Or maybe he used his woowoo omniversal magic to sense that some other god was about to create the Allspark, and then he twisted the whole process to his own ends. Who knows. ==Really not buying the 'multiversal singularity' thing here==
Recently, I saw the new movie and....... I don't see how it could possibly be the same character as in Dreamwave's comics.
Not only is his entire backstory different, but his motives also seem different and the film also makes mention that The Fallen was a member of 8 original leaders (if I remember correctly), as opposed to 13.
Not to mention his radically different appearance (the other 'multiversal singularities' at least all looked alike) and abilities.

Unless the writers find a way of explaining how this could be possible, I don't see how it makes any form of sense.
:The fact it's 8 and not 13 is the first sign that the writers intend to explain it. They're backpedaling away from making it "The 13" because it creates way to many problems.
:We all basically agree that it makes not sense now, but this (very last-minute) change strongly indicates that it will make sense, and that Hasbro's story-gurus has finally figured out how they intend to make it fit. -Derik 19:33, 21 June 2009 (EDT)
In fact, most of what we "know" about multiversal singularities comes not from the fiction itself, but from creator comments. :::I think the idea of Multiversal Singularities dieing in one universe and appearing in another has 2 sources: 1) Unicron - He's a multiversal singularity and this is demonstrably how he works, and 2) Vector Prime - After his death in the UT he's seen again in the final credits battling Galvatron again. Granted it's supposition, but I think that's the basis for the idea.--76.28.72.27 21:22, 3 August 2009 (EDT)
::::Unicron's many deaths constitute one of the reasons why the multiversal-singularity idea is generally thought to be nonsensical. The idea that he "respawns" every time he's destroyed is a rationalization somebody here came up with; it's never been shown to happen in the fiction. And Vector Prime's case barely applies; he wasn't destroyed the way Unicron or The Fallen were; he just permanently phased outside of normal time because he overexerted his temporal powers. It was presumably in this non-time limbo that he battled Galvatron again, and where he will be forever. Ultimately, I think Rosicrucian's right: We should wait until "Tales of the Fallen" comes out before we make any hard-and-fast calls on the subject. But I've long thought that we should be more rigorous about letting the fiction alone define "multiversal singularity" instead of the authors, and I'll be more than happy if future information radically changes what we think it means. - Jackpot 22:43, 3 August 2009 (EDT)
Hm, it actually sounds more like Vector Prime's existence than the hoppity-hop-from-universe-to-universe model that's been the wiki party line. Unicron "floats through the non-space between dimensions, reaching out with his sensors to find the universe with the most energy. Those dimensions he finds suitable, he consumes." Also, "He has been defeated or destroyed countless times, yet he always returns [...] for [...] He is evil incarnate, and as long as there is evil, there is Unicron." It sounds like, whereas Vector Prime is stuck outside of time and can only send messages (or swords) into the timestream, Unicron can actually manifest himself in a very real and devastating way. But they share some essential transcendent nature, which to me is a bit more sensical than the more linear model. I read it to mean that basically he can keep coming back because he's always got one foot outside of normal space-time, and destroying a specific incarnation will never be enough. It's not a full "death." Plus he's got that strange relation to the concept of evil, which is backed up in the Armada cartoon when only Galvatron's death and the resulting end of the war could destroy him.
Let's assume (for a moment) that the Fallen was lying about parts of his backstory to Megatron. He certainly didn't mention Primus or Unicron (so we know he left stuff out) and we know he was snowing Megatron about making him a Prime (something you apparently have to be born to in the Movieverse.) He's ALREADY demonstrably lying, so lets throw out everything he said about his own origins, and assume he's actually the same dimension-hopping spanish-speaking nutjob we know and love-- what would the universe 'look' like?
Logically, The Fallen {{redact|traveled to this universe and integrated himself with it-- somehow convincing the six Founding Primes of the universe that he was one of them. I found a clip on Youtube about a Leader class The Fallen toy. It's extremely close to the CGI version in design and look and it comes with a staff. == Lawson Exclusive EZ Fallen??? ==

Just noticed the pic of the 'Lawson exclusive' EZ figure.

