The Transformers go to Camelot, even though it's a silly place.

==Detailed synopsis==

The episode starts with Warpath, Hoist battle it out with Starscream, Rumble, Ravage, and Ramjet. But the Decepticons retreat out of exhaustion sensing energy in a nearby cave. The cave transports them to the medieval times where they are greeted by knights on horses thinking they are knights of their enemy kingdom. Nearby a Princess is spying their conversation and runs to warn her father where she bumps into Spike (literally) The Decepticons agree to help the knights win the war (But Starscream obviously just wants to rule and have a land of his own). Spike agrees to enter the tournament against the two kingdoms (Rigged by Decepticons of course) but quickly fails.

Ramjet and Rumble then enter the tournament together (Rumble rides Ramjet in Vehicle form) and are defeated by Warpath and the king. Out of rage, Starscream kidnaps the princess and holds her hostage unless the king agrees to give up his kingdom. The Autobots take chase but cannot keep up due to lack of energy and collapse out of exhaustion. Starscream then holds the princess prisoner in the castle he stole from the knight that greeted him and makes a machine that gives him energy out of anything he can find (and it's slave powered!) Starscream then sends Rumble to get Potassium-Nitrate (in other word LOTS of bird crap) to make explosive gun powder out of. Spike attempts to save the princess from her keep only to find her and the knight she was previously enemies with now a happy couple. Feeling rejected, Spike still agrees to help fight the war against the Decepticons. Mean-while the Autobots and the knights of the other kingdom charge towards the castle to battle it out with the Decepticons. But the Autobots can't put up much a fight due to their dangerously low energy levels.

A wizard then appears to aide the Autobots and summons lightning that fill Warpath and Hoist with enough energy to fight. Thus they continue the battle with Starscream and are victorious. Thus they are all led back to the cave in which they entered through by the wizard only to find it guarded by a Dragon. Starscream refuses to "go any closer" and the Wizard just states that a little bit of "Dragonsbane works every time." So they throw it at the dragon and it frighten hims away and they are all able to return home. When they arrive back in the normal time era they are greeted by multiple cannon blasts by Megatron. Starscream runs and glomps him in his burst of enthusiasm. Megatron on the other hand isn't so happy to see Starscream saying he "ruined his shot" and yells in anger.

For generations, Optimus Prime ruled [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] side-by-side with [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]]. The two personalities created a balance; Prime was fair while Megatron was firm. However, when Megatron revealed his intentions to steal the [[All Spark]] and use it for evil, selfish gain, Prime reacted accordingly. He built a militia from the civilians around him, but they faired terribly against Megatron's armies. Ultimately, Prime was forced to eject the All Spark into space to keep it from his nemesis.

Thus the focus of the war between Autobot and Decepticon shifted. The All Spark's ejection was only a stall. Optimus Prime lead the search for the All Spark in the ''[[Ark (Movie)|Ark]]'', a transport vessel. When they came across an abandoned solar system, they located [[Ghost One|a vessel]] of strangely Cybertronian design, and of Decepticon make. When the vessel fled to the surface of a planet, Prime dispatched Bumblebee to investigate, while he and the Autobots battled the Decepticons from the ''[[Nemesis (Movie)|Nemesis]]''. After losing touch with Bumblebee, Prime went down to locate him, where they were attacked by [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]] and the alien ship. They fell into a cavern network, where they were further attacked by [[sandworm|indigenous worms]].

Coming across the alien vessel, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee communicated with its crew. Optimus explained that they came in peace, "freedom is the right of all sentient beings", Starscream tricks everyone, and so on. However, the creatures, who called themselves "[[human]]s", explained that they held Megatron, who they called the Ice Man, on their homeworld, [[Earth]]. Realizing the destruction Megatron would wreak upon the humans if he escaped, and that the humans would be unable to effectively defend themselves, Prime vowed to see them return to their world to warn it. In the ensuing battle with the Decepticons, the humans saved Prime's life by attacking Starscream, who destroyed them. Optimus Prime was inspired by their courage and sacrifice, and resolved to locate Earth before the Decepticons did—and hopefully before Megatron came back online.

The leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime came to Earth shortly after [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]] sent his comrades a beacon. Upon atmospheric reentry, Prime managed to land outside of [[Tranquility]]'s inhabited areas. After scanning the form of an Earth truck and reconfiguring his body to transform into it, Prime, [[Jazz (Movie)|Jazz]], [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]], and [[Ironhide (Movie)|Ironhide]] met up with Bumblebee and his human friends, [[Sam Witwicky]] and [[Mikaela Banes]] in an alley. In one of the most extended Transformations in the multiverse, Prime assumed his robotic form before the stunned humans, he introduced himself, his team, and why Sam was important to their search for the [[All Spark]].

Glasses that belonged to Sam's ancestor, [[Archibald Amundsen Witwicky|Captain Archibald Witwicky]], contain the location of the All Spark encoded across its lenses, so Optimus Prime ordered his troops to wait outside Sam's house while Sam and Mikaela searched inside for the glasses. Much to Sam's exasperation, Optimus Prime, in his impatience, clumsily ruined his parents' garden, and the Autobots' heavy footsteps convinced them there was an earthquake. Prime's attempts to hide, such as having the Autobots transform into vehicle mode, were also less than satisfactory. Ultimately, Prime was forced to oder the Autobots to fall back, but Ratchet got himself shocked in the process. When [[Ron Witwicky|the]] [[Judy Witwicky|parents]] came to investigate, Prime's attempt to avoid discovery caused the house to shake. Ironhide suggested that they kill the parents, but Optimus scolded his old friend. Despite all this, their presence remained undetected until [[Sector Seven]] arrived (in a convoy of GMC Yukon's) and abducted Sam, Mikaela, and Sam's parents.

