Ravage
:Ravage is a Decepticon from the Revenge of the Fallen franchise in the live-action film continuity family.

Ravage specializes in infiltration. A frequent partner of Soundwave, he does the dirty work of the larger Decepticon. Ravage's body and armament are all dedicated to hitting the enemy before they even know what hit them. He can be orbitally inserted at fifteen times the speed of sound, spy inside highly secure locations using swarms of microcons, and generally ruin your day. He respects the danger humans present though, as they were the ones who managed to kill Megatron.

Some doubt Ravage's sentience, and there is debate on the degree to which he is a distinct entity, rather than an extension of Soundwave's will. However, he's displayed guile, cunning, and split-second tactical thinking, making it hard for others to believe he does not have some innate intelligence. In reality, Ravage just considers the other Decepticons beneath him, and allows his eerie, silent ways and manner to alienate him from his comrades. Soundwave is the one exception: the two are kindred spirits, understanding each other's true nature and motives.
Ravage was dispatched to NEST's Scotland base to find, interrogate, and kill Skids and Mudflap before they could pass on information about the Decepticon plans. Easily breaking into one of the most secure bases on Earth, he went on to swiftly knock out Sideswipe and attempt to rip into the twins. While they were able to evade him, Ravage shrugged off any attack and finally cornered Mudflap, broadcasting Soundwave's demands to him.

This, however, was a trap the twins had set up, and Ravage found himself trapped in a simulated combat exercise. To escape, he faked unconsciousness and then snuck out the back when nobody was looking. But he made sure to bug the base before he left... Transformers Comic issue 2.4
From his vantage point high in orbit above Earth, Ravage's master Soundwave located the last remaining shard of the All Spark in a NEST holding facility on Diego Garcia, and dispatched Ravage to retrieve it. Launched from Soundwave's chest, Ravage plummeted through Earth's atmosphere in re-entry mode and impacted just off Diego Garcia's shore, bounding to land in the blink of an eye. Quickly and stealthily, the feline Decepticon knocked several of the base's security sensors offline to cover his approach, then proceeded to vomit a large quantity of small, metallic spheres down a ventilation shaft. Once inside the base, the spheres transformed and combined into "Reedman", who successfully stole the shard and returned to the surface to reunite with Ravage. As the human soldiers attempted stop Reedman, Ravage provided cover fire, killing several humans in the process. The pair then made their escape.

Having secured the shard, Ravage traveled to the Bayos, a human freighter carrying the Constructicons which was passing the area of the sea in which Megatron was buried. After diving over the side of the barge and reaching the bottom where Megatron's body rested, Ravage ejected the Doctor from a compartment in his chest. While the Constructicons began to tear apart the "little one", Ravage was going for a swim, apparently enjoying the water, but quickly ended his little frolic when the Doctor demanded the shard. After the Doctor resurrected Megatron using the All Spark shard, Ravage and the Constructicons swam up to the surface following their revived leader.

