SG Leader-1
I know you're probably getting tired of me putting messages on your talk pages titled "SG (insert character here)", but why did you turn SG Leader-1 into a redirect?

Also, I know you probably got an edit conflict when you did that; that was me trying to create an article. ---Blackout- 14:14, 10 August 2009 (EDT)
:Because there's zero to actually write about him. With folks like Fixit and Dead End we at least have some info to put, even if it's just a tiny factoid. And Blitzwing will get written up whenever the next text story comes out. But the SG GoBots other than Crasher are just random scenery. They're basically just generics. (And yes I realize we have pages for folks like Krok and Overlord, but there actually was discussion of making just a single "minor characters article" and turning those pages into redirects too.)
:And to answer your other question... that list is basically a to-do list to help me get the SG stuff up-to-date with whatever fiction is already out. Blitzwing at least has a picture to give him a not-completely-useless stub, but Thunderwing doesn't have anything. So, I'll deal with it whenever that text story comes out. --Jeysie 17:07, 10 August 2009 (EDT)
::We actually had a "minor Shattered Glass characters article", but it was nuked because the only character in it was (oh the irony) Leader-1. ---Blackout- 13:29, 12 August 2009 (EDT)
:::Well, if someone wanted to recreate it with the various background cameos like Quake & Krok & whatnot—basically anyone who gets a no-line cameo or a namedrop with no useful info (like Chromedome or Metroplex)—with the individual name articles as categorized redirects, I'd be all in favor of that. But I was just kind of sitting there trying to think of how to write up a new article for Leader-1 and realizing there's really literally nothing to say about him. --Jeysie 13:38, 12 August 2009 (EDT)
Hey you
Hoy. You seem to have your ducks in a row. Would you be interested in developing a template-insert menu for file upload? There's an itty-bitty one that loads up now if you've got Kired Tools (the bit using the Chapters template) but it's ultimately constrained by its need for adhere to wiki-friendly text. If the HTML were written directly... it could be a LOT more functional. -Derik 05:20, 19 September 2009 (EDT)
:So, a pure-HTML menu of image template links? I think I can probably figure something out. Let me pick at it, and I'll drop what I come up with on your user page. --Jeysie 06:18, 19 September 2009 (EDT)
::Ja ja, I was thinking of a framework to make development go faster though... do you happen to have access to a web server? -Derik 06:50, 19 September 2009 (EDT)
:::Er, well, I have personal webspace with PHP & mySQL abilities, but no full access to a server. (I don't know anything more "advanced" than HTML and CSS, though.)
:::What sort of framework did you need, though? The menu in this case would likely just be a plain ol' list with CSS enhancements, really. --Jeysie 06:55, 19 September 2009 (EDT)
::::Here... unrar this, and throw both files on your server somewhere, then add the following to your .js file.
<pre>document.write('<' + 'script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="');
document.write('http://www.yourdomain.com/dirname/jeysie_script.php');
document.write('"></' + 'script' + '>');</pre>
::::Now any changes you make to the <tt>jeysie_uploadmenu.html</tt> file on your server will show up in the upload menu here. You can take advantage of the mediawiki javascript functions, testing is much easier, and (by adding the same code to my .js file) I can see your changes live.
::::* You load the PHP file off your own server as if it was a .js file.
::::* The PHP file loads the .html, runs it through a filter that escapes everything and , then outputs a single line of javascript code saving this enormous string it as the javascript variable "kt_jeysie_uploadMenu".
::::* The KiredTools scripts are already looking for this variable and (if it's set) will append it at the top of a an upload page.
::::* So you can edit the .html on your server without cluttering recentChanges, but the changes will show up live here, alongside all the existing scripts, etc.
::::It saves having to think about all that nasty escaping, just have PHP do it! (Anyway, *I* think it's much faster to develop this way.) -Derik 14:54, 19 September 2009 (EDT)
:::::Er, well... like I said, the HTML itself will be nothing more than a plain old list. All the real functionality will be done in the CSS file and possibly in a Behavior file to get IE6 to work. That sort of thing is pretty much overkill when editing the list itself will consist of nothing more than sticking in extra LIs.