Optimus Prime sent the Autobots in pursuit of the SUV that contained Sam, Mikaela, and Sector Seven's director, [[Reggie Simmons|Agent Simmons]]. Prime intercepted the vehicle carrying their young human friends, ripping the roof of the vehicle off, with the other Autobots disarming the agents, and Optimus attempted to interrogate Simmons. The agents lack of surprise at their appearance indicated that they had seen Cybertronians before, but Simmons refused to reveal any information. With a Sector Seven backup team en route, Prime ordered the Autobots to scatter, while he took Sam and Mikaela. While hiding under a bridge, Mikaela and Sam slipped and fell off Prime's shoulder. Bumblebee managed to catch them before impact, but was captured, and Sam and Mikaela recaptured, by the organization after their retreat.

Optimus Prime, now in possession of the glasses which can tell him the location of the All Spark, regrettably leaves Bumblebee in Sector Seven's hands, knowing that if they went after him, they would have to use deadly force. After regrouping the next day, Prime used the glasses to locate the All Spark. Jazz raised objections to leaving Bumblebee behind, but Prime remained firm in his belief of not harming the humans. Ironhide seemed okay with using deadly force, stating the humans were too violent, but Prime remind him of the Cybertronians [[Cybertronian Civil Wars|own violent history]]. Going to explain the potential he saw in the humans, as well as reminding them that "freedom is the right of all sentient beings", Prime revealed to the Autobots his real plan for the All Spark: if they could not defeat the Decepticons, Prime intended to merge the Cube with his [[spark]]. Though this would destroy the All Spark, Ratchet cautioned Prime against this, as it would also kill him, but Prime had made his decision. The glasses placed the All Spark at [[Hoover Dam]] where, luckily, Bumblebee and the young humans were taken.

Optimus Prime's team met up with Sector Seven, Bumblebee, Sam, and Mikaela en route, who had planned to hide the All Spark in nearby [[Mission City]]. While on the highway, he was attacked by [[Bonecrusher (Movie)|Bonecrusher]], who managed to tackle Optimus and drag him over the edge of a freeway overpass. During the battle, Optimus struck the hate filled Transformer so hard his [[optic]] popped out. As the Decepticon swung his claw wildly, Optimus drew his sword from his right arm and sliced off one of Bonecrusher's arms, before brutally finishing off his enemy by driving the blade through Bonecrusher's neck, severing his head.

Optimus arrived at Mission City just in time to observe Megatron discarding the remains of [[Jazz (Movie)|Jazz]]. Millennia in the ice had done nothing to lessen Megatron's hatred of his brother, and he launch himself in jet mode at the Autobot leader. Optimus leaped and grabbed hold of the wings, which was a really bad idea as Megatron drove himself and Prime through an office block. As the flew out of the building on the street below, Megatron Transformed and lept on top of Prime, declaring the humans undeserving of life. Prime rejected his claims, saying that they deserved to chose for themsleves. Megatron threw Prime across the street, declaring that hhe wished to defend the humans, Prime could die with them, forming his [[fusion cannon]]. The power up time allowed Prime draw his [[ion blaster]], hitting Megatron, but the Decepticon used the momentum to spin around, then use the fusion cannon to blast Prime across the street into another building, allowing Megatron to resume the hunt for Sam.

Tracking Megatron to the deserted building, Prime barely managed to grab Sam after Megatron knocked him off. Telling the boy to hold onto the Cube, Prime attempted to scale down the building, but Megatron jumped on Prime, causing them both to fall down hard onto the street below. Sam survived, however, and Optimus told the boy that if he could not defeat Megatron, Sam must put the All Spark into his chest which would destroy it. As Sam sought cover, Optimus faced down Megatron, and informed him that "at the end of this day, one shall stand, one shall fall". Unfortunately, Megatron, even after years of stasis, proved to be far too powerful for Prime to defeat alone. The unit led by Lennox and the Raptor squadron laid down suppressing fire as Megatron reached for the All Spark, until Optimus finally took him down by sweeping his legs. Still, Megatron continued, crawling toward the cube. Believing he had lost, Optimus implored to Sam to put the All Spark into his chest. Sam instead thrust it into Megatron's chest, eventually killing the Decepticon leader and destroying the All Spark.

As Optimus watched his brother die, he regretfully said there was little other choice. He also told Sam he owed him a debt of gratitude for saving his life, but was then informed that Jazz had not survived. Prime briefly eulogized his comrade, then commented that they had gained new comrades in the humans, and was honored by their bravery. Bumblebee, who had finally regained his voice, requested permission to remain with Sam Witwicky, to which the young human eagerly agreed, and Optimus approved. He noticed a fragment of the All Spark in Megatron's chest cavity and removed it, then permitted the humans to dispose of the Decepticon corpses by dumping them into the deepest part of the ocean.

Though Megatron was killed and his Decepticons were defeated, the All Spark was destroyed, leaving the Autobots unable to restore Cybertron. The Autobots elected to remain on Earth, and Prime sent a message to any surviving Autobots in the Galaxy to come to their new home on Earth, the search having finally having come to an end. As the other Autobots rested (and watched Sam and Mikaela make out) Optimus Prime looked to the sky, hoping his message had been heard.

