==Synopsis==
[[Ratchet (Prime)|Ratchet]] reports to [[Arcee (Prime)|Arcee]] and [[Jack Darby|Jack]] that there's an incoming vehicle, which they initially assume to be a [[Decepticon]], but they relax when it turns out to be [[June Darby]] in her car. Jack's less than enthusiastic that his mother's come to check up on him ''again'', but the mood changes when Ratchet detects an unusual magnetic flux.

[[Soundwave (Prime)|Soundwave]] has also picked up the magnetic signature, which [[Megatron (Prime)|Megatron]] recognizes as a Decepticon weapon. [[Breakdown (Prime)|Breakdown]] volunteers to secure the invention. Megatron is skeptical of Breakdown's abilities following [[Operation: Breakdown|certain recent events]], but Breakdown insists.

[[Miko Nakadai|Miko]] and [[Raf Esquivel|Raf]] arrive back at [[Autobot Outpost Omega One|base]] with [[Bulkhead (Prime)|Bulkhead]], but their high spirits drop when they realize Jack's mom is there. Arcee and Jack prepare to go conduct a routine diagnostic, but June's questioning about how safe it will be makes Arcee irritated. Ratchet asks Bulkhead to go and investigate the magnetic disturbance, and when Miko announces she's going too, Bulkhead is obliged to tell her to stay at base. Finally, June's questions become too much for Arcee, and she opts to go with Bulkhead.

In a desert area, Breakdown breaks apart some rocks to find the device he's after. No sooner has he picked it up than [[Airachnid]] puts in an appearance, clouts him and grabs the weapon. Breakdown recovers quickly and begins fighting Airachnid, until she burrows up from beneath the earth and drags him down, leaving him buried. She picks up the device and is ready to leave, when Breakdown pulls himself free of the ground, and the pair charge at each other.

Arcee and Bulkhead trudge through the rocks, discussing how Jack's mom is a killjoy, and Miko, who has quietly tagged along, asks if they can't ban her from the base. Arcee calls for a [[GroundBridge]], but Miko talks her out of it, then requests Bulkhead play some rock music. Arcee tells him to shut it off, as it's not exactly stealthy, and they soon find Breakdown and Airachnid fighting. Leaving Miko a safe distance behind, the two Autobots leap into combat, surprising Airachnid, who has just gotten the upper hand. Bulkhead tosses Arcee into the air, and she shoots at the pair before charging at Breakdown, but Airachnid insists on facing Arcee herself. After a few minutes' fighting, Bulkhead and Arcee overcome their opponents, but Breakdown grabs the weapon and activates it. Warning him that it isn't a toy, Airachnid retreats underground, and Arcee and Bulkhead find themselves being dragged towards each other. The weapon hoists them into the air before slamming them back against some rocks. Satisfied, Breakdown transforms to return to the ''[[Nemesis (Prime)|Nemesis]]''. Miko finds [[Miko's phone|her phone]] stuck to Bulkhead's chest and Arcee stuck to Bulkhead's back.

Driving along a road, Breakdown is ambushed and entangled in a web.

Ratchet realizes that the weapon Breakdown has is a [[polarity gauntlet]] and says their best bet to get Arcee unstuck is to get the gauntlet back. Arcee insists on Miko returning to base, and Miko complains loudly that she sounds just like Jack's mom, which June naturally hears over the comm link.

At an old gas station, Airachnid tries on the gauntlet. Breakdown, securely webbed to the side of the building, suggests they could take it back to Megatron together, but she's not keen on rejoining the Decepticons and thinks the gauntlet will be perfect for keeping everyone else away. Bulkhead trudges up to the gas station to confront Airachnid, who tells him to put his hands up and turn around. He does so, and Arcee promptly opens fire, managing to shoot the gauntlet out of Airachnid's hand. The device activates and drags everything metal towards it, including Breakdown, who is pulled free of the webbing and shuts the gauntlet down. Bulkhead and Arcee begin awkwardly fighting Breakdown and Airachnid. Bulkhead manages to deck Breakdown and turns to face Arachnid, but then Breakdown uses the gauntlet to drop an oil derrick on the 'Bots.

