Dinsmoore had a noted lack of enthusiasm for Lord Chumley's schemes, greeting his announcement he would hunt [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] with only a tired "oh dear." He tried to gently dissuade Chumley from continuing, suggesting they call in early because he was bushed.

He had a black sense of humor, noting that the [[Decepticon]]s were "just like the Humane Society in a way" when they spoiled Chumley's hunt, and dryly suggesting that, though Prime's value as a trophy had been ruined, he could still be made into a nice coffee table. When Lord Chumley was contemplating how to destroy the [[Decepticon]] [[Triple Changer]]s, Dinsmoore gleefully suggested molten lava.

When Prime breached Chumley's castle, Dinsmore hid in the tank in the trophy room, presumably evading capture, for a time at least.

In an alternate timeline, Grindor is one of the evil minions of the Decepticon [[Sunstorm (Universe)|Sunstorm]].

Reflector is unique among the Decepticons: he is three robots who talk and act in unison as a single mind in three (largely identical) bodies. He (they?) was with [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] on the [[Nemesis (G1)|Nemesis]] during its assault on the [[Ark]]. He was thus among Megatron's troops after their reawakening on [[Earth]]. Reflector and [[Thundercracker (G1)|Thundercracker]] did some scouting shortly after the Decepticons left the Ark. Reflector demonstrated his ability to zoom-focus and print pictures in camera mode.

He later spied on the laboratory of [[Dr. Alcazar]], the mentor of boy genius [[Chip Chase]]. Using his zoom-focus and photographic powers once more, Reflector secretly obtained the entry-code for the laboratory's security system. He claimed that stealing the anti-matter formula was going to be a piece of [[oil cake]]. Megatron used the code to sneak into the laboratory, though he was still too slow, as Dr. Alcazar had enough time to transfer all the information on the anti-matter formula to Chip Chase's home computer via something called the internet. Reflector later gathered valuable intelligence prior to the Decepticon attack on the [[Great Falls]] hydroelectric power plant.

Beyond the trio that makes up the camera, there are other Reflector-type Decepticon soldiers considered seperate. One of these was nearly sacrificed to send over the [[Space Bridge]] with a shipment of Energon cube.

Reflector becomes less active as the battle for Earth went on, almost disappearing entirely. He was last seen in 2005, participating in the initial Decepticon assault on Autobot City.

At first Wreck-Gar views the Autobots as thieves and enemies. Attacking without warning after [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]]' 'death', Wreck-Gar and his fellow Junkions soon learn that they were wrong. Wreck-Gar fights [[Springer]] for a while, before being taken down by Daniel Witwicky, with a steel bar to the back of the head.

Following their defeat and the arrival of [[Hot Rod]], [[Kup]], [[Wheelie]] and the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]]--and subsequent pacification with the [[Universal Greeting]], Wreck-Gar has the Junkions rebuild Ultra Magnus, and dance with the Autobots to [["Weird Al" Yankovic]] until they decide maybe they should protect Cybertron from [[Unicron]] after all.

After boogying down for an unspecified amount of time, the Junkions reveal their rather cruddy-looking ship to the Autobots and prepare to destroy Unicron, kill the Grand Poobah, and eliminate even the toughest stains.

Against Unicron, Wreck-Gar doesn't inflict much damage, really. Revealing the Junkions as mostly bluster, they fly around annoying Unicron until the ship is crushed by Unicron's hand.

Wreck-Gar survived as did [[Perceptor]], appearing with the rest of Rodimus Prime's Autobot team. He took over from Ratchet as the team's main surgeon, after these events.

He attacks the Autobots with a horde of Junkions, intent on hacking the still-sputtering engine from Blurr's body, and fights [[Springer]] in the process.

When the [[Recyclon]]s arrived on Junk, intending to convert the planet into energon for their overseers the [[Harvest Lords of Sigrath]], Wreck-Gar apprached the leader [[Salvage (G1)|Salvage]], and got two blaster bolts in the chest. After a near-instantaneous repair job, Wreck-Gar called out his fellows and swarmed the Recyclons, severely damaging them and forcing them to retreat to their ship the ''[[Reclamation]]'' and lift off.

Salvage returned to the planet's surface, leaving the ''Reclamation'' in orbit, in order to make peace with Wreck-Gar. But it was all a ruse; Salvage slapped a device on Wreck-Gar, a more powerful version of the Junkion leader's own decelerator laser, preventing him from attacking or calling his people while the orbiting Recyclons fired a beam from the [[Prime Processing Unit]] to convert the planet to energon from space. However, Wreck-Gar proved even stronger than Salvage expected, and he called the Junkions to fire a tractor beam at the ''Reclamation'', sending it crashing into Junk seconds before the Prime Processing Unit activated, causing the ship to explode. Salvage himself lived only a few seconds more than his fellows, as the Junkions closed in on him immediately afterwards.

'''Kickback''' is one of the most charming, likable beings you're ever likely to meet. He collects friends the way others do [[energon cube]]s. Scratch the surface though and you find a manipulative blackmailer that loves digging up dirt on his new "pals" to force them to work for him. Humans are particularly likely to fall prey to his honeyed words. In insect mode his super-charged legs allow him to jump great distances and kick through solid steel, though he's vunerable in that mode when attempting to fly through high winds.

