The entire debate exists because "RIBFIR" in the American [[Generation 1 (cartoon)|G1 cartoon]], but "FIBRIR" in the toyline, comics, the Japanese G1 dub (which simply switched who was who), and even the US cartoon bible.

:It's a bit fiddlier than you might think. Go take a look at [[Go, Goshooter - Showdown in the Wasteland]], [[Super Warriors - The Godmaster Brothers]] or [[A Hero is Chosen - His Name is Ginrai]]. See how they all have that funky "dot" in the middle? It's designed to separate the titles into two parts, which has been done in the English translations used here by employing a hyphen. This one *doesn't* have the dot, but when *spoken,* by the narrator, is uttered with a pause between "Ginrai" and the rest of the sentence. There are several other titles that are like this one - [[A Strange Friendship: Cancer and Minerva]] and [[BlackZarak: Destroyer from Space]] are two that come to mind right away. Jordan L. Derber specifically translated instances of the "dot" as hyphens (or otherwise did away with it by merging the sentences or using other punctuation), while titles like this one, without the punctuation but featuring the spoken pause, were rendered with colons. What we know about IDW Jhiaxus: He's an ancient '''Autobot''' and theoretical strategist who invented the gestalt process. That's not really anything like the Jhiaxus from G2. The only connection I see at all is that both were created by Furman. Granted that fact suggests that there may indeed be a connection going forward, but we have zero evidence for it so far.

More pursuit of Thrust brings his pursuer's through a portal to a strange organic area. The rest of the Autobots gather to fight Unicron.

==Summary==

In the mysterious tunnels within [[Cybertron]], the kids explain to Hot Shot and Wheeljack that it was Starscream who brought the kids to where they are. Hot Shot advises the kids to return to the [[Axalon (Armada)|Axalon]] where it's safer, but the kids argue they can be useful, eventually convincing their gigantic metal pals. The group radios back to Prime with their status, where Billy and Fred feel neglected.

Meanwhile, Jetfire and Hoist continue to order [[Autobots]] to withdrawal from their positions. Blurr relays to Jetfire orders from Optimus to assist Hot Shot and Wheeljack bellow. Galvatron is satisfied with the Autobot's retreat, allowing his forces to easily take over Cybertron.

Thrust, still running from Starscream, dives through a strange portal. Starscream bravely follows into the unknown. On the other side, in an organic-looking area with Transformer husks around, Sideways finally appears. Starscream arrives soon after. Next, Hot Shot's group prepares to follow through the portal, Alexis making sure to put on a good luck charm first.

Sideways and Starscream come face to face. As is tradition, before the battle, Starscream declines an offer to join up with [[Unicron]]'s side of the conflict. Sideways attacks Starscream with a swarm of amoeba-like organisms. Hot Shot's team runs to assist, but Wheeljack and Hot Shot are attacked by more of the parasites.

The kids try to rouse the Mini-Con weapons into freeing themselves from Thrust's possession, and whistling from Perceptor helps the effort. Thrust and Sideways ignore the kids and leave, their tracks covered by tendrils. With no other options, Hot Shot and Wheeljack connect their backs and form a completely silly looking cyclone. Alexis lets Starscream join the team because she's Starscream's friend.

Sideways plugs the Mini-Con into Unicron's core processor, angry at Thrust for having not grabbed the [[Star Saber (Armada)|Star Saber]].

As the team moves through the caverns, they run into more suspiciously organic obstacles, seperating Starscream and Alexis from the rest of the crew. Starscream goes airborne to fly Alexis to safety, but Alexis (stupid) hops off Starscream (really stupid) to retrieve her [[Good Luck Necklace|good luck charm]] she dropped (very stupid). Starscream saves her.

Everybody manages to make their way to the surface, finding themselves to be on Cybertron's moon. The surfaces shatters and quakes, with Jetfire arriving just in time to save Hot Shot, Wheeljack, the Mini-Cons, and the kids. From a distance, it becomes evident that Unicron has been gestating inside of the Moon from the start. On Cybertron's surface, Wheeljack and Starscream depart.

Gilmer's myriad misadventures began when he and the other Decepticon Pretenders crashed on [[Earth]] [[8-Thousand Years Ago]], after a Space-born scuffle with their Autobot counterparts. The Pretenders, possessing the miraculous ability to shrink down to human size and disguise themselves with what appears to be [[hard-light holograms]], or perhaps solid shadows, took on forms in order to blend in with their new environment. The Autobots took on the appearances of the humans, and subtly guided the development of [[Early Man]], while the Decepticon's disguises were much more monstrous in nature. in fact it is said that they were the inspiration for the various demons that plagued pre-industrial society. Gilmer in particular took the form of an aquatic monster of some sort, and seems to be the inspiration for the numerous beasts the prowled the murky depths in the imagination of the unenlightened sailors of old. Gilmer and the other Decepticon Pretender's malicious misbehavior was eventually thwarted by the Autobots and they were sealed in three different prisons around the ancient world. Gilmer's prison seemed to be [[Atlantis]], or another sunken ruin of the same nature.

Gilmer seems to have some sexist prejudice against Mega, or her clear strong will, self-interest and playing favorites (as opposed to Giga's cold interest in their overall goals). Mega has phenomenal hearing, however, and pays him back for his implication that she's a hysterical woman by having Cancer use him as a training dummy.

He is blind to all but, his lust for power, his whims and desires at the mercy of the moment. Not even his own subordinates are safe. Though he is not beyond the capacity for long-term goals, it is his unpredictability and his casual disregard for any and all life that strikes such horror in friend and foe alike.

In 2005, after being mortally wounded in battle with [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]], [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] was left to float aimlessly through space. He was summoned by [[Unicron]], who offered him a new body, a warship and new troops to command, so long as he destroyed the Autobot [[Matrix]] of Leadership. Megatron reluctantly accepted and was upgraded into '''Galvatron''', a more fearsome and powerful warrior.

Galvatron quickly retook command of the Decepticons after killing the traitorous [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]] in the middle of his coronation as the Decepticons' new leader. He then went to Earth and attacked [[Autobot City]], full-force. [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]] lead him away from Earth and Galvatron chased him to the [[Junkion (planet)|Planet of Junk]], where he defeated Magnus and took the Matrix, intending to use it against Unicron.

Galvatron could not open the Matrix, however, and as punishment for his treachery, Unicron swallowed him whole. Inside Unicron's belly, he met up with [[Hot Rod]]. Though he initially suggested an alliance with the young Autobot against the mutual threat of his master, the Chaos Bringer mentally tortured Galvatron for his attempted treachery and then forced him to attack Hot Rod. Hot Rod eventually managed to wrest the Matrix away from Galvatron and open it, leading to his transformation into Rodimus Prime. Flush with new power, Rodimus hurled Galvatron's from inside Unicron and into deep space. But that was not the end of Galvatron.