:::::Heck, technically you could probably make it an editable plain old wiki page, as you could just stick regular list wikicode in a DIV with a class for CSS purposes. Then just embed that page. --Jeysie 15:35, 19 September 2009 (EDT)
::::::The one there is already editable... it loads from User:Derik/Sandbox10. But that limits you to the kind of markup mediawiki allows. -Derik 16:46, 19 September 2009 (EDT)
:::::Stating that a character exists, or their general personality/looks apparently doesn't seem to be a problem. ==Continuities==
I've posted something over on my user page about my thoughts on the G1 continuity family. I would appreciate your feedback before taking it fully public as I think some of your comments and ideas parallel mine. Khajidha 14:18, 14 February 2010 (EST)
:Ehh... not really, to be honest. Well, I mean, I could maybe see coming up with a name to refer to "non-BW G1" for anyone who appears in multiple G1-franchise continuities but never BW-franchise ones, if the distinction ever needs to be made. But I don't really think it does, since considering that 99% of G1 characters don't show up in BW, that's the "default" anyway.
:The only reason I was leery of calling the IDW Swarm "G1" is because the G2 Swarm also has shown up in G1 stories, and came first, thus leading to potential confusion for editors and readers trying to keep the parentheticals straight while linking and reading.
:But in situations where you don't have to worry about that sort of clashing, I don't really see how pre- and post-BW matters. BW is pretty much a "spin-off sequel" franchise doing its own thing. No future G1 continuity is beholden to worry about it any more than they're beholden to worry about events in, say, Classics (also a spin-off sequel) or some such. --Jeysie 15:29, 14 February 2010 (EST)
:No problem.
:Honestly, I wouldn't even worry overmuch about Sorenson's opinion anyway. Sorenson is the guy who recently tried claiming that Classics Killzone and Alignment Killzone were the same character even though there was no canon evidence and the author who created Classics Killzone even bluntly and flatly stated they're not the same. (Plus a long string of similar incidents.) You're never gonna convince him.
:I'll be more interested to see what happens when people who don't keep trying to put their fan theories on the wiki offer their thoughts. --Jeysie 21:42, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
::But... Alignment isn't even canon, right? There's an amusing irony in a professional writer attacking authorial intent as being valid, especially considering that intent is really the only way you can say that two characters are meant to be treated as the same.
::I think I'm developing a fondness for Sentinel Major solely based on how much I had to argue for him! Hopefully I can help to make the article a great one, once enough time has passed to edit it. Ayellowbirds 22:06, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
:::He basically thought that the Classics appearance had "canonized" the Alignment character, even though the Classics character was never meant to be the same guy.
:::And yeah, I don't get a pro author being against authorial intent either, in the cases when there's no canon to contradict it. It's like some weird form of self-loathing. --Jeysie 22:40, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
:Considering that Jim was calling me daft, silly, and intimated that I wasn't using my brain, I think saying that his behavior is amusingly ironic isn't that harsh. Especially since I'm doing it in response to something Jeysie said on her talk page, rather than on an article's discussion page as Jim did when responding to me. -- Ayellowbirds 23:00, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
::On top of that, when a previous discussion ties directly into a current one being discussed, like this one does, why yes, it gets brought up. Since Sorenson's claims in this instance exactly parallel the sort of claims he brought up in the other discussion, it makes sense to point them out, to forestall having someone who didn't know end up wasting their time in an argument trying to convince someone who likely won't be convinced.
::Meanwhile, Walky, you show your usual ability here to bust into a conversation and throw your weight around with an attitude problem, saying things that show you didn't bother to find out what's actually going on first. I can't speak to what Jeysie said, but your use of curses would seem excessively harsh directed at anyone involved in this. In any case, I apologize to you if I've insulted you personally- it was not my intention. -- Ayellowbirds 00:08, 8 April 2010 (EDT)

