He's probably had enough replacement parts to build a small army, but Ironhide doggedly refuses to roll over and die for anyone. He'll fight to the bitter end and take down more than his fair share of [[Decepticon]]s in the process.

Ironhide doesn't always see optic to optic with Prime, despite their friendship. He's perhaps the more practical of the two, and more than a little trigger happy, so he can be more willing to push to Autobot code to the limit if he thinks it will get the job done faster.

Responding to [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee's]] call for assistance, Ironhide and the other Autobots under Optimus Prime's direct command came to Earth, with the old soldier landing in a suburban pool. As he climbed out of the water, a little human girl asked him if he was the tooth fairy before he quickly hid behind some trees when the child's parents exited the house. He scanned their GMC Topkick truck and transformed, leaving the residence. He linked up with [[Jazz (Movie)|Jazz]] and [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]], and they proceeded to the rendezvous point, where they met up with Optimus and Bumblebee. After meeting [[Sam Witwicky]] and [[Mikaela Banes]], Ironhide displayed an eagerness to show off his [[weapon|cannons]].

Going to the Witwicky residence, Ironhide had lubricant released upon him by [[Mojo|a rodent]]. This unpleasant situation was made worse by [[Sam Witwicky]]'s frantic refusal to let him shoot it. Ironhide relented, despite the fact that it would cause rust. He also suggested shooting [[Ron Witwicky|the]] [[Judy Witwicky|parents]], as they were interfering with Sam's search for [[Captain Witwicky]]'s [[glasses]]. Optimus reminded him that they don't hurt humans and scolded his weapons expert, to which Ironhide meekly responded that he merely thought it should remain an option.

After Sam, Mikaela and his parents were captured by [[Sector Seven]], Ironhide and the other Autobots totally outclassed the S7 agents by instantly disarming them of their weapons, then rescuing the boy and his girl. Unfortunately, their escape was to be short-lived, as [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]] was captured by the mysterious agents after saving Sam and Mikaela's lives. The next morning, when Optimus Prime was pondering their next move, Ironhide asked why they had to save the humans, prompting Prime to go into one of his long speeches about freedom and sacrifice, concluding that the humans need not pay for the mistakes of Cybertron-kind, and if need be, he would destroy the All Spark by fusing it with his own spark. Inspired by his words, Ironhide debated no further, and the Autobots set out for the location of the All Spark, [[Hoover Dam]]. Halfway there, to their surprise, they saw Bumblebee leading a column of Sector Seven assault vehicles, so Ironhide and the rest of the Autobots joined the unit.

During the final battle at [[Mission City]], Ironhide realized that the F-22 Raptor that appeared to be providing [[William Lennox|Captain Lennox's]] troops with air cover was in fact [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]]. With Bumblebee's help, he lifted a discarded truck full of ''Furby'' toys to protect the humans against Starscream's missiles. Soon afterwards, [[Brawl (Movie)|Devastator]] attacked, forcing Ironhide to do several somersaults to avoid the Decepticon's missiles, thus totally scaring the crap out of a lady sitting in the middle of the street.

Ironhide and Ratchet took it upon themselves to protect Sam from Starscream and [[Blackout (Movie)|Blackout]] as he made his way to a rooftop where he could pass the [[All Spark]] to a military helicopter. Unfortunately, Starscream blocked off Sam's path, prompting the Autobot guardians to engage the more powerful Decepticon immediately. After being knocked down, Ironhide implored Sam to keep running.

After the destruction of Megatron and the All Spark, Ironhide somberly cradled the body of the fallen [[Jazz (Movie)|Jazz]] while Ratchet informed Optimus Prime that there was nothing they could do. Ironhide then gave Captain Lennox a ride home and spent the remainder of the day observing Sam and Mikaela making out on the hood of Bumblebee's vehicle mode.

As reported at [http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=121589 Edmunds] and [http://www.themonroetimes.com/o0706ptr.htm The Monroe Times], [http://www.monroetruck.com/index.asp Monroe Truck Equipment], in association with Hasbro, released a GMC TopKick 4500 Ironhide special edition featuring most of the modifications made to the Ironhide vehicle props used in the movie, with the only difference being that the truck will retain its stock orange running lights (the movie used blue) and the large stock sideview mirrors.

Sadly, installing a grumpy trigger-happy alien robot and deadly high-tech weaponry into the works is not part of the included modifications.

He followed them to the power plant, but was once again foiled by Bumblebee and sent packing.

