Sorry, but I can't remember how to add my username. I just wanted to point out that there is another small error in the episode. When Dreadwing digs himself out of the avalanche and is holding is cannon, his sword is attached to the top of it (which is presumably where he stores it) yet moments later he picks his sword up off the ground and then puts it away.

New Decepticon leader [[Ratbat (G1)|Ratbat]] dispatched the Predacons to raid a chemical storage facility outside of [[Huntsville]], [[Alabama]] for rocket fuel. Having succeeded, they joined Ratbat for an assault on [[Intelligence and Information Institute|I.I.I.]]'s [[Oregon]] headquarters, in order to examine the corpses of the [[Throttlebot|Throttlebots]], whom Triple-I had recently executed. After making short work of the [[Rapid Anti-robot Assault Team|RAAT]] forces guarding the base, they located the crushed Autobot bodies, only to find that their [[Brain module|brain modules]] had been removed. Ratbat and the Predacons tracked the brains (which had been transplanted into toy cars) to [[S. While on the planet, the Predacons' higher functions degraded, causing them to become feral. [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] tracked down the exiled Predacons on Beest and, with the aid of three members of the [[Air Warrior|Aerospace Extermination Squadron]], subdued and rebuilt them, allowing them to combine into the fearsome Predaking. {{storylink|Welcome to the Jungle}}

Their first target was [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]]'s base on Cybertronian [[Wastelands]], where the Predacons drew out and attacked [[Astrotrain (G1)|Astrotrain]] and [[Blitzwing (G1)|Blitzwing]], killing the latter. After the Battle of [[Thunderhead Pass]], Razorclaw was involved in a Decepticon scheme to demoralize the Autobots and claim as much of their territory on the planet as possible. [[Soundwave (G1)|Soundwave]] used [[Bombshell (G1)|Bombshell]] to subvert the will of [[Beachcomber (G1)|Beachcomber]], forcing the Autobot to make an assassination attempt on [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]], "The Voice" of the Autobot cause. And so, just as the Autobot forces were gathering around their transmitters, waiting for the pre-scheduled broadcast that would never come, Razorclaw caught them off-guard with a massive full-frontal assault on the enemy trenches. Besides his Predacons, he led [[Darkwing]], [[Dreadwind (G1)|Dreadwind]], [[Needlenose]], [[Spinister (G1)|Spinister]], and even the mighty [[Trypticon (G1)|Trypticon]] himself into battle. At one point on Cybertron, the Predacons hunted down and killed two squads of Autobots, leaving [[Tracks (G1)|Tracks]] and [[Jazz (G1)|Jazz]] the only survivors. Razorclaw started a countdown on an orbital bombardment powerful enough to destroy Cybertron, but stood at the console with his finger on the button, ready to cancel it in the event that Thunderwing was defeated. He remarked that he was hesitant to destroy Cybertron unless it was absolutely necessary, but was willing to do it if it was. During the Autobots' battle with Thunderwing, Razorclaw sent two assault teams under Divebomb and Headstrong to assist the Autobots, but ordered them to retreat when Thunderwing revealed his "ultra-mode". Several years later, hundreds of Decepticons gathered on a desolate planetoid somewhere. After making short work of the [[Rapid Anti-robot Assault Team|RAAT]] forces guarding the base, they located the crushed Autobot bodies, only to find that their [[Brain module|brain modules]] had been removed. Ratbat and the Predacons tracked the brains (which had been transplanted into toy cars) to [[S. About TM megs, I think the plastic used has some form of GPScombined with problems with stress. From what I've found, the ''Beast Wars Metals'' Metals Megatron does not have the problems Hasbro's TM megatron has, nor does ''Armada'' Predacon. Having talked with a few people who have snapped Megatrons, the breaks on that toy all sound very clean to me, and sound liek a "Gradual pressure" situation. As such, I can only conclude that the original TM Megatrons simply had the wrong kind of plastic for that joint, one that would not stand up to the constant pressure applied in transformation, not "bad" plastic. And as the article notes, GPS breaks are anything but clean... I've got a few toys that suffer from it... virtually all of them were like-new (being either purchased in sealed bubbles or were obvious display pieces), and they CRUMBLED near-instantly. With the new Movie figures coming out, I've noticed Starscream has the characteristic streaks of color that are evident in toys that suffer from GPS. I forgot to mention in the above post that I noticed Energon Starscream's transparent green wings seem to suffer from GPS. I myself rarely used the hinge on the wings used for the missile launchers (considering I LOST one of the missiles... ) but one day I noticed a break in the plastic around where the pin that holds it in place was situated. It didn't look like a stress fracture, but more like plastic rot. If anyone else has noticed this, maybe it should be added to the main article.