Leaving personal attacks aside for the moment, it's BECAUSE I'm a pro author that I give so little weight to authorial intent. It's a shared universe, with many many authors. What one author begins with can be (and often is) changed by subsequent authors. For instance, Ron Friedman didn't intend Unicron to be a dark god (or, for that matter, built by Primacron.) And yet, he was. Larry DiTillio always intended the Vok to be the source of all Transformer sparks, but that idea hasn't yet made it to the canon and has, in fact, been mostly contradicted by other sources. And, as a pro author, I can basically insert anything I want into the universe or draw any connection I see fit. I often do, in fact. Harrison Edsel and Mayor Edsel, for instance. People seem to like it when I do that, and I have no intention of stopping.

Also, what constitutes an author? A writer? A penciler? An inker? A colorist? The director? The storyboard artist? The letterer? The editor? The sound editor? You laugh, but any one of them can influence the canon. Nel Yomtov colors a character incorrectly and we have a new character (maybe.) The storyboard artist forgets to draw Dai Atlas into the Autobot council and all of the sudden he's not on it. Should we poll all of them?

It seems very clear to me that the foundation for authorial intent is very shaky.

As for everything else, I debate honestly and vigorously, but attempt to maintain civility regardless of how much I disagree with a person's viewpoint. --Jimsorenson 23:27, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
:Thing is, in a shared universe, when another author comes in to change things, it generally gets changed in the canon. In those cases, I won't dispute that authorial intent doesn't matter, because it's what's actually stated in the canon that goes.
:But when canon either doesn't specify or can be interpreted more than one way, then authorial intent comes into play. Except that you seem to tend to think we should ignore authorial intent in favor of your personal canon. Well... no, sorry, the author's canon takes precedence over fanon.
:In this case and the Killzone case, there's no blatant canon similarity, so we go down a step to authorial intent. And since authorial intent exists in these cases, fan theories, whether yours or mine, have no place in it.
:The only time fan theory ever comes into place is if the first two conditions don't exist. RID Side Burn's status in Shattered Glass is a good one here. There's nothing in canon that definitively states either way, except for hints that he's somehow strange. And a step down from that, Sipher and Troop have been deliberately mum on the subject. So we're left with going what fits the evidence best... and considering that he is portrayed as strange, he disappeared into an anomaly in a previous FunPub story in a similar manner to Cliffjumper, and FunPub very frequently likes to have all of its stories tied together whenever possible (plus IIRC, his altmode is actually the same in both stories)... there it actually makes some sense, for now, to assume that RID Side Burn is the one in SG, because there's more circumstantial evidence in favor than against until direct canon or authorial intent says otherwise.
:And personally, I think an author constitutes an author. The artist's job is generally to help tell the story the writer created, not make up bits of the story himself. If the author meant one thing, and something not related to a change in the script shows different, I'd call it a mistake on the non-author's part. I mean, for instance, when in a Sunbow episode we see a blue-colored jet behaving like Skywarp, we don't say that the colorist got to rewrite part of the story so that Thundercracker temporarily changed personalities, we call it what it is: a coloring error where it was actually meant to be Skywarp.
:You have a very annoying tendency to pretend to be obtuse and twist people's words around so you can try and create a loophole out of thin air that will prove you right. IMHO an "honest and vigorous" debater makes points against what someone actually said and meant. Or at least a successful one does... because if you're busy debating a point I didn't actually make, or based off what I didn't actually say, then I fail to see why you think that's going to convince me that my point is wrong.
:Basically, free tip to anyone interested on debating with me: If you want to actually get somewhere with me, pay attention to what I say and address the points I actually make, as I'm more than willing to be proven wrong if that so happens. But if you're going to put your words in my mouth, ignore what I say, or make up your own point out of thin air to counter, then please feel free to go waste someone else's time. --Jeysie 00:00, 8 April 2010 (EDT)
:Addendum: This is all for wiki purposes, I should clarify. Where last I checked we're supposed to stick to things that are either canon or at worst pseudocanon, and not truck at all in fanon stuff. If you want your fanon to take precedence over authorial intent on your own personal time, you can do whatever you want. --Jeysie 00:05, 8 April 2010 (EDT)