In the year 2006 (or 2010, if you're Japanese), [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]] and [[Scourge (G1)|Scourge]] set out to find their lost leader and return the Decepticons to glory. They found him sunk in a lava pit on the distant planet [[Thrull]] and managed to free him. However, the effects of the "plasma bath" irrevocably altered Galvatron's sanity chips,rendering him omnicidally insane. Upon regaining his freedom he thrashed Cyclonus and Scourge and sundered Thrull.

Galvatron led the Decepticons on many wacky adventures against the Autobots, though usually botching it in the end due to his craziness (he loved shooting his own troops). At one point, his derangement became so severe, the perpetually loyal Cyclonus was left little choice but to dupe Galvatron into taking therapy sessions (albeit, by force) on [[Torkulon]], the therapy-planet. After nearly murdering a attendant during a word-association session, and somehow building a gun in a basket-weaving class, Galvatron was deemed incurable by conventional methods. The doctors attempted to use living extensions of the planet to give him a lobotomy (much to Cyclonus' disapproval), but Galvatron broke free and murdered the sentient organic core of the planet. After that, he razed the entire planet's civilization, leaving them so broken it would take centuries to rebuild.

However, despite his insanity, he teamed-up with the resurrected [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] to stop the [[Hate Plague]]. He wound-up becoming infected by the plague and attempted to kill an unconscious Optimus Prime with a spear. Optimus woke up just in the nick of time and opened the [[Matrix of Leadership|Matrix]] directly in Galvatron's face. The wisdom of the Matrix not only cured the Universe of the Hate Plague, but cured Galvatron of his madness, as well. Grateful, Galvatron sanely declared "There will be no war today, Optimus. You have earned Galvatron's respect" and called a brief truce.

Later, Galvatron called the truce off and led an assault on Autobot City, searching for the Key to the [[Plasma Energy Chamber]]. After obtaining it,he intended to use its the Plasma Energy to turn Cybertron into a mobile dreadnought. Teamed with the Transformer-[[Nebulan]] hybrid, [[Scorponok (G1)|Lord Zarak]], they were eventually defeated and sent tumbling through space,ushering Cybertron into a new Golden Age. After regaining control, Galvatron vowed to collect energy from disparate corners of the galaxy and return to Cybertron, though Scorponok made it clear he questioned his leadership.

During a massive brawl between the Autobot and Decepticon [[combiner]]s, Megatron took the upper-hand. To counter this, Optimus Prime ordered [[Metroplex]] to enter the fray. Metroplex rolled onto the scene and towered over his enemies, with City Commander Ultra Magnus in tow. Not to be outdone, Megatron ordered his ''own'' City Commander to enter battle. Beaming down from the sky on a ball of light, the silent and menacing Galvatron stormed the battle. Transforming into cannon mode, Galvatron fired a blast of energy at Ultra Magnus, who quickly transformed to robot mode and engaged his foe in hand-to-hand combat. As the fight seemed evenly matched, City Commander Galvatron's ''city'' finally arrived to tip the odds: [[Trypticon]]!

This catastrophic incident soured [[human]]-[[Transformer]] relations and led to the formation of the [[Earth Defense Command]], a governmental organization created to drive Transformers from the face of the planet.

Galvatron's Unicron-twisted cells, dispersed by the collision, spread throughout Earth's atmosphere. Born from these cells were the [[Legion]], an army of savage and vicious Transformers. Appearing all over the planet, the Legion quickly converged on the site of the impact, the crater upon which the headquarters of the E.D.C. had been constructed.

Galvatron appeared regularly throughout the manga supplementing ''Transformers 2010'' (Season 3), which acted as a supplement to the animated shows. Some of his devious schemes from the manga included creating a clone army of Megatrons, dubbed the [[Megatron Military]], and forcing a human scientist named [[Dalton]] to create weapons of destruction for him. He even fought alongside his nemesis Rodimus Prime against [[Guiltor]], a strange fusion of Optimus Prime and Megatron that threatened to destroy both leaders.

Later Scorponok, Galvatron's new mysterious assistant from [[Master (planet)|Planet Master]], went against Galvatron's orders and placed bombs all around Vector Sigma. Galvatron rushed to Vector Sigma but could not deactivate the bombs in time and was caught in the ensuing explosion, which was powerful enough to destroy Cybertron.

Galvatron was thought dead for some time, until he returned alive and well a few months later. He retook command of the Decepticons and enacted a new devious plot. Galvatron intended to transform Earth into his new Unicron-like body dubbed "[[Grand Galvatron]]", making him all-powerful. He told this news only to his most trusted warrior, [[Sixshot (G1)|Sixshot]], and also delivered the news that he intended to sacrifice all the Decepticons for parts to build the body. Not a good idea, as Sixshot betrayed him to Scorponok and Galvatron was left all alone to Battle the Autobot [[Headmasters]] in the North Pole. Galvatron was defeated by the "Head-Formation of Friendship" and buried alive deep within an iceberg.

Galvatron would remain buried in the ice until he was resurrected by [[Dark Nova]] as the new and improved [[Megatron (G1)#Battlestars: Return of Convoy (Japan-only)|Super Megatron]].

Some fans believe Galvatron is a psychologically distinct and discontinuous entity from Megatron, almost, or equally, as much as [[Scourge (G1)|Scourge]] and [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]] who demonstrate no continuity of memory or personality to their former Decepticon selves. This remains a topic of heated debate in some circles, in spite of a fairly unambiguous canon.

===Generation 1 cartoon===

In the G1 animated continuity, Galvatron evidently still self-identifies as being the same person as Megatron, albeit with greater power and a new name. Although not making a point of revealing this former identity to his troops at large (perhaps to cast off the potential stigma of being a "defeated" leader), Galvatron makes his sense of self clear when Starscream asks "Megatron? Is that you?", to which he replies "Here's a hint" before obliterating him.<ref>Some fans claim the "Here's a hint" line is a point in favor of Galvatron ''not'' being Megatron, instead of the far more likely intended affirmation, since Megatron "would never kill Starscream." However most fans would probably agree that Starscream had simply never pissed Megatron off enough to actually kill him before.</ref> Later in ''[[The Transformers: The Movie (1986)|The Transformers: The Movie]]'' when Galvatron is poised to crush [[Hot Rod]]'s neck, he boasts: "First Prime, then Ultra Magnus, and now you. Again, Galvatron is obviously speaking with no sense of discontinuity of identity or personality as he refers to past and current acts as both Megatron and Galvatron without qualification or distinction.