Some time later, Ravage joined the other Decepticons in searching for Sam Witwicky and the Matrix of Leadership amid some Egyptian ruins. The forces of NEST soon arrived, and battle broke out, complicating their search. Spotting Sam, Starscream instructed Rampage to release Ron and Judy Witwicky. Ravage jumped out the Constructicon when he ejected the fleshlings, and went stalking. Bumblebee managed to get the jump on Rampage, and Ravage in turn jumped on Bumblebee's head, clawing off part of his battle helmet. Unfortunately for Ravage, Bumblebee still had plenty of fight left in him, and he promptly dispatched the killer kitty by tearing out Ravage's own goo-covered spine. Ouch. Revenge of the Fallen (film)
Notes
* Ravage and Soundwave were part of an early draft for Transformers. However, when Soundwave was changed to Blackout and the initial jungle setting was replaced with a desert, Ravage was changed to Scorponok.
* As with poor Scorponok, sources differed on how sentient Ravage was. Luckily for Ravage, Hasbro's website outright states him to be a sentient being.
*Whether through misinformation or to hide his identity, the Ravage deluxe figure shows up in the Wal-Mart computers as "TRA DLX WOLF". Of course, they're not the first to make this mistake. However when it scans at a register, it commonly comes up as "TRA MOV PANTHER".
*In the Revenge of the Fallen novelization, Ravage has a flying alternate mode. He flew out to the freighter where the four Constructicons were waiting and transformed on deck. While descending into the ocean, he was described as a sphere, so he might have two alternate modes. (His Burger King toy perhaps?)
* Despite having a red/orange eye in the movie, all the Ravage toys and merchandise have a purple one.
* On his blog, Furman said that Ravage's spine-torn death was a late addition to the film... so late that IDW Publishing had already made Ravage a key part of their post-ROTF comics! Quick, to the Rewritemobile!
* Originally, Ravage was intended to also have an aquatic alternate mode, where he swam to Diego Garcia as a spike covered fish. The reason for dropping this was not stated.
The dopey-looking Skids spends a lot of his time arguing with his twin brother Mudflap and trying to outdo him in crazy stunts, all while believing he's the responsible, level headed one. In his own mind, everything dangerous and dopey he does is simply making him a better warrior. And that means one day, one glorious day, Optimus Prime will notice him! Prime even looking in his direction makes him babble, fall over, and generally fail to make an impression, but that won't stop him trying! Underneath it all, he harbors a secret fear that Mudflap is actually the superior warrior of the pair... which is probably true.
Skids' hyper-reactive optical imaging scanner allows him to process tactical information faster than anyone (except his twin). Add that to his supreme firepower and his unpredictable actions, and he's a pain in the aft for any Decepticon who wants to counter him! And that's only if they spot him. He changes alt-mode so much it's hard to keep track of him. On Earth, he's already been part of an ice-cream truck (combining with his brother), and more recently a Chevy Beat, but that's unlikely to last very long.

Skids and Mudflap happily stayed on Cybertron, going through intensive training (which totally wasn't goofing off) and having extreme-sports contests. Neither wanted to leave their homeworld, and they were the only Transformers on it until Starscream turned up with a Decepticon army. When they heard him mention a star harvester, they realised they should tell someone...but Skids worked out the fastest way to do that would be in person, meaning they'd have to leave their homeworld.

The decision was made for them when the Decepticons attacked. Skids angrily blew away some of the jet-drones when they shot his brother, using an impressive missile barrage, and used transform-and-shoot moves to keep their pursuers away...but he realised this was delaying the inevitable. They fled the planet, with Skids remembering to head for Earth, the site of Optimus's message. Transformers Comic issue 2.1

The twins made it to Earth soon, crash-landing in Toronto, Canada. On the way in, Mudflap hit a big tower, but Skids felt it wasn't that big a deal. They swam their way to Ball's Falls, where they picked up Earth alternate modes and set out to try and find local Autobots and warn them about the solar harvester.

Driving along the wrong side of the Interstate (Skids wanted a challenge!), the twins were attacked by the Seeker Ransack, trying to kill them on the Fallen's orders. While Skids dissed Ransack's retro alt mode, he pursued them across open countryside. With their energon levels low, the airborne enemy kept up with the twins, and Skids soon collapsed, unable to run any further. He and his brother would've both died, if not for Bumblebee arriving and forcing the Seeker into retreat. Transformers Comic issue 2.2

Now living at NEST's Californian base with Bumblebee as their minder, Skids and Mudflap repeatedly asked to deliver their info to Optimus Prime—and only Optimus, much to Ironhide's annoyance. He was more annoyed when they ambushed him (Skids tipping crates on him!) to get to Optimus...who, as it turns out, was away on a need-to-know mission anyway.

After this defeat, and with Ironhide having bluntly told them nobody believed them, they desperately asked to join in a NEST op in Las Vegas...getting turned down, because they were too crap to get involved. Annoyed with this, Skids went along with Mudflap's suggestion to go to Vegas and show Ironhide just what they could do! What they could do, it turned out, was screw up a successful mission by freeing a captured Decepticon by trying to "shoot him down". Skids was left mortified. Ironhide, recognising what they were trying to do, told him that maybe they could work on training the twins not to jump in without looking, and that the trick was to learn from mistakes. The twins claimed they'd try. Transformers Comic issue 2.3

They soon wished they hadn't, as they were condemned to NEST's Orkney Islands base for days of sim-com (simulated combat) training under Sideswipe. Skids had a nagging feeling this was just an excuse to keep them away from the main action, and both protested to Sideswipe that they could handle Decepticons. Him pointing out their failure with Grindor shut them up. However, the training was interrupted when a huge metal cat monster broke into the base, KOed Sideswipe, and tried to eat the twins!