::I'm not going to get sucked into another debate with you, especially about the subject of how I interact with others. It's just too close to my heart to allow me to approach it with the level of professionalism I attempt to maintain. Nevertheless, I strongly disagree with both your characterization of my debating style and what the line is between a reasoned deduction and fanon. Please don't take my lack of response to your inevitable rebuttal to this to indicate agreement or assent.--Jimsorenson 00:16, 8 April 2010 (EDT)
:::Well, I'm sorry, but I have to say that you do in fact do exactly what I have said you do. There's been quite a few times where I wanted to say in irritation that you know what the hell I mean, you're just pretending not to. And I'm hardly the only one to say you also come off as petty. So... I'll just say you should take away from this that, no matter how you intend your debating style to come off, what I described is what it actually is coming off as.
:::And, well, yes, it's apparent that when the canon evidence isn't there, you consider fanon speculation more important than author intent. But, as far as I know, the wiki doesn't, and I'm really tired of keeping having these sorts of go-arounds where people end up explaining to you yet again that your fanon doesn't matter when it comes what we put into wiki articles. (Follow Rosicrucian's good example and use an Allspark thread for fanon theories instead.) ==Movie Jolt vs Movie Jolt==
Sorry if the post about Jolt not being confused with the previously released Jolt wasn't a good one... Just thought it was sort of a unique case that should be addressed, what with there being two movie Jolts, and unlike the 2007 one which didn't appear in any movies and has since been changed to a different character, also not appearing in the movies, the new Jolt is in the movie. I know that's what disambiguation is for, but I just thought it was an interesting bit of trivia that a movie character's name was already used in the movieverse, though for a different character. ==Megatron joke==
The monsters in MMPR always started out human-sized. Then, at some point, Rita throws her staff down from the Moon shouting "Make my monster grow!". The staff lands in the ground and energy shoots out of it, making the monster enormous. The laser effects around Megatron's cannon in that picture look a lot like the staff. Here is a YouTube clip of it: . Honestly, it's not a big deal to me, but the old joke doesn't really make any sense in the first place. It seems to be a premature ejaculation joke to go along with his cannon firing, but it's not like there's anybody else in the picture for the innuendo to be complete. I think the observation our anonymous editor made about the resemblance to the staff is actually pretty clever. A rare instance of somebody changing a joke for the better, IMO. --Steve-o 16:20, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
Ze little one
"The identity of ze little one is a bit on the fraught side. In the flyover shot of the barge on which the four Constructicons sit, a red bulldozer (Rampage), a concrete mixer (Mixmaster), a dump truck (Long Haul) and a yellow front-end loader are visible. The yellow front-end loader is the alternate mode of the Constructicon Scrapper, and ze little one's robot mode appears to be the same as Scrapper's. As such, the temptation to just consider this a Scrapper unit is great... except that, after the flyover shot, the yellow loader disappears, and is replaced with a yellow Volvo excavator, clearly marked with a large Decepticon insignia. For the purposes of reducing headaches, we're assuming that the excavator is the "correct" vehicle mode, and that it just happens to transform into a robot mode that resembles Scrapper...even though it's not him. "

That... wasn't fanon. It was more awkwardly phrased, but consistent with how it was portrayed in the episode. Aerialbots even say, to my recollection, that there are "others at the hanger." Elita-1 was rebuilt. Dion wasn't mentioned. :Well it explicitly said in the anon guy's contribution way back there that "Ariel and Dion were also rebuilt" (followed by an awkward parenthesis saying Ariel at least). Plus, the episode itself is awkwardly phrased... Slingshot says "There are others back at the hangar, his girlfriend Ariel" as though he actually meant to say "there's another one back at the hangar, his girlfriend Ariel". After Orion is rebuilt as Prime, there's no concern for any "others" and they only speak of Ariel, whom Alpha Trion says he'll "send droids out for". :Because the fandom is so large, fragmented and clique-esque that there's really no way to measure what's relevant/common unless it's completely widespread, as in to the point that even average fans that don't read fanfic are familiar with the concepts used. == Anon-made G1 Cast List ==

I'll grant I didn't do more than a rough glance over it, so I can't vouch for its accuracy, but it WAS in keeping with our formatting for other TV series' front pages. Granted, the cast's much larger and so may be too overwhelming a list for the page, but in principle, it wasn't a wrong idea. Might be worth adding a notice as to why the G1 TV series page would differ in that respect from other series'.--Apcog 15:29, 13 May 2010 (EDT)
Wheelie is here, cower in fear!