Barricade tracked them to the power plant, then hounded the agents across town, wrecking every building in his path until Frenzy was recovered.

When Bumblebee went to investigate the source of an image found on the internet, he found Barricade waiting for him. Barricade blew up a nearby car and took off, sending out messages on the police radio that Bumblebee was responsible. After failing to lose Bumblebee in spite of all of Tranquility's police force being after him, he engaged him in combat. Unable to defeat Bumblebee, he hastily retreated. Later on, he encountered Bumblebee and Optimus Prime as the two were leaving Hoover Dam. With a large helicopter Decepticon at his side, he demanded the Allspark from Prime, not even caring of the consequences. He was defeated, but revealed to Prime he was merely a distraction while other Decepticons freed Megatron from his icy prison.

When the [[Create-A-Bot (Decepticon)|Decepticon Create-A-Bot]] arrived on Earth, his mentor, Starscream, directed him to rendezvous with Barricade, already active on the planet. Barricade was not enamored with the idea of a partner, feeling that the Create-A-Bot would only slow him down, but after putting the rookie through his paces, he permitted him to join him on his mission in the town of [[Tranquility]]. Barricade revealed to the Create-A-Bot what Starscream had not - that the signal which had brought the Decepticons to Earth had come from Megatron himself. The rookie dismissed Megatron as a relic, and was struck by Barricade for the insult. With some help from the rookie, Barricade discovered that the Autobot Bumblebee was already on Megatron's trail; Barricade pursued Bumblebee, defeated him in battle on the outskirts of Tranquility, and acquired the data he had gathered.

Now aware that the human military organization [[Sector 7]] was holding Megatron, Barricade arranged for [[Blackout (Movie)|Blackout]] to the Create-A-Bot to a [[Qatar]] military base, where they and [[Brawl (Movie)|Brawl]] hacked Sector 7's databanks. The file they obtained was brought back to Barricade in Tranquility for deciphering, and revealed that Megatron was being held by Sector 7 in the [[Hoover Dam]]. The Create-A-Bot suggesting relaying this to Starscream, but Barricade loudly refuted the idea, happy that the impending resurrection of Megatron would mean that he would no longer have to serve under a cowardly, back-stabbing bureaucrat like Starscream. Swayed by Barricade's words, the rookie revealed a fact that Starscream had told only him - that the All Spark was also present on Earth. Shocked by the revelation, Barricade realized that Starscream had been scheming to acquire the All Spark for himself, to ensure that not even Megatron could remove him from power. With the rookie now turned from Starscream and on his side, Barricade was able to liberate Megatron from Sector 7, and the Decepticons pursued the Autobots, now in possession of the All Spark, back to Tranquility. During the battle, Starscream finally claimed the All Spark from Bumblebee, and Barricade stood against him, intent on bringing him in for treason. Alas, the All Spark-powered Starscream destroyed Barricade, but with in death, Barricade proved to the Create-A-Bot what it truly meant to be a Decepticon.

After being active on [[Earth]] for some time, Barricade arrived to pick up [[Frenzy (Movie)|Frenzy]] after the smaller Decepticon's attempt to hack into and sabotage the United States military network on [[Air Force One]]. Using data Frenzy had acquired, the two learned of [[Sector Seven]], "Project Iceman", and [[Archibald Witwicky|Witwicky man]], the discoverer of the entombed [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]]. The duo were able to use the internet to learn of both Witwicky man's descendants, [[Sam Witwicky|ladiesman217]], and a pair of glasses that Megatron marked with the location of the long-lost [[All Spark]]. Frenzy declared that they needed to find ladiesman217, and Barricade moved out.

Later, Barricade confronted ladiesman217 regarding his recent eBay auctions while the human was fleeing Bumblebee, whom the human mistakenly believed was out to harm him. Ladiesman217 fell for Barricade's ruse, and requested the "officer's" help, only for Barricade to turn on him and violently demand information on eBay item 21153. Ladiesman217 and his [[Mikaela Banes|female friend]], who had been drawn into the encounter, managed to escape him when Bumblebee convinced the boy to trust him, and Barricade pursued both the Autobot and two humans to a junkyard. He engaged Bumblebee in battle, dispatching Frenzy to chase down the humans. However, his battle with Bumblebee ended with Barricade heavily damaged.

