#Word on the street is that Universe will return in 2010, with more G1-flavored toys. However, we were wondering if it might be like the last range, which also included newly molded toys of existing characters from Beast Wars (Dinobot, Cheetor) and Armada (Hot Shot). Can we expect the line to continue in that direction, perhaps with more Beast Wars, a Beast Machines character, or someone from another era of robots in disguises?
#The big $100 Devastator toy seems to be doing pretty well. Does Hasbro have plans to do more high-dollar ($60+) items for 2010, or is this a special item for a movie year?
#Are there plans to release any Transformers television shows (Beast Wars, Generation 1, Animated) on the blu-ray disc format? Assuming this is up to the licensor, do you have a media contact we can ask?
#On a purely hypothetical level, what Transformers characters would the Hasbro team like to see appear in the next live-action movie beyond what was in the first 2 films? Are there fans on the team of, say Mirage, Hound, and Wheeljack around? How about Astrotrain?
#Does Hasbro have an opinion about IDW rebooting the comic book series several times now? Are the hybrid designs from the G1 and Movie stylings in the comic Hasbro's idea or IDW's?
#After Comic-Con 4 months ago, we've seen released just 2 new Scout-class figures (only 1 new mold), 2 new Deluxe-class figures (no new molds, only 1 partial retool), and nothing for Voyager or Leader-classes. There have however been a number of exclusives, but none of those are new molds, just repaints. While next year does have some new figures coming up in the next month or so, why has the release schedule for the whole of the Transformers brand been so spotty in the second half when both the movie's DVD has come out and the holiday shopping season is in full effect? What is going on with the pacing for the Transformers brand?
#The motorcycle that comes with Human Alliance Skids is called "Arcee", yet neither mode looks like the female Autobot; the robot mode looks to be based on "Chromia", while the bike mode seems to be based on Mikaela's ordinary, non-transforming bike. The color scheme supports the latter as well. What's the story behind this Human Alliance "Arcee"design? Was it intended to be a new character that just had the Arcee named applied later on?
#The concept of relatives is a little strange in a species that doesn't reproduce by human methods. As such, what is the basis of the many established familial relationships among Transformers? How do things like Sideswipe and Sunstreaker being brothers, some Transformers having parents or children, etc. work exactly? Does Hasbro maintain an overall concept/idea on how these relationships work, or do they allow those that hold the fiction licenses free rein when it comes to how/which Transformers are "related"?
#When concept art for unproduced designs is revealed to the public, is it forever off the table or is it possible to revisit them for viable toys later on down the road?
#It's understood that Hasbro now owns much of intellectual property related to the Tonka GoBots, with the original cartoon left out due to rights issues. Seeing as M.A.S.K. was revived with Matt Trakker appearing in the GI Joe line, and Fracture was an homage to a GoBots character, is it possible that the GoBots stories and concepts (again, leaving out the cartoon proper) could one day be retroactively integrated into TF continuity?
#At BotCon 2005, photos were shown of an unreleased redeco of Generation 2 "Laser" Optimus Prime as a new character called Toxitron; Toxitron was shown again later on the BotCon 2007 Hasbro tour. Meanwhile, artwork of a cancelled redeco of Machine Wars Optimus Prime called "Menasor" surfaced, as did an unpainted test shot. How far along did these two redecos actually get? Were they both meant for the original Universe toyline? Would we be able to see their stock photography or deco sheets?
#We know that because toy safety laws have changed, we will never get certain items again, such as a realistic gun mode for Megatron. What about other gimmicks that worked well in the 80's and 90's but may not meet requirements today? We've heard that the "spark-shooting" action might be a similar impossibility -- can you confirm this?
Will we see a strengthening of this sub-line with additional 2010 releases, since it is very popular, or do you feel it is better to move on to products for the 3rd movie and the new upcoming tv presence (whatever it may be)?
#It is no secret that Paramount has quite a bit of pull and ownership when it comes to Transformers Movie figures. Can Hasbro please elaborate on who owns the molds. For example, would it be feasible to see the upcoming Voyager Bludgeon, ROTF Brawn, Mindwipe etc figures re-released (or re-deco'd) under a non-movie related line such as Universe? Or is that not possible because Hasbro doesn't actually own the molds?
#Setting aside the 2 limited G1 Reissues released recently this year, how does Hasbro plan to reach out to the adult collector market? With Alternators not planned for the near future, the homage based Classics "on hold", and no further Special Edition figures announced (didn't Overkill, Dragstrip, Megatron, and Optimus Prime sell well?), there appears to be more incentive for adult collectors to purchase reissues and other more targeted merchandise from outside import vendors and '3rd party' companies. Why has Hasbrotoyshop.com not established a collector service to provide Encore, Alternity, and Masterpiece figures in the same manner that MattyCollector is attending to their adult fan-base? Where are the previously seen 'Red Classics Mirage', and upgraded Classics Cliffjumper going to appear (theorized to be next in line as Special Edition toys)? Is there anything in the plans that caters more to the Transformer collector market, rather than just the whole of the Transformers brand market?