Synopsis
Eager to aid the Autobot war effort but constantly overlooked due to his stature, Wheelie is ecstatic when he is finally asked to help with the search for habitable worlds. Shortly after leaving, though, his ship hits a radiation belt that shorts out his systems, and he is forced to make a crash-landing on the world of LV-117, a planet which turns out to be populated with giant monsters. Wheelie does what he can to survive and fends off the denizens. After attempting to use the universal greeting on a chaosteros, Wheelie loses one of his arms. He subsequently retrieves it from the beast's... dung ...but thereafter his arm does not properly transform, causing him excruciating pain whenever he enters vehicle mode.

Eventually, he sights another ship crashing to the surface. When he tracks it down, he finds Decepticons Spectro and Spyglass preparing to torture an alien they have captured. Wheelie frees him, and sneaks aboard the ship amidst the confusion. Unfortunately, the crash has damaged the ship beyond repair, dashing his plans to use it to escape. Suddenly remembering the third member of Spectro and Spyglass's trio, Wheelie turns around to find Viewfinder, impaled in his command chair by a large piece of the shattered canopy. Pausing to wonder whether Viewfinder or he himself was the lucky one, he goes off in search of the alien he set free, eventually finding and befriending him.

The alien, named Varta, speaks entirely (through a universal translator chip) in rhyme and reveals that he has a spaceworthy ship. The only thing it lacks is a power source, and Wheelie happily volunteers the energon converter he's been lugging around. They work together for a time to patch up the ship and get it ready to fly, with Wheelie adopting Varta's strange, rhyming speech in the process. As they prepare to launch the ship, they are ambushed by Spectro and Spyglass. The Decepticons shoot Varta in the back and threaten to finish him off if Wheelie doesn't climb out of the ship and let them have it. Though he initially considers taking off and leaving Varta, he realizes that if he does so, he would be turning his back on what it means to be an Autobot. He solemnly descends the ladder while the pair absconds in the rocket, congratulating themselves on their bluff—they had used the last charge in their laser to stun Varta. Varta is surprised that Wheelie would give up his freedom for his sake, but Wheelie says it really all came down to faction... that, and he removed the safety catch from the energon converter used to power the ship, causing it to explode in midair.

A year later, Varta and Wheelie have salvaged what they could from the wreckage of both their ship and the Decepticon cruiser and made a new home for themselves. No longer depressed, Wheelie feels renewed hope for the future and gazes up at the massive Autobot emblem adorning the top of their makeshift home. Meanwhile, in the nearby ruins of an ancient temple, a wall painting of a Quintesson begins to crack, the eyes glowing through the rock...
:Airazor is a Maximal from the Beast Era portion of the Generation 1 continuity family. She was previously known as Wing Saber and sometimes referred to as the Chromia 10 Pilot.

Primarily used for recon and surveillance due to her aerial alternate mode, Airazor's talents are a great asset to the Maximal cause. She's calm and confident, but also adventurous and brave, with a healthy supply of dry humor. Her aerial skill in either mode, incredibly sharp eyesight and steady aim make her a dangerous opponent.