Apparently the version of EZ Fallen released in the 2-pack with Soundwave was actually the standard US version, and the Takara-Tomy picture was incorrect. Unless anyone has an official source (in-hand pictures, on-line sales listings etc) that says the Japanese version of the Legends figure is any different from the US colours, I'd recommend deleting this photo. 213.123.203.109 09:03, 1 December 2009 (EST)
:... that doesn't make any sense. If we don't have any in-hand photos, how do we know it's the SAME as the US release? --Monzo 10:10, 1 December 2009 (EST)
::So what you're saying is that we have this exclusive Legends Fallen, now released in Japan. You'd think it might show up somewhere? But there's not a squeak of it on YouTube, on eBay, or for that matter ANY Transformers retailer or website you can care to name (trust me, I've checked). I realise it's supposedly an exclusive, but I can't think of another occasion in all my years of collecting when a figure's been commercially released and yet NO-ONE has seen it. As I say, I think it's just a bad photograph.

::Also, note that the two supposed 'exclusives' in this Lawson offer were Mudflap and The Fallen... which haven't actually been released in Japan as part of the main EZ line (nor have they been announced as forthcoming). So it would make sense that these are the standard US versions, which were Lawson store exclusives in Japan. Just like how ROTF Deluxes Dead End, Swerve and Stalker Scorponok were on general sale in the US but store exclusives in Japan.

::I seem to recall pictures of Takara Deluxe Ravage and Voyager Mixmaster with different paint apps too (extra purple on Ravage and a different coloured head on Mixmaster) - yet both releases ended up the same as their US counterparts. Early photos of the Takara combiner Devastator (shown in Hyber Hobby and Dengeki Hobby) has the US grey face that was later changed to red in Japan. We now know that the Deluxe red Rampage has a movie-accurate silver shovel, not the red one we saw in the early pictures. My point here is that promotional photos are notoriously unreliable.

::I realise I'm on shaky ground here - It's very difficult to prove something doesn't exist. But I think at the very least the point should be made on the page that this so-called redeco has never - to anyone's knowledge - been sighted outside of a low-res photo on the Takara website. And possibly never will.91.104.167.124 13:55, 7 December 2009 (EST)
Multiversal Clean Up
Some people's stubborn refusals to understand his nature aside, I think the article as written right now might contain a few too many "artifacts" from when we were still rather unsure of the Fallen's Multiversal Singularity status and how it worked. The "Origin" section for instance seems to exist entirely to present his differing origins as being a conflict while not mentioning at all that Hasbro's explanation on how singularities work explains any conflict away.

I think the page could use a slight "refresh" (the Origin section especially) to really make it clearer that all the differing apperences, actions, and even origins are all part and parcel of how a mulitversal singularity works and not mistakes or continuity conflicts.
The Autobots begin to suspect that a human organization is working against them, while Soundwave continues to investigate the resurrection of Ravage.
Synopsis
Galloway is prepared to shut down N.E.S.T after the battle at Kingdom Petrochemicals, but Major Lennox is not going down without a fight.Galloway explains that all Cybertronians must have the proper paperwork to be active on Earth, which Jolt and Knock Out apparently don't have. The Decepticon threat level has been downgraded to blue, which means N.E.S.T. will no longer be needed, but Lennox tries to explain how Bumblebee, Jolt, and Knock Out just fought a bunch of Decepticons at Kingdom Petrochemicals, but Galloway won't hear it. After Galloway and his boys leave, Optimus Prime and Lennox discuss the possibilities of a possible third organization involved in their situation in some way.

Meanwhile, a team of investigators is inspecting the sight at Kingdom Petrochemicals, and while searching through the ground, they discover a sub-level, and send down a team to investigate. When the humans go down there, Ravage comes charging out of the hole, and Soundwave orders him to to find a safe place to hide until he arrives, while he sends Buzzsaw to rendezvous with a strike team in Wendover, Utah.

