On far off [[Quintessa]] his ship it did crash. Wheelie survived, though his ship turned to ash. Though friendless and alone, Wheelie remained alive. For Wheelie is strong and the strong must survive!

On one fateful day, the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]] came in search of their friends, so Wheelie gayly offered to help them meet their ends. With his confident walk and whimsical talk, he earned the respect of the Mighty [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]]. And then with the help of [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]], [[Kup (G1)|Kup]] and the rest, Wheelie returned to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], which most can attest. {{storylink|The Transformers: The Movie}}

In 2006, for all that it's worth, he was charged with bringing [[Metroplex (G1)|Metroplex]]'s [[transformation cog]] to [[Earth]]. To accomplish the task Wheelie was paired with fast-talking [[Blurr (G1)|Blurr]]. But Galvatron soon stranded them on Io, that villainous cur! Being attacked by [[lipole]]s, things began to look grim. But then [[Marissa Faireborn]] and [[Sky Lynx (G1)|Sky Lynx]] came to rescue him! With the cog at last delivered, Metroplex came alive. He thrashed [[Trypticon (G1)|Trypticon]] and that vile villain took a dive! {{storylink|Five Faces of Darkness}}

By 2011, Wheelie was too petulant to rhyme. He blamed everything on [[Chromedome (G1)|Chromedome]], like, ''all'' of the time. Although a jerk to the core, Wheelie was not all alone. He hung out with [[Daniel Witwicky (G1)|Daniel]] and the two were quite danger-prone.

At one point, at a party he had too much to drink. He got drunk and passed out, that adorable rat-fink.

Soundblaster got all up in his grill, saying "Bitch! Know your place!" When [[Slugfest (G1)|Slugfest]] and [[Overkill (G1)|Overkill]], took hostage [[Carly Witwicky (G1)|Carly]] and [[Spike Witwicky|Spike]], [[Daniel Witwicky (G1)|Daniel]] went berserk and started to strike! Sending the [[Decepticon Mini-Cassette|Cassette dinosaurs]] running back home, Soundblaster was left open to an attack from [[Chromedome (G1)|Chromedome]]. Although [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] promised peace to one and all, Wheelie was smart and for that ruse he did not fall. He joined a team along with [[Gnaw]], his [[Sharkticon (G1)|Sharkticon]] pet. Together they strived to unveil Shockwave's evil threat.

[[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] joined their side, but thought Gnaw was attacking and beat his hide. Wheelie thought him a brute, and in retaliation, he bit the commander's boot.