Due to the circumstances of her "birth," she sees Rhinox as something of a uncle-figure and Cheetor as the sibling she never had. She devotes most of her efforts, however, to taming the wild yet gentle Tigatron. She shares his love for the beautiful planet on which the Maximals are stranded, and it is on this planet where their destiny will be forever intertwined.
Airazor was once a Maximal named Wing Saber. Back on Cybertron, she led a team of unstoppable female Maximals who had awesome special powers like all your favorite Autobots but totally better. With them, she once dressed up like servodroids, and she also fought the original Megatron, but it turned out he was actually someone else in a big Megatron costume. The Razor's Edge

The Predacons who stole the Golden Disk were pursued by Unit 2, who was granted clearance from Maximal Defense Command to commandeer transport. The Maximal who would become Airazor was boarding her ship, the Chromia 10, when Unit 2 approached and demanded use of it. "Airazor" at first refused, but suggested she was open to... persuasion. The call of adventure captured her interest, and instead of handing over the Chromia 10 to Unit 2, she allowed him to hitch a ride, piloting it herself.

The Chromia 10 intercepted the Predacons' ship, the Darksyde, which was engaged in battle with the Axalon and guarded by a mysterious third ship. During the ensuing firefight, the Chromia 10 was badly damaged. Optimus Primal had "Airazor" and Unit 2's sparks remotely uploaded to blank protoforms in the Axalon's cargo hold, which saved their lives, but severely damaged their core mainframes. Dawn of Future's Past
Their first big adventure together came when a flying island paradise was discovered. The island, however, was covered in booby-traps which were triggered by the use of energy weapons. Airazor rescued Tigatron when he was ambushed by Predacons on the island, but she was damaged badly. The Trigger, Part 1 Tigatron carried her on his back, refusing to leave her behind, and the pair worked together to avoid and overcome the island's traps. The island was ultimately destroyed, much to the sadness and outrage of Tigatron, and he would have secluded himself from the other Maximals further if not for Airazor's concern. The Trigger, Part 2

Soon after, the Predacons beat Tigatron to another stasis pod, reprogramming it and unleashing Inferno. Airazor and Tigatron took turns helping each other, but once again, Tigatron insisted that he work alone. Airazor commented that sometimes you can be too alone. She was right, because after he tracked down Tarantulas and destroyed the stasis pod, Tigatron got shot up a lot. Nearing death, Tigatron was saved by the arrival of Airazor and Optimus Primal. Spider's Game

During a Predacon attack on the Axalon, Airazor saved Optimus from plunging to his doom, but was herself so badly damaged she had to spend several days in the CR chamber. She emerged to find that the other Maximals had succumbed to their beast instincts through having to stay in beast mode constantly, as a result of the Predacons stealing the ship's rectifier coil. While Tigatron helped the Maximals, Airazor was able to infiltrate the largely deserted Predacon base and retrieve the rectifier coil. Call of the Wild

After the Maximals were expelled from their base by the Predacons, aided by a Starscream-possessed Waspinator, Airazor alerted Tigatron to the situation. The pair joined in a ploy to retake their base, which involved an assault on the Darksyde under Starscream's leadership. Possession Airazor was part of the reinforcements provided when Rattrap and Dinobot were trying to find a cure for the energon discharge virus Rhinox was afflicted with. For some reason she felt the need to pose provocatively by Optimus's leg as the Maximals appeared on the scene. The Low Road

After the realization that the aliens who seeded their planet with traps and energon were returning to destroy it, the Maximals and Predacons entered a truce. Optimus Primal used Airazor to try to sneak Rattrap into the Predacon base to find out what Megatron was up to, but Megatron, of course, found them on his scanners and politely asked them to leave. Unbeknownst to Megatron, the ploy was a decoy for Tigatron's infiltration. Before the Storm
The aliens arrived and a new alien structure was built, trapping Airazor, who was tortured. Optimus Primal forced his way inside, with the help of the Predacons, and traded himself to the aliens for Airazor. Rattrap dragged her from the structure, only for them to find themselves at gunpoint — the truce was over. The pair were able to use the activation of the structure's "termination sequence" to deal with the Predacons, before fleeing with the escaping Optimus. Other Voices, Part 1 As one of the planet's moons was revealed as an alien weapon, the Maximals retreated to their base. There, Airazor and Rattrap caught Blackarachnia working on a stasis pod in the ship's hold, and Optimus was able to use it to destroy the Planet Buster, though at the cost of his own life. Other Voices, Part 2