While some might contrast this statement, however, with his earlier line, "I shall crush you, just as Megatron crushed Prime,", interpreting that such a statement implies a disconnect from his former life, this too can easily be explained by Galvatron's apparent reluctance to allow his troops know that he used to be Megatron. While Galvatron would have fully expected the knowledge imparted in the later statement to Hot Rod to die with the callow youth, the declaration to Ultra Magnus was made in public, with his troops (and, potentially, other Autobots in earshot) present.

During season three, however, Galvatron made little or no further references to his past life as Megatron, though this could be a side effect of lying in a pool of lava for several months and his increasing insanity. Upon meeting the resurrected Optimus Prime in ''The Return of Optimus Prime'', Galvatron behaved as though simply picking up where he left off with his old nemesis from his Megatron days, as did Prime, saying that he knew him "all too well", indicating that the Autobot leader was capable of recognising his former adversary despite the change in name and appearance. Furthermore, in ''Five Faces of Darkness'', Astrotrain states that Megatron and Galvatron are "the same guy," implying that during Galvatron's absence, the other Decepticons (or, at the very least, Astrotrain) figured out what was going on.

And yet despite all that, a memorial of Megatron can be seen prominantly in the [[Decepticon Crypt]], implying that the Decepticons who built it considered Megatron to be dead. This could possibly be explained that the Decepticons built the marker before Galvatron returned and seized command, though their window of opportunity to build the thing was rather slim. {{storylink|Starscream's Ghost}}

Early advertisements for the Galvatron toy presented the character as an all-together separate being from Megatron, and in some cases, even being Megatron's ''underling''. The second [[Scramble City]] OVA was a remake of the original animated version, albeit including the Galvatron toy for promotion. Galvatron appears to fight his nemesis, Ultra Magnus, as Megatron barks orders from the background. This is likely due to Takara wishing to advertise the toy as quickly as possible, without full knowledge of the character's history. To maintain Galvatron's mystique, he was given the function of "City Commander", with no indication that he was an upgraded Megatron. Continuing this trend of unintentional disassociation, very early promotional artwork featured in [[TV Magazine]] and [[Comics Bom Bom]] also presented Galvatron as a separate character.

However, this era was very short-lived. In all official Japanese fiction, including the [[manga]] and the Japanese-exclusive cartoons, Galvatron is locked in as an upgrade of Megatron.

A good example would be the ''[[Battlestars]]'' series. Upon being resurrected and further upgraded, Galvatron reverted to the name Megatron once more (as [[Megatron (G1)#Battlestars: Return of Convoy (Japan-only)|Super Megatron]]).

===Marvel Comics===

In the US and UK Marvel comics the various time-hopping Galvatrons all demonstrate an awareness of having previously been Megatron with no strong indicators of a break in psychological identification. Indeed, at one point, a Galvatron said outright, "Like Megatron? No - I AM Megatron!" The closest that these Galvatrons came to identity crisis were incidents in which a time-displaced Galvatron was confronted by Megatrons (or copies thereof) and did battle with his former self. Although in these instances Galvatron experiences trains of thought that suggest he sees Megatron as a separate being and/or the source of his madness that needs to be destroyed, it should be noted that these are not the musings of a calm, rational mind. In these instances Galvatron is in the grips of a psychotic episode, which he generally snaps out of by realising that he is indeed the same person.

A possible explanation for why (any version of) Galvatron retains psychological continuity with Megatron while his fellow Unicron-creations do not may be that [[Thundercracker]] et al were apparently already dead or in total stasis-lock at the time of their reformatting, and thus it is widely speculated that only their bodies were used to create Cyclonus and company. Whether this indicates that they retained their sparks and merely suffered total mind-wipes (either as the result of recent death or by Unicron's doing), or if Unicron actually infused their reformatted bodies with new life-forces is unknown. (On the other hand, none of the other Unicron-created Decepticons have faced their past selves or deeds the way Galvatron has.) Megatron, by comparison, was clearly alive and awake at the time of his reformatting and struck a bargain with Unicron for "a new body", a deal which implies that his mind would remain his own.

Hot Rod was one of the many Autobots based in [[Autobot City]], on [[Earth]]. He was close friends with the young human [[Daniel Witwicky]], and seemed to have a reputation for being something of a trouble-maker, judging from a few of Kup's comments to him at the time. Realizing that the Decepticons were invading, Hot Rod opened fire on their stolen shuttle and exposed their ruse before Megatron could enter the city. Although this did give the rest of the Autobots time to begin transforming Autobot City and raising their defenses, it also left Hot Rod trapped outside with Kup and Daniel. After defeating the Decepticons [[Blitzwing (G1)|Blitzwing]] and [[Shrapnel (G1)|Shrapnel]] with some help from Kup, Hot Rod managed to find a way inside the fortress city and took part in its defense. During [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime's]] battle with [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]], Hot Rod intervened in an attempt to help, but succeeded only in giving Megatron the chance he needed to mortally wound the Autobot leader.

After Prime's death, Autobot City was attacked again - by [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]]. While escaping, Hot Rod and Kup (and the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]]) were separated from the rest of the Autobots and crashed on the planet [[Quintessa|Quintessa]]. There, Hot Rod met the Quintessons, an enemy who would haunt him for some time later. After escaping their sadistic trial and attempted execution (as well as meeting [[Wheelie (G1)|Wheelie]]), Hot Rod went on to the planet [[Junk]], where he was just in time to stop [[Wreck-Gar (G1)|Wreck-Gar]] from destroying the rest of the Autobot City refugees with a timely use of the [[Universal greeting]]. Together, they all traveled to [[Cybertron]] to stop [[Unicron]] before he could eat more than just its moons.

Inside of Unicron, Hot Rod was separated from the rest of his team when their ship crashed (something which happens to Hot Rod a lot). Alone, he found himself facing [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]] in a battle to the death over the [[Matrix|Autobot Matrix of Leadership]]. Claiming the Matrix, Hot Rod evolved into "Rodimus Prime", an older, larger, and more powerful version of himself, and used the power of the Matrix to destroy both Galvatron ''and'' Unicron once and for all (supposedly).

Peace reigned on Cybertron for at least long enough to put up some of the more important buildings, and Rodimus Prime began to ease into his role as the new Autobot leader. When Ultra Magnus and Spike Witwicky were kidnapped during a peace celebration, it was Rodimus who spied on the Decepticons with [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] to determine if they were the ones who had done it. The way Rodimus had it figured, the Decepticons were usually behind everything anyway, so they seemed like a good enough place to start. After getting caught and severely beaten by the Decepticons (who were innocent of the kidnapping, but not really fans of his anyway), Rodimus was able to interface with the Matrix and learned about the origins of the Transformer race. He also learned that his old enemies, the Quintessons, were back and looking to destroy every Transformer in existence. Making things worse, Galvatron soon returned as well, and the war that everyone had assumed was safely over quickly started up again.