Evidently, though, he recovered, and was back to working order when Frenzy (who had survived and infiltrated Sector Seven) transmitted both Megatron and the Allspark's location to his fellow Decepticons. When the humans fled with the All Spark, Barricade joined in the pursuit along with [[Brawl (Movie)|Devastator]] and [[Bonecrusher (Movie)|Bonecrusher]]. Devastator soon broke off, while Barricade and Bonecrusher hit the freeway, making contact with the Autobot/human convoy. Barricade attempted to clear some room for the two Decepticons by activating his sirens; Bonecrusher simply rammed everything in his way. Ladiesman217 recognized Barricade, and warned that they were in danger.

Barricade's disappearance from the film is puzzling. It appears he was originally meant to be destroyed, as both the novel and comic adaptations of the movie depict his destruction by [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]], who had both destroyed Bonecrusher and was delayed in joining the humans and fellow Autobots. (Alternatively the children's chapter book adaption of the film [[The Transformers Quest for the Allspark]] describes Barricade as being destroyed by the US military.) Regardless in the movie proper Barricade simply does not appear again after Bonecrusher transforms. Since his remains are not seen among the Decepticon parts being buried at sea, it is possible he survived.

Some loyal Decepticons, especially [[Blackout (Movie)|Blackout]], strongly suspect this and sought to frustrate Starscream's self-serving plans. During a search of an abandoned solar system, the ''[[Nemesis (Movie)|Nemesis]]'' came across [[Ghost 1|a vessel]] that bore a resemblance to Megatron's [[alternate mode]]. The humans told him of a robotic creature that they had found, and Starscream, recognizing it as Megatron, told them it was an Autobot scout. While communicating with them, he downloaded all the information on their computers, learning that the All Spark was also located on Earth. He offered to help the humans to return to their world if they helped them attack the Autobots, hoping that Prime would destroy them and be guilt stricken in the process. They attacked Optimus and Bumblebee, but the two Autobots escaped. After their ship sank into a cavern, Starscream revealed his true nature, and abandoned them. As a result, the humans concluded neither faction could be trusted. Way to make first contact there, Screamer.

Returning to the battle, he lied to his fellow Decepticons, claiming that the two Autobots were dead and that he was unable to communicate with the humans. Blackout, unconvinced with the story, challenged Starscream to single combat. Starscream won, and the Decepticons launched an attack on the ''[[Ark (Movie)|Ark]]''. During the battle, Optimus, Bumblebee, and the human vessel showed up. Starscream was in a position to terminate Prime, when the humans fired their weapons at Starscream. Splitting up, they head to Earth, where Starscream scans an F-22 Raptor fighter jet being tested by the [[United States Military|US Air Force]] at Nellis Air Force base. He destroyed it, then adopted the vehicle form for himself. Leaving the scene of destruction, he radioed his fellow Decepticons to report in on their hunt for new disguise forms, which they do. He reiterated that their mission is to find the Allspark, to which Blackout reminds him the mission is also to find Megatron. Starscream meekly replies "Yeah, right... him too."

Later, Starscream and Blackout detected the unique radiation of the Allspark and investigate, but Starscream soon realizes it was a trap by Sector Seven. Starscream destroyed several AH-64 Apache helicopters while Blackout attacked Sector Seven's bunker and attempted to hack into their mainframe. After taking a moment to enjoy the ruin he had made of the base, Starscream proceeded to Hoover Dam. When Megatron emerged, Starscream bowed before his [[Lord High Protector|Lord]].

At [[Mission City]], Starscream took a moment to [[Ramjet (G1)|ram]] Optimus Prime during the latter's duel with Megatron, but beyond that he took no part in the battle. The first to arrive, Starscream attacked the hydro-electricity power plant attached to the dam to cause havok to [[Sector Seven]]'s operations and to speed the thawing of Megatron. With Frenzy's sabotage, Megatron quickly broke free of his icy restraints and escaped the facility and met with the waiting Starscream, who pledged his loyalty. Demanding to know what happened to the All Spark, Megatron was told by his second in command that it was now in the possession of the [[human]]s. Furious, Megatron berated his lieutenant for yet another failure.

During the assault on a nearby city, Starscream fooled [[William Lennox|Captain Lennox]]'s unit by posing as an [[Wikipedia:F-22 Raptor|F-22 Raptor]] providing cover. Starscream launched and attack that crippled [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]] as [[Ironhide (Movie)|Ironhide]] realized too late who the fighter really was. As [[Sam Witwicky|ladiesman217]] ran with the All Spark, Starscream swooped down, blocking his path, only to be attacked by both Ironhide and [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]]. Besting them, Starscream took to the skies again.