Pinned under an unconscious Bulkhead, Arcee is menaced by Airachnid. Fortunately, Bulkhead comes around in time, and the pair stand up, now separated. Arcee attacks Breakdown, but Bulkhead finds himself no match for Airachnid, who grabs the gauntlet and uses it to draw Arcee to her. Bulkhead blasts Breakdown into another oil derrick, while Arcee and Airachnid fight. Arcee eventually gets possession of the gauntlet and uses it to polarize everyone so that they repel metal. Airachnid uses her webbing to snatch the gauntlet back and transforms to escape, but Bulkhead grabs onto her helicopter mode and throws her into Breakdown. With the gauntlet secured, Arcee and Bulkhead head back to base, where they give it to Ratchet, and June apologizes for being overprotective.

Megatron is unhappy when Breakdown returns apparently empty-handed, but Breakdown reveals he has Airachnid stuck to his back. Airachnid claims she is happy to return.

He can command any machine, all with a simple touch of his hands. The strangeness of this gift doesn't quite register with the quirky, cheerful Heatwave, who perceives those unliving machines as sentient, and casually talks to and about them as if they were his drinking buddies.

Amid the strangeness that is the [[Shattered Glass (franchise)|Shattered Glass]] universe, this bizarre talent hardly seems out of place, and his heroic [[Decepticon]] allies just shake their heads at his oddities. They're too appreciative of his talent in engineering and problem solving to look too closely at his oddities, or the strange otherworldly aura he gives off despite his strong loyalty to [[Megatron (SG)|Megatron]].

Heatwave's gifts are but a hint of a greater destiny that he is unaware of—he is the torso piece of [[Nexus Prime]], created by [[Primus]] at the dawn of time to guard the multiverse's [[Rarified Energon]]. Heatwave was a member of Megatron's forces when they attacked the [[Ark (SG)|''Ark'']], a ship the [[Autobot]]s built to help them conquer other worlds. {{storylink|Shattered Glass (issue)|Shattered Glass}}

Later, when the ''Ark'' was launched for a second time, Heatwave was among the Decepticons who joined the crew of the ''[[Nemesis (SG)|Nemesis]]'' to pursue and intercept it. [[Cliffjumper (G1)|Cliffjumper]] ended up being confused by the fact that he didn't remember ever seeing a double of Heatwave in his home universe.

When the ''Nemesis'' was shot down over [[Earth]], Heatwave made use of his abilities to "talk" to the ship's computer, mentally assessing the ship's damage and rerouting some of the systems to gain enough functionality to help [[Starscream (SG)|Starscream]] evacuate the crew safely. He and [[Soundwave (SG)|Soundwave]] were then the last of the crew to leave in escape pods while Starscream and Cliffjumper remained behind to ensure the ship didn't crash in an occupied area. {{storylink|Do Over}}

After arriving on Earth, Heatwave tracked Soundwave's stasis pod to a [[Wyatt's Roadsideaganza|human tourist attraction]], where he had to dispatch some dangerous "lifeforms" and rescue Soundwave from being one of the attractions. After telling the stasis pod to repair and reformat his comrade, the two set out to gather Soundwave's cassettes that had landed nearby, find the ''Nemesis'', and reunite with the other Decepticons. {{storylink|The Desert Heat!}}

The two eventually ended up coming across [[Professor Arkeville]], [[Sephie Beller|Sephie]], [[Will Hayes|Will]], and [[Rick Ottman|Rick]] busy investigating the ''Nemesis''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s crash site. After [[Ravage (SG)|Ravage]] frightened and chased the [[human]]s for a bit, Heatwave and Soundwave finally transformed and revealed their true identities. Heatwave convinced the humans that they meant no harm, while [[Frenzy (SG)|Frenzy]] explained their situation. They then all boarded the ''Nemesis'' to meet up with Starscream and Cliffjumper.

Heatwave went along to help out as they worked on locating and reactivating the other Decepticons that had landed on Earth in the pods. When they eventually found out that [[Rodimus (SG)|Rodimus]] and the other Autobots had survived their own landing and seized control of the planet's [[Global Orbital Defense Satellite]]s, Heatwave was tapped to locate which military base they were sequestered in. He spoke with various military computers over the [[Internet|infoweb]] until he found [[Burpleson Air Force Base|one that didn't respond]], and thus was likely to have been rendered offline by the Autobots.