During this period, Rodimus Prime's greatest achievements both revolved around his predecessor, [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]]. While fleeing from a Decepticon attack, Rodimus and several other Autobots took refuge in a massive Autobot crypt and discovered that their former leader seemed to have returned to life. Perhaps a little too trusting of Optimus (and possibly eager to relieve himself of the burden of leadership), Rodimus quickly passed the Matrix back to Optimus and, much to his glee, reverted back into Hot Rod. His happiness was short-lived, however, as Optimus was quickly revealed to be nothing more than a puppet of the Quintessons, sent to trick the Autobots into an ambush from which none of them would escape. With no other choice, Hot Rod was forced to do battle with Optimus Prime for the fate of the Autobots. Although their duel was clearly in the favour of the more powerful Optimus, Hot Rod was able to re-awaken the true spirit of his leader. Returning the Matrix to Rodimus, Optimus then piloted his ship into the heart of the ambush and sacrificed himself to save them all.

Or so it had seemed at the time. As was so often the case for Rodimus, things did not quite wrap up as tidily as he might have hoped. Far from being destroyed, Optimus had been retrieved by a team of human scientists who were hoping to use him (again) as a weapon against the Autobots - this time as the bearer of a malignant "Hate Plague" that would cause them to destroy each other. When he learned of this, Rodimus swiftly formed a rescue party and led them to retrieve Optimus' body so that their former leader could rest in peace. When all of the rest of the Autobots with him were exposed to the Hate Plague, only Rodimus was able to escape unharmed - and with the still uninfected body of Optimus. Returning to Autbot City, Rodimus ordered [[Sky Lynx (G1)|Sky-Lynx]] to find a Quintesson to repair Optimus, then risked his life to shut down [[Metroplex (G1)|Metroplex]] before the Plague could spread to it. Attacked by Ultra Magnus and Wreck-Gar in the process, he succumbed to the plague and became infected with hate. In order to stop the Plague, the resurrected Optimus had to defeat the crazed Rodimus and forcibly extract the Matrix from him, changing him back into Hot Rod once more. Even after losing his position as Autobot leader, Hot Rod was not the sort to rest on his laurels. Among other things, he was instrumental in championing the idea of human/Transformer binary bonding, a technique that later resulted in the [[Headmaster|Headmasters]] and [[Targetmaster|Targetmasters]]. Hot Rod himself became one of the latter, bonding himself to a [[Nebulos|Nebulan]] named [[Firebolt (G1)|Firebolt]].

Rodimus Prime faced numerous bizarre challenges within the pages of the Transformer manga. In one instance, Rodimus and his troops were taken under siege by a horde of Megatron clones calling themselves the [[Megatron Military]]. The Megatron Military made short work of Rodimus, leaving him to wonder how he could defeat a whole horde of the baddy, when Optimus Prime could barely deal with ''one''. Rodimus eventually realized that Galvatron was secretly controlling the clones and singled him out. With Galvatron defeated, the Megatron Military ceased to function.

During another battle, he was forced to team with his arch-nemesis, Galvatron, to defeat the all-powerful [[Guiltar]]. Guiltar was a creation built by the [[Quintesson]]s utilizing the powers of both Optimus Prime and Megatron. Together, Rodimus and Galvatron defeated their foe (who it turned was being controlled by the ghost of [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]]) and called off the truce.

After the events of "The Return of Optimus Prime", Hot Rod maintained a high-level position among the Autobots as well as a new sense of duty and responsibility. After [[Vector Sigma]] was under threat of explosion, Hot Rod raced all over Earth trying to find the Matrix, which was still being repaired after its confrontation with the Hate Plague. Hot Rod eventually found the Matrix in a hiding place on Earth and rushed it back to Cybertron. Racing down to Vector Sigma, he met up with Optimus Prime and the ghost of [[Alpha Trion (G1)|Alpha Trion]]. Alpha Trion repaired the Matrix fully and Hot Rod transformed back into Rodimus Prime. Together, Optimus and Rodimus fought side-by-side to defeat Galvatron and his goons. However, to save Vector Sigma, Optimus Prime sacrificed his life by merging with the super computer.

Rodimus became Autobot Supreme Commander once more and continued to lead the Autobots against the Decepticons. However, once again, Vector Sigma came under threat of destruction. However, he was unable to save it this time but managed to evacuate all of Cybertron before it was destroyed. In search of a new homeworld, Rodimus, [[Kup (G1)| Kup]] and [[Blurr (G1)| Blurr]] left the planet. [[Arcee (G1)|Arcee]] asked if she could go, too, but Rodimus made her stay behind because she's a girl, and girls can't do anything but stand around and worry and make coffee for the men.

In the concluding chapter of the Headmasters manga, issue number 8, Rodimus Prime returned from his journey in space. During his quest, he faced many dangers and hardships and learned a new admiration for the human race and the planet Earth. Technological advancements developed during the conflict saw Nebulans being bio-engineered into [[binary bonding|partnerships]] with the Transformers - Hot Rod became a Targetmaster, and was bonded the Nebulan sharpshooter, Firebolt, who transformed into his gun. Hot Rod's role in the war on Earth was, in contrast to his nature, a small, quiet one, as he served under Fortress Maximus, and then the resurrected Optimus Prime, with little to no notable actions performed for a prolonged period of time. Eventually, however, he began playing larger roles again when he turned the tide of battle with [[Pretender]] [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]] after he succeeded in injuring the villain, {{storylink|Skin Deep}} and made a particularly stupid move when he tried to snap Optimus Prime out of a funk by creating a mock threat with a [[Guardian|Guardian Mark V battle droid]]. Hot Rod joined an underground Autobot cell led by [[Kup (G1)|Kup]] after [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave's]] takeover of [[Cybertron]]. Among the members of the cell was [[Arcee (G1)|Arcee]], who Hot Rod became attached to.

From the [[Wastelands]], Hot Rod, [[Blurr (G1)|Blurr]], and [[Springer (G1)|Springer]] observed an incoming Decepticon shuttle carrying the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]]. Shortly afterwards, the cell rescued [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] from [[Runamuck (G1)|Runamuck]] and [[Runabout (G1)|Runabout]], and took him to their base. After awakening, Prime attacked [[Gnaw (G1)|Gnaw]], Blurr, and [[Wheelie (G1)|Wheelie]], forcing Hot Rod (who didn't recognize him) to hold him at gunpoint. After being admonished by Kup, Hot Rod apologized.

