, haphazardly built mess, because who has time to build a proper city when there's so much smashing to do?

:Kolkular is one of two distinguishable cities molded into the surface of Primus's planet mode, designed specifically to match its appearance in Dreamwave's The War Within comics and DK's Transformers: The Ultimate Guide. In Primus's robot mode, Kolkular ends up on the underside of Primus's heel, which is probably symbolic. The city actually has limited articulation all of its own, being able to "pop up" when in planet mode to better represent Kolkular.

:The other city is the Autobot city-state Iacon, which, similar to the depiction on the Cybertron map in the Ultimate Guide, is placed on the opposite end of the toy from Kolkular. Its placement, however, is likely a coincidence.

Even though NEST had successfully destroyed the Decepticon infiltrators in Shanghai, China, the new President of the United States was horrified by the destruction caused during the operation. President Obama sent Director Theodore Galloway to Diego Garcia to outline the White House's criticisms of NEST's operations and their alliance with the alien Autobots, in particular Optimus Prime's open invitation for Autobot refugees to come to Earth. They feared that reason the Decepticons being on Earth was to seek vengeance upon the Autobots and their allies, and when General Morshower attempted to defend Major Lennox and his men's judgement by stating they were above reproach, Galloway stated that as far as the President was concerned, nobody was above reproach. He directly asked Optimus Prime that if the President felt that the United States' national security was better served by having the Autobots leave Earth, would they do so peacefully? Optimus Prime agreed, but bluntly told Galloway to pass along a message to the President: What if the Autobots leave, and the humans are wrong?

Soon afterwards, Optimus Prime was killed in battle defending Sam Witwicky, and The Fallen began his invasion of Earth. Among the casualties were Paris, France, and the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt. Appalled with the loss of several thousand lives, the President ordered the deactivation of NEST and the immediate transportation of the Autobots back to Diego Garcia. Galloway also revealed Obama was even being forced to consider The Fallen's demands that Sam Witwicky be turned over to the Decepticons, as a "diplomatic" solution to the war. Lennox played along until he found an opportunity: While NEST and the corpse of Prime were being flown back to base, Lennox used an apparent emergency to trick Galloway into parachuting out. Lennox then took his team rogue, flying to Egypt to meet with Sam and Seymour Simmons, who found a way to resurrect Prime and defeat The Fallen. Revenge of the Fallen (film)
* While on the campaign trail, the real-life Barack Obama met Michael Bay by chance in an airport, and the two had a mutually-complimentary conversation. Whatever the case, some conservative movie critics rejoiced over Obama's (possibly accidental) negative portrayal in the movie.fact

* In an alternate timeline presented in the UK Titan comics, in which the Decepticons were victorious in the battle of Mission City, Obama did not become the next President of the United States. Instead, when the previous President was killed, fictional Vice President Theodore Allen succeeded him. Transformers Comic issue 14

"Dark Glass" was an unproduced episode planned for Beast Wars third season, written by Christy Marx. It was replaced by "Go with the Flow".

Episode outline
On February 17, 1999, Transformers fan Joona I Palaste posted to alt.toys.transformers a brief summary of the plot which had been related to him by Larry DiTillio:

Rattrap salvages a computer bank from the Axalon and in it's circuits he and Rhinox find the Core consciousness of the old DinoBot (which as you will recall DinoBot downloaded in a previous episode). Rattrap gets obsessed with the idea that he can restore the old DinoBot by getting it into the new Dinobot's systems. Rhinox tells him this will probably not work, as core consciousness without a spark is only an illusion of the person to whom it belonged. And if it didn't work, it just might give the new Dinobot all the old Dinobot's datatrax on the Maximals which could give the Preds and advantage. Optimus thus forbids the attempt. But Rattrap defies this order, sneaks out and at much risk to himself, does manage to get the core consciousness in place. For a moment the old DinoBot does seem to emerge but as Rhinox warned he is only a shadow of his former self and must do everything he can to keep the new DinoBot from regaining control of his body, a weird mental struggle which would have been fun to animate. The old Dinobot knows he is doomed to lose this struggle and tries to "sacrifice" himself again by infiltrating the Preds and taking out Megatron before he can complete his master plan to destroy the AutoBots. It doesn't work and the New Dinobot regains control of his body only to be blasted by Megatron. Rattrap comes to accept that his old pal is truly dead and realizes he cannot bring him back. However he honors his friends memory.

Details of rejection
Word that the "Dark Glass" script had been rejected reached the fan community before the third season of Beast Wars even began airing. Rumors ran rampant that the script had been rejected for being "too dark", and this account was seemingly confirmed by DiTillio in an August 10, 1998 post to ATT and by Marx in a November 16, 1998 post to a Jem mailing list.