While these evnts unfold, the people at Initiative are testing their newly reconstructed Allspark, but some of its members are worried about what could happen if things go wrong, while others tell them to shut up, and that everything'll be fine. Meanwhile, three Decepticons proceed to absolutely OBLITERATE a farm in Utah, looking for something to do with Ravage. They spy a sub-level in the farm, but they see a flashing red light, and Soundwave tells them to GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!

Ths has attracted both Initiative forces, and N.E.S.T forces, with only N.E.S.T responding. Lennox tells them to deploy Ironhide's team, as they are the closest to the Utah location, and when they get to the Utah area, they proceed to try and defeat the Decepticons. The Autobots fair pretty well against the Decepticons, killing two of them and causing Dirt Boss to surrender, but that is whe Soundwave comes in and attacks. He unleashes Ravge to attack Ironhide, but he is quickly dispatched of. Just as Soundwave is about to use his saw on Ironhide, Optimus Prime comes parachutting down from the sky, and quickly defeats him. Soundwave then tries to convince the Autobots not to cyro-freeze him, as he is a valuable asset to them if they need to investigate who's working against them. Optimus Prime says that they will arrange for Soundwave's arrest, but they won't freeze him, but in return, he has to tell them everything he knows.
IDW Transformers movie comics
The AllSpark's origins are unknown. What is known is it was responsible for creating Cybertron and a race of powerful entities, the Thirteen Primes. The Primes soon discovered the All Spark's vast power was finite, and they were at a loss on how to restore it. Fate intervened when a nearby star went nova, repowering the AllSpark. The Primes could travel dimensions, but they needed help harvesting and locating stars. The All Spark responded when it created a new race of helpers, the Transformers, robots who could change their forms. Transformers called Seekers had the ability to travel into interstellar space and sought out suitable suns. Other Transformers constructed harvesters which enabled the collection of such energy, and this energy would in turn repower the All Spark. The Dynasty of Primes, as the entities and their descendants were known, lead the Transformers and searched the galaxy for stars to harvest.

Knowing the destructive capabilities of the harvesters, the Dynasty of Primes tempered their search with the rule to never destroy a star with a life bearing world. The AllSpark then formed a key to activate the Harvesters, the Matrix of Leadership, which the Dynasty protected. One day, the Dynasty and their attendants were building a star harvester on a world when they discovered that it was inhabited by primitive but sentient creatures. Twelve of the Primes upheld their rule of sparing life, but one of the Primes despised the creatures as insects and had been thinking dark thoughts of seizing the All Spark for himself. The Prime betrayed his brothers and was forever known as The Fallen. In the battle that followed, Transformer fought Transformer for the first time. Eleven of the Thirteen were killed, but the sole survivor stole the Matrix and hid it in a tomb made of the bodies of the dead Primes, giving his life to seal the Tomb. Returning to Cybertron, The Fallen massacred the rest of the Dynasty and destroyed the sarcophagi of his brothers to prevent their return, but the traitorous Prime was in turn sealed in his own sarcophagus by the spirits of his brothers. A single orphan was hidden away from The Fallen, unaware of his lineage. With the Dynasty of Primes destroyed, the Transformers became the sole inhabitants of Cybertron. Revenge of the Fallen Movie Adaptation issue 3 Defiance issue 4

The Transformers were unaware of their predecessors or the AllSpark's origin, but to them the AllSpark was the source of life, and that was all that mattered. In return for this act of creation and the continued sustaining of Cybertron, the Transformers tended to the All Spark and kept it safe. Under the reign of science division leader Optimus and defense force leader Protector Megatron, the Transformers flourished. Movie Prequel issue 1 The peace ended when the Fallen's sarcophagus was dug up, causing the AllSpark to give off pulses, attracting the attention of a hostile alien species who attacked Cybertron. This led to an increasingly darker Megatron Defiance issue 1 to be tempted by the Fallen into trying to seize the power of the AllSpark. At the same time, Optimus and his science division discovered that Optimus was somehow connected to the Dynasty of Primes.

Now Lord of Cybertron, Megatron went rogue with his own army, the Decepticons, branding those who followed Optimus traitors. Defiance issue 3 Optimus, now dubbed Optimus Prime formed his own army, the Autobots, to counter Megatron. In the war that followed, Cybertron was decimated, and eventually Optimus was forced to capture the AllSpark to keep it out of enemy hands. Defiance issue 4 The Autobots fought valiantly, but the Decepticons quickly gained ground.