#How much of a line is decided before the line is actually in distribution? For example, is it known how many waves it will consist of? What the average figure size breakdown will be (legends/scouts/etc) and which figures will be in it? Or is there a set amount of each size class of mold that you use as a guide when you go to produce/design each new line?
Now that it's a little farther off and we've been given a ballpark dates for Arcee and Cybertron Ratchet (Spring 2010), do you have any other ballpark dates for the other figures and exclusivity deals that you can divulge?
#The new Hasbro and Discovery Network joint venture is shaping up quite well with the recent appointments. During the announcement of the network, Brian Goldner said that there will "most likely" be a new series based off of Transformers in 2010. Is there any new information regarding this new series such as the the direction, style, or release date?
#Not that the ROTF Swerve redeco isn’t great (because it is) and a good way to somewhat rectify some early fan complaints that “Sideswipe is supposed to be red!” but considering ROTF Sideswipe turns into a Corvette concept car, was there ever a dark blue redeco considered under the name of Tracks? After all, G1 Tracks was a dark blue Corvette – it basically writes itself.
#Several Constructicon characters in ROTF have multiples throughout the film – multiple Mixmasters, Rampages and Long Hauls are running around, and Scavenger and Demolishor share a body type, if not deco. Early in the film, several Constructicons, along with Ravage and Scalpel, head down the Laurentian Abyss to revive Megatron. The other Decepticons cannibalize one of the Constructicons, which fans have nicknamed “Ze Little One” after Scalpel’s line. Our question is, which of the existing Constructicon designs (most say it’s Rampage or Scrapper), if any, is Ze Little One supposed to be?
#What is Hasbro’s point of view on how IDW comics have approached the Transformers brand? How much input do they have on characters and storylines, and are they happy with the end result when it comes to the treatment of character and mythology? How does this compare to how Dreamwave approached the same material?
There's a yellow dump truck that's not the same kind of dump truck that Long Haul is, and there's a tiny treaded shovel that forms Devastator's left hand. Do you guys have names for these two Constructicons? If not, could you make some up for us right now?
#The company which syndicated the original Transformers cartoon, Claster, was a Hasbro subsidiary that has since been merged into Hasbro's media division. Since their records would now be completely in-house at Hasbro, would it be possible to get a list of the TV stations that broadcasted the original Transformers cartoon? Or barring that, the number of stations that broadcast it?
#We now know that the voice of the Universe cartoon Optimus Prime is Ron Hayden, but who are the voices of Megatron, Cyclonus and Bumblebee in the episode "Fight for Energon"? Are there also more episodes planned now the Universe line ended?
#What is the decision-making process behind making certain Transformers characters correlate with particular "nationalities?" For example, how is the decision made to have characters speak with a British accent (a la G1 Sky Lynx) or a Scottish accent (ROTF Jetfire) or a Russian accent (Animated Jetfire and Jetstorm)?
#In previous Q&A sections, it was explained that various differences between transformers toys in different global marketplaces are to sell "what makes sense" to that market or demographic. What sorts of differences between the target markets in the western world and Japan exist that cause Transformers released in Japan to vary so wildly from their "export" counterparts? For example, it is well understood that some series target younger, general public buyers like Classics, while Henkei targets Japanese adult collectors. But what market differences exist that series geared to adult collectors in both markets (Alternators & BinalTech) to be so divergent in features and decoration? Or, conversely, what demographic differences determine the variance in paint applications on otherwise alike Revenge of the Fallen toys?
#While I understand the need for the lack of verbal instructions on newer style instruction manuals (to better serve an international audience), I don't understand why additional art rendering is included in the newer style manuals. There are MANY more lines drawn in that don't correspond with anything on the actual toy (such as over exaggerated detailing), which serves to complicate identification of parts during the transformation process. While we understand detail is to help be specific, what was the decision making process that lead to the designs of the instructions being as they are now (once again, understanding that text free makes it easier for international release)? Recent examples would include ROTF Leader Jetfire (Whose instruction art is so detailed one cannot tell which part is to be moved) and ROTF Voyager Mixmaster (especially the instructions for cannon mode, as there is a hinge that likes to change directions in the instructions, that is not possible on the actual figure).
#While line-wide gimmicks (Pretender shells, Powerlinking, Force Chips, etc.) have been done away with for now, what old gimmicks would the design team most like to see visted again in a one-off homage, maybe done better this time than it was in the past (i.e. Universe Targetmaster Cyclonus).
#Several fans have noticed that a small number of the Revenge of the Fallen and other Transformers toys have codes painted on the bottom of the figure. You can find examples here: What are the significance of these painted codes, and why do they only appear on a select few toys of a given character?
#How do the "repackaged" retailer exclusive figures come to be? Take for example the Walmart exclusive Scout figures released on Black Friday. Were these left over figures from the first production run for Target stores, or were they entirely a new run of toys? If it was a new run of figures, what was the basis of the decision to not include the "unreleased" Gunbarrel, Reverb and Backtrack figures?