I don't have my Superbase Prime in front of me, but I'm pretty sure his gold plastic is unpaintable, meaning it isn't the type of plactic that can be affected. Gigastorm held off at first, but after the Predacons were defeated, Starscream began to beg for mercy and even offered to switch sides. This disgusted Gigastorm, who then activated the explosives. The explosion dropped Starscream and BB into a pit of Angolmois energy which upgraded them into Hellscream (a flying cybernetic shark) and Max-B (a flying cybernetic wolf).

[[Spike Witwicky (G1)|Spike Witwicky]] and [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] continue their chat; Prime admits that he felt he was an ineffective leader once the [[Decepticon]]s left. He also tells Spike how he admires the [[human]] race and their wisdom. He hopes his men will transform without him.

[[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]] returns to the [[Autobot]]s' cave and immediately states his intentions to assemble a team to arrest "[[Hot Rod (G1)|Rodimus Prime]]". [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]] questions this, as well as Magnus's choice of the recently traumatized [[Blurr (G1)|Blurr]], but Magnus will have none of it and supersedes Bumblebee's complaints.

Spike takes a ride in [[Breakdown (G1)|Breakdown]] to clear his head, but is soon sideswiped by [[Drag Strip (G1)|Drag Strip]]. He, along with [[Wildrider (G1)|Wildrider]], had been looking for their fellow [[Stunticon (G1)|Stunticon]] and are disgusted that he's being driven by a human. They decide that they will wreck Breakdown in order to kill Spike, because Breakdown can be repaired later. Wildrider rams him next, but Spike retaliates with a weapon he brought along. He tries to lead the two Decepticons back to [[Skywatch]], but [[Motormaster (G1)|Motormaster]] appears traveling in the opposite direction and runs Spike off the road, where he dives into a ravine. As Spike requests a pick up from Skywatch, Breakdown is recovered and brought back to Hot Rod's site.

At the site, [[Swindle (G1)|Swindle]] spends a bit of time repairing Breakdown, and it attracts attention from [[Bluestreak (G1)|Silverstreak]], but Hot Rod dismisses his concerns. Ultra Magnus and his team arrive to arrest Rodimus, who explains that he isn't committing treason since the war is over. He tries to appeal to Bumblebee, but Magnus interrupts him. Just then, Swindle walks over and says that he'll take over now. Rodimus says that he has things under control, but Swindle drops the charade and says he plans to take the ship off the planet, and kill as many Autobots as he can before that. Magnus counters that the Autobots have him outnumbered, but Swindle gives the order for the Stunticons to merge into [[Menasor (G1)|Menasor]]... his newest creation. Swindle tells Menasor to kill Magnus first...

His leader pays a visit, mostly to gloat over how their positions have changed. Once he leaves, Starscream rips himself free of the cables feeding him. [[Knock Out (Prime)|Knock Out]] is shocked to see Starscream up and about, but Starscream claims angrily that he feels fine and limps away. Starscream retrieves a shard of [[Dark Energon]]—the one he originally ripped from Megatron's body—from its hiding place and promises that his and Megatron's positions will be reversed.

At the [[Autobot Outpost Omega One|Autobot base]], [[Ratchet (Prime)|Ratchet]] reports that he's detected a weak but rapidly moving Dark Energon signal, which the [[Autobot]]s assume is Megatron. [[Miko Nakadai|Miko]] seems thrilled at the prospect of zombie-cons.

Starscream arrives at the site of [[Skyquake (Prime)|Skyquake]]'s grave, announcing that this time the fallen warrior will be his servant. Breaking off a chunk of the Dark Energon and throwing it into the cairn, Starscream plunges the rest of it into himself and feels the power flowing through him.