After Shockwave unleashed the [[Guardian Robots]] on [[Iacon]], Prime organized the resistance cell and other Autobot forces on the planet in an assault on Shockwave's citadel. Fighting alongside the Autobot leader, Hot Rod was amazed that the stories Kup had told him about Prime's courage and heroism had all been true. As an injured Prime breached the citadel, Hot Rod, Ironhide and [[Springer (G1)|Springer]] provided cover fire, taking down a number of Guardians in the process. Along with the rest of Iacon, they witnessed the divine light of the [[Matrix of Leadership|Autobot Matrix of Leadership]] when Shockwave activated it.

As Prime and [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]] battled Shockwave within the citadel, Hot Rod and [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] took down [[Astrotrain (G1)|Astrotrain]] and [[Blitzwing (G1)|Blitzwing]]. Immediately afterwards, they were confronted with the looming threat of a remaining Guardian Robot - a threat that was soon neutralized by the arrival of the [[Wreckers]], the [[Autobot High Council]], and [[Defensor (G1)|Defensor]]. The unified Autobot group soon breached the citadel.

Some time later, Hot Rod ran a simulation combat scenario against Kup, and won using tactics that, in Kup's opinion, would have killed them both had it been real. Only after his victory did Hot Rod remember that he'd promised to take Arcee to see an [[Earth]]-bound shuttle launch - a duty Springer was happy to relieve him of. Soon afterwards, he was assigned to perimeter guard duty at [[Autobase]] with Gnaw and Wheelie, separating him from Arcee.

===''Universe: The Wreckers''===

A few months after the destruction of [[Unicron]] in 2005, Rodimus Prime spearheaded an effort to establish multiple recon posts to watch for advancing threats... even though some of his scientists said he shouldn't. When only two of the five launched ships were ever heard from again, Rodimus felt like a schmuck. Guy can't catch a break. {{storylink|Betrayal}}

After the Great Wars ended and the [[Pax Cybertronia]] was signed, he changed his name to simply "Rodimus" and decided to check out the new "[[Maximal]] upgrade". His relationship with [[Arcee (G1)|Arcee]] effectively ended shortly after, as the latter went through dark gripping emo depression over the death of [[Daniel Witwicky]] and vanished.

Rodimus joined the [[Wreckers]] at some undetermined point afterwards. After [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] took over Cybertron with his [[Vehicon]] drones, Wrecker leader [[Apelinq]] got stranded on prehistoric [[Earth]], leaving Rodimus in charge. True to form, he ditched leadership duties to [[Primal Prime]] as soon as possible.

After Primal Prime got his marching orders from the [[Oracle]], he met Rodimus deep inside Cybertron's caverns, where an even more gothy-emo Arcee --in a new Maximal body-- lurked and stewed in her depression. Realizing he couldn't convince her to give a damn about anything, he left, rejoining the main Wrecker force in battle. Making it onto an ancient Autobot shuttle, the Wreckers blasted off.... with late-arrival Arcee. {{storylink|Departure}}

Rodimus recognized the homing beacon emitting from [[Archa Nine]] as one of those missing exploration parties mentioned before. When the shuttle landed, Rodimus stayed behind to help repair the damage the ship had suffered. The entire Wrecker team later gathered in an [[Akalouthan]] village, where Rodimus was reuinted with [[Glyph]], who took them to see the artifact known as the [[Divine Light]]. The Wreckers' analysis of the item was cut short, as it was stolen by the traitor [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]]. Rodimus saw the back-in-his-old-body [[Devcon]] off, who was sent to chase after Cyclonus, while the Wreckers made for their next destination... even though several of them were now leery of the visions Primal Prime had been getting. Because they've really done ''so well'' by the Wreckers so far. {{storylink|Betrayal}}

Upon landing on the frozen planet, Rodimus was part of the search party immediately dispatched to look for... something. Primal Prime wasn't too sepcific. They came across [[Al-Badur]], an exiled [[Quintesson]], who gave them a little history lesson. They were then promptly attacked by a school of [[Sharkticon (G1)|Sharkticons]], but the Wreckers made short work of them. they made their way back to the ship, with Al-Badur in tow, and made for their next destination... {{storylink|Disclosure}}

Hot Rod (in his [[Micromaster]] form) rescued [[Teletraan 15]] from a strange mechanical monster, a [[Great Novaroid|Novaroid]]. Teletraan 15 noted that Hot Rod was considerably smaller than she remembered him.

Irked, Hot Rod laid the blame for the [[transwarp]] holes in space-time on 15. It was through these holes that this future/alternate version of Hot Rod and the Novaroid had arrived in Teletraan 15's time.

Things probably turned out allright from that point.

Unfortunately, everything that could go wrong did go wrong. First the generator malfunctioned, then [[Download]] tripped the security lasers around the Magnificence itself. Gizmo, Download, and [[Backbeat]] were destroyed by the security systems while Hot Rod and [[Doubledealer|Dealer]] fled. Hot Rod, nearing the exit tunnels they had previously drilled, got a call from Dealer - he had been ambushed by a Decepticon attack squad and needed help. Unfortunately, Hot Rod had been given his own, top secret orders: the Magnificence was to be the top priority of the mission, and placed before all else. With a heavy heart, Hot Rod abandoned Dealer to his fate as he left Ki-Aleta with the Magnificence.

Years later, Hot Rod learned that Dealer had not died that day; he was being held prisoner at the Decepticon penal colony known as [[Styx]]. Hot Rod stealthily infiltrated the prison complex, using a holomatter generator to disguise himself as a guard and then short-circuiting the power grid to cause all the cell doors to unlock. Recently, Hot Rod was called to Earth to aid the crew of the [[Ark-19]] in procuring a Decepticon [[facsimile]] from a former Soviet state in eastern Europe. He and [[Hardhead (G1)|Hardhead]] went down to Earth from the [[Ark-32]] against [[Nightbeat (G1)|Nightbeat]]'s wishes, and proceeded to join the battle unannounced. As Hardhead went to support the main battle, Hot Rod went after the facsimile... which lead to him colliding with [[Prowl (G1)|Prowl]] as they both tried to stop the facsimile from letting himself get gunned down by Soviet soldiers. He succeeded in the end, but before he could return to his ship he was attacked by [[Thundercracker (G1)|Thundercracker]] and [[Skywarp (G1)|Skywarp]], unable to defend himself because he had to keep the facsimile alive. After returning to the Ark-32, he had to be put in a CR Chamber to recover. His injuries were in vain, as the facsimile melted during the bounce.