They transformed and fled, drawing the creature into a trap where Skids used his weaponry to bring the roof down on it. When that failed, he deferred to and helped Mudflap carry out his plan of trapping the beast in a sim-com session on maximum setting. With that done, and with it revealed that the creature was sent after them by another Decepticon, they tried to fill in the revived Sideswipe... except the creature had gone, leaving their instructor with the view that they'd knocked him out in revenge for their training. Between that and Grindor, he thinks they're up to something... Transformers Comic issue 2.4

The twins were later taken to Diego Garcia, and ecstatic to learn Optimus was coming there! Sideswipe stated he didn't know about their info and wasn't here to talk to them, cutting off Skids as he attempted to mention the "dude they call the F-". While their trainer told them how they weren't to see Prime, the twins cunningly drove off when he wasn't looking and headed for the base's runway. The mood soured when Skids noticed Mudflap was planning to pinch the credit for their intell, and soon the two of them were having a big fight and slagging match on the runway...

And so their first meeting with Optimus Prime was to be yelled at for conduct unbecoming of an Autobot warrior. (Mudflap started it!)

That was when Scorponok made his attack, blasting at the distracted Prime. Skids made the situation worse by accidentally tripping over Optimus, preventing him from taking control, and so Scorponok liberated the prisoner Sideways. Sideswipe, watching from a distance, believed Skids had done that deliberately, and convinced Prime that the twins were traitors: they must have helped Scorponok get here and now assisted him in his mission, on top of freeing Grindor and attacking him at Orkney! Skids and Mudflap protested they were being set up because they knew too much, but it fell on deaf ears as they were taken into custody... Transformers Comic issue 2.5
Revenge of the Fallen movie
:Voice actor: Tom Kenny (English), Tomokazu Seki (Japan), Michael Pan (German), Vladimiro Conti (Italian)

Skids and his brother were part of a taskforce deployed in Shanghai to root out Decepticon activity. In their combined ice cream truck alternate mode, they rolled through the evacuated zone, taunting and trying to lure out the Decepticons in the area. When the Decepticons did show themselves, they gave chase to the escaping Sideways. However, their slow and ungainly choice of vehicle could not keep up with the fugitive, and they rounded a corner too sharply, tearing their combined form in half. Even though Mudflap took the blame for the separation, Skids still berated (and smacked) his brother for his failure. It's combat, what's wrong with him?

Upon arrival at Diego Garcia and NEST headquarters, the twins received new, separate alternate modes. A fight broke out between the two of them over which vehicle they wanted, and Skids "called" the Beat, resigning Mudflap to the form of a Trax.

Later, the twins, along with the other NEST-allied Autobots, were dispatched to look for Sam Witwicky when Decepticons were detected heading towards his college. After Optimus Prime was killed by Megatron, the twins helped the Autobot force fight off the Decepticon leader and Starscream, allowing Sam, Leo Spitz, Mikaela Banes and Bumblebee to make good their escape. Skids and Mudflap met up with Bumblebee and the humans, and together they fled to a remote location. After teasing Leo for a while for his panic attack, Sam inquired whether one of them could interpret the Cybertronic symbols he had become obsessed with, but the twins claimed that they couldn't read the ancient Language of the Primes, and weren't much into reading, anyway.

With the help of the Decepticon Wheelie and former Sector Seven agent Seymour Simmons, the group made their way to the Smithsonian, where the humans reactivated the venerable ex-Decepticon Jetfire. He teleported them all to Egypt before telling them the tale of the original Primes, the Solar harvester, which had the potential to destroy all life on Earth, and finally, the Matrix of Leadership, the key to activating the harvester, and possibly the only thing that could bring Optimus Prime back to life. When the Matrix could not be found at the ruins of Petra, the twins began arguing with each other over why they were following Sam, which soon escalated into physical violence. As their brawl nearly crushed the humans, Bumblebee picked up the twins in each hand, slammed them together, and threw them outside the ruins, which Skids considered to be just rude. Fortunately, their bickering created a hole in the wall where the Tomb of the Primes lay, and with it, the Matrix.