Megatron is awfully fond of the Rubber Ducky; it is one of his closest allies and associates. Though it seems to lack any combat capabilities, Megatron often confers with it on unknown but presumably important matters.

It is cute and yellow and chubby.

Fiction
Beast Wars cartoon
The Rubber Ducky was seen among Megatron's hoard of personal possessions, such as Starscream's head and a model airplane, guarding them perhaps. It was unable to stop Blackarachnia from ransacking the cabinets, however; all it could do was squeak in protest as she cast it aside. Coming of the Fuzors (Part 2)

When Rampage discovered that Megatron had used half of his Spark to give life to Dinobot II, he threatened to rip it from the new Predacon's chest, only to find that Dinobot II wasn't about to let that happen. The Rubber Ducky observed all this in silence from the comfort of Megatron's CR tank hot tub, apparently content that the Predacon commander had the situation under control. Feral Scream Part 1

Later, the Rubber Ducky was apparently changed into a Transmetalized state, perhaps as a result of Megatron's experiments with the technology. When Megatron decided to attack the Maximal base to disrupt an attempt to reprogram Blackarachnia, the Rubber Ducky emphasized the scheme with a resounding squeak. Crossing the Rubicon

Shortly after, the Predacons evacuated their base, seconds before Tigerhawk's arrival obliterated it. Perhaps hindered by its lack of a means of locomotion, the Rubber Ducky was not seen escaping with them, and likely became a casualty of the Beast Wars. Other Victories

A being similar in appearance to the Rubber Ducky had been hibernating underground before being excavated by Sky-Byte, who, uncaring of its fortitude, casually tossed it aside. Whether the same creature or a duplicate, it was still able to let out a defiant squeak. It seemed to be a lot bigger than you might expect for a rubber ducky (bigger than the bomb Sky-Byte found) but it may be about the right size for Megatron. Ultra Magnus (episode)

Cybertron cartoon
The Rubber Ducky was seen having a party around Ransack's head with all his other Rubber Ducky buddies. Somehow he managed to revert back to his non-Transmetal and/or Rubber form. Megatron was probably quite pleased that he lived. Yessss..... Trust (Cybertron)

Toys
Hasbro has announced no plans to produce this character in toy form. Perhaps some day, however, the Rubber Ducky might appear rendered in plastic or some other similar, soft, malleable material suitable for play and bathtime.

According to Glen Hallit, one of the 3H-proposed exclusives for the 2005 convention was Robots in Disguise Megatron retooled as Beast Wars Megatron, with a Rubber Ducky accessory. This would have been awesome.

Trivia
* Rubber Ducky—he's the one.
* Megatron's voice actor David Kaye has been known to oblige requests at conventions to sing the Sesame Street Rubber Ducky song in his Beast Wars Megatron voice.
* Megatron's affinity for duckies may or may not be an inspiration for Ego's affinity for plush lizards, though the lizard is known to also squeak "Hi!" at frequent and annoying times.
He failed as miserably as his competitors did, but when it came time to defend his failure to Megatron, his lies were so cunning, so audacious, that he earned a measure of his leader's respect. Megatron promoted him on the spot. Perspective

Many years before the civil war on Cybertron, Jazz was a member of the Security Force under Prowl. As Optimus pondered the venerable age of the artifacts they had found at an excavation near the temple of Simfur, Jazz jokingly asked if they were as old as Ratchet, earning him a threat of vocal processor-disabling retribution and a wack on the back of the head. He was present when Arcee's team found a strange artifact with the strange symbol and helped escort the relic out of the dig site when the aliens whom Commander Starscream had encountered earlier suddenly attacked the planet. Defiance issue 1

In the aftermath, Jazz accompanied Prowl as the latter investigated the attack on the Simfur temple. Prowl theorised that the aliens were trying to break into the temple, not destroy it, Jazz opinied that they must have been after the All Spark. When Megatron rallied Cybertron's inhabitants to war against the alien attackers, Jazz and most of the others in the science and security division loyally stayed at Optimus's side to uphold the ideals of Cybertron. Later, when Prime mentioned Megatron's questionable behavior and wished there was unity in the population, Jazz pointed out that he had the same chance of convincing Megatron to be unified as they do of being considered part of his army. Realising sentries such as Prowl and Jazz had access to Megatron's personal quarters, Prime asked them for a favour. Defiance issue 2

Jazz accompanied Optimus and Prowl to Megatron's quarters, where Optimus discovered that the relic previously unearthed seemed to have been restored by Megatron himself. Later, Jazz was part of the team sent to arrest Optimus for treason. However, on the way to Trypticon, the group were ambushed by members of the Defense Force sent to kill them. Optimus directed the others in a successful counter attack and ordered the group to rally at Burthov. Defiance issue 3

Jazz and several other former security officers helped Cliffjumper "capture" the former military officer Ironhide and bring him into the rebel base to see Optimus Prime. Later after it was discovered that Megatron was building a massive starship for some unknown purpose, Jazz was the one who suggested they should have their own ship as well, just in case. During the subsequent civil war, Jazz fought alongside Optimus Prime in their struggle for freedom, but as the war reached its height, Optimus decided to launch the All Spark into space to keep it out of Lord Megatron's hands and to buy them time. Defiance issue 4 Bumblebee was successful in diverting the Decepticon leader's attention at Tyger Pax, but was grievously injured as a result.
As the Autobots prepared to leave Cybertron to go after Megatron and the All Spark, Optimus Prime expressed concern on if the remaining civilians and Autobots on Cybertron could hold out while they were gone. Jazz informed him that their troops were laying low, but if the Decepticons tried any mischief, they would be in for a nasty surprise. The Reign of Starscream issue 1
Jazz likes "to keep his bodywork buff" by externalizing his Spark Core forcefield - in the past, that led to him almost being killed when Bonecrusher almost tore out his unprotected Spark. He only survived thanks to fellow Autobot Clocker, who was killed covering his retreat. Transformers Comic issue 6

