What Henry Ford and Bill Gates were to the 20th century, '''Isaac Sumdac''' is to the 21st. He plays a vital role in the [[automaton]] industry of near-future Detroit. The founder of [[Sumdac Systems]], he is also the adoptive father of [[Sari Sumdac|Sari]]. He probably won't be winning any parenting awards soon, considering he leaves the raising of Sari to robots, seemingly neglects her for days while he works in his lab, and lets her stay overnight with a group of [[Autobot|giant alien robot]]s at an undisclosed location.

With his fame, wealth, and expertise, he will probably be of no interest whatsoever to the [[Decepticon]]s. Certainly his friend, [[Megatron (Animated)|the giant talking head in his lab]], would let him know if that wasn't true!

He seems to think big, psychotic, [[Dinobot (Animated)|robot dinosaurs]] would be a good thing to have around. [[Simon Furman|Some]] would [[Wheeljack (G1)|agree]].

As a youth, Sumdac found [[Megatron (Animated)| Megatron]]'s head after it crashed on Earth and [[Sector Seven|reverse-engineered]] it. It is from this that he gained all of the technology he used to build his robots. He is (understandably) terrified that the Autobots, not to mention the world at large, might find out what launched his robotics empire. {{storylink|Transform and Roll Out!}}

He was shocked to find Megatron still functioned. He confirmed that the robot was indeed an old friend of the Autobots, but bore no grudge. Megatron even suggested the Autobots would be more forgiving of Isaac dissecting him if the scientist gave him a new body before revealing the truth. As a sign of good faith, Megatron helped Sumdac rebuild his [[Dinobots (Animated)|robot dinosaurs]]. Unfortunately, a glitch made them rampage twice, and Isaac felt annoyed at the bad job he'd done. However, Megatron took the blame upon himself and was ashamed that he'd built weapons into the dinosaurs out of his desire to have a body again. The ''Nemesis'' was a Decepticon warship under the control of [[Megatron (Animated)|Megatron]]. It showed up on the outskirts of [[Autobot]]-controlled space almost immediately after the legendary [[All Spark (Animated)|All Spark]] was discovered by [[Optimus Prime (Animated)|Optimus Prime]] and his crew of [[space bridge]] repair-bots. It attacked Prime's ship, the [[Ark (Animated)|''Ark'']], in an attempt to capture the All Spark. Megatron went out to attack the ''Ark'' and seize the All Spark personally, unaware his lieutenant, [[Starscream (Animated)|Starscream]], had planted a bomb on him. When the bomb detonated, the Ark went out of control, plunging toward another space bridge portal. The All Spark opened the space bridge and caused a shock wave after the ''Ark'' went through, [[Slag (slang)|slagging]] the ''Nemesis'' and [[Starscream (Animated)|Starscream]] inside, while the other Decepticons escaped. For the next fifty solar cycles, Starscream piloted the remains the ship, searching for the All Spark to show the Decepticons he deserved to be their new leader. When its systems detected an All Spark-like energy signature from a remote star system, he went to investigate. En route, he monitored television transmissions that depicted Prime and his Autobots as the new superheroes of Detroit. {{storylink|Transform and Roll Out!}}

Its current location is unknown, as Starscream was not seen aboard it while within Earth's vicinity. The ship may have been on or near Earth when he monitored the TV transmissions, or it may not. It's possible Starscream has placed it somewhere on Earth, though it could also be in orbit or even on the Moon. It's also possible, though much less likely, that he left it somewhere much further away and traveled to Earth in an escape pod.