While Megatron attempted to retrieve the All Spark from Sam, Starscream perched on nearby buildings and shot down an Army Blackhawk helicopter when it attempted to help the human evacuate the Cube. Eventually, real F-22 Raptors from the US Air Force arrived and Starscream disguised himself. Pretending to be a part of their squadron, Starscream surprised the human pilots by transforming in mid-air and destroying three of the Raptors before he was fired upon. He transformed back to his disguise and fled; he was not seen in the closing moments of the battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron.

The bottom of the vehicle has small wheels to roll the toy across smooth surfaces.

Starscream claimed that his people once lived with the [[Autobot]]s, and that their treacherous leader, [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]], started a war for the All Spark. The humans told him of a robotic creature that they had found, and Starscream, recognizing it as Megatron, told them it was an Autobot scout. While communicating with them, he downloaded all the information on their computers, learning that the All Spark was also located on Earth. He offered to help the humans to return to their world if they helped them attack the Autobots, hoping that Prime would destroy them and be guilt stricken in the process. They attacked Optimus and Bumblebee, but the two Autobots escaped. After their ship sank into a cavern, Starscream revealed his true nature, and abandoned them. As a result, the humans concluded neither faction could be trusted. Way to make first contact there, Screamer.

Returning to the battle, he lied to his fellow Decepticons, claiming that the two Autobots were dead and that he was unable to communicate with the humans. * The card back of Protoform Starscream's packaging features a him with a completely different, earlier head sculpt. What's more, this head design is featured on his Protoform body in IDW's movie prequel comics.

* His protoform was not the only design to get a new head. The earliest concepts of Starscream's head were more skull like and oblong in shape. This was, of course, redesigned to look more "like a samurai helmet". Bonecrusher even hates amusingly appropriate Avril Lavigne quotes. Basically Bonecrusher hates everything and everyone, particularly buses, and lives for the day when all of creation is crushed and destroyed beneath his feet. If anyone tries to befriend him (with the possible exception of folks from Force Protection, as noted below), he will have nothing to do with them. His overwhelming anger and hatred extends even to his fellow Decepticons, including [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]] himself. Only fear of Megatron keeps him on their side. Bonecrusher was aboard the crew of the ''[[Nemesis (Movie)|Nemesis]]'', led by [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]], who were searching for Megatron, who was lost thousands of years ago, along with the [[AllSpark]]. He hated the ''Nemesis'', but would hate trying to walk home more. He also hated the AllSpark, but Megatron wanted it, so he decided not to complain. Finally, he hated Starscream, but all the other Decepticons do as well, making it something he has in common with his fellow Decepticons. He hated that.

He's described as being a terrible shot, but he doesn't really mind, as he much prefers to kill with his bare hands.

Bonecrusher was hiding out in the motor pool of a military base when he received a communique from Starscream ordering the Decepticons to to mobilize and converge on the location of the All Spark. He rendezvoused with [[Barricade (Movie)|Barricade]] and [[Brawl (Movie)|Devastator]], and the three Decepticons headed off together to intercept the Autobots and their human allies who had the All Spark in their possession.

Devastator wandered off somewhere, so Bonecrusher and Barricade continued their pursuit on the freeway. Barricade activated his sirens to clear the traffic and allow them more maneuvering room. Unsatisfied with Barricade's less conspicuous method, and since he hated rush-hour traffic, Bonecrusher used his mine-scoop to flip cars out of his way. (He kinda liked that.)

After Barricade pulled over to the side of the road, Bonecrusher transformed while still moving and skated towards the Autobots. [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]] transformed and slid into position to block his path. Seeing the Autobot he really hated (and that's saying a lot), Bonecrusher smashed through a bus (it irked him), and tackled Optimus Prime, pushing him off an overpass tumbling and falling off the edge, dragging the Autobot leader down with him.

However, Optimus Prime hit Bonecrusher so hard one of the Decepticon's [[optics]] popped free from its socket (he liked that eye... well, no, he didn't, he just hated not having it more), and the two played a little cat-and-mouse along the overpasses. After Prime jumped down to ground level, Bonecrusher swung his tail wildly at the Autobot, all the while screaming incoherently. This gave Optimus the opportunity he needed to get his sword ready... which the Autobot used to sever Bonecrusher's right arm and stab through the Decepticon's neck, decapitating him. Optimus then wrenched the head from it's neck and discarded it on the ground, he hated that too.

Bonecrusher hates his movie role.

At the same time, though, they might just be coincidentally soundalike roars that viewers are attributing words too.
