I don't think the Jetfire that appeared in the G2 Manga was the same Jetfire that appeared in the cartoon series. For one thing, he was always referred to as "Skyfire", even in toy-form. The function and reasons for even the real Optimus being called Jetfire in the initial translations are allready in the Wiki I think. The motto's are indeed all the same bar some translation related minor details. The motto's are indeed all the same bar some translation related minor details.