[[Optimus Prime (Prime)|Optimus Prime]] readies the Autobots to move out, though Ratchet's surprised that he's on the team. As Miko yells words of encouragement to [[Bulkhead (Prime)|Bulkhead]], [[Jack Darby|Jack]] and [[Raf Esquivel|Raf]] observe that she's obviously up to something, since she's acting disinterested in coming along. Indeed, as the Autobots head through the [[GroundBridge]], Miko makes a break for the opening, and Jack and Raf give chase. Jack manages to grab her on the threshold, but she shakes loose and runs through, though her cell phone is knocked from her belt. The three kids arrive on site just behind the Autobots and scramble up a nearby outcropping to watch the anticipated battle. The Autobots are surprised to find Starscream instead of Megatron, and he takes advantage by shooting at them and proclaiming his invulnerability. Optimus responds by shooting one of Starscream's arms off. As the Autobots close in, Starscream takes cover and shouts at Skyquake to hurry up and rise before panicking and requesting an emergency GroundBridge. The Autobots finally spot the kids when Miko shouts at Jack for making her lose her phone, just in time for [[Arcee (Prime)|Arcee]] to call from base asking where the kids are. Optimus orders her to send a GroundBridge. Ratchet is surprised when ''two'' GroundBridge portals open, but orders the kids to go in. They do so, and Starscream likewise dives through the 'Con GroundBridge, but moments later, green energy begins swirling around everywhere. Bulkhead runs to save the kids, but is knocked back from the GroundBridge portal, which then explodes.

Starscream arrives back on the ''Nemesis'' and tells the [[Vehicon (Prime)|Vehicon]] operator to keep his mouth shut. After leaving the GroundBridge room, he removes the chunk of Dark Energon from his chest.

The kids pick themselves up, as do the Autobots, but the kids quickly discover that the Autobots can't see them, and to Miko's alarm, Bulkhead steps right through her. Unaware, the Autobots speculate on what happened to the kids. Raf works out that he, Jack and Miko are in a sort of alternate dimension he calls a [[shadowzone (place)|shadowzone]]. Optimus observes that Skyquake's grave is empty and requests a GroundBridge from Arcee. The kids spot Skyquake—now a Dark Energon zombie—heading towards the Autobots. Their cries of warning go unheard, but Skyquake's strike passes right through Bulkhead. The kids rapidly realize that Skyquake is in the same dimension as they are, and they and run for it. Raf trips and is carried to safety by Jack, but has lost his glasses. Miko makes an ill-advised recovery of the spectacles, and they continue their flight.

The Autobots are at a loss to locate the kids until [[Bumblebee (Prime)|Bumblebee]] suggests calling them. Bulkhead rings Miko, only to discover her lost cellphone sitting on the floor in the Autobot base. Arcee rings Jack, and in the shadowzone, his phone rings, but there's too much interference for him and Arcee to communicate. The kids hit on the idea of sending a text message to Miko's phone but are forced to run as Skyquake finds them. Miko is just realizing that they've gone in a circle when they literally run into Starscream's lost arm.

Knock Out examines Starscream, who covers for his lost arm by saying it just fell off. The medic tries unsuccessfully to interest him in a replacement upgrade arm.

Meanwhile, the kids use Starscream's arm to fire a missile at Skyquake. They manage to blast Skyquake's arm off, but it promptly animates and starts charging towards them at high speed. The kids start running once again.

At base, Bulkhead spots Miko's phone is flashing, and the Autobots finally get the kids' message. Ratchet sets about trying to locate where they are.

Starscream's piece of Dark Energon starts pulsing, which he takes to mean that Skyquake has risen. He tells Knock Out, returning with a new arm, that he's going to go and retrieve his old arm.

Ratchet pinpoints the kids to the location of Skyquake's grave and starts working on a way to return them to the normal dimension.

The kids find themselves back at Starscream's arm and are confronted by Starscream himself, come to find Skyquake. Luckily, he can't see them, but they're forced to run toward him when Skyquake's arm appears. A GroundBridge portal opens in front of them, and they run through at the last moment. Starscream is startled by the three humans running past, but then Skyquake's arm follows them through the portal and grabs Starscream's head. He has barely shaken the thing loose when Optimus, Bulkhead and Bumblebee arrive, and he has to request another emergency GroundBridge.

Back at base, Miko takes responsibility for the whole venture, much to Jack's surprise, but the Autobots decide she's been through enough. Bulkhead regrets she didn't get to take any pictures, but Miko asserts that the mental image of zombie Skyquake will be enough.

Knock Out performs more repairs on Starscream and enquires whether he retrieved his arm. Back in the shadowzone, Skyquake briefly tries Starscream's arm on for size before tossing it away.