While the humans and other Decepticons infiltrated the main part of the base, Heatwave made his way to the satellite transmitter on the base's roof. Once there, he convinced the transmitter to tell the base computer to reopen the base and evacuate everyone, ripping the transmitter from the roof to get clear himself. He then had the controller turn one of the GODSes on the base to destroy it. Finally, he reluctantly used his hands to crush the controller itself—mournfully lamenting that it was a "brave transmitter that knew what had to be done"—which caused the primary GODS to self-destruct. {{storylink|Eye in the Sky}}

When [[Blitzwing (SG)|Blitzwing]] and Will came across the Autobots building a device in the desert, they hid and called for reinforcements. Heatwave arrived first and recognized the device as a [[Stellar Spanner]], explaining it was for long-range transportation without a [[starships|starship]]. He didn't think [[Wheeljack (SG)|Wheeljack]] could get it working, as the "[[Alpha Trion (SG)|Old One]]" was the only being to ever build one, and rumor was that [[Optimus Prime (SG)|Optimus Prime]] had killed him before he finished it. Blitzwing wasn't reassured, so Heatwave offered to go "talk" to it. Blitzwing warned him to wait for the other Decepticons, but Heatwave was too excited at using his ability on a brand-new device to listen.

Despite Heatwave being large, heavy, and brightly-colored, the Autobots were distracted enough for him to sneak partway over, until he tripped on a crumbling rock. The Autobots, happy at the arrival of a "volunteer test subject", converged on him. He transformed and blasted [[Side Burn (SG)|Side Burn]] nearly in half with a missile volley, but Wheeljack and [[Goldbug (SG)|Goldbug]] trapped his turret between them, immobilizing him. They then forcibly transformed him back to robot mode, tied his hands together, and dragged him into the Spanner. He struggled the whole way, sending Wheeljack flying with a boot to the head, but Goldbug shoved him in regardless.

Heatwave eventually freed his hands, but couldn't "talk" the Spanner into shutting down, so Blitzwing hacked into it himself. Unfortunately, Wheeljack electrocuted him before he could finish doing so, and the Spanner sent Heatwave into space.

Heatwave survived the trip to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] intact, although it was unpleasant and dumped him face-down on the ground. He sent out a call for a rescue, which came in the form of [[Whisper (SG)|Whisper]], who was happy to see him. Heatwave filled Whisper in on the situation back on Earth, then started to follow him to report to Megatron...

...and was overcome with memories of the trip through the Spanner, strangely involving [[Aquarius (SG)|rainbow colors; feelings of joy, compassion, and other pleasant sensations]]; and a message. When Whisper zipped back to tell Heatwave they needed to get a move on, Heatwave shook himself out of his reverie and followed, asking what "Keep on truckin'" meant. {{storylink|Blitzwing Bop}}

When [[Aquarius (SG)|Aquarius]], [[Breakaway (Classics)|Breakaway]], [[Landquake (Timelines)|Landquake]], and [[Topspin (Classics)|Topspin]] arrived at the Decepticons' base and explained that they were looking for Heatwave, Megatron sent [[Cyclonus (SG)|Cyclonus]] to fetch him. As he arrived, Megatron referred to him as a "skilled soldier" and said he hoped Heatwave could answer their visitors' questions. But before Heatwave could get a chance to do so, he was shocked by Cyclonus suddenly opening fire on Megatron. {{storylink|Reunification: Part 4}} Heatwave became angry and threatened to "crush the life out of" Cyclonus, though the traitor was led away before Heatwave could carry out his threat.

He then was convinced by the other four Nexus Prime members to attempt to revive Megatron, once they learned he had his own unique powers as well. As they started applying their energies to the body, Heatwave suddenly started experiencing strange sensations and visions along with the others, and exclaimed about being able to "see other worlds". Then he and the others were transported to a strange, white, featureless place.

There they were greeted by Primus, who welcomed them home and gave the now-reunited gestalt a choice: to die, live as they currently were and eventually fade away, or be reborn as what they were meant to be. Heatwave presumably chose along with the others to be "reborn", as Primus then commanded, "Arise, Nexus Prime." {{storylink|Reunification: Part 5}}

After being reborn, Nexus Prime found himself in a battle with the Autobot superweapon [[Omega Doom]]. When Omega shot a missile into Cybertron's sun, Nexus Prime had to follow to repair the sun before it went nova. The part of his mind that was still Heatwave wanted to stay on Cybertron to fight, but was overridden by the [[Skyfall (Cybertron)|Skyfall]] and Breakaway parts of him who knew that all of Cybertron would burn unless the sun was healed. {{storylink|Reunification: Part 6}}

His color details were a little different, since those likely hadn't been decided on so early, and it's not known if artist [[Don Figueroa]] was instructed to put him into the panel or if this was his own initiative. Regardless, fans were able to guess the unnamed character's importance by his color scheme and mold choice.