Optimus Prime provides intelligence and missions to Bumblebee in his search for the All Spark. Eventually, the clues lead the Autobot to Sam Witwicky. After saving Sam from Barricade, Bumblebee finally completes preparations for the Autobots to arrive on Earth.

Once on Earth, and having informed the two teenagers of their mission, Prime and the Autobots are discovered by Sector 7. Optimus sends Jazz on a high-speed <strike>destruction</strike> distraction mission, then sends Ironhide to rescue Jazz from a double-threat posed by the government agents and various Decepticon scouts.

When Bumblebee is captured, Prime transforms and chases the chopper which from which the small Autobot is tied. After a lengthy chase, Prime manages to catch the net, only to be thrown off by another Cybertronian meteor. As Bumblebee is carried away, Optimus promises he will not fail him again. Jazz informs him that the meteor is not an Autobot. Prime confronts the new threat, who turns out to be the Decepticon triplechanger [[Shockwave (Movie)|Shockwave]]. The two battle it out across [[Tranquility]] before Optimus finally destroys him. But not without overhearing [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]]'s transmission revealing the location of the All Spark.

Optimus then returned to an intel role as he guided Bumblebee in his mission to retrieve the All Spark from Hoover dam. Unfortunately, the Decepticons manage to free Megatron, leading to the final battle in Mission City.

As the Autobots battle it out with the Decepticons to protect Sam and the All Spark, things seem to take a turn for the worst as Megatron finally arrives. But before he can claim the cube, Optimus attacks him.

The two battle it out until Megatron is finally on the ground, seemingly devoid of life. Optimus then kneels to take the All Spark from Sam. Megatron however awakens, leaping at Optimus with his chain-flail out. Optimus grips the chain, pulling Megatron in closer, and with the All Spark clutched in his fist, delivers a punch through Megatron's spark. As Megatron dies, Optimus reflects on the losses and rewards of this battle, as the Autobots have a new home. Optimus plans to guard the humans in secret, "For freedom is the right of all sentient beings."

Note: If played in Decepticon mode, Optimus is beaten to the ground, and as he crawls for the All Spark, Megatron smashes his head with his flail before using the cube to destroy humanity.

:Based upon the 'Protoform' (Cybertronian) appearances of the Transformers in the Movie, Protoform Optimus Prime transforms into his 'Entry' mode cybertronic comet thing. This mode somewhat resembles a cybertronic truck, with false wheels sculpted onto the sides, and Optimus Prime's trademark windows in front. A flame decoration piece fits to the back of the 'vehicle', creating the illusion of a flaming comet's tail. The bottom of the vehicle has small wheels to roll the toy across smooth surfaces. Oddly, it has NO [[automorph]] gimmick at all, a feature most main-line figures have.

:In robot mode he resembles previous Optimus characters - his angular chest windows are reminiscent of ''[[Cybertron (franchise)|Cybertron]]'' [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]], while his near animalistic limbs and color scheme are evocative of ''[[Beast Wars]]'' [[Optimus Primal]]. He has excellent articulation due to his many ball joints, and is armed with a rifle. The flame attachment can fit onto the end of the (non-firing) gun barrel.

:Some packaging variants of this figure (perhaps a Wal-Mart exclusive) included a free movie poster depicting a Cybertronian eye overlooking Earth. While an added sticker to the outer plastic bubble says "Exclusive movie poster!", it is more of a preview of upcoming figures.

: The largest ''Movie'' Optimus Prime toy, Leader Class Optimus Prime features the most accurate representation yet of the CGI designs' complex transformation sequence, the only difference being the arms which are placed behind the cab while they constitute the hood in the CGI model. He transforms into a heavily-customized [http://www.peterbilt.com/index_gal_mod_desc.asp?model=model379 Peterbilt 379] conventional extended-hood truck, and unusual for a mainline figure, he has rubber tires on all his wheels. His Ion Blaster weapon is stored in the rear of the truck's bunk, exposed like an engine block. Though Optimus has no trailer, he has hole where the fifth wheel (known among fans as a 'hitch') is sculpted in the rear of the truck, should owners find a suitable trailer to use. : Featuring a complex transformation, essentially the front and back ends of the truck fold and converge to become Optimus Prime's legs, as much of the truck rear is connected to the robot thighs via a series of folding panels. The rear wheel cowlings feature a hinge joint in the middle of them so they do not impede his knee articulation. The rear cabin of the cab, directly connected to the smokestacks, rotate and connect to his torso and unfold into his arms. As with most mainline Movie toys, Optimus Prime features [[Automorph]] gimmicks, and due to his pricepoint has three of them. Firstly, during initial transformation, rotating his front fenders to become his heels flips the top parts of the grill to become his toes. Secondly, sliding out the the double-barrel cannon in his right forearm flips out his spring-loaded Ion Blaster, which lands into place for his right hand. (The Ion Blaster can actually be popped off his forearm fairly easily, held in place by a simple clip.) Optimus' final Automorph, located in his torso, is activated by flipping the silver lever on his stomach activating a series of spring-loaded actions where they push the truck windows part, raises the lever between them and allows the head to spring up from the chest cavity. At this point yellow LEDs light up the chest windows and Optimus Prime's eyes, accompanied by a 'powering up' sound effect.