In return, he steals underwear for her.

He enjoys fishing and carries a customized rod that can be converted into a forearm-mounted weapon called the "Exhaust Eliminator". Shāo-Shāo doesn't like working with him after a fishing trip due to the smell, but she secretly wishes that he would take her with him anyway. Hot Rod is also suspicious of Optimus Prime, and claims that he is not the ''real'' Optimus, presumably because he still believes his former commander to be dead following the battle of Autobot City.

Hot Rod has the distinction of being the only known robot with a Kiss Player partner to have lips. This may contribute to Shāo's feelings of excitement when she kisses him, though the rest of the time she's a bit outraged that a robot would have the audacity to talk to her like a person.

It is used in much the same way as [[shellformer]], or as [[seeker]] used to be; while not in any official sources, fanfictions are rife with it, making it part of the greater [[fanon]]. It mostly likely originates from the term "[[Wikipedia:Herald of Galactus|Herald of Galactus]]" from various Marvel comics, given the similarities between Unicron and [[Wikipedia:Galactus|Galactus]].

==What is a "Herald?"==
While many characters are Unicron-related, not all of those characters are generally thought of as "Heralds". While the term is distinctly fan-based, it does carry certain stipulations. For example, Galvatron was rebuilt to serve Unicron and lead his "armada" of rebuilt Transformers, which include [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]], [[Scourge (G1)|Scourge]], and an indeterminate number of [[Sweeps]]. All of these characters are often thought of as "Heralds", even though Galvatron's loyalty was wavering. Conversely, [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]] is generally not concidered a "Herald", for the simple reason of his complete lack of loyalty. Starscream never intended to serve Unicron and so abandoned the Planet Eater after getting his reward.

==Insignia==
The insignia of the ''[[Beast Wars Neo]]'' faction, the [[Blentron]]s, has been associated by some fans with the "Heralds". The symbol looks vaguely Unicron-ish, and the Blentrons were created by him, so the assignment is not totally arbitrary. Some custom sticker suppliers, like Reprolabels, have developed faction sigils and rub symbols with the Blentron logo as a "Herald of Unicron" faction symbol for characters who serve Unicron. The Blentron logo was latter utilized in this capacity by an official source with the release of [[E-Hobby]] [[Overcharge]], who because of his characterization as a [[drone]] could work for many different factions, and thus included the Blentron symbol in the event that they buyer would prefer if Overcharge's allegiance lied with Unicron.

Blackarachnia was born from one of the [[Maximal]] fallen [[Stasis pod]]s. [[Tarantulas]], watching a black widow fight and devour another spider, was inspired. [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]], observing the slim and attractive Blackarachnia transform and strike a few poses, suggested that he had "ulterior motives behind her beast form selection." But, she was a Predacon, and that was what was important.

Blackarachnia made herself renowned among the ranks of both the Maximals and Predacons as a severe headache to Megatron. When Tarantulas found out about the [[Vok]], he tried to craft a stasis pod escape ship for himself, and she was there to forge a partnership {{storylink|Spider's Game}}. When [[Scorponok (BW)|Scorponok]] and Blackarachnia journeyed to the island, she was there to shove him out of the way and take control of the island herself, only defeated by [[Tigatron]] {{storylink|The Trigger, Part 1}}. When [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]] took control of [[Waspinator]]'s body, she was right next to him when he betrayed Megatron, betraying Starscream ''back'' {{storylink|Possession}}. When the Vok were moments away from returning, Tarantulas and Blackarachnia both again teamed up in an attempt to flee the dying planet. Megatron, already aware of the next move, used their deceptive tendencies against them, and acted unaware of their treachery. As they built their escape ship, he installed his own variant on the design, making it unescapable once sealed and in space. Though it did not destroy either of them, the result was even better: [[Optimus Primal]] wound up in the pod and was destroyed instead. {{storylink|Other Voices, Part 2}} Blackarachnia's wits saved her, as she convinced Megatron that he would need soldiers, which gave him reason to spare her life. {{storylink|Aftermath}}

When an energon blast sent her and Silverbolt into the middle of the dense jungles, they were forced to work together. Blackarachnia, though attracted to him, was endlessly frustrated by his seemingly idiotic chivalry and need to treat her special. Megatron, listening in to their commlink chatter, was disgusted by the obvious romance going on. Blackarachnia, though she held it under a firm charade of bitter irritation, rather liked the treatment and affection. {{storylink|Bad Spark}}

Megatron sent Waspinator to the location of the Ark. Blackarachnia, realizing what it meant, abandoned her post and went instead. Silverbolt followed her, and stubbornly refused to leave her alone. Exhausted and in a hurry, she conceded and told him to dig. The two broke through the mountainside, just as Megatron - having broke free from [[Ravage]], arrived. Megatron knew Blackarachnia had the codes to the Golden Disk that would allow them to get by the Ark's security systems, and he threatened to vape Silverbolt. Bitterly, she agreed to his demands.

Blackarachnia used the Ark's security system to cover Megatron's back, not sure of what he was planning. Once he fired upon [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]], history began to change, wiping out all Maximals...which included herself. Not willing to die for Megatron, she activated [[Teletraan-1]]'s security nets to force Megatron off the ship. With Silverbolt's help, they got the dying Autobot leader under life support and begun the repairs. The Maximals, recognizing what she had done, reluctantly allowed her to join their ranks. {{storylink|Optimal Situation}}

Later, Blackarachnia took the [[Transmetal driver]] and attempted to use it on herself. Silverbolt, not realizing what she was planning, bailed her out of the contraption. A security system Tarantulas installed had been triggered by her tampering with her core, and the only way to fix it was to cut the Predacon [[shell program]] loose. Reluctantly, she agreed. An attack on the Maximal base disrupted the attempt, and she was deactivated.

Distraught, Silverbolt took off to avenge her death. He easily subdued Tarantulas, and was moments away from executing him when [[Rampage (BW)|Rampage]] attacked him. In Beast Machines, Blackarachnia was distraught and confused - she was locked out of her robot mode, back in her original body, all of her allies were gone, Silverbolt had vanished, and she was being attacked by what looked like Cybertronian guards.

She had a relatively easy time adapting to her new technorganic form, but she was still frustrated by the loss of Silverbolt. When [[Thrust (BM)|Thrust]] saved her life, having strange recollections of doing so before, her mind was set - he was Silverbolt, mutated and made evil by Megatron.

Using some of the organic fluid from the Cybertronian core, she trapped Thrust in some of her webs and forced his inner personality out, begging for Silverbolt to answer. The reply was not quite what she was looking for.

