After the [[All Spark]] shard was retrieved from [[NEST]]'s secure bunker at [[Diego Garcia]], Long Haul, [[Rampage (ROTF)|Rampage]], [[Mixmaster (ROTF)|Mixmaster]], [[Scalpel]], [[Ravage (ROTF)|Ravage]] and [[Ze little one|another Constructicon]] secreted themselves aboard the ''[[Bayos]]'' freighter heading towards the North Atlantic. Once the ship passed over the [[Laurentian Abyss]], the Decepticons jumped overboard and dived down to where [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron's]] broken body lay. Scalpel ordered the death of the smallest Constructicon to rebuild Megatron, an request that Long Haul and the others obliged with. Soon, Megatron was reborn!

Some time later, Long Haul and another Constructicon with the same [[body-type]] were present during the climactic battle in [[Egypt]] between the [[Autobot]]/NEST forces and [[The Fallen]]'s Decepticons. Long Haul and several other Constructicons waited in a quarry in their construction vehicle disguises until the [[human]]s [[Seymour Simmons]], [[Leo Spitz]] and their Autobot guardians [[Skids (ROTF)|Skids]] and [[Mudflap (ROTF)|Mudflap]] approached. The Constructicons [[combiner|combined]] into the mighty Devastator and attacked.

Elsewhere, the other Long Haul joined [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]] and the other Decepticons in their search for [[Sam Witwicky]] and the [[Matrix of Leadership]]. Long Haul fought against the NEST forces in the Egyptian town near the great ruins of the pyramids and was destroyed during the [[United States Air Force]] air strike. Meanwhile, Devastator had shrugged off the Autobot twins and was busy demolishing the [[Great Pyramid of Giza]] when Simmons called upon the [[United States Navy]] to attack Devastator. Long Haul served as the Decepticons' ground-based heavy-hitter, with his long-range [[charged grenade]]s and flamethrower. He could also initiate a combat repair sequence that would rapidly regenerate his health, much like the Autobot [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]]'s repair ability.

After [[Sideways (ROTF)|Sideways]] cleared out most of the [[Protectobot Scout|Protectobots]] from [[Shanghai]] construction area, Long Haul was deployed to upload a virus into all of the [[NEST]] communications arrays in the area. Soon after, Long Haul was sent to the Shanghai spiral highway to destroy two NEST field headquarters and their defenders, drawing the Autobot [[Ironhide (Movie)|Ironhide]] out into the open. Both combatants were roughly evenly matched, but Long Haul's long-range charged grenades and his combat repair sequence gave him the edge to defeat Ironhide this time. Long Haul was soon sent back to the spiral highway to follow in the wake of a cloaked Autobot probe, which was, to add insult to injury, created by salvaging Decepticon technology. The Decepticon shrugged off attacks by the Autobot defenders, chased after the probe and destroyed it when it revealed itself.

Later, Long Haul was sent to the [[United States]] West Coast oil refinery to capture the human female known as [[Mikaela Banes]], who might know the location of an [[All Spark (Movie)|All Spark fragment]]. He destroyed numerous buildings to force the engineers to evacuate, then brought them to an interrogator probe that plumbed the minds of these primitive organic beings. Though none of the subjects survived the torture, one did provide the location of the human female before he expired, and Long Haul was able to capture her. Unfortunately, she was rescued by the Autobots soon after Long Haul left the area.

After Megatron's glorious resurrection, Long Haul was deployed to the East Coast industrial area to chase after and destroy yet another cloaked Autobot probe. Soon after, he was sent to the East Coast city with the L-train to send a message to the pathetic humans that their NEST and the Autobots could not protect them. Despite overwhelming odds, Long Haul attacked and destroyed the primitive power plant and the crude televisual broadcasting station.

Following their journey to Egypt, the Decepticons discovered that the Autobot collaborators had given the human insects the [[Axiom Gun]], which was being used in [[Cairo]] to attack the Decepticons. At the Shanghai spiral highway, Ironhide was eager for payback for his earlier defeat at the hands of Long Haul. In robot mode, he has two spring-loaded flip-out axes and two [[Mech Alive]] gimmicks (only one of which is advertised) in which turning his head also turns a cog in his chest and bending his elbows moves some pistons. Although his head is able to turn 360 degrees in robot mode, it is somewhat difficult to manipulate his head due to the blue-gray bar that acts as the axle for his rear wheels, which cannot fold further onto his back. (This folding would have also made his shoulder/wheel area more screen accurate, alas.)