Several months later, on the same day that Palaste posted the plot summary, Jon Hartman also posted to ATT to say that Claster, the series distributor, had rejected the episode because the story did not have enough action. This statement is in moderate conflict with the earlier statements by parties closer to the events in question, but grimness and a lack of action could certainly go hand-in-hand. Additionally, Claster at this time was a subsidiary of Hasbro, so it possible that Hartman's claims are simply a more detailed description than had been provided by DiTillio or Marx.

Many years later, however, on Madman Entertainment's 2006 Region 4 Beast Wars Season 3 DVD, the same Larry DiTillio said this:

Q: Is it true that there was to be an episode called "Dark Glass" in season 3, but refused production by Hasbro?

A: No, this is actually not true. "Dark Glass" was rumored as a lost episode that was to feature Rattrap attempting to restore the original Dinobot's personality to Dinobot 2, and that when the episode was refused, "Go with the Flow" was made instead. The truth is that "Dark Glass" was written for season 2 and rejected by the story editors, not Hasbro, because the script was not up to standard. The script was replaced by "Transmutate", a great episode that was a better fit for season 2."

Given that eight years had passed when he said this, it is likely that he misremembered the sequence of events. This account contradicts statements by himself and Marx, a sneak peek at the episode list <small>(broken link)</small> for season 3 seen at 1998, and the confusion surrounding the failed distribution of the script at Transcon III (see below). Therefore, the DVD account should be taken quite skeptically.

Availability of the script
Although the episode was dropped from the schedule long before any animation or voice recording would have been done, the "Dark Glass" did have a full first-draft script written by Marx, which was then rewritten once by DiTillio, as stated in his post from August 10, 1998.

On August 29, 1998, just a couple weeks after DiTillio explained the rejection, toy dealer Dennis Barger of Men in Black Collectibles—the organizers of 1996—posted to the thread to announce that he had acquired a copy of Marx's script from her. For his upcoming unofficial convention, Transcon III, he planned to place the original in a charity auction, and distribute reproductions to all attendees. Hearing concerns from fans, Barger later stated that he would have all recipients of the script sign non-disclosure agreements to prevent spoilers from being leaked until the third season had aired. (Transcon III was to take place in September 1998, while season three wouldn't even premiere until October.) However, as stated in Marx's Jem list post, and later summarized on ATT by Rob Powers, Barger had not obtained the proper approvals from Hasbro and/or Mainframe, and the whole affair fell apart. The script was returned to Marx. Furthermore, Mainframe decided that no scripts were ever to be released to the public again, and indeed, although scripts for seasons one and two of Beast Wars were available on Ben Yee's website, those for season three and Beast Machines were never put up.

There was a sizeable interest in the script from fans, and Dave "Zobovor" Edwards even gathered over 500 signatures to a petition for the script's release, but he never received a response and by September 1999, he threw in the towel.

Story significance
Fans have extrapolated that this episode would have explained Dinobot's re-emerged personality in the show's final episode, "Nemesis Part 2".

In that episode, Rampage, whose spark powered the Transmetal II clone of Dinobot, was killed, and his spark extinguished. At the same time, Dinobot II suddenly seemed to remember the last moments of the original Dinobot, and his behavior changed drastically; speaking of honor, he defied Megatron and essentially switched sides (before dying again).

These events are difficult to explain, perhaps especially so without "Dark Glass". The Dinobot II body was a clone of the original Dinobot, but did not (as far as is known) possess his core consciousness, memories, engrams, etc. Rather, Dinobot II seems to have been a shell program written by Megatron running on top of a fragment of Rampage's spark. In this case, it is unclear why, in the absence of Rampage's spark, Dinobot II would suddenly act more like Dinobot I. However, if the events of "Dark Glass" are taken to have occurred off-camera, it becomes easier to understand: two shell programs and a spark all fighting for dominance over a single body. With the spark gone, the Dinobot I shell may have had an opportunity to take over.

On the other hand, even with "Dark Glass", the picture is incomplete. Dinobot saw visions of the original Dinobot's last moments, his battle with the Predacons in the rift valley at the end of "Code of Hero". These memories could not have been part of the download Dinobot made into the Axalons computer earlier in the season. For them to surface within him, they must have either been added to the datatrax he was programmed with (by either Megatron or Rattrap), or they must have come from Dinobot's own spark, if that spark somehow left the Allspark and inhabited the cloned body when Rampage's spark departed. All three of these possibilities have their share of implausibility, so it is up to each fan to pick an interpretation that they like to include in their personal canon.