: Optimus Prime has a wide range of articulation for a relatively bulky figure. He has ratcheting joints in his shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, with swivel joints and ball joints supporting them in his biceps, lower knee joints and ankles. Again, unusually for a mainline figure, especially at the Leader pricepoint, his hands have individually articulated fingers and thumbs.

At a laboratory, [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] and the [[Autobot]]s are being shown a new drone fighter by a professor. However, [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] is out to steal the fighter's blueprints from the laboratory. [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]] and [[Ravage]], who are inside [[Ironhide (G1)|Ironhide]], provide a distraction, while [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]] destroys the drone. Prime orders the Autobots to inspect the wreckage for any clues, while the [[Decepticon]]s attack the lab, but the Autobots arrive and are able to send them packing.

Meanwhile, [[Spike Witwicky]], [[Carly]], and [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]] go to pick [[Sparkplug Witwicky|Sparkplug]] up at the airport. While there, they discover that the Decepticons have a base there. Contacting the [[Ark (G1)|Autobot base]], [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]] sends the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobot]]s to assist. The Dinobots quickly trash the Decepticons. however, Megatron orders the Decepticons to blast the planes, causing a massive explosion that damages the Dinobots and allows the Decepticons to retreat. [[Hoist (G1)|Hoist]], [[Red Alert (G1)|Red Alert]], and [[Inferno (G1)|Inferno]] arrive to put out the fires and take the Dinobots back to base. [[Ratchet (G1)|Ratchet]] and Wheeljack begin repairs on the Dinobots, while the other Autobots rebuild the airport.

While flying, Ravage ejects from Soundwave, cause unknown. Soon, however, the Decepticons fall from the sky, and [[Rumble (G1)|Rumble]] begins attacking Megatron, though he doesn't know why. Megatron conlcudes that they are suffering from bad [[Energon]], and decide to get some new [[Energon cube|cube]]s from a powerplant to refuel themselves. At the Autobot base, the Dinobots are repaired, and Prime, still rebuilding the airport, tries to send them to stop the Decepticons. [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] angrilly refuses, saying he's tired of tasking Prime's orders and saving the Autobots whenever they need help. The Dinobots leave the base, intending to fight whenever on their terms. The Autobots arrive to stop the Decepticons, but they too begin to suffer from malfunctions. After an indecisive battle, Megatron orders the Decepticons to retreat.

Back at the base, the Autobots are suffering power failures now. [[Perceptor (G1)|Perceptor]] concludes that they are suffering from [[Cybertonium]] depletion. However, Cybertonium only exists on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. Fortunately, [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] is sending a shipment over the [[space bridge]], but the Autobots are in no condition to retrieve it themselves. Sparkplug, Spike, and Carly decide to track down the Dinobots. Grimlock is less than pleased to have been followed, and decides to crush the humans. [[Swoop (G1)|Swoop]], however, saves the humans because he wants to hear what they have to say. Sparkplug explains the situation, but Grimlock doesn't care. However, when Spike mentions Cybertonium, Grimlock realizes the Cybertron connection, and decides to help. The Dinobots attack the [[Constructicon]]s, who are retrieving the Cybertonium, but the Dinobots simply get into the space bridge and head for Cybertron. Shockwave attempts to stop them. Guess what happens.

At the Autobot base, Sparkplug contacts Grimlock, who refuses to return and help the "bossy Autobots". Carly resolves that she and Spike must head for Cybertron themselves. Prime attempts to stop them, but finally succumbs to the effects Cybertronium depletion. Sparkplug stays to man [[Teletraan I]] to help the kids. Spike and Carly manage to drive past [[Devastator]] using Carly's car, but Shockwave is on waiting for the two humans.

Having had the [[Autobot]]s exiled from Earth, Megatron reveals the [[Decepticon]]s true intentions.

==Detailed synopsis==

The episode recaps with [[Victor Caroli]] going over a recap of the events of [[Megatron's Master Plan, Part 1|Part 1]]. Onto the start.

The episode begins with a marching band parading through the streets of [[Central City]]. Berger announces that today is [[Decepticon Day]]. Sparkplug and Chip immensely dislike the event. Chip says that its too late for Spike to be searching for evidence to clear the Autobots names right now.

Back in a tape room, Spike finishes watching another tape showing the Decepticons as the real culprits behind it. He's about to leave when he meets Ravage. During a brief fight, in which Ravage slams into a TV screen, gets fried, smacked with an office chair, and then finally gets buried under a shelf of video tapes (poor kitty), Spike makes his escape.

At a nearby high school disco, Soundwave makes an appearance. We see Rumble dancing as well, as Ravage gets petted by some school girls, and Laserbeak giving a real evil glare to a kid who's offering him a cracker (probably wants to eat the kid).

In deep space, Cosmos is leading the rocket ship through space. Inside, Ironhide and Cliffjumper persuade Prime to turn round and head back to Earth. After the ship doesn't respond to Cliffjumper's computing, Hound uses his shoulder scanner to pinpoint their destination...The [[Sun|SUN]]!. Cosmos is unable to link up with Teletraan I as the rocket starts to overheat...along with the Autobots inside. Cosmos comes aboard and starts working at the computer, but to no avail.

Inside the [[Decepticon space cruiser|Decepticon base]], Megatron looks with glee as he watches the Autobots and their ship collide with the sun and explode. They then leave for a press conference.