When [[Jetstorm]] attacked, he also was caught up in some of her organic goo, and his true personality came out, sweeping Blackarachnia in his arms. Silverbolt returned, but just for a moment. The goo vanished, and their Vehicon minds returned.

Later, Blackarachnia managed to force Jetstorm into a large pool of the organic goo, and his body began to change. Scanning a nearby vulture skeleton, he awoke in a new body.

Blackarachnia was startled by the change in him. Instead of the lovable chivalrous knight in shining armor, he was a brittle, haunted bot, tormented by the images of the evil deeds he did, and did by choice. Though he gave up on himself, she never did, urging Silverbolt to forgive his past.

Blackarachnia"... and thus, the mystery spider was confirmed, as the other test-shots in that group lined up with the name listings given in the sets.

The Constructicons did not initially have the power to merge into Devastator. That ability was given to them by Megatron after he warped their minds into servitude with the [[Robo-Smasher]].

Millions of years later, in 1984, Megatron had the Constructicons built on Earth to steal high-tech electronic components for his [[Power chip rectifier]] furnace, as well as tunneling under the [[Ark]] to destroy [[Teletraan I]]. Teletraan I, sensing the imminent danger, activated the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]]. The Dinobots responded and started pounding on the Constructicons, opening up a lava channel in the process. The battle not going in their favor, the Constructicons pulled out one last trick and combined into the super warrior, Devastator.

The returning Autobots saw the battle, but were unable to help (due to losing a tournament which prevented them from interfering with the Decepticons). Inside the Ark, Teletraan-I was able to show that Megatron had cheated and the Autobots rushed outside to help the Dinobots. Distracted by one of [[Hound (G1)|Hound]]’s holograms, Devastator was shot by Optimus Prime and fell apart into the lava. {{Storylink|Heavy Metal War}}.

Devastator was continuously called upon during battle for many years to come. Devastator was selected by [[Violen Jygar]] as one of his 9 Decepticon Demon-Generals. Devastator drilled deep within the planet, reaching the Zodiac's chamber, and went toe-to-toe with [[Dai Atlas]]. He managed to get the Zodiac first and pass it off to [[King Poseidon]]. Devastator had the upper hand in battle until Dai Atlas opened a vein of hot lava upon the Decepticon. Devastator was washed-away in the molten magma, apparently killed by it.

Along the way, he demolished the World Trade Center. That terrorist scum.

===Marvel Comics continuity===
The Constructicons were the first (and, as it turned out, the last) new Decepticons created by Shockwave on Earth, using the residual power of the Creation Matrix that was within his captive Optimus Prime. Their first misson was to construct a massive communications dish, allowing Soundwave to broadcast a message to long-lost Cybertron. When the dish came under attack by a squad of Autobots, the Constructions merged to form Devastator, much to the surprise of the attacking Autobots.

Devastator was powerful and tough, but slow and confused as well. Soundwave was connected to the scrambler dish and unable to defend himself; when Huffer threatened to destroy the dish, it took Devastator quite some time to figure out which Autobot Soundwave wanted him to attack ("Destroy Autobot.... which Autobot.... not these Autobots...")

When Bomber Bill cut Soundwave's connections to the dish, causing feedback which destroyed it, he ordered the Constructions to disassemble and retreat, noting that their performance as a single unit had been "notably deficient."

Devastator reappeared when Optimus Prime lead an Autobot offensive on the heavily fortifid Decepticon coal mining base. The defenses held the Autobots to a standstill, and Shockwave ordered the Constructicons to merge to tip the balance in their favor. But the attack was a nothing but a ruse to draw out Devastator. Bumblebee was monitoring the Constructicons' transformation pattern, and as soon as he successfully recorded it, Optimus Prime ordered a retreat. The information eventually allowed the Autobots to create their own team of combiners, the Aerialbots.

After Megatron freed the other Decepticons from [[Adam Rook]]'s control, he sent Devastator down the west coast of North America. Along the way, Devastator destroyed a US Navy submarine, before arriving at his destination, San Francisco.

Devastator helped destroy the city until he was initially stopped by [[Superion]], and finally put into stasis lock when [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] shot him point-blank in the head. He wandered off and got his rear handed to him by the drones guarding the abandoned [[Hive]] city, and came crawling back (literally) to the other Autobots. When Optimus Prime arrived to pick up the Autobots on Nebulos and drive them to soccer practice... err, I mean, fly them back to Cybertron to help stop Galvatron and his all-out invasion of the planet, Cerebros decided to stay behind with Spike Witwicky, and help rebuild the Hive city he discovered to become Fortress Maximus. They later arrived on Cybertron just in time to battle their Decepticon counterpart, [[Scorponok]]. Cerebros afterwards asked Spike to deactivate him, not wishing to witness any more warfare. Spike showed him that Cybertron had been restored to a new Golden Age, and Cerebros broke out of his suicidal-pacifist funk. He was later assigned, along with the other binary-bonded Autobots, to protect Nebulos. Cerebros said that Optimus had made him the happiest girl alive... well, something to that effect anyway.

The precise origin of the Godmasters is somewhat confusing. The only version of the story offered in the course of the Masterforce war was a version told by [[Giga]], full of the lies and half-truths propogated by [[Devil Z]]. [[Shuta]] and [[Grand Maximus]] would later clarify some points while discussing various other unclear events that had happened to them, but some of the specifics remain ill-defined at best.

Godmasters came to exist as the end result of the machinations of the self-styled [[Decepticon]] "god," Devil Z. Seeking to create the ultimate super-robotic lifeform, Devil Z aimed to merge Transformers and humans into singular beings that could control [[Chokon Power]]. To this end, he stole eight Transtectors from the [[G Nebula]] - one of which was intended for use by [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] - and hid them on [[Earth]]. The seven smaller Transtectors were scattered across the planet, while the largest was buried deep in an ocean trench alongside Devil Z himself, where he slept for an unknown number of years. All evidence suggests that the Transtectors arrived on Earth in the forms of featureless black rocks of varying shape and size, and that several of them subsequently took on the shapes of Earthly vehicles through unknown circumstances - notably, through coincidence or design, the Transtector intended for Optimus Prime became a red-and-blue truck cab.

Precisely when this theft occurred is not explained, making Prime's involvement also a bit confusing, as he was dead at the time of the Masterforce war. Whether or not his Transtector was intended as an upgrade for him while alive or as a method of somehow resurrecting him is unclear. To further obfuscate the matter, Grand noted that a robot from planet [[Master (Headmasters)|Master]] was also intended to bond to the body. Devil Z's version of the story is no less confusing, as he claimed that the Godmasters were originally one singular Decepticon god-like entity, which broke up as it entered the Earth's atmosphere. He thus presented the Godmasters as children of this god, hence their name. But everything suggests he was just lying his non-existent butt off.