Eventually, Prime made the decision to launch the AllSpark blindly into space. At Optimus Prime's orders, Bumblebee and a group of Autobots served as decoys, drawing the Decepticons—who thought they had the All Spark—to Tyger Pax, far enough away from the artifact's true location to buy Prime the time needed to prepare the launch. Megatron himself took a personal hand in the torture of Bumblebee, attempting to force him to reveal the All Spark's location, but his efforts went in vain, and the All Spark was blasted into space to put it beyond Megatron's reach. In response, Megatron crushed Bumblebee's voice box and began to follow the AllSpark into deep space. Movie Prequel issue 1

Once launched into space, the AllSpark would seek out on its own the location of a harvester. Defiance issue 4
The AllSpark was not merely launched blindly into space, however—its trajectory was leading it directly towards the Alkaris Anomaly, a wormhole that could potentially transport the cube to an infinite number of locations in the universe. Briefly delayed by an Autobot tractor beam, Megatron could not stop the cube from entering the wormhole, and instead chose to follow it into the anomaly. While the AllSpark was disgorged somewhere in the vicinity of the Sol system, to eventually crash on Earth, Megatron was deposited by the wormhole in some other, far off star system, leaving him to hunt for the Cube through the endless reaches of space. Transformers Comic issue 2
Later on, a space-travelling Ironhide would be captured by an alien craft—its inhabitants appeared to be immense entities that claimed the AllSpark had been stolen from them, and did a psychic probe of Ironhide. They turned out to be "electrical ghosts", a digital imprint from another time kept alive by the photon-rich atmosphere; the ship was a derelict, salvaged by another (rather feeble) alien race that had been using these ghosts as a front. The ship contained a device attuned to AllSpark energy though, making it clear the original inhabitants did have some connection to the AllSpark... Transformers Comic issue 5
On the dying Cybertron, Stockade and his small band of Decepticons sent out a signal into deep space in the hope of contacting any entity related to the AllSpark, and drawing it to Cybertron so it could revive the planet.

The AllSpark was found in 1913, 16 years after the N.B.E.-01 "Iceman" was found, though carbon dating tests indicated that Cube landed on Earth some twelve thousand years earlier. The glyphs on the Cube were similar to the ones on the Iceman, indicating a link between the two. In order to hide the cube's energy signature from other humans and, potentially, from other N.B.E.s, the President had the Hoover Dam built around it. The Iceman was also moved to the dam for further study. It was eventually determined that the Cube emitted a radiation which could bring mechanical devices to life.

Years later, when Megatron eventually came back online due to the intervention of his soldiers, Sam Witwicky convinced Sector Seven (with the help of Captain William Lennox's men) to release Bumblebee, explaining he could help. Bumblebee interacted with the cube and prompted it to collapse from an enormous monolith into a object less than half a meter across, and accordingly lesser in mass as well as volume. Bumblebee and a military escort, soon joined by the Autobots, took the Cube to Mission City, where Sam ran through the city avoiding the Decepticons. Along the way, Sam stumbled, and the AllSpark released a wave of energon radiation which animated several nearby machines into living robots. During the battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron, the Autobot leader told Sam to merge the Cube with his spark.

However, Sam instead merged it with Megatron's spark, destroying both Megatron and the All Spark. Gazing at his dead brother for one last time, Optimus fished a fragment of the All Spark out of Megatron's chest.