During the war, the Constructicons discovered a new means of transformation and combination, turning themselves into the awesome and terrifying Devastator. The technology was appropriated by the Autobots, and soon a half-dozen or so titanic combiners were in action on both sides. Their destructive potential proved to be too much for Cybertron's fragile mantle to handle, and so by the time of the Dark Ages the [[Crisis Intervention Accord]] set down new rules of warfare, prohibiting the combiner teams from operating together on any faction. They could remain an unaligned unit or join separate factions, but the risk of combiner warfare was too great. Since the combat was illegal, the gladiators could not operate out of a single arena at a set location: too much risk of being raided. Instead, the Constructicons were commissioned to create a new arena before each fight at a randomly chosen location. Their first mission was to work with [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]] and convert a human radio-telescope into a broadcasting antenna for contacting their homeworld of Cybertron. The Constructicons paused at a local truck stop to salvage the trucks and other machinery to use as raw materials in their project, earning them the wrath of the mighty [[Bomber Bill]], trucker extraordinaire. At the site of the radio-telescope, the Constructicons began their work: Bonecrusher contributed to the DE-struction part of the project, smashing the trucks into pieces so that his more artistically-inclined partners could re-engineer them as necessary. Nine million years ago, Bonecrusher and the Constructicons helped Megatron create his world engine under [[Iacon]], the means by which he would turn all of Cybertron into a mobile juggernaut, bringing his tyrannical message of "peace" to the galaxy at large. {{storylink|The War Within issue 5}} Construction was interrupted by [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] and his commando unit, however, and the engine was disabled. {{storylink|The War Within issue 6}}

During the war, the Constructicons discovered a new means of transformation and combination, turning themselves into the awesome and terrifying Devastator. The technology was appropriated by the Autobots, and soon a half-dozen or so titanic combiners were in action on both sides. Their destructive potential proved to be too much for Cybertron's fragile mantle to handle, and so by the time of the Dark Ages the [[Crisis Intervention Accord]] set down new rules of warfare, prohibiting the combiner teams from operating together on any faction. They could remain an unaligned unit or join separate factions, but the risk of combiner warfare was too great. Since the combat was illegal, the gladiators could not operate out of a single arena at a set location: too much risk of being raided. Instead, the Constructicons were commissioned to create a new arena before each fight at a randomly chosen location. The Constructicons paused at a local truck stop to salvage the trucks and other machinery to use as raw materials in their project, earning them the wrath of the mighty [[Bomber Bill]], trucker extraordinaire. At the site of the radio-telescope, the Constructicons began their work: Bonecrusher contributed to the DE-struction part of the project, smashing the trucks into pieces so that his more artistically-inclined partners could re-engineer them as necessary. Nine million years ago, Bonecrusher and the Constructicons helped Megatron create his world engine under [[Iacon]], the means by which he would turn all of Cybertron into a mobile juggernaut, bringing his tyrannical message of "peace" to the galaxy at large. {{storylink|The War Within issue 5}} Construction was interrupted by [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] and his commando unit, however, and the engine was disabled. {{storylink|The War Within issue 6}}