Spike is with the mayor in his office and he shows the Mayor the tapes he's found. The mayor can't bring back the Autobots, but now armed with the right evidence, Spike and the mayor start a campaign to clear the Autobots names.

At the press conference, Megatron reveals that he plans to conquer the planet and suck it dry of energy. He is now the marshal of Megatronia 1, the newly christened Central City, and everyone will be made slaves to obtain energy for the Decepticons. On a nearby screen, we see the [[Conehead]]s running amok through Central City. Spike learns of the Autobot's destruction and escapes, but the tape of evidence is destroyed. Berger saves Spike from getting killed by Laserbeak, but their escape is short lived as they're all captured by Megatron.

Back in space, the Autobots have been saved by Trailbreaker's [[force field]]. They're still attached to Cosmos, who's still heading towards the sun, since his actions are still controlled by Teltraan I.

Back on earth, things are grim. All the humans have been enslaved by the Decepticons and they're being forced to mine energy from every available source. Berger got his reward...he too is cuffed and made to work in a power plant. One night, Chip breaks out of the power plant and sneaks onboard a nearby truck. He heads for the [[Ark (G1)|Autobot base]] and works at Teletraan I. He finds out that the Autobot rocket was destroyed. He's about to find out more when Thrust breaks into the base. Thrust destroys Teletraan I and takes Chip back to the plant.

Cosmos then realises he's got control back and heads back to Earth. Back on Earth, an air force rescue attempt is easily destroyed by the [[Seeker]]s and Blitzwing. Megatron has the humans cornered, when the Autobots arrive. Optimus Prime assembles the entire 84 and 85 line to combat the Decepticons and they win, heavily damaging many, including the Insecticons and Constructicons. The Decepticons retreat because they've lost the advantage

The Mayor pardons the Autobots, while Berger is taken by the authorities to face justice himself. With the Decepticons defeated, the Autobots transform and roll for home.

One of [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]]'s signature weapons, the '''null-ray''' is capable of stopping any electrical device with one shot, be it human or [[Transformer]].

Except [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]]. All a blast from the null-ray does is make him angry. It doesn't work on the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobot]]s either, but they were already pissed at Screamer.

After causing a tidal wave at [[Sherman Dam]], Megatron ordered Starscream to shoot three of the generators with blasts from the null-ray as part of their efforts to make [[Energon cube]]s. As Cybertron arrives, storms and earthquakes begin in ernest. The Autobots try to fight the Decepticons, but [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]] causes a distortion wave, causing [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] to order a retreat. [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]] berrates [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] for allowing the Autobots to escape, but Megatron brushes off the criticism...with a mere choke of Starscream's throat. [[Doctor Arkeville]] notices that the disruption wave interferes with the [[hypnochip]]'s control signal, and works to correct it, but will need more "materials" ([[human]]) to modify the chips. [[Laserbeak (G1)|Laserbeak]] is dispatched to find more.

Heading back to base under severe weather conditions, [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]] and [[Spike Witwicky|Spike]] get separated from the group. Spike is still in a bit of a funk over [[Sparkplug Witwicky|his dad]] working with the Decepticons. An earthquake causes a fissure in the groun, which Bumblebee falls into, while Laserbeak arrives and takes Spike. [[Hound (G1)|Hound]], [[Bluestreak]], and [[Windcharger]] arrive, rescuing Bumblebee and Spike. Returning to the [[Ark (G1)|Autobot base]], the Autobots send the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobot]]s to try and prevent as much destruction as possible.

Doctor Arkeville is displeased, as they are using humans as shields against Autobot aggression. At the Autobot base, [[Mount St. Hilary|the volcano]] becomes active. [[Ironhide (G1)|Ironhide]] manages to cover the lava with an avalance. Meanwhile, Prime learns that Sparkplug was taken to Cybertron during Energon shipments. Spike overhears it, and asks to go to Cybertron. [[Jetfire (G1)|Skyfire]], [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]], [[Brawn]], [[Trailbreaker]], and Bumblebee head to Cybertron, where they try to find any information on the humans. The Autobots detect the Decepticon activity and set off after them. After a short battle the Autobots are trapped in quicksand. Ironhide freezes the quicksand with his liquid nitrogen allowing them to escape. Laserbeak who was standing guard over them is captured and the Autobots learn that the Decepticons are heading for the Doctor's secret laboratory and they set off to follow them.

The Autobots arrive at the laboratory and battle each other again. Unaware of the danger it represents, Megatron covets the exponential generator and fights Optimus Prime for its possession. During the fight Megatron receives a communication from Shockwave on Cybertron.

Shockwave, unwilling to serve Starscream, warns Megatron about the timer and Starscream's plan. Megatron rips the timer from the wall just in time. On Cybertron, Starscream is baffled that the Earth has not exploded and sets off back to check the timer.

==Summary==
A busy construction site is attacked by driverless construction equipment, and several components are stolen. The construction vehicles return to Decepticon headquarters and are revealed to be the newly built Constructicons. The components they stole are parts to a machine that will allow Megatron to absorb the [[power chip rectifier]]s from his [[Decepticon]] warriors.

While the final preparations are completed on the machine, Megatron flies to [[Autobot]] headquarters and makes Optimus Prime an offer he can’t refuse. Megatron offers Prime a one on one battle with the winner staying on [[Earth]] to do as he pleases, and the loser taking his army and exiling themselves to deep space. Prime, confident in his own abilities, accepts the challenge and sets the match.