Without a means to restore their homeworld, the Autobots elected to remain on Earth, and Prime sent a message to inform the surviving Autobots of their new found home. Transformers (2007)
IDW Transformers movie comics
A month after the events in Mission City, the Autobots went to a secret Sector Seven facility located in the Nevada desert to escort the remains of the deactivated Decepticons. When the AllSpark shard pulsed with energy near Megatron's corpse, Optimus Prime feared the worst and handed it to Professor Vine for safekeeping. After the Autobots left, Agent Simmons convinced Vine to take the shard into their underground facility, since to keep it in the open would only attract Decepticons, though Vine had misgivings considering the stasis-locked Wreckage was also in the same facility. Optimus Prime, feeling something was wrong, ordered Ironhide and Bumblebee to go back to the Nevada facility to retrieve the AllSpark fragment. As Simmons and Vine are moving the relic into secure storage, it suddenly flies out of their hands and onto Wreckage's chest, reactivating the very angry Decepticon and Sector Seven's own L.M.-1 units. During Wreckage's rampage, Vine was convinced that they had to find the shard before it caused more havoc, but he was caught in the blast of Starscream's attack on his fellow Decepticon and killed. Alliance issue 2

In the aftermath of the attack, Simmons was more interested in finding the fragment of the AllSpark than mourning the death of Vine. Salani retrieved the All Spark ahard from the rubble and returned it to Optimus Prime. Eventually, the Autobots and the American military entered into a formal alliance to defend Earth. The AllSpark fragment was stored in a bunker under their base on the island of Diego Garcia. Alliance issue 3

Revenge of the Fallen movie
According to The Fallen, the Cube so venerated by the Transformers was merely a vessel. When Sam Witwicky destroyed the Cube to kill Megatron, he unknowingly absorbed the knowledge of the AllSpark, lying dormant within his mind.

After listening to a conversation between NEST and General Morshower, Soundwave sent Ravage and Reedman to retrieve the All Spark fragment from Diego Garcia. Scalpel used it on Megatron when he dived to the Laurentian Abyss to resurrect him.

However, the shard in NEST's custody was not the only surviving piece of the All Spark. When Sam Witwicky began packing for Princeton University, a sliver of the AllSpark fell out of the hoodie he wore during the battle of Mission City. Not only did it create the Appliancebots, but it also began to flood Cyberglyphics into Sam's mind and awaken the knowledge stored within him. Sam only realized this after his disastrous first day of class, and asked Mikaela to bring the fragment to him. Sam and Mikaela later used the fragment to revive Jetfire, who was slumbering in the Smithsonian. Revenge of the Fallen (film)
Sam became a new vessel for the AllSpark, transferring its knowledge from the Cube's remains to him. It lay dormant in his mind for two years, inadvertently increasing his intelligence and getting him a scholarship to Princeton, and was only activated when he discovered the Cube shard from his shirt. When Megatron killed Sam, the information was transferred to the Matrix of Leadership, which was created by the AllSpark, effectively replacing the Cube as its physical form. After the death of the Fallen, Optimus Prime recovered the Matrix, reclaiming the history of the Transformers. Revenge of the Fallen Movie Adaptation issue 3 Revenge of the Fallen (novel)
Games
Transformers: Autobots/Decepticons
Throughout both games, the Autobots and Decepticons are racing to Hoover Dam to recover the AllSpark and Megatron's frozen body from Sector 7 control. As the Cube is approached, it creates drones from nearby equipment to defend itself, finally explaining the aggressive tendencies of the robots created on Earth.

In the Autobots ending, Create-a-Bot smashes Megatron in the chest with the cube, finally ending his god-mode and opening him up for attack, but in the process sacrifices himself so that Optimus Prime can finish the Decepticon leader once and for all.

Basically, the Decepticons version ends the same, but with the evil Blum-bot attacking Starscream so that Megatron can destroy the traitor. Unlike the Autobots version, however, Starscream seems largely unharmed, if not empowered. This doesn't end well for Create-A-Bot OR Starscream, though, as Megatron still destroys his former second-in-command, then kills the newbie for being "weak." Transformers Autobots/Decepticons
:Originally slated to be released in 2008, this item was held back and was instead released in new packaging as part of the Milton Bradley's Revenge of the Fallen merchandise line. While it comes in the standard Rubik's Cube colors, the cube itself is cast in light grey plastic and the patterns seen on the movie All Spark are printed on the colored facets, as well as an Autobot and Decepticon sigil on the white and yellow faces, respectively. This actually makes this version harder than the original Rubik's Cube, as the center faces must be properly aligned so that the patterns match up correctly. It comes with a grey stand with vacuum metallization on one of the three embossed Rubik's logos.

