Once the [[Constructicon (ROTF)|Constructicons]] had finished combining in a quarry near the [[Great Pyramid of Giza]], Devastator activated his Vortex Grinder and began sucking in all nearby objects, including a few cars, some livestock, and a few hapless bystanders. [[Seymour Simmons]] was nearly sucked in, but was saved by [[Leo Spitz]]. The Autobot [[Mudflap (ROTF)|Mudflap]] was less fortunate, and was pulled into the maw. This caused Devastator to deactivate the Vortex Grinder long enough for the Humans and surviving Autobot [[Skids (ROTF)|Skids]] to make a mad dash under Devastator, as it was the only safe place. They also got a little extra time when Mudflap burst out of Devastator's head, alive and well.<br />