The mercenary Insecticons landed on earth in their own space pod before the Ark crashed to Earth. Their pod crashed into the region that would become known as "Demon Swamp" and their computers adapted them to transform into insects and eat organic food to survive. The "Insecticons" apparently lived in the swamp for millions of year until discovered by Megatron's Decepticons. They form an uneasy alliance with Megatron, never coming fully under his command but working with the Decepticons when they could be convinced there was something (usually food) in it for them.

The Insecticons in the Cartoon were able to create vast clone armies of themselves at will, a formidable ability that my have been the reason they were able to maintain their autonomy from Megatron.

In 1984, Spike was a 14-year-old adolescent working with his father [[Sparkplug Witwicky|Sparkplug]] on an oil rig when the Decepticons attacked. After the Autobots rescued them, they volunteered to become their native guides to planet Earth.

Spike had many adventures with the Autobots, taking part in just about everything they did on Earth for at least the next few years. He became especially close friends with the little Autobot [[Bumblebee]]. In the course of these adventures he met [[Carly Witwicky|Carly]], an impetuous prodigy and MIT graduate. Despite being (much) smarter, older (she could drive), and hotter than him, Carly displayed a noticeable affection for the somewhat-dim Spike. They mated and produced [[Daniel Witwicky|offspring]].

As an adult in the distant year 2005, Spike was stationed with Bumblebee on one of the Autobot's secret moonbases. He had a bit of a potty-mouth about being eaten by the monster-planet [[Unicron]] but was saved from its belly by his afforementioned offspring. Later, when the Autobots had regained control of the planet, he become Earth's ambassador or something. Marooned on the distant planet [[Nebulos]] he became a [[Headmaster]] partner to [[Cerebros|Cerebros]] and single handedly rebuilt an ancient city into [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|a giant transformer]].

He polished up good.

Spike Witwicky was away at college for the first few years of the Autobot/Decepticon war on Earth until he returned home to find his younger brother [[Buster_Witwicky|Buster]] kidnapped by the Decepticons. Spike soon became the binary-bond partner to the [[Headmasters|Headmaster]] [[Fortress_Maximus_(G1)|Fortress Maximus]], after Fortress Maximus' first partner, [[Galen]], was killed in a battle with the Deception [[Scorponok_(G1)|Scorponok]].

Thereafter he struggled with balancing his responsibillities to his family with those to the Autobots. Once Buster was rescued, and with [[Optimus Prime]] returned to life to take his place as Autobot leader, Spike went into retirement, mothballing poor Max. This retirement wouldn't last however as it was interupted, first by a pair of Deceptioon [[Pretenders]], then by the crash of the [[Ark]] and a raving [[Galvatron]]. Through the course of these conflicts Spike learned that the [[binary bonding]] he had undergone with Maximus was far deeper and more permanent than he'd believed. Fortress Maximus was always there with him in his head, always a part of him. After his battle with Galvatron he seemed to have made peace with his connection to Fortress Maximus and his role as (perhaps) the last Autobot protector of Earth.

It's to be assumed that Spike and his father, Sparkplug, met the Autobots early on in their time on Earth (in a similar fashion as Spike and Sparkplug did in the cartoon, or Buster and Sparkplug did in the Marvel Comics). Spike definitely had a younger brother named Buster (like in the Marvel comics), yet it was Spike who formed a close friendship with Bumblebee (like in the cartoon, rather than missing out on the first few years of the Witwicky family's interaction with the Transformers while engaging in drinking orgies at college, like he did in the Marvel comics). The exact details of the Witwicky's early years as the Autobots' human associates are therefore not known.

Somewhere in the time after 1984, Spike married Carly, who then gave birth to Spike's son, Daniel. After the explosion of the Ark II in 1999, which caused the death of Spike's father Sparkplug, Spike tried to leave his involvement with the Transformers behind and settled down with his wife and son in Cleveland, Ohio, trying to live a new life as a normal family. The newfound peace wouldn't last for long, though, as Spike was soon recruited by a shady military official named [[Robert Hallo|General Hallo]] seeking his help in reviving Optimus Prime, whose body his men had recently found in the Arctic. Spike, who had been entrusted by Prime with a fragment of the Matrix, used that fragent to bring Prime back to life.

Prime subsequently used the Matrix to revive and assemble a group of his Autobots, which he would then lead against Megatron's Decepticons. Meanwhile, Spike was imprisoned by General Hallo, who had double motives behind reviving the Autobots and even tried to kill them by bombing them. With the help of [[Larry|Larry, the World's Most Resourceful Janitor]], Spike was able to escape his cell and uncover Hallo's sinister schemes, but not in time to stop him from launching a nuclear strike against the Autobots which was ultimately averted when [[Superion]] sacrificed his life in order to make it detonate before it could reach its target.

Following these events, Spike once again returned to his family and tried to leave his past with the Transformers behind. A few months later, though, his old friend Bumblebee, who had just decided to quit the Autobot army following a fierce battle against [[Sunstorm (G1)|Sunstorm]], showed up by his house. Spike, frustrated that the Autobots refused to leave him alone, hurled a few nasty insults against his old buddy before changing his mind and joining him on a men's night out in the city. The follow-up scene of Carly shouting at Spike singing [[drinking_songs|drinking songs]] with Bumblebee was never published due to the untimely faltering of Dreamwave.