Making their way back to the Pyramids where NEST waited with Optimus Prime's body, the group came under attack by Starscream. Mudflap, Skids, Leo and Simmons acted as a decoy to lure the Decepticons away from Sam and Mikaela. Unfortunately, they attracted the attention of the Constructicons, who combined into Devastator and attacked by vacuuming up loose objects such as sand, cars, and Mudflap. As Skids mourned the loss of his twin, Simmons realized that the safest place to be was directly under the giant. But Mudflap had survived being vacuumed up by Devastator, and to escape he had blasted a hole through its head. To buy the humans time to escape, Skids clambered up Devastator's right forepaw to assist Mudflap. Skids threw a cable to Mudflap, who grabbed it and swung off Devastator's head onto his arm. However, the landing knocked them both off, and Skids lost his gold tooth in the fall. At Megatron's command, Devastator continued onto the Great Pyramid of Giza. Revenge of the Fallen (film)

: Legends Class Skids is a simple, affordable small-scale toy. Amusingly, just like his brother Mudflap, the kibble on his arm actually works as his big deformed hand, only grossly oversized.

:Skids was released as part of the second wave of deluxe class Revenge of the Fallen action figures. He transforms into a green Chevy Beat Concept car with black stripe designs on either side and a black hood. His vehicle form features transparent blue windows. In robot mode, Skids features a "Mech Alive" gimmick that makes the fenders on the sides of his chest push out and his head move forward when the front grill is pushed inwards. Moving the head up and down through this gimmick may suggest it's meant to make him appear as though he is talking, but the packaging only says "Moving Armor Panels".

:Skids's right arm is larger than his left, just like his movie counterpart's. It features a small cannon that, when pressed, both makes the cannon stick out in a position more suitable for firing and activates Skids's "Punching Robot Fist" action. Despite this, his right hand is surprisingly poseable.
:This two-pack of the twin Autobot brothers can combine into a single, old-fashioned ice cream truck. The vehicle splits in half right down the middle of its chassis (similar to how it does in the film) to create the two small robot forms. Other than the transformation, the toy features no gimmicks.

:Mudflap's heels are too thick for his feet to fold up properly in vehicle mode, though this can be fixed by trimming them. Also, this toy may be the first Transformer to feature the typeface Gill Sans, which is used to write "MADE FRESH FOR YOU" across both front wheel hubs. But that's on Skids's half, so Mudflap is partly absolved here.

:Both Skids and Mudflap have sculpted rust detailing all over the Ice cream tuck, but for some reason, they are not painted.

:Hasbro has reported that this figure has been shortpacked, and will be re-released in later waves.

Notes
*The ice cream truck is apparently based on a heavily customized 1930s Chevrolet truck.confirmation needed Ben Procter apparently lifted the color scheme and deco for his early concept design for the ice cream truck directly off a photo of an Australian ice cream truck that had been added to the Wikipedia article for "ice cream van" in February 2006, down to identical placement and design of the fonts and graphics. The details were later slightly tweaked for the final design that can be seen in the movie... but only very slightly so.
*One of the decals on the ice cream truck's side that was created specifically for the movie reads "(Decepticon insignia) suck my popsicle." Classy. Too bad the toy does not. (Because, you know, for kids...)
**A "censored" version of the movie exists with the aforementioned text edited out, with the somewhat nonsensical result of a Decepticon symbol, followed by a long black space and then the word "popsicle". This version was shown in some international markets (even though other theaters in at least some of those same markets apparently got the uncensored version), and apparently also in some theaters in the USA.
*The Chevrolet Beat, Skids's upgraded alternate mode, goes into production in 2011 as the Chevrolet Spark.
*The Twins have been accused of being derogatory racial stereotypes. Writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman claim to have followed Michael Bay's lead with the characters, while Bay says voice actors Tom Kenny (Skids) and Reno Wilson (Mudflap) came up with their schtick on their own. Reportedly, Wilson (who is African-American himself) was sad to learn his way of speaking was apparently offensive to himself. Orci and Kurtzman said the twins' portrayal was not in their script, that they were disappointed in the characters and admitted that they could understand if others were offended by the characters. Bay has admitted the idea was that they were intended to be a caricature of white people pretending that they're black ("wiggers")...fact which is difficult to convey when they're colored red and green.
*The twins are less slangy in the comic adaptation and Titan comics, which could either indicate it was a last-minute voice actor decision or Simon Furman just didn't want to try writing ebonics.
An adaptation of the summer blockbuster of 2009.