Knowing that Prime would be unable to resist a chance to honorably end their conflict, Megatron returns to the Decepticon base and uses the newly completed machine to gain all of the special powers of his warriors. [[Skywarp (G1)|Skywarp]]’s teleportation, [[Thundercracker (G1)|Thundercracker]]’s sonic boom, [[Rumble (G1)|Rumble]]’s seismic attack, etc. Knowing that Megatron would now be unbeatable, Starscream voices concerns that the Autobot computer [[Teletraan I]] would be able to detect what Megatron had done. Anticipating this problem, Megatron dispatches the Constructicons to take care of the computer.

The two armies arrive at the battle site, and the contest begins. Megatron unleashes a barrage of powers, (while Starscream gives a running commentary) and Prime is outclassed at every step. Not knowing that he has been deceived, Prime concedes the fight and comments that he underestimated Megatron. The shocked Autobots begin the trek back to base, and the Decepticons follow to make sure they leave.

Meanwhile, the Constructicons have nearly tunneled their way into the [[Ark]] and Teletraan-I. Teletraan-I, sensing the imminent danger, activates the Dinobots. The Dinobots respond and start pounding on the Constructicons opening up a lava channel in the process. The battle not going in their favor, the Constructicons pull out one last trick and combine into the super warrior, [[Devastator (G1)|Devastator]]. A busy construction site is attacked by driverless construction equipment, and several components are stolen. The construction vehicles return to Decepticon headquarters and are revealed to be the newly built Constructicons. The components they stole are parts to a machine that will allow Megatron to absorb the [[power chip rectifier]]s from his [[Decepticon]] warriors.

While the final preparations are completed on the machine, Megatron flies to [[Autobot]] headquarters and makes Optimus Prime an offer he can’t refuse. Megatron offers Prime a one on one battle with the winner staying on [[Earth]] to do as he pleases, and the loser taking his army and exiling themselves to deep space. Prime, confident in his own abilities, accepts the challenge and sets the match.

Knowing that Prime would be unable to resist a chance to honorably end their conflict, Megatron returns to the Decepticon base and uses the newly completed machine to gain all of the special powers of his warriors. [[Skywarp (G1)|Skywarp]]’s teleportation, [[Thundercracker (G1)|Thundercracker]]’s sonic boom, [[Rumble (G1)|Rumble]]’s seismic attack, etc. Knowing that Megatron would now be unbeatable, Starscream voices concerns that the Autobot computer [[Teletraan I]] would be able to detect what Megatron had done. Anticipating this problem, Megatron dispatches the Constructicons to take care of the computer.

The two armies arrive at the battle site, and the contest begins. Megatron unleashes a barrage of powers, (while Starscream gives a running commentary) and Prime is outclassed at every step. Not knowing that he has been deceived, Prime concedes the fight and comments that he underestimated Megatron. The shocked Autobots begin the trek back to base, and the Decepticons follow to make sure they leave.

Meanwhile, the Constructicons have nearly tunneled their way into the [[Ark]] and Teletraan-I. Teletraan-I, sensing the imminent danger, activates the Dinobots. The Dinobots respond and start pounding on the Constructicons opening up a lava channel in the process. The battle not going in their favor, the Constructicons pull out one last trick and combine into the super warrior, [[Devastator (G1)|Devastator]]. After having his logic circuits damaged in battle, [[Red Alert (G1)|Red Alert]] feels rejected by the [[Autobots]] and allies himself with [[Starscream]].

==Detailed Synopsis==
After the [[Autobots]] test a new super-weapon, called the [[Negavator]], they are attacked by [[Soundwave]] and the [[cassettes]] who attempt to steal it for the [[Decepticons]]. At the end of the battle [[Red Alert (G1)|Red Alert]] is injured when [[Rumble]] fires a rocket into the control room where he was operating the Negavator by remote control. However, Red Alert's injuries go deeper than the surface. His logic chips have been affected, and he begins to feel as though everyone is against him to the point that he runs away, following another attempt by Megatron and the jets to steal the Negavator.

After the second attack, [[Starscream]] is abandoned by Megatron. To get back at him, Starscream seeks an alliance with Red Alert, figuring he can use him to steal the Autobot's new Negavator for himself.

On the run from the [[Decepticons]], [[Octane]] seeks asylum on [[Cybertron]]. While in a [[Decepticon Crypt|hidden tomb]] to fallen Decepticons, he encounters the ghost of [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]], who is still scheming in death.

==Summary==

Exiled from the Decepticons, the former Decepticon [[Octane]] now makes a living freighting scrap metal from planet [[Junkion]] for the Autobots. However, his past catches up to him when a vengeful Galvatron hires a alien bounty hunter, the [[Skuxxoid]], to assassinate Octane. Just after he leaves Junk, Octane's cargo ship is destroyed by a bomb planted by his would-be assassin. Fortunately Octane is merely blown away from the explosion and is rescued by a passing transport ship.

Enraged by this failure, Galvatron dispatches the Combaticons to track and eliminate the exile. Fearing for his life, Octane takes refuge with the Autobots on [[Earth]] and seeks the advice of his friend [[Sandstorm (Autobot)|Sandstorm]], who at first doesn't believe him. When they are ambushed and the Combaticons concentrate on Octane while leaving Sandstorm alone, however, the Autobot is convinced and the pair escape Earth in an Autobot shuttle.