[[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] has raised the ''Nemesis'' from its watery grave and has begun a random attack on everything in sight, all the while quoting the [[Covenant of Primus]]. After telling Rhinox to "deploy [[Operation Eternity]]", [[Optimus Primal]] and [[Tigerhawk]] attempt to fight it off, but their weapons don't even scratch the hull. Tigerhawk tells Primal to rally the Maximals and that he will remain to fight. On the ''Nemesis'', [[Dinobot II|Dinobot]] is commenting that his [[spark]] has changed and feels complete. Aspects of [[Dinobot (BW)|the original Dinobot]] begin to emerge. He admires Tigerhawk's defense. Tigerhawk is able to damage power on several decks, limiting Megatron's offensive options to using the fusion cannon, which he uses to destroy Tigerhawk. Going to the [[Protohuman]] settlement, Megatron prepares to destroy it. Dinobot objects, asking where the honor is in such an act, but Megatron fires anyway, killing [[Inferno (BW)|Inferno]] and [[Quickstrike (BW)|Quickstrike]] in the process.

At [[Mount St. Hilary]], the Maximals are preparing a last-ditch strategy—bring the [[Ark (G1)|Ark]] online and fight the ''Nemesis''. However, the ship has been offline too long, and [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]] and [[Blackarachnia (BW)|Blackarachnia]] are having trouble restoring power. The ''Nemesis'' arrives, but Tigerhawk's attack has depleted its [[Energon (fuel)|energon]] reserves, and the fusion cannon requires time to recharge. Megatron activates its tractor beam, and Primal enters the ''Nemesis''. He and Megatron duke it out, but the Predacon clearly has the advantage. On the Ark, the Maximals manage to get the engines on line, but they burn out almost instantly. [[Rattrap]] proclaims that they are all going to die, and for once, no one tells him to shut up. Instead, the characteristically stoic Rhinox simply responds with "Yup".

However, Dinobot, disapproving of Megatron's actions, sends a message to the Maximals of an [[Autobot Shuttle Omega Delta|Autobot shuttle]] stored in the Ark. Megatron orders Dinobot to fire, but he refuses, stating that he has his honor. In a last bid to save them all, Rhinox pilots the shuttle on a collision course with the ''Nemesis''' bridge, crashing through the viewport and going out the other side. Optimus urges Dinobot to save himself, but he remains with the ship, bidding farewell to Primal. As the ''Nemesis'' crashes, Primal rejoins the Maximals.

Some time later, the Maximals, having repaired the shuttle and rigged a [[transwarp]] cell to it, leave [[Earth]] for [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. Optimus, piloting the ship, declares that the [[Beast Wars (event)|Beast Wars]] are over, and memorializes the Maximals who fell during the war. Rattrap, however, is more happy to be going home and points out that they won't have to see Megatron 'til they get there, as the Predacon is tied to the hull of their shuttle. As the shuttle enters transwarp, the scene shifts to the Protohumans, who have built a village and are using parts of Inferno and Quickstrike in a ritual to celebrate their new leader...[[Waspinator (BW)|Waspinator]].

In the ultimate act of karma, Waspinator declares that he is "happy at last."

*At one point, Optimus tears his wing off and tosses it to jam the giant grinder mechanisms on the bottom of the ''Nemesis''. However, in the next scene in which he appears, his wing has been replaced with no explanation.
*As the Maximals await their doom inside the Ark and Rattrap comments on how they're "all gonna die", he's missing his robot-mode "backpack".
*Megatron apparently transforms to dragon mode off-screen, transforms back to robot mode on-screen before the scene cuts away, then when next we see him, he is in dragon mode again!
*For most of the episode, Optimus is missing the "blast shields" that he usually wears on either his forearms or shoulders.

It should be noted, however, that despite the cut, Optimus's lines from that segment were still included in the episode, albeit used in a different context.
*In "[[Other Victories]]", Megatron is perplexed by the idea of Tarantulas trying to destroy the Ark and Tigerhawk states that doing so would erase those descended from Autobots and Decepticons. So why is Megatron doing it ''now''? Considering his religious babbling, it comes off like he's gone mad and thinks it'll erase everyone ''but'' him...