Synopsis
It is the dawn of mankind. Primitive humans stalk game through a lush jungle. Their hunt is interrupted by the impact of a colossal foot, cracks in its structure glowing with otherworldly energies. The Fallen takes notice of these curious fleshlings, wondering if this is truly life. He shrugs the question off, looking to the construction of the harvester which will soon extinguish this feeble planet's sun.

In the modern day of Shanghai, China, the NEST forces engage Demolishor, who comments on the annoying tenacity of the human race. Meanwhile, Sideways tries to make good his escape elsewhere in the city, with Mudflap and Skids hot in pursuit. Unfortunately, their combined ice cream truck form proves too ungainly to handle the turns, leaving the three motorcycles that make up Arcee to continue the chase. Arcee is advised to make certain Sideways does not breach the quarantine perimeter, to prevent public knowledge of the incident.

Ironhide and Optimus Prime finally manage to take down Demolishor, while the timely arrival of Sideswipe aids in neutralizing Sideways. As Prime stands over the wrecked form of the Constructicon he felled, Demolishor delivers a warning: their days on this planet are numbered as The Fallen will soon claim it!

Back stateside, Sam Witwicky snorts derisively at the government coverup of the Mission City debacle. He is nearly finished packing to go off to college. He gets a call from Mikaela, now working at a motorcycle repair shop. She announces she's breaking up with him, which he objects to just shortly before he discovers a shard of the All Spark embedded in the shirt he wore in Mission City. His vision is flooded with Cyberglyphics, and the shard tumbles to the floor, burning a hole in it. In the kitchen below, all the appliances are brought to new, malevolent life!

The timely intervention of Bumblebee saves the Witwickys from the newborn Transformers... at the cost of entirely demolishing their home. Mikaela arrives, having rushed over when Sam went quiet. Sam entrusts her with the All Spark shard, urging her not to tell anyone of it. Little does he know that the RC truck over by the fire hydrant is actually the Decepticon Wheelie, who is spying on them. Ron calms his wife down by saying that the government will take care of their house. Sam talks with Bumblebee, telling him that unfortunately freshmen aren't allowed cars on campus, so this will be goodbye for awhile.

Back at the Diego Garcia base of NEST, the Autobots are met by a representative of the U.S. government, on orders from the president. Director Galloway and Admiral Morshower's briefing for them is classified, even from other NEST operatives, but in low orbit the Decepticon Soundwave parasitizes a communications satellite to listen in. Optimus Prime tells the Admiral that the Decepticons have most definitely not abandoned Earth, and relays the cryptic warning he received in Shanghai. Galloway is concerned that the Autobots are keeping secrets, as they have kept weapons technology from their allies and have been sending unauthorized transmissions into space. He asks if the Autobots will leave should the president decide to ask them to. Prime reluctantly answers that they will. He however asks Galloway and by extension the president to consider what will happen if the Autobots leave and the threat still remains.

Moving into his dorm on campus, Sam meets Leo Spitz, his conspiracy theorist roommate. Leo manages a website dedicated to sightings of Cybertronians, and one of his contributors is uploading footage of the Shanghai incident. As Sam watches, he is approached by the extremely enthusiastic Alice, his neighbor.

Meanwhile off the shore of Diego Garcia, Ravage arrives via orbital insertion. Transforming to robot mode, he infiltrates the NEST installation and seeds its ventilation system with microcons. This swarm forms the crude outline of a body, and manages to pilfer the All Spark shard being held at the base.