When the All Spark was launched, Jazz, Ratchet and Ironhide attempted to distract Megatron from pursuing it. They ended up attacked by Devastator and warped across space by a fold-space weapon. Prelude: Megatron

Jazz ended up on a planet that he dubbed "the Information Highway"—a constantly-morphing world with "the accumulated knowledge of countless alien cultures, condensed into some kind of sensory precipitation". He loved this world and the constant new experiences so much that he deliberately ignored Ratchet's homing beacon, wanting to stay here forever. However, the planet was alive and predatory, and ended up absorbing him into it - he fired off a warning buoy to stop others arriving, and only this led to Ratchet & Ironhide finding where he was and rescuing him. Transformers Comic issue 6

He doesn't like the war and, as the Information Highway incident shows, has no qualms about deserting if given the opportunity.
Because of a lack of troops on Earth, Ratchet used a corrupted fragment of the All Spark to bring Jazz back to life. Happy to be back, Jazz blew off the suggestion that death had made any impact beyond him wanting to live every day as if it was his last, and he was dispatched with Ratchet to secure a raw energon field.

Unfortunately, it turned out the corrupted fragment had indeed led to Jazz himself being corrupted; he paralyzed Ratchet and attempted to exploit Earth's apocalypse by selling the newly energon rich planet to the highest bidder. His auction was interrupted by Dreadwing, who rejected an offer to join forces, and attacked. Ratchet revived and managed to destroy the energon field the auction was being held in; Jazz escaped in the resulting confusion. Dark Spark

He later kept back as a happy hired gun for Starscream, out to murder Optimus Prime. He was prevented from this when the second hired gun, Kullt, turned up; he realised Starscream didn't trust him to be able kill an old comrade and was so insulted he gunned down the other mercenary. He was left rattled when Optimus pointed out he could have let Kullt do the work for him and then gun him down, which suggested there was still some goodness in him. He drove off in the face of reinforcements, vowing to prove Optimus wrong next time. Hard Target

Jazz was part of Optimus Prime's unit, summoned to Earth by Bumblebee after the latter Autobot came to be in the possession of Sam Witwicky. After his protoform crashed through a baseball stadium, he investigated a nearby car dealership and chose a Pontiac Solstice hardtop as his vehicle mode.

Linking up with his fellow Autobots in a deserted alley, Jazz greeted Sam and Mikaela Banes as "little bitches," stating that Earth seems to be a cool place to hang out. He casually sat on the hood of another car while Optimus Prime explained to Sam they learnt Earth's languages through the internet. He then relayed their mission to find the All Spark and explained how his grandfather's glasses were the key to its location.

Soon after, as Sam looked for his grandfather's glasses, the Autobots attempted to assist by clumsily destroying the yard where they went. When it came to hide from the parents, Jazz had the easiest time blending into the shadows due to his small stature.

When Sam and Mikaela were captured by Sector Seven, the Autobots mounted a rescue that saw Optimus Prime tearing the roof off Agent Simmons's vehicle. When the agents attempted to resist, Jazz used a magnet to relieve the humans of their weapons. After Bumblebee was captured by Sector Seven during the retreat, Jazz expressed his desire to rescue him, but was overruled by Optimus Prime, who didn't believe it possible to accomplish this without harming the humans, and so they should let them go.

The next day, after Optimus used his navigation scanner on Archibald Witwicky's glasses, Jazz again commented that they could not leave Bumblebee to die at the hands of Sector Seven, to become a human experiment. Optimus replied that Bumblebee would die in vain if they did not find the All Spark, and when Ironhide asked if the primitive and cruel humans deserved to be saved, Optimus countered by asking if Transformers were so different in the past. Going on to explain what he saw in the humans, Prime declared that if it came to it, he would sacrifice himself to destroy the All Spark - the humans should not pay for Cybertron's mistakes. Inspired by his words, Jazz and the other Autobots rolled out, filled with determination.

On the way to Hoover Dam, the Autobots encountered Bumblebee leading a column of Sector Seven assault vehicles. Jazz and his fellow Autobots applied brakes and did a hard u-turn to join the formation.

Entering Mission City, the human soldiers tried to call for air support from their own forces, only to be attacked by Starscream disguised as a human F-22 fighter. Jazz, oddly, sat in vehicle mode after the explosion which crippled Bumblebee, destroying his legs. When Devastator began shelling the battle site, Jazz led the Autobot charge toward the Decepticon, speeding to the tank in vehicle mode, then transformed and hopped on top of the turret to distract the Decepticon from the humans. As Devastator also transformed, Jazz managed to wreck his left-side rocket launcher pod before being tossed off. He then sped back to the battle, firing at Devastator, while Ratchet sliced of Devastator's left arm.

