I'll restrain myself from posting the Youtube links for the good of the wiki. --Hunter-113 18:57, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
I'd like to point out that this page is fully protected and not semi-protected as the template claims. (Also, the title is actually "A Bridge Too Close, Part II".) —Interrobang 13:48, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Kick
I seem to recall that before Bookworm, we had several discussions about whether Ramjet kicking the defeated Starscream was a TFTM reference and should be included here. I'm definitely in the "yes" category, but some people thought it wasn't precise enough. Well, since then, the Human Error pt. II article includes as a reference Laserbeak flying away with a piece of Soundwave, like in Headmasters.... even though it was a different body part. If I put the kick reference in here, will people really complain? --Thylacine 2000 16:48, 26 May 2010 (EDT)
:Why not ask Derrick about both on his formspring account?--Jimsorenson 16:54, 26 May 2010 (EDT)
::His response to whether it was a reference: "Not overtly. Maybe subconsciously?" Make of that what you will. Honestly, given the tenuousness of a lot of the "references" and "similarities" we showcase here (not just Laserbeak carrying Soundwave's SOMETHING, but also in this own episode the ending being "like" that of Transport To Oblivion), I think it should go back in. --Thylacine 2000 14:14, 28 May 2010 (EDT)
:::I find this logic somewhat tenuous. There is material here that probably shouldn't be here, so let's add more? My inclination is to just take a blowtorch to those so-called 'references.' --Jimsorenson 14:39, 28 May 2010 (EDT)
::::Any other opinions on this? I think that, since Derrick explicitly said that no, it wasn't a reference, it doesn't belong here.--Jimsorenson 15:11, 29 May 2010 (EDT)
:::::Remove it with fire. --ItsWalky 15:28, 29 May 2010 (EDT)
::::::Totally. If we document a lot of tenuous references in Animated, it's because we have not taken the flamethrower to the episode pages lately. They attracted a lot of grasping-at-straws "reference" notes when the show was running, and there just ain't enough of us to nuke them all. -- 75.2.240.140 21:43, 29 May 2010 (EDT)