Apparently wasting no time, Sam attends a party at the Delta Fraternity that night. Though amply distracted by Alice's ample mammalian traits, he insists he ought to call Mikaela. Alice has other ideas, and suggests he just pretend that she is his girlfriend. Sam offers half-hearted protest, and is thankfully saved from embarrassing himself by the arrival of Bumblebee. Bumblebee urges him to get in, and he takes the welcome reprieve as he is driven off to speak with Optimus Prime. Prime reveals to Sam that the shard of the All Spark has been stolen from the NEST base, and that the Autobots are under fire from human authorities. He asks Sam to speak on the Autobots' behalf, to help the humans understand. Sam says he's got enough on his plate, and thus can't help the Autobots right now.

Beneath the ocean, deep in the Laurentian Abyss, Ravage meets up with a tiny Decepticon. Surrendering up the shard, Ravage watches as his compatriot uses it to revive the inert form of Megatron. Optics blazing, Megatron rises from the ocean and vows retribution upon the Earth!
Notes
*Songs played on Bumblebee's radio:
**Page 12: Unknown - "But it's all over now" could be from a number of different songs, but chances are it might just be from the Rolling Stones song of the same name.
**Page 13: "No Regrets" by Midge Ure, with no altered lyrics (unlike in the first movie's adaptation).
*On page 3, Sideways has a German license plate, assigned to the City of Hamburg. In fact, the license number "HH-BA 740" is taken straight from a commercial for the Audi R8.
*The dummy corporation Robotics is held responsible for Mission City, just like in The Last Prime novel. Except in the movie's viral marketing websites, it's Mendelson Robotics. And in the book adaptation, it's Massive Dynamics. My BRAIN hurts.
*On Page 6, when one of the Arcees transforms, the results are...interesting. The single robot that appears is colored entirely blue, as if it were Chromia, but the robot drawn is not based on the model of any the three individual bike sisters, with a particularly bulky upper torso and a head that is off-set to the right of her body. It is something of a frankensteining of the three sisters; its right arm is lifted almost directly from Arcee's concept artwork, while it's right arm is a large laser-sword resembling the one seen in Elita-1's concept art. Furthermore, this composite robot will reappear in one panel in the second issue of the movie adaptation, where it is colored half-purple, half-blue, in addition to being mirror-flipped from its appearance in this issue. It seems that this figure is intended to be the proposed "combined form" of the three Arcee sisters that was cut from the finished film...but that doesn't explain why only one bike is seen transforming into it in this issue, or why it's entirely blue. Last-minute attempt at removing the combined mode from the comic?
*Both The Real Effing Deal and GiantEffingRobots.com, mentioned in the dialogue, are real websites that are part of the viral marketing campaign for the film.
*There is a poster in Leo Spitz's room of a woman who is totally not wearing any pants.
*One of the appliances brought to life is Ejector from a Mountain Dew commercial associated with the first film. The art seems to be taken directly from the original model sheet.
*On page 20, just what the heck is going on? Are those badly drawn Constructicons? And why are they not present at Megatron's resurrection?? Are they off-panel?!? Ugh, this artist...

Differences with movie
*The Shanghai scene at the beginning immediately starts with Demolishor's rampage. In return, Demolishor remains in vehicle mode until Optimus Prime joins the battle.
*Demolishor's vehicle mode is totally different from his depiction in just about every other form of media and his toys. In fact, the vehicle mode is very similar to that of the Constructicon who is sacrificed to make spare parts for Megatron's rebirth.
*Instead of merely causing a little mayhem at the Witwickys' house when he kills the Allspark-mutated kitchen robots, Bumblebee literally blows up the entire house, burning it down to the ground.
*Mikaela, not afraid of traffic accidents, rides her motorcycle to the Witwickys' house wearing a very short top and no helmet.
*Admiral Morshower looks nothing like actor Glenn Morshower.
*When Sam meets Leo, Leo is communicating with his website staff, Fassbinder and Sharsky, online instead of having them sitting in the next room.
*When Bumblebee picks up Sam at the frat party, Alice stays behind instead of riding along and getting gooed on by Bumblebee.
*Skids is present at the graveyard scene, but doesn't say or do anything.
*ze little one is not sacrificed to make spare parts when The Doctor ressurects Megatron. In fact, he is missing because no Constructicons are present at Megatron's birth. Unless they're off-panel.

Errors
* On page 2, Demolishor is drawn with the wrong vehicle mode. The steam shovel he is disguised as is a much smaller model than a Terex RH400.
* On page 7, when Demolishor delivers the warning of the Fallen, his face is drawn incorrectly.
* On page 15, Admiral Morshower appears to be wearing the uniform of a US Army Lieutenant General.