Jazz tried to delay Megatron when he appeared on the scene in order to cover the escape Captain Lennox's men and civilians. Despite Lennox's cries for him to fall back, Jazz bravely faced Megatron alone, but all he got for his trouble was being blasted by the Decepticon's fusion cannon. As Ironhide and Ratchet escorted Sam and the All Spark to safety, Megatron preyed upon the small Autobot who had the audacity to attack him. The Decepticon leader tossed him through the air, then landed upon him with the crushing grip of his talons. Valiantly, Jazz fought on to the bitter end as Megatron tore him in two, throwing his pieces to the ground before attacking Optimus Prime.

[[Image:Movie Prime Jazz Ironhide Ratchet battleaftermath.jpg|right|250px|thumb|"We lost a great comrade today.
After being separated from Sam Witwicky, Ratchet hurried to Jazz, but his spark had already faded. In the aftermath of Megatron's defeat, Ironhide somberly handed Optimus Prime Jazz's remains as Ratchet reported that he could not save their comrade. The Autobot leader somewhat half-heartedly eulogized him, and quickly moved on. Transformers (2007)
Jazz arrived on Earth as part of Optimus Prime's unit, summoned to the human planet by Bumblebee. After taking on the form of a Pontiac Solstice, he met up with the other Autobots. His first mission was to distract Sector Seven and law enforcement units, which he did, buying his fellow Autobots time to escape. Jazz was then surrounded by Sector Seven SUVs and Decepticon drones numerous times, requiring Ironhide's help to escape.

He would then make his way to Mission City, where he engaged Starscream, Blackout and two Dreadwing drones. Jazz's first appearance is with the other Autobots, meeting in an old junk yard. Setting out into the city, he retrieved a number of Sector Seven vehicles before running into Blackout; after a tedious battle, Blackout ran. Returning to the group, Jazz informs that Sector Seven holds Megatron and the AllSpark in the Hoover Dam and has patrols looking for the Autobots, which Bumblebee volunteered to distract them, getting himself caught in the progres. Jazz later upload a virus to access Sector Seven mainframe, and downloaded data from a military hanger. Jazz was able to get the data, despite being outnumbered by remote vehicles, returned to the rendevous point, which he reported that he was able to find an entrance to the base and Bumblebee, but could not find Megatron and the AllSpark. Jazz tells Optimus that resuing Bumblebee be their first priority because of Bumblebee's tracking ability, which Optmus agrees. When the Autobots returned to Tranquility with the AllSpark, Jazz required assistance to take out spark drones within the area. Create-A-Bot answered the call and both Autobots took out 50 drones. With the drones destroyed, Jazz stayed where he was in case more show up and told Create-A-Bot to check on Bumblebee. At the Hoover Dam, Jazz set up several automated turrets and Autobot drones around the lower perimeter of the Dam, preventing Megatron from escaping. However, this line of defense only works for so long, as the turrets could only fire at air-borne objects. Finally getting up the side of the Dam, Jazz stepped in Megatron's path, doing little more than trash talking before Megatron jumped into battle. After a roughly equal fight, Jazz finally fell. Megatron then finished him off and desecrated the Autobot's corpse. Transformers Autobots/Decepticons
:A much smaller version of the character, Legends-class Jazz features limited articulation and detail, along with a much simpler transformation. A rather glaring side-effect of this simplicity, in a desire to mimic the hood chest of the larger toy, is the addition of kibble: a second front bumper on the roof of his alt-mode. Whether this means Jazz also includes a second engine to go with this front bumper or an attempt at compensation for a case of police car envy is unknown. Ironically, the smallest version of Jazz is the biggest Legends toy in the movie line. Even bigger than Optimus. This may make up for the Arcee toy being taller than his Deluxe figure.
:Jazz transforms into a silver Pontiac Solstice Custom Hardtop. Included is a blaster weapon that elongates into a sniper rifle, which may also be clipped directly onto his rear spoiler when in vehicle mode. In robot mode, the section featuring this same rear spoiler may be kept folded onto his back or worn on either shoulder as a shield. An interesting undocumented feature is a hinge joint located on the bottom of the rifle can attach to the shield's hinge joint, creating three choice weapon configurations: (a) a mounted long range sniper rifle, (b) an ambidextrous shoulder-mounted cannon, or (c) a short range blaster with built-in shield somewhat akin to what has been seen in Jazz's concept art and in the movie itself.

:As with most of the mainline toys, he features a Automorphing gimmick that is activated by pushing the car roof down onto his back and locking it into place. This raises his head and slides his chest panels into proper position for the robot mode. This feature, like the weaponry mentioned above, is not documented at all, so one must be careful to not press the chest and the back at the same time.
**Accessories: "Crescent Cannon", energy-blast missile

:An extensive retool of Jazz, modifying his head and most of his legs to give them a broken, battle-scarred appearance. Amusingly, because Hasbro chose to keep his vehicle mode pristine, the rest of his body is undamaged. All the damaged parts have a black and blue deco, representing glowing circuitry and exposed conduits.

:Jazz comes with a brand new spring-loaded weapon (called a Crescent Cannon on the packaging), partially modeled after the actual weapon Jazz appears with in the film. It can fire a transparent blue projectile and, not unlike his original featured weapon, can be mounted in different configurations: (a) Mounted on his right arm with the Crescent Cannon missile launcher (with the crescent up) facing forward a la the film, or (b) mounted on his left arm with the flip-out rifle barrel pointed forwards (with the crescent down). The cannon can actually be rotated on the connecting peg, allowing the gun to be mounted in either configuration on either arm.