Trivia
*The movie's AllSpark was derived from hybridizing the concepts of Vector Sigma and the Matrix of Leadership, but the term "Matrix" was off limits because of the movie of the same name. Optimus Prime's description in the movie intro would suggest it also bears similarities to a Cyber Planet Key from Transformers Cybertron. Being the object that brought robotic life to Cybertron would also make it comparable to the Key to Vector Sigma of Generation One.
*It was designed as a big cube because, in the original screenplay, it was going to be called the "Energon Cube" instead. Lip service to the original name was paid in the sequel by identifying it as Cybertron's main source of energon.
*The AllSpark also bears no small resemblance in form and function to the Underbase, in that it's a giant cube-shaped object with remarkable powers that was launched from Cybertron in order to keep it out of Megatron's hands, and then flew aimlessly through space for millions of years.
*By stating Cybertron and the Transformers were created by the All Spark, the movie retcons the retcon that Primus is Cybertron & the source of Transformer life across all continuities. Unless, that is, the AllSpark is Primus' proxy or means through which he acts.
* In July 2007, several items from the 2007 movie were auctioned off on e-bay including the 'Hero' AllSpark prop used for closeups, with the money benefiting the Fisher House Foundation, a living facility attached to many US Military Hospitals. The auction collected 99 bids and the prop was sold for US $20,100.
* Before Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers The Game identified energon as being the power produced by the Cube.
Really not buying the 'multiversal singularity' thing here
Recently, I saw the new movie and.......

Logically, The Fallen

Of course, if this was actually what happened, and The Fallen is lying... you'd expect there to be some indicator[ of this in the IDW comics.
::Neither do I... but if IDW chooses to quietly change the 13 primes to the 7 in their Movie Spotlight books... at that point the Fallen's retelling of history becomes much more actively wrong, and this bit from Reign of Starscream fits quite nicely.
::I figured it was worth highlighting as a possibility. It wouldn't be appropriate to present it as "fact" until IDW gets a crack at it. (It seems almost inevitable that there are Retcons Comings.) But i was pleased to discover that there's at least one fairly clean way here to make things more-or-less fit, and it ties into some pre-established continuity arond Starscream's plan with the Replica Allspark, which is a definite plus in terms of making the change less jarring. -Derik 00:27, 25 June 2009 (EDT)
:::...That leaves me a little worried that we're putting our hopes on IDW. Especially since they caused quite a few of the problems. And lets not even get into their record of continuity consistency in okaying All Hail Megatron. -- SFH 00:34, 25 June 2009 (EDT)
:::::But nothing the movies is 100% consistent with one another. Did you notice Leo mentioned the big fight from the 2007 movie took place in L.A.? And the IDW comics aren't in continuity with the first movie in a strict sense either-- Reign of starscream dedicated a page to re-doing the "gathering of the 'cons" from the dfirst movie just so they could assert "no, he's called BRAWL damnit." Or the helicopter being shot down over <strike>Afganistan</strike> America.
:::::Frankly, I think think the wiki would be best off is we weaned ourselves of this tendency to present the IDW comics as somehow "the primary continuity." They're definitely bound up tightly with the movies... but they aren't in perfect continuity with them-- and it's not just oddities, it's outright deliberate contradiction, like the Brawl thing. -Derik 00:57, 25 June 2009 (EDT)
Yeah, the movie kind of started the movement of supporting fiction such as comic books and novels more or less directly being in continuity with the primary fiction, something we saw later in Animated. :I think it has to be Saturn unless it is a plot hole. Megatron just flies there in about a day or so. It has to be in the solar system, I think. ::::::I thought someone might suggest that about The Fallen, so I didn't argue that point. I think that if he has the ability to space bridge armies across interstellar distances I would wonder why he would need the Nemesis at all. Starscream also made it to the Nemesis but he had a little longer, he could have hailed a space taxi or something. I think the movie strongly implies the Decepticons traveled by protoform from a relatively short distance and landed on the aircraft carriers. Even The Fallen. He seems to have traveled by protoform.