Airazor and Tigatron escaped Transmetalization by the quantum surge. They attempted to stop Blackarachnia escaping, but were both knocked offline by Megatron. Aftermath After repairs, the duo left together to find the rest of the missing stasis pods scattered across the planet. Coming of the Fuzors (Part 1) While on their search, the two Maximals discovered not only a remarkably beautiful valley, but a strange plant. As the two looked into each other's eyes and held hands in quiet celebration, the plant transformed into another Vok device, and as they clasped hands, declaring their love to exist beyond the throes of death, the two were absorbed and shot into space. Cheetor arrived, but was too late, and loudly protested the loss of two of his best friends. Other Visits (Part 1)

Airazor and Tigatron were kept in a form of stasis until near the end of the Beast Wars, when they were merged together into the powerful being Tigerhawk. Tigerhawk returned to Earth as the emissary of the Vok to stop the deterioration that the Beast Wars were causing to the timestream, his first act being to destroy the Darksyde, sending the Predacons scrambling. Tarantulas managed to capture Tigerhawk and removed the Vok's influence from his frame (and absorbed it into himself), letting Airazor and Tigatron's sparks inhabit Tigerhawk's body. Tigatron's voice was dominant, but Tigerhawk's personality and mannerisms were an amalgam of Tigatron and Airazor's. Other Victories

Shortly afterward, however, Tigerhawk was killed in a standoff with the Nemesis after Megatron retrieved it from the ocean floor. Nemesis Part 2
3H comics
Somewhere near the end of the first year of the Beast Wars, before the Planet Buster ignited the planet's energon, Airazor, Rhinox, and Cheetor overheard a battle between Fractyl and Packrat. Airazor ended up having to rescue Cheetor, who had darted off ahead of them and gotten blasted. After the battle was resolved, she and the other Maximals fled, pretending to be beaten by the timid Fractyl to increase his standing in Megatron's eyes. Ground Zero

After the Beast Wars were over, Tarantulas, presumed destroyed, existed in a new, undead form that was fueled by his new Vok powers. The remaining Vok assembled warriors to end this threat, creating Primal Prime and giving new Transmetal bodies to the extant Sparks of Airazor and Tigatron.

After awakening a stranded stasis pod containing Ramulus, opening a second pod triggered an ambush by Spittor, Iguanus, Razorclaw, and a reborn Transmetal 2 Ravage. Airazor immediately saved Tigatron's life, knocking Spittor aside before Tigatron would have unwittingly come in contact with Spittor's body, covered entirely in cyber venom. This maneuver left her vulnerable to Ravage's gunfire, which knocked her out of the air.

The battle ended catastrophically, and Ramulus, Airazor, and Tigatron were forced to carry a critically-wounded Primal Prime back to the Ark after Tarantulas ripped the Matrix of Leadership from his chest. As Airazor and Tigatron conferred with the seemingly absent Vok, Airazor experienced great pains due to her battle wounds. But before she could explain, the Ark was under attack by Ravage and the Predacons. Primeval Dawn
{{note|Due to 3H Productions loss of the convention license, "Primeval Dawn" was never completed.
Following the Quantum surge, Airazor, who is a girl, became a Transmetal. However, she was separated from the rest of the Maximals and was locked outside of their base during Quickstrike's counterattack. As she flew in, Sentinel's defenses began to fire at her. Rhinox attempted to shut Sentinel down, only to be stopped by Rattrap, who warned him that Sentinel was the only thing protecting them from Quickstrike's army of Cobra Soldiers and Scorpion Soldiers. Rhinox brushed him aside and shut Sentinel down, anyway. Airazor, who had been shot by Sentinel, swooped in for a crash-landing. Rattrap, feeling somewhat guilty, dove to soften her landing. Not long after this, Blackarachnia breached their defenses and took out both Rattrap and Airazor without effort. Rhinox saved her some time and appeared to shoot himself in the head. Feeling her job was done, Blackarachnia left as Quickstrike destroyed their base.