:Unusual for a regular Deluxe class figure, this version of Jazz is packaged on his card in robot mode, no doubt to highlight the changes to the figure that would not be visible in the vehicle mode.

:In addition to the retooled forearm joint also found on the Target exclusive "G1 color" Jazz, a running change variant of Final Battle Jazz adds another peg to the Crescent Cannon, thus allowing Jazz to use the weapon in all the different configurations on either arm.

:As part of the Robot Replicas line, this version of Jazz is a non-transforming action figure that utilizes Revoltech-style jointing. The sculpt hews much closer to the movie CGI model than is possible with the full transforming toys, plus the universal jointing of the line allows for his forearm to be replaced with the included Crescent Cannon (which is also called that on the toy's packaging), or parts from other Robot Replica figures. Jazz's shoulders are actually mounted on the wrong sides of the toy as compared to the Movie's CG design, but can easily swapped due to the toy's body construction.
Trivia
* The packaging text for the Deluxe Jazz figure refers to his weapon as a "telescoping sword". As ridiculous as this sounds, considering this weapon looks like a firearm and can attach to his spoiler in vehicle mode as such, this very idea actually comes from concept drawings of a sword weapon featured on the same concept art that also had Jazz showcasing the short range blaster/shield thingy both featured in the film and included with his Final Battle retool. So, really...not that ridiculous anymore.

* According to a press kit sent out in conjunction with the movie, Jazz has a "near-perfect recordable memory that makes him invaluable as a documenter of battles" and is "equipped with a fusion engine that allows him to reach sub-light speeds in vehicle mode." One, uh, would hope a Pontiac Solstice would be travelling at sub-light speeds...

* During the final battle in Mission City, there's a long period during which Jazz is not doing anything. He's standing around in vehicle mode when Ironhide notices that the F-22 flying above the city is Starscream, stays in vehicle mode when Ironhide and Bumblebee pick up a Furby delivery truck for cover, still remains in vehicle mode when Starscream blasts them, and after Sam discovers that Bumblebee has lost his legs, all Jazz does is pull back for a few feet to give Bumblebee space to crawl. In the end, Jazz doesn't really join the battle at all until Brawl shows up.

* In an earlier draft of the movie script, Megatron was supposed to "consume" the sparks of Autobots he killed. A remainder of this can be found in the novelization and the IDW comic adaptation of the movie, which both explicitly state that Megatron tears out Jazz's spark. In the movie itself, however, Megatron simply appears to kill Jazz by ripping him apart at the waist, even though Frenzy was previously able to survive as a detached head. However, a recent rejiggering of Frenzy's biology makes this a moot point.

*Jazz's manner of speech is a late development. In the early script draft his first line in the film is simply saying "Greetings" the humans.

* Though it is very brief, Jazz does indeed get a face close-up during the Mission City battle when he is shot by Megatron and falls over in pain, before he is ripped in half.

* In an appeal to his better nature in Titan, Optimus said part of him was "still Autobot Jazz", a reference to the name of the Jazz toys.

* Jazz was included in the downloadable content for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of the Revenge of the Fallen game. Apparently over-compensating for not being in the movie, Jazz is pretty much the most dangerous robot ever. If you play against him, just run.

* In both of his console game appearances for the first movie game and the second Jazz was not seen wearing his iconic visor.

A recent arrival to Earth, the hot-headed Knockout questioned the Autobots' alliance with the humans in NEST and Optimus Prime's concern for their safety. He didn't think the loss of a few humans "among their swarming billions" would be missed.

Knockout was sent to Peru along with Longarm, Epps, and Petr Andronov to investigate a Decepticon signal. As soon as Knockout sighted their enemies, he rushed off, only to come running back as Blademaster and Ruination chased him. After Longarm bitch-slapped him for being such an idiot, Knockout actually did a good job of helping in the ensuing fight, even saving the older Autobot's life by holding Ruination back.

Later, when the team was hunting Swindle and Deadend in Rome, Knockout was the one most capable of navigating the tight streets. He once again ran off on his own, but this time, he had good intentions; he got the two Decepticons to crash into each other, damaging them (albeit not severely) and pissing the hell out of Starscream. Knockout watched along with the other Autobots when the Decepticon commander challenged Optimus Prime to a fight, but they soon found themselves dealing with him instead when he tricked and trapped Optimus. But the Autobot leader soon arose, causing Starscream to take flight.
:Knock Out is part of the first wave of Revenge of the Fallen Scout Class figures. He transforms into a green racing motorcycle. Similar to Bumblebee, his right hand is morphed in a plasma cannon. The vehicle cowling panels, which become leg kibble in robot mode, are only held in place by pegs and tend to fall off during conversion (luckily, they can also be attached to his back, making him look MORE like Waspinator).

Giga leads the Decepticon forces on Earth alongside his wife, Mega, serving as the "Ambassadors of Destruction" for the mysterious alien entity and self-styled Decepticon god, Devil Z. Giga has given himself over entirely to the Decepticon goals of conquest, but at the same time, has not lost touch with his humanity, believing that humans should be the ones to rule their own planet. He realizes that a bloodless takeover is essentially impossible, but Devil Z's hate-fuelled willingness to exterminate human beings to achieve his goals often leaves a bad taste in Giga's mouth.