The two triple-changers stop and refuel at a neutral alien space station, and use the time to discuss the situation at the adjoining diner. Octane shows off to Sandstorm, juggling energon cubes and doing other tricks (possibly in a vain attempted to get to second base with Sandstorm on the first date). The Skuxxoid has managed to track and is foiled in several attempts to do away with the wanted ex-Decepticon - partly due to incompetence, partly due to interference. Finally, the Skuxxoid caves in and attempts to attack Octane by tackling the back of the transformer's head. Octane grabs the alien and demands to know who hired him. When the Skuxxoid says he was hired by [[Galvatron]], Octane decides to go deeper into hiding.

He is followed to [[Cybertron]] by [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]], [[Scourge (G1)|Scourge]], and the [[Sweeps]]. When the attacking Decepticons pin him down, he seeks shelter in what appears to be a large drainage pipe, but turns out to be the secret entrance to a [[Decepticon Crypt]]. While there, he encounters the ghost of [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]], who conspires with Octane to take control of Cyclonus. Sucessful, Starscream then proceeds to "capture" the runaway Octane. However, they are pursued by the Autobots, intent on protecting Octane. Starscream somehow manages to convince [[Rodimus Prime]] to let them go, to the confusion of the other Autobots.

When "Cyclonus" brings the cowering Octane back to [[Charr]], Galvatron is initially furious that the exile was not destroyed. "Cyclonus" convinces Galvatron that the 'traitor' should be interrogated for any information he might know. At a faux display of torture, "Cyclonus" further convinces Galvatron that he has forced an Autobot secret out of Octane. The trio travel to a pre-arranged location earlier agreed to by Rodimus Prime and Starscream, trapping Galvatron in an ambush with many Autobots.

The ambush fails, however, and when Galvatron returns to see "Cyclonus" and Octane discussing his apparent demise, Starscream can't resist gloating, revealing his presence to the Decepticon leader, who proceeds to blast a hole into the posessed Cyclonus' torso. Starscream de-possesses Cyclonus the moment before the blast hits.

As Galvatron orders Cyclonus repaired to top working order, the obedient Scourge is revealed to be Starscream's new host body.

* When Galvatron is speaking in the opening sequence of the episode, only his throne is seen, the character is missing.
* While Octane is walking with Sandstorm outside Autobot City, he trips and falls over a rock. The rock actually jumps in front of Octane's foot causing him to fall down. Can't this guy catch a break?

* After Octane gets up and the pair begin to walk again, the background is of deep space, even though they are on Earth.

* When Octane and Sandstorm transform and go off joyriding, for some reason Sandstorm constantly emits exhaust fumes.

* None of the Combaticon lasers sound like traditional Decepticon laser weapons. This will be a common occurance in Season 3, where the Decepticons regularly have old science fiction stock sound effects for their weapons. In fact, when Cyclonus fires upon Sandstorm, his laser sound is the same sound effect when C-3PO is destroyed by Stormtroopers in The Empire Strikes Back.

* Autobot City's wall is very, very low, low enough for Octane and Sandstorm to merely jump over when the Combaticons fire upon them.

* As Octane stuffs his face with 'energon', he makes repeated 'gulping' sound effects.

* When the Decepticons attack Octane on Cybertron, some of the laser fire coming towards Octane is coloured gold, like Autobot lasers.

* The 'energon' served on board the alien space station/space trucker rest stop is drawn and coloured as small orange wedges, rather than the traditional glowing purple cubes.

* The Skuxxoid's laser pistol has a sight as he arms it, but is sightless when he aims it at Octane. The sight reappears in subsequent shots.

* It is unclear what happened after Starscream and Octane deliver Galvatron into Rodimus Prime's trap. Galvatron is surrounded and vastly outnumbered by the Autobots, but appears to escape by the end of the episode, albiet heavily damaged.

Following yet another defeat at the hands of the Autobots, mostly due to Galvatron opening fire on his fellow Decepticons, the beaten and abused Decepticon forces issue Cyclonus an ultimatum: "Do something about Galvatron or we'll do something about the both of you!" A holographic image of a Quintesson appears and suggests that there are ways to cure Galvatron of his madness, and planets which specialize in repairing damaged minds, such as Torkulon. Cyclonus lies to Galvatron, informing him that the Autobots are resting after their most recent skirmish on Torkulon. Meanwhile the Quintessons gloat behind the scenes that shortly they will have several less Transformers to deal with including the Decepticon leader they view as the "most unpredictable of them all."

Upon landing, Galvatron threatens several alien flesh creatures, demanding them to hand over Ultra Magnus - the Torkulons arrive and restrain Galvatron, who then realizes Cyclonus lied to him about the presence of the Autobots, and Galvatron is carried away to begin his therapy, which Cyclonus believes will cure him. Scourge, however, is reluctant and feels this therapy is stupid, wishing only to get off the therapy planet.

The Torkulons are unsuccessful in getting Galvatron to talk about his problems, and even less successful when they have him put together external objects to repair his damaged psyche, resulting in Galvatron creating a blaster and trying to escape. Finally they attempt "exo-drama" where patients act out their problems but a bouncing alien screaming at Galvatron finally causes him to snap further, to which he says he will give them something to "scream about." Galvatron becomes immune to the electromagnetic restraints of the Torkulons, who throw everything they have at Galvatron, restraining him for their last resort - the Alia solution, in which it's revealed Torkulon itself is a living planet that feeds off of the madness of those who cannot be helped, in effect lobotomizing the planet's victims and leaving them mindless. Cyclonus and Scourge are also restrained by the Torkulons.

