Optimus Prime also uses Two Dual Energon Hooks which might be inspired by a "Shuang Gou". He uses them at the beginning of the new Rotf-Movie to cut off his parachutes after jumping out of an aeroplane (C-17) and in the Forest Battle to rip Grindor's face to pieces. Don't think that these are his Energon Swords. In the forest battle you can easily see that his swords are retracted while punching in Megatrons face and ripping off Starscreams arm.

This makes it a pretty handy weapon. Especially if you have a preference for [[decapitation|going after your enemy's face]].

Partially blind and more enraged than usual, Bonecrusher began wildly swinging his tail claw, but Optimus ducked behind a support pole and unsheathed his right Energon Sword.