At the [[Maximal]] base, [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]] enthusiastically volunteers to field test a new comlink [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]] has developed to aid long range communication. Cheetor is instructed to take care of the device and not engage any [[Predacon (BW)|Predacons]]. After Cheetor bolts out of the room, Rhinox expresses a bit of doubt, but [[Optimus Primal|Optimus]] is confident that he'll do fine.

Five [[units of length|microquads]] away, Cheetor hears an explosion, caused by [[Scorponok (BW)|Scorponok]] trying to recover a mega-cannon from one of the two ships. He radios a report to Optimus and heads off to investigate, openly defying his orders of avoiding any trouble. Primal leaves to recover Cheetor before something bad happens. Cheetor finds Scorponok and radios to Rhinox that he's going to take immediate action. He holds Scorponok at gunpoint, but [[Tarantulas (BW)|Tarantulas]] surprises Cheetor, giving Scorponok the time he needs to take him out with a missile. By the time Optimus arrives, the two Predacons are gone and Cheetor is left heavily damaged. As he lays unconscious, he dreams...

But from the darkness within an empty water tower, the glowing eyes of Tarantulas taunt Cheetor. He opens fire again, this time finding his accuracy sorely diminished. Suddenly Scorponok transforms and attacks, and out of the blue Rattrap appears for a split second. With his blaster exhausted, Cheetor is unable to do anything but watch as a missile from Scorponok closes in.''

Cheetor reawakens on the ''[[Axalon (BW)|Axalon]]'', having been repaired by Rhinox. Cheetor tries to explain to the Maximals gathered around him that he had to take immediate action to stop Scorponok's recovery of the cannon, but Optimus and the others are still disappointed in him for losing both the communicator and the cannon because of his impulsive actions. Once Primal leaves, [[Rattrap]] gives Cheetor a hard time, causing the cat bot to snarl back and rush out of the room again. Rhinox makes Rattrap face up to what Cheetor is surely going to do, so Rattrap relents and agrees to go after him.

In Predacon territory, Terrorsaur and Scorponok install the newly recovered mega-cannon. Cheetor tries to sneak past them, but is so focused on waiting for the correct moment that he doesn't notice Tarantulas emerge from the ground behind him, and is quickly ensnared.

Cheetor awakens in a dark cavern, stuck to an energy web that restricts his movement. Tarantulas explains to him that the [[stasis web]] is draining his energy slowly, leaving the delicious body ripe for consumption. Tarantulas crawls over his captive's body and laughs with delight at the thought of his meal.

In the ''Axalon'''s control room, Optimus, Rhinox, and [[Dinobot (BW)|Dinobot]] look over a holo-map of the [[Darksyde|crashed Predacon ship]]. Primal prepares to send Rattrap on a scouting mission, but Rhinox covers for his friend and says that the rat is talking to Cheetor.

Unknown to Optimus, Rattrap is already in Predacon territory, following Cheetor's trail. Rattrap finds Tarantulas's lair, and engages his Predacon nemesis. While the two battle, Tarantulas increases the rate at which the web drains energy from Cheetor. Tarantulas hunts Rattrap through the cavern with a thermal scan, but Rattrap fools him with a "hot box" and blasts the unfortunate spider.

After destroying the energy web, Rattrap grabs Cheetor and gets ready to leave, but one last blast from Tarantulas forces Rattrap to make his exit by diving away from a large explosion... which causes the cavern to collapse upon Tarantulas.

Back at the base, Rattrap lies to Optimus and claims he and Cheetor were just hanging out together. The act spares Cheetor from Primal's anger. In private, Rattrap emphasizes to Cheetor that he was only lying to cover his own hide... but Cheetor is still grateful to his pal.

* Cheetor wakes up after having been repaired by Rhinox, when generally the characters just emerge from a [[CR chamber]]. Based on this and the Maximals talking about the need for internal repairs in [[Beast Wars (Part 1)|the opening episode]], it appears they haven't got the Chambers working yet.
* The Maximals have been stranded for at least a month (the time it took Rhinox to make the comlink). Either way, it becomes somewhat of a moot point in later episodes as the Maximals manage to communicate through interfaces on their bodies (Presumably, Rhinox upgraded them to compensate for the lost comlink.)
* The incredibly dangerous "mega-cannon" that is the focus of the early part of the episode is never mentioned again and the Maximals never seem to destroy it or even delay its installation.
*Optimus mentions that Rhinox doesn't have the parts to build another comlink. Even if it did work, he wouldn't have been able to make any more for the rest of the team.
* The first time Scorponok transforms to robot mode, right before he fires at the rock, his eyes are red instead of their usual yellow.