From a small section of the base that had been protected by a forcefield, Airazor aided Rattap and Rhinox in pulling Optimus Primal's spark from Transwarp space. As Rhinox brought his spark out from oblivion, Rattrap funneled it through a ray device while Airazor positioned a reflective dish. Primal's spark bounced off the dish and connected with his body (which was being held by Megatron at his base, the Hindenburg), resurrecting him as a Transmetal. Airazor, still injured from before, began to plummet to the ground. Primal rescued her, destroyed Megatron's drone army, and carried her off on his flying surfboard. Recovering, Airazor began to wonder where her "Tigatron-sama" was. Raise the Curtain for Beast Wars Metals!!

Later, Airazor's spark became separated from her body, with her body becoming host to a malevolent force. The evil Airazor did battle with Tigatron, who did not want to fight the robot he loved. With no other option, Tigatron gave the evil Airazor one of his katana and knelt down. As the evil Airazor struck him with the sword, the real Airazor's spark entered Tigatron's body. ==Notes==

* Airazor's gender in the Hasbro line is due to Beast Wars story editors Bob Forward and Larry DiTillio's insistence. The original Airazor toy wasn't developed with a specific gender in mind, and Bob &amp; Larry wanted a larger female presence in the show, and the Airazor toy seemed as good a choice as any. They requested the change early enough that the toy's packaging bio could have its pronouns changed to female (thank god). The later Transmetal version of Airazor was the first American-released Transformer mold created to represent a female character.

* In the Japanese dub of Beast Wars, Airazor was turned into a boy as a means to (hopefully) increase toy-sales. For the TV series, his relationship with Tigatron was played off somewhat differently to avoid complaints of homosexuality. Tigatron was presented as a samurai retainer with protective feelings towards his young ward; their closeness addressed in a "brotherly" sort of way. Despite that, there was still enough innuendo left-over for the gender-bending to become unsettling. The Japanese script's near-relentless "jokey" tone didn't help. And there was simply no way for the dub team to get past the sequence in "Other Visits (Part 1)" when Airazor and Tigatron stare into each others' eyes while holding hands and slowly leaning in for a kiss, so in that instance the dub team had male Airazor fully "come out" and begin to express his affection for Tigatron just before the two of them were abducted by the Vok. Japanese magazine editors, responding to letters from confused young fans, gently explained that "some people are just like that".

* In the case of the Beast Wars Metals manga, however, Airazor's female gender was retained, as was her romantic relationship with Tigatron. This was due to the fact that Airazor's Transmetal toy had an indisputably feminine build. Though her gender was restored, her personality underwent an overhaul, no longer resembling her tough, tomboy-ish Western characterization. Since Japanese entertainment does not cotton to strong female characters in Transformers (these are the people who turned Arcee into a secretary), Airazor was reduced to a helpless damsel in distress with a subservient and single-minded devotion to her "Tigatron-sama". Commence puke.

* Somewhat inexplicably, a number of the Italian toyline-specific names for various Beast Wars characters were only printed on the cardback for the Italian "video-pack" release of Airazor; the names do not even appear on the cardback for "video-pack" Razorclaw, who was presumably released in proximity to her, if not at the same time. The Italian names only printed on "video-pack" Airazor were: Insector (Powerpinch), Rapax (Lazorbeak), Vortex (Drill Bit), Anfibius (Spittor), Diablo (Snarl), Cannibal (Manterror), Tenax (Retrax), Dingo (K-9), and Bison (Bonecrusher).

* Transmetal Airazor is likely the first Transformer toy designed to intentionally represent a female character.

* The name of Airazor's ship in Dawn of Future's Past, the Chromia 10, is a reference to her original toy's Japanese ID number, and not to being "case fresh"... as is obvious from her dialogue.

* The Dawn of Future's Past Club exclusive toy is only sorta technically the second Club exclusive toy. She was actually shipped at the same time as Astrotrain, but he was the first toy advertised.