During the war, the Constructicons discovered a new means of transformation and combination, turning themselves into the awesome and terrifying Devastator. The technology was appropriated by the Autobots, and soon a half-dozen or so titanic combiners were in action on both sides. Their destructive potential proved to be too much for Cybertron's fragile mantle to handle, and so by the time of the Dark Ages the [[Crisis Intervention Accord]] set down new rules of warfare, prohibiting the combiner teams from operating together on any faction. They could remain an unaligned unit or join separate factions, but the risk of combiner warfare was too great. Unfortunately, Bonecrusher and the Constructicons eventually broke that agreement, allying themselves and Devastator with [[Ratbat (G1)|Ratbat]]'s [[Ultracon]] faction. {{storylink|Escalation (Dreamwave)|Escalation}} Their resulting battle with the unaligned [[Defensor (G1)|Defensor]] devastated the [[Tagan Heights]] region of Cybertron, and very nearly triggered a chain reaction that would have destroyed the entire planet. Although they were apparently not part of the original crew of the [[Nemesis (G1)|Nemesis]], the Constructicons somehow became involved in the Autobot / Decepticon skirmish on Earth in the 1980s. Like the other Decepticons, they were captured and detained by the Autobots after roughly a decade of war, and would have been transported back to Cybertron if not for the sabotage of the [[Ark II]]. Bonecrusher and many other Decepticons were taken in by the human mercenary [[Lazarus]], who attempted to reprogram their deactivated forms into remote-controlled weapons of mass destruction. Searching for new challenges, these "Constructicons" hooked up with Megatron and the underground pit-fighting ring in [[Kaon]]. Since the combat was illegal, the gladiators could not operate out of a single arena at a set location: too much risk of being raided. Instead, the Constructicons were commissioned to create a new arena before each fight at a randomly chosen location. Their first mission was to work with [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]] and convert a human radio-telescope into a broadcasting antenna for contacting their homeworld of Cybertron. The Constructicons paused at a local truck stop to salvage the trucks and other machinery to use as raw materials in their project, earning them the wrath of the mighty [[Bomber Bill]], trucker extraordinaire. At the site of the radio-telescope, the Constructicons began their work: Bonecrusher contributed to the DE-struction part of the project, smashing the trucks into pieces so that his more artistically-inclined partners could re-engineer them as necessary. As Bomber Bill arrived with a cavalry of Autobots, Soundwave instructed the Constructicons to combine into the mighty Devastator and crush the opposition. Devastator's limited processing ability kept him from efficiently targeting multiple opponents, however, giving Bomber Bill and [[Huffer (G1)|Huffer]] a chance to damage the antenna. Shockwave summoned the Constructicons to fortify their position more strategically, and the Decepticon engineers installed a ring of defensive weapons and barriers around the rim of the basin. Nine million years ago, Bonecrusher and the Constructicons helped Megatron create his world engine under [[Iacon]], the means by which he would turn all of Cybertron into a mobile juggernaut, bringing his tyrannical message of "peace" to the galaxy at large. {{storylink|The War Within issue 5}} Construction was interrupted by [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] and his commando unit, however, and the engine was disabled. {{storylink|The War Within issue 6}}

During the war, the Constructicons discovered a new means of transformation and combination, turning themselves into the awesome and terrifying Devastator. The technology was appropriated by the Autobots, and soon a half-dozen or so titanic combiners were in action on both sides. Their destructive potential proved to be too much for Cybertron's fragile mantle to handle, and so by the time of the Dark Ages the [[Crisis Intervention Accord]] set down new rules of warfare, prohibiting the combiner teams from operating together on any faction. They could remain an unaligned unit or join separate factions, but the risk of combiner warfare was too great. Starscream's plan was to convince Sin City's population to willingly accept him and the Decepticons as their new lords and masters. As part of the deception, he declared anyone not interested in his new order was free to leave the city, although the wily Decepticon cautioned that he could not protect them from anything they encountered beyond those limits. Bonecrusher was stationed at the city limits to terrorize anyone who attempted to flee, using cloaking technology and sleight-of-hand tricks to convince exiting motorists that the Constructicon was protecting them from some unseen but deadly force. Bonecrusher's tricks successfully convinced [[Paul Whitmore|Paul]] and [[Janie Whitmore]] to turn back to Las Vegas, spreading word of the dangers they faced and the "aid" the Decepticon gave them.''

The Constructicons paused at a local truck stop to salvage the trucks and other machinery to use as raw materials in their project, earning them the wrath of the mighty [[Bomber Bill]], trucker extraordinaire. Instead, the Constructicons were commissioned to create a new arena before each fight at a randomly chosen location. Shortly after assuming control of the Decepticons, [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] raided a [[Blackrock]] Aerospace Assembly Plant in order to co-opt its construction facilities for his own purposes. Using the purloined power of his prisoner, [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Optimus Prime]], Shockwave fed energy from the [[Matrix of Leadership|Creation Matrix]] into the brain modules of his new creations — Bonecrusher and the Constructicons. Their first mission was to work with [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]] and convert a human radio-telescope into a broadcasting antenna for contacting their homeworld of Cybertron. The Constructicons paused at a local truck stop to salvage the trucks and other machinery to use as raw materials in their project, earning them the wrath of the mighty [[Bomber Bill]], trucker extraordinaire. At the site of the radio-telescope, the Constructicons began their work: Bonecrusher contributed to the DE-struction part of the project, smashing the trucks into pieces so that his more artistically-inclined partners could re-engineer them as necessary. As Bomber Bill arrived with a cavalry of Autobots, Soundwave instructed the Constructicons to combine into the mighty Devastator and crush the opposition. Devastator's limited processing ability kept him from efficiently targeting multiple opponents, however, giving Bomber Bill and [[Huffer (G1)|Huffer]] a chance to damage the antenna. Shockwave summoned the Constructicons to fortify their position more strategically, and the Decepticon engineers installed a ring of defensive weapons and barriers around the rim of the basin. Nine million years ago, Bonecrusher and the Constructicons helped Megatron create his world engine under [[Iacon]], the means by which he would turn all of Cybertron into a mobile juggernaut, bringing his tyrannical message of "peace" to the galaxy at large. {{storylink|The War Within issue 5}} Construction was interrupted by [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] and his commando unit, however, and the engine was disabled. {{storylink|The War Within issue 6}}

