:Highjump is an Autobot Micromaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Asking Highjump to stick to the rules is like asking water to run uphill. He's the most "cloak and dagger" of the Off Road Patrol, happily ignoring battle protocol whenever it's convenient, especially on those missions that Autobot command never sanctioned in the first place. One would think that his puts him at odds with his by-the-books Patrol leader Powertrain, but the two actually get along very well. Highjump’s infiltration skills are beyond question, and he does the regrettable dirty work that sometimes needs to be done to make a mission succeed.
Marvel Comics continuity
Highjump and the Off Road Patrol were created on Cybertron as the first wave of Micromasters. Then Cybertron realized the Micromasters were a bunch of jerks, so they sent them to live with Optimus Prime on Earth. Not in a position to turn away free troops after the Underbase Saga, Prime accepted the Micromasters and assigned them to investigate a mystery in the New Jersey swamps. When Mudslinger found the Decepticon Pretenders running a weather control device, the alerted his teammates and the battle was joined. Highjump and Tote used a trip-line to send Skullgrin flying, and the weather machine was destroyed (with a little help from the Race Car Patrol in the Big Apple). King Con!

Having saved Manhattan from destruction, the Micromasters became local celebrities and vigilantes, helping to clean up the streets. When Roadhandler of the Race Cars got to be too popular as a pro wrestler (long story), Lord Zarak of the Decepticons tried to take him down a peg, sending the Decepticon Micromaster Air Strike Patrol to kidnap his fan club before a big match against Storm Cloud. Highjump and Tailspin managed to intervene and safely escort them to the match. The Interplanetary Wrestling Championship!

When Victory Saber initiated the "Zone Project", the Off Road Patrol helped rebuild planet Micro into the new and improved planet Zone. To counter this threat, Violen Jiger began conquering worlds to build his own Decepticon Zone. All the Micromaster teams, including the Off Road Patrol, were then mobilized to patrol the galaxy, specifically planets where their special abilities would be most useful. Early on, the Off Road Patrol were sent to scout a rocky, mountainous planet. Zone (story page)

Later, King Poseidon and Trypticon were sent to conquer the aquatic world of Wall. The Off Road Patrol engaged them in battle and with the help of Commanders Overload, Erector, Missile Bull and Skywave, they emerged triumphant. Zone (story page)

When the Powered Masters flew off to the Tenth Planet for their showdown with Violen Jiger, all the Micromaster teams took command of Zone and vowed to keep it safe in their Commander's absence. Zone (story page)

Dreamwave comics continuity
Highjump and Powertrain were hanging out in Little Iacon, discussing the Decepticon recruit named Blaze Master. They had tagged him as a possible change-over from the 'Cons to the Autobots' side. Highjump was also present for Big Daddy's race with Roadhandler. The Gray Race When Venom's troop attacked Little Iacon, he fought back against the Decepticon guzzlers, but ended up taken prisoner along with the rest of the Autobot Micromasters. Recipe for Hate Countdown and Big Daddy later broke Highjump and the other Micros out of the Decepticon detention facility. Victims of the Revolution

IDW comics continuity
Highjump was among the legion of Micromasters who attacked Hardhead and Nightbeat on Gorlam Prime. Spotlight: Hardhead
