A device of unknown origin and unimaginable power, the '''All Spark''' can create life itself and was the source of the [[Transformer]] race. For millions of years, [[Autobot]]s and [[Decepticon]]s waged the [[Great War]] over controlling it, with the Autobots only managing to defeat the Decepticons after they sent the All Spark through a [[space bridge]] portal, keeping it safely out of evil hands and effectively removing the wild card from remaining battles. If wielded by Decepticons, it would be a weapon of destruction like no other. In other words, same thing as the movie.

It seems to have a will of its own, seeking out qualified bearers and uniting even [[Sari Sumdac|unlikely allies]] into a team.

It can also unfold ''really'' purdy.

==Fiction==

===Animated cartoon===
[[Optimus Prime (Animated)|Optimus Prime]] and his crew from the [[Ark (Animated)|''Ark'']] were repairing a space bridge when it activated on them. Once Prime shut down the bridge, they stumbled across the All Spark, hidden away inside a rock, having apparently emerged while the bridge was active. [[Ratchet (Animated)|Ratchet]] told them of its history and significance in the Great War, believe it the All Spark had now found them, rather than the other way around. Almost immediately, the Decepticon leader [[Megatron (Animated)|Megatron]] and his crew showed up in their warship, the [[Nemesis (Animated)|''Nemesis'']], tracking the All Spark's energy readings. Megatron vowed to take the All Spark himself, but was sabotaged with a bomb by his lieutenant, [[Starscream (Animated)|Starscream]]. The explosion sent the ''Ark'' careening almost totally out of control until the All Spark activated a nearby space bridge, which itself exploded after the ''Ark'' went through.

The ship emerged from warp in low orbit over Earth and soon crash-landed in Lake Erie, not far from Detroit. Fifty years later, the Autobots came out of emergency stasis and ventured into the city to save people from a rampaging monster. [[Bumblebee (Animated)|Bumblebee]] quickly befriended a young girl named [[Sari Sumdac]], who convinced him to take her aboard the ''Ark'' when his teammate [[Prowl (Animated)|Prowl]] was badly injured. While aboard, Sari came in contact with the All Spark, which decided for some reason to open up to her—in more ways than one. It reconfigured her [[Sari Sumdac's key|security keycard]] into a powerful tool. With this new key, Sari could revive Autobots, activate machinery, screw up robots, and much more.

For a time, the Autobots were celebrated as Detroit's newest superheroes without having to exert themselves much, but then Starscream tracked them down. He took hostages and demanded the All Spark in exchange for their return. With Sari's help, the hostages were freed, but Starscream still managed to get hold of the All Spark, and he quickly started obliterating sections of Detroit with it. Prime attempted to wrestle the All Spark away from him, but again it opened, this time unleashing a powerful surge of energy that blasted away Starscream to parts unknown. Prime was left dangling from a tremendous height and quickly fell. He did not survive the impact, but in desperation, Sari used her reconfigured key on him. Ever since Starscream's attack on Detroit, the All Spark has remained on board the ''Ark'' at the bottom of Lake Erie. {{storylink|Lost and Found (Animated episode)|Lost and Found}}

==Notes==
The All Spark's powers, enigmatic origin, and storyline role are very similar to the [[All Spark|synonymous device]] from the [[Transformers (2007)|live-action movie]]. Its look, however, is more of an homage to the [[Matrix of Leadership]] (i.e. an orange-ish container with bracketed handles and a window in front that opens outward to reveal a glowing, blue, spherical crystal suffused with blue energy). However, the All Spark here is angular and cubic rather than curved and spheroid like the Matrix, basically hybridizing the looks of the movie and G1 devices. Unlike its' Movie counterpart, it does not kill a Transformer that merges the artifact with his/her Spark.

As Megatron descends to ground level, Optimus, Prowl and Bulkhead look on in disbelief. As he lands, Bulkhead takes point, launching his wrecking ball, but Megatron calmly slices it off, before backhanding Bulkhead into a nearby building. Prowl then attacks, but his throwing stars are easily deflected, and he finds himself on the defensive, dodging Megatron's swords. Taking cover behind a bridge support, he manages to avoid them, but Megatron's attacks destroy it, and two children are nearly crushed under the falling rubble, saved only by Optimus borrowing "a move from the Bumblebee play book", using a combination of his wheels and ax to dash forward and snatch the children up. Meanwhile Prowl is pinned under Megatron's foot, who draws a sword, ready to take revenge for Prowl slicing off the remains of his arm fifty years ago. Optimus saves him by using a combination of his grappler and his ax to knock the sword from Megatron's grasp. The two leaders face off, but Megatron simply blocks Prime's blow, and kicks him away. As he reaches for his dropped sword, Optimus launches a grappler, tripping him. Megatron follows up by snapping the grappler's line, and using it to swing Optimus into the side of a building.

In the tower, Blitzwing wants to join the fight, but Lugnut won't allow him to interfere in Megatron's business. As the two Decepticons argue, Dr. Sumdac tries to make a break for it, only to be blocked by Blitzwing. Meanwhile Starscream holds a struggling Bumblebee while watching Optimus and Megatron battle, trying to decide who he gains more from by helping, the Autobot or his would-be leader? On the ground, Optimus is taking a beating but says he will never reveal the AllSpark's location. Unfortunately Megatron simply plans to use the key to track down the AllSpark. Punching Prime hard enough to send him skidding across the tarmac, Megatron calls out to his loyal Decepticons. Lugnut and Blitzwing immediately respond, and Starscream casually comments on his decision being made for him and throws Bumblebee away. As Lugnut prostrates himself, Starscream drops down on his head, ready to renew his tenure as Second in Command. Megatron comments on the appropriateness of Starscream's presence, takes aim on the Autobots...then quickly jams the key into Starscream's chest, seemingly draining him of life. Dropping the offline seeker, Megatron asks if there are any other dissenters. Getting a negative response, he turns back to the Autobots, only to discover they used the distraction to escape. Blitzwing wants to chase after them, but Megatron believes the AllSpark takes priority. At his command the Decepticons transform and roll- er, rise up.