==Synopsis==
Skywarp diverts from his mission to meet with Ramjet in mid-flight. While speeding across the skies, Ramjet and Skywarp discuss the failings of Megatron and [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]]. Ramjet boasts that he has the smarts to overthrow Megatron, and tries to enlist Skywarp. Skywarp gives him 24 hours to come up with a good plan, reminding him of the old Cybertronian saying, "Always bet on the leader." Ramjet checks in with his Mini-Constructicons, who inform him that the Universal Cybertronic Tracker will be ready in 18 hours. Ramjet next contacts his Pentagon-employed [[facsimile construct|facsimile]] Harrison (who, due to inferior construction, appears dimwitted) and tells him to be prepared to deliver missile codes. Ramjet will use the missiles to devastate the United States.

As Megatron and his Decepticons begin their war in [[Brasnya]] (as seen in [[Escalation issue 4|''Escalation,'' issue 4]]), Ramjet flies to the European Union Alternative Energy Research Center and drops fliers for an unspecified contest. A money symbol on the flier is actually a spy device which jumps off the paper and attaches itself to the computers of the Center's employees. Ramjet believes that someone at the Center will eventually develop a useful Energon substitute. Megatron, meanwhile delivers to [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] the beating of his life (as seen in [[Escalation issue 5|''Escalation,'' issue 5]]).

Ramjet later returns to his Mini-Constructicons, and they have his device ready. When two of them ask for a taste of his power once he overthrows Megatron, Ramjet destroys them for their insolence. Harrison meets with Ramjet and delivers the codes, but his face is melting off due to his inferior creation. Ramjet boasts of his plans to his liquefying lackey, which include tracking all Cybertronians, acquiring his Energon substitute, blowing up the U.S., enslaving the [[Decepticon]]s and humans of [[Earth]], and using a superstring [[space bridge]] to dominate the galaxy.

Unfortunately for Ramjet, Megatron arrives and beats him mercilessly, ripping out his spark before tearing him limb from limb. He scatters Ramjet's parts at Ramjet's base, Harrison's office at the Pentagon, and the Energy Research Center, indicating that he knew about Ramjet's plans in detail. Megatron keeps Ramjet's head as a trophy and an object lesson for his other troops. Behind him, Skywarp echoes his earlier statement, "Always bet on the leader."

* This is the second ''[[Spotlight (comics)|Spotlight]]'' not written by [[Simon Furman]].
* The timeframe of the issue corresponds with the events in the ''[[Escalation (IDW)|Escalation]]'' series.
* Apparently, IDW Transformers can fart (page 7). In general terms, this is [[Humanization|not a new development]].
* As Harrison collapses to the ground, it can also be seen that his car is wrecked and smoking. This is not explained, though it seems likely that the barely-functional facsimile is a terrible driver, given that it can only speak in rudimentary grunts. (It's also nicely symbolic of how everything around Ramjet was about to turn to crap.)
* This issue has the first mention of a space bridge in the [[IDW Generation 1 continuity|IDW continuity]].

Snow Cat explains how he cleverly snuck into [[Ocean City]], but before reaching his target, he fell victim to a "sub-sea earthquake" that disrupted his agenda. In reality, he was defeated by recklessly driving into a wall and being crushed by falling pipes.

Slugslinger explains how he cleverly snuck into the Ocean City, using a sluice duct discovered by [[Shockblast (Energon)|Shockblast]], but before reaching his target, he fell victim to an "electrostatic security perimeter." In reality, he was defeated by a torrent of waste being flushed out of the same tube he was using to break in.

Sharkticon explains how he cleverly snuck into the Ocean City, but before reaching his target, he fell victim to a "strategic lockdown protocol." In reality, he was defeated by Kicker and the [[Energon Saber]].

This seems to be a poor choice of words; rather than mean it is not in the ''same continuity'' as the ''Energon'' comic, it appears to have been intended to mean that "Perspective" simply wasn't concurrent with the story being published in the ''Energon'' comics ''that month''. It would take years before the details of the [[Unreleased Dreamwave issues|unreleased ''Energon'' comics]] were revealed, but a six month gap was to follow the conclusion of "[[Multiplicity]]", during which the satellite base seen in this issue would have been established.