The Alia begin to feed on Galvatron who continues to resist, with an allusion to his past life as Megatron when he yells "You have no right to change what I am!," to which the Torkulon doctor informs him "You've already been changed; that's the problem." Crying by Cyclonus ensues as he watches his leader's mind become consumed by Torkulon, however something goes wrong. The madness of Galvatron proves to be too strong for the living planet, causing it to malfunction. In the chaos, Galvatron, Scourge and Cyclonus are released from the planet's grasp. After taking a few shots at Cyclonus for getting him in this mess, Galvatron journeys to the center of the planet, having seen into it's mind while it was inside his. The planet fears Galvatron's madness and destructive potential but ultimately is unable to stop Galvatron from reaching it's living-computer core and firing at it in his laser cannon mode, rendering the entire planet inoperable. Galvatron informs Cyclonus he will now destroy whatever is left, and warns Cyclonus against stopping him. As the planet is reduced to smoke and rubble, Galvatron gloats over the beauty of "devastation wraught with precision and care," seemingly just a little more sane... until Cyclonus informs Galvatron the Torkulons will spend centuries rebuilding. Galvatron decides his work isn't done if it's going to take "only centuries" to rebuild, but upon Cyclonus mentioning the Autobots smiles at the prospect of killing Ultra Magnus and the Decepticons flee the planet, leaving the Torkulons at the mercy of their former insane patients.

*Some allusion is made to Galvatron's former life as Megatron. While the Torkulons attempt to lobotomize the Decepticon leader, he states that they have "no right" to change what he is, to which the Torkulon Doctor replies "You have already been changed, that's the problem." On the other hand, this could also be taken to mean the plasma damage that changed him from his saner personality as seen in the movie.

*Large portions of the episode, especially the therapy sessions, seemed to parody real psychological treatment methods such as word association and dramatherapy. The intentions of the Alia to consume Galvatron's mind could also be taken as a reference to a lobotomy, a process that can "cure" certain mental illnesses but removes significant parts of the patient's personality.

The President flew to the Pentagon, where he was greeted by Defense Minister [[Dawson]]. Dawson briefed him on the [[Decepticon]] assault on [[San Francisco]], and suggested an air strike. But before a military solution could be devised, Dawson was informed that a nuclear launch had been authorized (by General [[Robert Hallo]], unbeknownst to either man). The President tried to abort the launch, to no avail. During this crisis, he displayed a level of concern that could only be adequately portrayed by [[Pat Lee|Pat Lee's]] unique command of [[Dull surprise|facial expressions]].

=====The Vice-President=====
The Vice-President is the President's attack dog. He goes to pick up [[Allister Greaves]] in person after his spy in the Executive office is revealed.

Greaves isn't much impressed by the Vice-President, he has too many skeletons in his closet. Greaves threatens to release documentation of the Vice-President's tryst with a minor girl in Topeka to the media. The Vice-President dis-involves himself from further direct contact with Greaves.

John is the Secretary of State. He is one of the President's confidantes in his plan to kidnap General Michelle Grajkowski and frame her for the attack on the Autobots.

=====Bill=====
Bill is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He, along with John, are the President's confidantes in his plan to frame General Michelle Grajkowski.

=====Elisa=====
Elisa is the President of the United State's secretary. She speaks several languages, and always answers the phone with a different accent. A member of the [[Followers]], she sectetly gives [[Edmund Greaves]] information about goings-on in the Executive Office.

When Greaves requested information about [[Keepers|the Keepers]], Elisa promised to send him a synopsis of the upcoming cabinet meeting about them, and then requested Greaves try to remove the Followers agents from Las Vegas, which she felt had become too dangerous. He agreed to try.

The President became aware of Elisa's 'second job,' and when she called Greaves to warn him that the attack on Las Vegas had been pushed up, she was killed. A CIA agent informed Greaves the President very much wanted to speak with him, and a car was being sent.

Elisa's death shook Greaves badly, and was one of his prime motivations to go public with the Followers.

''Elisa is probably the source of at least some of the blackmail material Greaves has on the President and the Vice President.''

Susan replaced Elisa as the President of the United State's secretary. An unattractive woman with a tough-as-nails attitude, she takes her job as the President's gatekeeper very seriously, once refusing to let the [[Dawson|Secretary of State]] through because he hadn't phoned ahead for an appointment.

''Susan may be based on the character Deborah Fiderer from the TV show The West Wing.

Yes, she is a girl.

The President was never named, but she knew about the Transformers during [[Colonel Franklin]]'s investigation of them. Once when [[Six-Speed]] was pulled over by the police, he used a hologram of the President to disguise his lack of a driver. Naturally, seeing the leader of the free world at the wheel of a tiny green race car totally freaked the cops out, and the [[Mini-Con]] was able to drive off in the confusion.

The President seems almost insignificant during the Decepticon invasion, with Secretary of Defense [[John Keller]] pretty much running the show. Mostly, he wears red socks, has a penchant for Ding Dongs and speaks with a cheesy southwestern accent and stereotypical dialect ("Can you wrangle me up some Ding Dongs darlin'?"). He also seems unconcerned with [[Frenzy (Movie)|tiny crazy robots]] hacking into the computers of [[Air Force One|his ride]], that is until he's thrown in a bunker somewhere after the resulting emergency landing.

(Obviously, this president is a parody of George W. Bush.)
