Synopsis
Unit 1 and Unit 2 speed to intercept Megatron, who is in the process of stealing the Golden Disk. Unit 1 is incapacitated. After a disagreement with one of his troops about honor, Megatron and his forces retreat with their prize.

In the shadows of Cybertropolis, a mysterious figure orders Buzzsaw and Laserbeak to assist Megatron secretly in his escape. Meanwhile, Megatron's troops have succeeded in heisting a ship, the Darksyde. This forces Unit 2 to commandeer his own, the Chromia 10, although her pilot insists on doing the flying.

Inside the Maximal Defense Command Center, three Maximals meet to discuss the situation. After a briefing, they decide to send the Axalon after Megatron. On a space station, one of the Axalons crew complains to another about delays. Yet another scolds them. Optimus Primal sees to his cargo.

After the Axalon departs, she receives her mission to stop Megatron. Just then, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw attack in their ship. The Chromia 10 arrives to help, but both of these ships are destroyed. Unit 2 and the pilot, however, are brought aboard the Axalon by remote spark core transfer.

A crew member of the Darksyde secretly transmits data from the Golden Disk to an unseen recipient. As the Axalon closes in, Megatron again flogs his honor-bound subordinate before greeting the Maximals with an array of ammunition. The Darksyde escapes into a transwarp portal, followed closely by the Axalon. To be continued!

Much later, after Megatron's techo-superiority reign, Razorclaw vows that the Predacons will defeat the Maximals.

Items of note
*Rattrap calls Rhinox a "rhinoceros". In "Beast Wars (Part 1)", he calls Rhinox a "bulldozer."

*On the space station, Rhinox and a group of armed guards can be seen loading Protofom X's stasis pod onto the Axalon.

*One of the Maximals in the Defense Command Center has the head of Armada Blurr.
*Ram Horn can be seen in the reflection on Tarantulas's head.
*Megatron is a repaint of Cybertron Red Alert, but here it is revealed that that body is actually a suit of armor, accounting for why the BotCon toy looks different from the pre-beast Megatron seen in "Beast Wars (Part 1)".
*The mass-retail release featured several pages of bonus material: some sketches by Marcelo Matere, and profiles for Optimus, Megatron, Cheetor, and the Maximal Command Security Force.

*Razorclaw's appearance is based on the Leobreaker toy with a new head. He also sports a new Predacon symbol. The Transformers standing behind Razorclaw seem to be based on Transmetal 2 Cheetor, Longhorn, and backstop, though artist Dan Khanna says these resemblances were not intentional. This scene was said by Pete Sinclair to take place 50-100 years after Beast Machines. He also stated that the original Rampage, Tantrum, and Headstrong died at the end of the Great War, and the guys standing behind Razorclaw are their descendants.
He carries a slingshot that shoots hurtful things; they'll hit your nose (the projectile, it stings). He has a speech pattern that's structured in rhyme, and he hangs out with Daniel most of the time.

Some think he's annoying and wish he would die. His answer to that? Here's death in your eye.
On far off Quintessa his ship it did crash. Wheelie survived, though his ship turned to ash. Though friendless and alone, Wheelie stayed alive. For Wheelie is strong and the strong must survive!

With the help of Hot Rod, Kup and the rest, Wheelie returned to Cybertron, to that he can attest. Transformers: The Movie In 2006, for all that its worth, he was charged with bringing Metroplex's transformation cog to Earth. To accomplish the task Wheelie was paired with fast-talking Blurr. Galvatron soon stranded them on Io, that villainous cur! Attacked by lipoles, things began to look grim. But then Marissa Faireborn and Sky Lynx came to rescue them! With the cog at last delivered, Metroplex came alive. He thrashed Trypticon and that Decepticon took a dive! Five Faces of Darkness

By 2010, Wheelie was too petulant to rhyme. He blamed everything on Chromedome, like, all of the time. Although a jerk to the core, Wheelie was not all alone. He hung out with Daniel and the two were quite danger-prone.

At one point, at a party he had too much to drink. He got drunk and passed out, that adorable rat-fink.

Headmasters manga
Shortly after the defeat of Mega Zarak, Soundblaster showed up and began to attack! Wheelie, unprepared, took a kick right to the face. Soundblaster got all up in his grill, saying "Bitch! Know your place!" When Slugfest and Overkill, took hostage Carly and Spike, Daniel went berserk and started to strike! Sending the Cassette dinosaurs running back home, Soundblaster was left open to an attack from Chromedome. As the Autobots left Earth, Wheelie and Daniel said "Goodbye". They huggled and they snuggled and the reader just screamed "WHY!?!"

Marvel Comics continuity
None too far did Wheelie roam - still, he called Quintesson his home. For Rodimus Prime he was quite the spy, he liked to report on what locals would try. The rescue of Wreck-Gar was his claim to fame, then Wheelie helped spoil the Quintessons' name.

Although Shockwave promised peace to one and all, Wheelie was smart and for that ruse he did not fall. He joined a team along with Gnaw, his Sharkticon pet. Together they strived to unveil Shockwave's evil threat.

Optimus Prime joined their side, but thought Gnaw was attacking and beat his hide. Wheelie thought him a brute, and in retaliation, he bit the commander's boot.

Believe it or not, just like in Japan, Wheelie did not rhyme once, much to the joys of many a fan. Passive Aggression
With Dr. Fujiyama in tow, the Autobots were quite screwed. It seems a legion of Nightbirds were in a terrible mood! With Wheelie injured thanks to a shot in the back, scar-faced Daniel realized the villains would cut them no slack. Prepared to die to stop the evil hordes, Wheelie told Daniel these few final words: "Through all our lives, I've been your friend. But now it's time for this to end."
*In the first commercial where Wheelie appears, his voice didn't sound anywhere near! Although the actor was very much the same, much deeper and darker Wheelie's voice came. Instead of the shrill rhyming 'bot we all knew, he sounded exactly like that mutt Scrappy-Doo! *Chris Ryall said Wheelie would get a spotlight on his blog. His hide the fans now wish to flog.