As Decepticon Godmasters, both Giga and Mega are bonded to the same Transtector from the G Nebula. This transtector, Overlord, splits into two components, the Gigatank piloted by Giga and the Megajet piloted by Mega.

Precisely how Giga and Mega were recruited by Devil Z was never revealed. The couple were bonded to the largest of the eight Transtectors that Devil Z had brought to Earth, and were charged by the alien with finding the other Godmaster Transtectors scattered across Earth. They operated out of a secret island base while Devil Z's other Decepticon minions, led by Blood, kept the Autobots on Earth busy. Giga and Mega discovered the German brothers Hydra and Buster and a pair of jet Transtectors in North America and bonded them together, bringing them to their island for training in the use of their mighty new powers.

Eventually, Devil Z decided bring his Decepticon troops together, and dispatched Blood's Decepticons to Giga and Mega's island, where Giga explained to the newcomers the power of the Godmasters. Super Warriors - The Godmaster Brothers With their forces now united, the Decepticons all relocated to the base used by Blood, and began anew their campaign to plunder energy and destabilize the natural balance of the world. A Fierce Battle!! The Autobots Are in Trouble

Soon, Giga and Mega revealed to Hydra and Buster that they were not the only Godmasters on Earth, and ordered them to seek out more of their kind. The first Godmaster to be discovered, however—a trucker named Ginrai—wound up siding the Autobots. A Hero Is Chosen - His Name Is Ginrai In order to beef up Hydra and Buster's armament for the subsequent hunt for Ginrai, Giga and Mega provided them with Deathballs (powerful explosives that Giga road-tested by driving them into a passing military jet with a gold club) Ginrai: God On of Rage!! but the Godmaster brothers repeatedly failed to best their Autobot opponent, prompting Giga and Mega to call in King Poseidon. Eliminate the Godmaster Ginrai

Things just kept going from bad to worse for the Decepticons, though, when three more Godmasters were discovered and sided with the Autobots, leaving Giga and Mega furious, and with very little patience for the Six Changer Sixknight, who attempted to offer them his services and who they turned away with mocking laughter. A Powerful Foe!! Sixknight the Wanderer

Giga and Mega next tried turning the rest of Earth against the Autobots, by having Mega pose as a fortune teller on television in order to predict disasters that they could blame on the Autobots. Giga took the Gigatank into battle for the first time in order to fulfil one of these "prophecies" by blowing up Watson Dam, Expose the Decepticons' Dark Deception! but when even that plan was foiled, the couple finally determined that it was time at last for them to take matters into their own hands. Luring Ginrai into the desert, Giga and Mega unleashed their full power by combining into Overlord and thrashing Ginrai under he was near death. Super Ginrai Gets Blown Away in the Desert!? Following this victory, they departed Earth for the moon, where they took over a weather monitoring station and awaited the arrival of the approaching Decepticon super-weapon, BlackZarak. God Ginrai - Into the Sky!! Ginrai, combined with the drone Godbomber and aided by Grand Maximus, pursued them, and after a prolonged battle, Giga and Mega were badly wounded and forced to flee back to Earth. God Ginrai - Showdown on the Surface of the Moon

After their defeat on the moon, Giga and Mega made several attempts to destroy Godbomber, first with a "Chōkon Tornado" in the desert, Overlord - Terror of the Chōkon Tornado then by separating him from Ginrai Destroy Godbomber!!, but both plans failed. Giga's next plan was the infinitely more daring "Operation: Dark Base of the Lighthouse", conceived when the Decepticons were approached by the final Godmaster, Clouder. Appearance!! The Final Godmaster Giga exploited Clouder's ability to adopt two robot forms by installing him as a double agent within the Autobot ranks, and using the information that he obtained about the heroes' headquarters to mount a full-scale assault against on their base. Secret Orders! The Autobot Base Explodes

When BlackZarak returned to Earth, Giga was shocked by Devil Z's decision to have the powerful Decepticon destroy all of humanity in one fell swoop using the atmosphere-destroying Death Para-Machine. Giga held his tongue, and the plan was ultimately thwarted by the Autobots, Crisis! The Day of the Downfall of Humanity but Giga's doubts remained, and only grew when Devil Z—now inhabiting the body of BlackZarak—revisited the idea, this time deciding to use his Devil Power to wipe out mankind. Giga could remain silent no longer, and spoke out against the destruction of mankind, only for Devil Z to utterly ignore his pleas. When the alien fulfilled Buster and Hydra's wishes to become truly robotic beings, the horrified Giga and Mega resolved to prove the power of humanity to Devil Z by fighting Ginrai without weapons, using only the power of their spirit and flesh. {{storylink|Battle to the Death!!
When Devil Z relocated the Decepticons to the peak of the Matterhorn for an attack against Europe, Giga and Mega found themselves in opposition to their emperor once more when he subjected Hydra and Buster to corporal punishment for their repeated failures. The couple tried to restrain Devil Z, causing him to turn on them, and they would have died then and there had Ginrai not come to their rescue. Malevolent and Inhuman! The True Form of Devil Z As Ginrai engaged Devil Z in battle, Giga and Mega realized that they could no longer serve the alien, and that they now owed Ginrai a debt of honor for saving them. Joining their old foe against their former leader, Giga and Mega were struck down by a bolt of Devil Power, and forcibly separated from their Transtectors by Devil Z's powers. As Overlord came to life as a true super-robot lifeform, Mega and Giga collapsed on the snowy ground, and their Masterbraces vanished from their wrists. With his last breath, Giga regretted that he could not end his rivalry with Ginrai honourably, and the couple died. A Battle... and Then...
Giga and Mega came under Devil Z's rule when they drowned at sea, possibly as part of some kind of lover's suicide. As their lifeless bodies drifted to the bottom of the ocean trench in which the alien had been hibernating for years, Devil Z saw use for the humans, and used his mysterious powers to restore them to life. Bonding them to the largest of the eight Transtectors he had brought to Earth, Devil Z charged Giga and Mega with finding the other Godmasters lost around the Earth. The Birth of the Super Lifeforms