Shaoshao Li (李 蛸燒, Lǐ Shāo-Shāo) is an athletic Chinese kung-fu girl who hates bugs and ghosts and enjoys hot steamed buns. She is completely obsessed with Marissa Faireborn.

As a Kiss Player, she is partnered with Hot Rodimus, but doesn't like to kiss him after he's been fishing because of the smell. She also wishes he'd take her fishing with him once in a while. She speaks with a Chinese accent, which makes sense since her parents are from China. Her ethnic background is also the reason she has worn a collar secured with a padlock that reads "Fortune" since childhood and cannot remove it. This makes less sense.

Apparently, she's a decent singer as well.

Fiction
Kiss Players
:Voice actress: Yui Kano

Shaoshao's parents ran a Chinese restaurant in New York. It was there that she met Marissa Faireborn and the two became good friends. Later, apparently deeply jealous and resentful of Marissa's romantic attachment to Optimus Prime, she joined the anti-Transformers Earth Defense Command in Japan. Seen as a rising star in the organization, she was not pleased when she was assigned to the Kiss Player team and partnered with the Autrooper designated "Ne-04" (the 4th unit of Ne squad) under the command of Amaō.

Shao quickly became known as one of the E.D.C.'s most skilled Kiss Players, able to power up her Autrooper partner to levels far beyond those of her teammates. The other squad members respected her abilities greatly, and at least one, Ringo, may have developed a crush on her.

On one mission, Shao was sent to investigate a Transformers-related subway explosion. Following the incident, while still merged with her Autrooper partner, she happened upon a Legion member menacing a frightened young woman. She was able to briefly repel the attack before her Kiss Player time limit was reached and she was ejected from the Autrooper, unconscious and naked apart from her signature padlocked collar.

Badly damaged by the Legion's tube-shaped projectile tongue, the Autrooper turned to the young woman, Atari Hitotonari, and demanded that she kiss it or die, guilt-tripping her with the possibility of what would happen if she failed to act. Atari did indeed kiss the Autrooper, merging with it and swiftly beheading the Legion. The E.D.C. determined that Atari was an even more powerful Kiss Player than Shaoshao and promptly recruited her.

Shao apparently remained with the E.D.C. long enough to meet the new recruit and make a lasting impression on her. At some point soon thereafter, however, she suddenly awoke to find herself suspended in a tube in the basement of E.D.C. headquarters. She was bound with straps, naked apart from her collar and squad armband, and her stomach had been scrawled with "Ne-04" and the number "2045", which had also been written on the severed Legion head that hung over her head. Noticing that nearby tubes held similar heads and the partially-eaten bodies of Kiss Players from other squads, she panicked as the Legion head above her woke up and began to drool with hunger.

Suddenly, Hot Rod came crashing through the roof like a comet, just in the time to rescue her! In their escape, all that Shao was able to find to wear was a China dress. Fortunately, Hot Rod later stole Marissa's underwear for her during a battle with Optimus Prime.

Hot Rod and Shaoshao roamed Japan as fugitives. Together, they battled Legion, the E.D.C. and Optimus Prime, while taking time out for fishing and martial arts practice. Although she despaired of Hot Rod's lack of discipline and his obsession with kissing her, Shao privately admitted to greatly enjoying the sensation induced by kissing her robot partner. However, she maintained that she was only using his power until she could get Marissa back from Prime.

Kiss Players Position
In the wake of the final battle, Shao-Shao, Atari and Marissa formed a singing idol group called "Kiss Players" with the cassette Transformers Glit, Sundor and Rosanna. As they performed at the Brave Maximus Fortress stop of their world tour, the Sparkbots Stardust, Angela and Zangetsu appeared and instructed the three humans to kiss them. Complying, they were teleported to Sherman Dam in the year 1985, just in time to witness a historic battle.

The Kiss Players continued to bounce through time and space, extracting fragments of the Allspark from famous Autobot leaders along the way. They briefly adventured on the planet Quintessa, where the power of Moe transformed Shao into a kitty-eared maid. She was not entirely thrilled.
