Completely without mercy or fear, '''Megazarak''' is responsible for the near-annihilation of the [[Autobot|Autobots]] in his timestream. He amassed a small army of loyal followers -among them [[Caliburn]], [[Sunstorm (G1)|Sunstorm]], [[Dreadwind (RID)|Dreadwind]] and [[Smokejumper]]- and tore through [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] in a genocidal war unprecedented in this Cybertron's history... and most other Cybertrons, in fact. The surface of the planet is littered with the remains of Autobot and Decepticon alike, but mostly Autobot. He has utterly decimated the planet, leaving only his followers and a tiny handful of straggling Autobot resistance fighters lurking deep within the planet.

Even though Cybertron is effectively his, Megazarak has not relented. He has become obsessed with one prize that has eluded his grasp; the Autobot [[Matrix of Leadership|Matrix]], hidden by the slain Matrix-bearer, and left in the care of the "Last Autobot" [[Defensor (OTFCC)|Defensor]].

In another alternate universe, Megazarak is the one who killed the [[Optimus Prime (Balancing Act)|Optimus Prime]] whose clone would become the [[Herald of Unicron]], [[Nemesis Prime (Universe 2003)|Nemesis Prime]], leaving his chassis (and the Matrix within) to corrode on the shores of the [[Rust Sea]].<ref>Nemesis Prime's ''Universe'' profile</ref>

Megazarak and Caliburn delved deep into Cybertron in search of the [[Oracle]], which Megazarak believed would give him the location of [[Base Sigma]], the last pocket of Autobot resistance, and the hiding place of the Matrix. Only the Oracle's ancient caretaker [[Ultra Trion]] stood in his way, but not for long.

Megazarak simply batted Ultra Trion aside, but when the guardian continued to attack, Megazarak quickly grew tired of the distraction and obliterated the ancient Autobot. But the Oracle wasn't in its ancient chamber anymore, delaying Megazarak's final victory yet again. {{storylink|Shell Game}}

'''Ultra Trion''' is among the scattered few Autobots left on an alternate-universe [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] that has been utterly ravaged by [[Megazarak]] and his hordes. He watches over the hall of the [[Oracle]], welcoming those seeking enlightenment.

Needless to say, he's a little lonely right about now.

He is a little better-armed than most mystic-type ancient Autobots, but fighting is far from his forte.

Megazarak sought out the Oracle guarded by Ultra Trion in order to locate [[Base Sigma]], the location of the last pocket of Autobot resistance on his Cybertron, which was presumably where the [[Matrix]] was also kept hidden. Only Ultra Trion stood in his way, but Megazarak swatted him to the floor easily.

Ultra Trion attempted to destroy Megazarak with a missile hidden in his right shoulder armor, knowing he would not survive his encounter with Megazarak. But the Decepticon warlord simply stuffed the missile back into Trion, detonating it without taking a hint of damage. Ultra Trion was not so lucky. Not content with merely grievously wounding the ancient Autobot, Megazarak then turned his main cannon on Trion and finished the job.

But Trion had gotten one over on Megazarak after all; the Oracle was no longer in its chamber. It cost him his life, but Ultra Trion had bought the remaining Autobot resistance a little more time. {{storylink|Shell Game}}