Whatever the specifics of the Godmasters' origins may have been, Devil Z's plan came to fruition some time after the Transformers departed Earth after the defeat of [[Scorponok (G1)|Scorponok]], when a human couple named [[Mega]] and Giga came to his attention. Bonded to the largest Transtector together, Mega and Giga became [[Overlord]], and were charged by Devil Z with creating a "Masterforce" of Decepticon Godmasters to serve as his army. Mega and Giga soon found the German brothers [[Hydra and Buster]], and brought them to North America, where they bonded with two Transtectors that had taken the form of jet fighters.

Devil Z, however, had miscalculated - the remaining Transtectors that he had stolen were all intended for [[Autobot]] use. The next Godmaster to appear was [[Ginrai]], a Japanese trucker living in America, who happened to cross paths with the Transtector intended for Optimus Prime. Next was [[Lightfoot]], whose automotive-engineer father had mined a rock-form Transtector for minerals to make a car, leading the car itself to become Lightfoot's Transtector. Soon after, Canadian forest patrolman [[Ranger]] became a Godmaster by bonding with the mineral-state Transtector he had found in the mountains, and British racing champ [[Road King]] discovered that his own F1 racer was a Transtector to which he became partnered. All four of these good-hearted men joined with the Autobots, as did the final Godmaster, [[Doubleclouder]], who briefly dallied with the Decepticons before realising their evil nature.

With Ginrai's upgrade into God Ginrai, Devil Z witnessed just how truly powerful Godmasters were as a result of their human components, and came to greatly fear the potential for power that existed not just within Godmaster humans, but within all of mankind. He decided to eradicate humanity, and his first step was to grant Buster and Hydra's desire to become true robots, removing the human aspect from them and creating purely-robotic Godmasters. He subsequently brought the Overlord and Doubleclouder Transtectors to life as well. When God Ginrai then defeated and destroyed Devil Z, the bond between the humans and Transtectors that he had created ceased to exist and the humans were separated from them - however, the Transtectors continued to live on as Godmasters themselves, and battled each other in the G Nebula during the command of [[Star Saber (G1)|Star Saber]].

==Technology==

By all appearances, the creation of a Godmaster involves as much science and technology as it does more undefinable, almost supernatural, energies, in the form of Chokon Power. During their time in the G Nebula, the Transtectors absorbed Tenchokon, the "power of the heavens," the energy of the universe itself. When hidden on Earth, they complimented that with Chichokon, the "power of Earth," the energy that gives the planet life. The addition of the third and final power, Jinchokon, the "power of man" - added by bonding a human to one of these Transtectors - brought the Godmasters to life. The presence of these three unique energies within their bodies gives the Godmasters power over all three types of Chokon Power, making them easily the most powerful breed of Transformer. This energy can be generated for a variety of different offensive purposes - see the energy's [[Chokon Power|own article]] for more details.

A human is bonded to a Transtector via [[Masterbrace]]s, a pair of small golden bracelets worn on the human's wrists. When the human touches the bracelets by crossing their wrists with a shout of "Masterforce!", they are transformed in various ways, with the most readily obvious difference being the manifestation of a suit of armor around their body. Additionally, the human gains enhanced strength, agility and reflexes, and most importantly, the ability to turn their cells metallic and transform their armored bodies into crystallized souls called Iacons and bond with the Transtectors. When this connection is made, with a shout of "God On!" the Transtector transforms to robot mode, and is entirely under the control of the human. This partnership is often mistakenly interpreted as the human "piloting" the Transtector in some way, directing its motion from the point on the body where they connect to it - in truth, human and Transtector become as one entity. The human ''is'' the Transformer.

Godmasters have incredible regenerative abilities - small injuries heal so quickly that the naked optic cannot even detect it, leaving the Godmaster appearing as if it never even took damage in the first place. Even more severe injuries - for example, those sustained in falling from a cliff - can heal in a matter of seconds. A sustained, continuous attack can prevent the Godmaster from healing, but in general, they are ''remarkably'' hard to kill.

==Flaws==

Whereas other -master partnerships tend to be voluntary decisions made by the entities involved, albeit often made out of necessity, there is virtually no choice involved in becoming a Godmaster. Once Masterbraces are donned, they cannot be removed, whether the human wants to do so or not. Although one could potentially ignore the ability to combine with their car and just try to carry on living a normal life (if they were capable of ignoring the moral responsibility such power conveys), they are almost sure to come under attack from Decepticons, as are their relatives or friends. They're stuck with the burden, whether they like it or not.

Additionally, in the event that a Godmaster should be deprived of any one of the three types of Chokon Power, it is exponentially weakened. Buster and Hydra's transformation into robots left them without Jinchokon; Devil Z substitued his own [[Devil Power]] in its place, but the superiority of Jinchokon was evident when God Ginrai succeded in defeating the robotic brothers. Similarly, the separation of the humans from their Transtectors left the Transtectors unable to use Jinchokon; consequently, God Ginrai was killed with comparative ease by [[Deathsaurus]].

Lyrian also named and designed the color schemes for the [[e-Hobby]] Transformers [[Rosanna]] (which unfortunately bears an uncanny resemblance to [[Flip Sides]]) and [[Angela]]. She voices these characters in the radio series as well.

She claims to have become a Transformer fan by watching the G1 cartoon as a child growing up in Italy, which may explain her character name choices.

The Sector Seven website is an [[wikipedia:Alternate reality game|alternate reality game]] website. As time has gone on, there have been different passwords that open up different and more advanced areas of the website. The various story elements so far include:

*An experiment on the Allspark itself that created a lifeform that almost escaped. The Allspark was used on low-power but the resulting life-form's near escape and murder of a Sector Seven scientist means these experiemnts on the Allspark have been put on hold.

*Scientists within Sector Seven arguing with the military that contact should be made with "NBE Two" (Optimus Prime) to form an Alliance. The military is refusing to listen to such suggestions.

*A mysterious "Agent X" is hacking their system and 'leaking' the information to us. Agent X could be a rogue Sector Seven member as he insinuates, but the popular theory is that he is a Decpeticon; possibly Barricade or Frenzy.

*Actual email addresses exist and fans are bombarding the addresses. Some have received replies along the lines of "Keep watching" and "Follow The Cube."

*There have been three passwords thus far, but the second was removed after an apparent "hack" by Agent X. As time goes on, the site will presumably reveal more content and plot line surrounding the movie.