After locating and training the first two Godmasters, Hydra and Buster, Giga and Mega met with the Pretenders and Headmaster Juniors that were already operating on Earth under Devil Z's command. The couple took an immediate liking to the three young Juniors, and become something unto a father and mother for them, creating an odd "Decepticon family". {{storylink|Enter on the Stage!
When an attempt to dupe the Autobots with holographic images of legendary Decepticons failed, prompting Buster to inquire if there were any real troops available, Giga informed him that they would need to wait for Devil Z's order. Burn, Super Soul! The New Commander Super Ginrai! The order came soon, when Devil Z instructed the Earth-based Decepticons led by Giga and Mega to team up with the space-based Decepticon forces under the command of BlackZarak. The Battle Begins! The United Earth-Space Troops With this alliance to strengthen them, Giga and Mega unveiled their Transtectors for the first time in an attack on a city, and combined into Overlord to battle God Ginrai. God Ginrai's Amazing Super-God Combination!
In an attempt to expand their twisted family, the Decepticons kidnapped Shūta Gō and Cab and tried to torture them into joining their ranks. Wilder was not in favor of inducting the Autobots, but Giga informed him that they were always willing to embrace anyone who wanted to become part of their family. Minerva soon arrived to save her teammates, however, and Ginrai and Grand Maximus dispatched Overlord. The Earth Family of Good and Evil Their next attempt at enlarging their family was similarly ineffective, when the final Godmaster, Clouder, joined up with the Decepticons, only to turn on them and side with the Autobots. Giga believed that they hadn't shown Clouder enough love and concern. Decepticons' Great Counterattack!

Giga and Mega became Overlord again to join BlackZarak in attacking an Earth city, but they were defeated by the power of the Autobots' newest weapon, the VX Bomb. Live? Die?! The Desperate Super-God Combination Later, as the New Year approached, Giga and Mega wanted the Decepticon family to celebrate the New Year together. However, they found Cancer sneaked out of the Decepticon headquarter and runs away with Browning, leaving behind a letter that states he doesn't want to be a Decepticon any more. As for Cancer, who thought himself could live a normal life again, only met BlackZarak who winded up attacking the city where he went to. BlackZarak displayed his dismissive attitude towards humans—even comrades—when the Autobots arrived to battle him, seizing Cancer and using him to keep the Autobots at bay. Giga and Mega soon arrived, and, horrified at the sight of their surrogate son being treated in this manner, combined into Overlord and thrashed BlackZarak for his actions. The Autobots used this opening to attack both Decepticons, forcing them to retreat. Great Turn-Around! Autobots

Giga and Mega's actions in the last battle proved to be the last straw for Devil Z. Possessing BlackZarak's body, he turned on his minions and Ginrai and attempted to absorb their Jinchōkon, in order to transform himself into the ultimate lifeform. They were saved by the Autobot Pretenders, who blocked Devil Z's Jinchōkon-absorbing beam with their entirely robotic bodies, and Giga and Mega decided to join with the Autobots to defeat their treacherous emperor once and for all. All the Autobots and Decepticons united their energies in the "Perfect Transform Attack", obliterating Devil Z and BlackZarak in one mighty explosion of pure Chōkon Power. Alas, the death of Devil Z caused the cessation of the energies sustaining Giga and Mega, and the couple died along with the alien. Devil Z's passing had another unexpected side effect, causing the Transformers' Transtectors to come to life as true super-robot lifeforms that soon departed for space to continue their war. The now-living Overlord declared that he would continue to battle Ginrai and the Autobots, and defeat them in the name of Giga and Mega's memory. The Birth of the Super Lifeforms
:Giga comes packaged with Overlord, and transforms into black, teal and golden-chromed engine block. In humanoid mode, he lies in the cockpit of the Gigatank, while in engine mode, he snaps into the tank's engine socket in order to unlock it for transformation. Once Overlord is fully transformed into robot mode, Giga can be removed from the tank's socket and plugged into either of the two sockets in Overlord's chest; nominally, he is intended to be placed in the right-hand socket, unlocking Overlord's "Chōkon Daemon Blast" stomach-cannon. Conversely, if Overlord is transformed into base mode, humanoid-mode Giga can stand in the control room of the base's central tower, or in engine mode, can attach to base's small scout car