During the war, the Constructicons discovered a new means of transformation and combination, turning themselves into the awesome and terrifying Devastator. The technology was appropriated by the Autobots, and soon a half-dozen or so titanic combiners were in action on both sides. Their destructive potential proved to be too much for Cybertron's fragile mantle to handle, and so by the time of the Dark Ages the [[Crisis Intervention Accord]] set down new rules of warfare, prohibiting the combiner teams from operating together on any faction. They could remain an unaligned unit or join separate factions, but the risk of combiner warfare was too great. Unfortunately, Bonecrusher and the Constructicons eventually broke that agreement, allying themselves and Devastator with [[Ratbat (G1)|Ratbat]]'s [[Ultracon]] faction. {{storylink|Escalation (Dreamwave)|Escalation}} Their resulting battle with the unaligned [[Defensor (G1)|Defensor]] devastated the [[Tagan Heights]] region of Cybertron, and very nearly triggered a chain reaction that would have destroyed the entire planet. Although they were apparently not part of the original crew of the [[Nemesis (G1)|Nemesis]], the Constructicons somehow became involved in the Autobot / Decepticon skirmish on Earth in the 1980s. Like the other Decepticons, they were captured and detained by the Autobots after roughly a decade of war, and would have been transported back to Cybertron if not for the sabotage of the [[Ark II]]. Bonecrusher and many other Decepticons were taken in by the human mercenary [[Lazarus]], who attempted to reprogram their deactivated forms into remote-controlled weapons of mass destruction. He failed. Bonecrusher was the first to battle Bumblebee and Prowl, and was infuriated when they made "left arm" jokes at his expense (apparently he's sensitive about being Devastator's southpaw). His cezium steel armor enabled Bonecrusher to stand up to the punishment both Autobots were dishing out, and the Constructicon was little more than dazed after Prowl expended his entire ammunition storage on Bonecrusher. Although he was eventually weakened by their combined assault, Bonecrusher held his own against both Autobots long enough for his fellow Constructicons to reach the site of the battle. Unfortunately for the Decepticons, Grimlock arrived just then as well. The Constructicons were forced to retreat before the Dinobot and his secret army of human-piloted assault helicopters. The ruthless terrorist organization known as [[Cobra]] dug dozens of Autobots and Decepticons out of their four-million-year resting place and began rebuilding them into a Cobra-controlled army. However, with [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]] and [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]]'s help, the mind-controlled Transformers were awakened, including Bonecrusher and the other Constructicons. {{storylink|G.I. While eager to get back at their former captors, the Constructicons were ordered by Soundwave to protect the [[SPS Satellite]] controls from the Autobots and [[G.I. Joe (team)|G.I. After Ratbat and the [[Senate]] began discontinuing all manual labor opportunities on Cybertron, automating the work formerly performed by Cybertronians, Bonecrusher and his construction crew found themselves out of a job. Searching for new challenges, these "Constructicons" hooked up with Megatron and the underground pit-fighting ring in [[Kaon]]. Since the combat was illegal, the gladiators could not operate out of a single arena at a set location: too much risk of being raided. Instead, the Constructicons were commissioned to create a new arena before each fight at a randomly chosen location. Using a combination of demolition, material fabrication, and surgically-skilled construction engineering, Bonecrusher and the Constructicons would convert any and all scrap available into into a new arena for the gladiators and crowd to occupy. {{storylink|Megatron Origin issue 2}} They also worked behind the scenes at the arena, repairing and upgrading damaged fighters. {{storylink|Megatron Origin issue 3}} When Megatron's insurrection began, Bonecrusher and [[Mixmaster (G1)|Mixmaster]] headed into the streets of Kaon to kill any opposition. {{storylink|Megatron Origin issue 4}}

In the modern era, Bonecrusher and his fellow Constructicons were summoned to Earth to assist Megatron in the conquest of the wretched little mudball.
