Synopsis
Within the Predacon base, Megatron dozes in his quarters, an opportunity which Rampage uses to make a grab for his Spark. His efforts earn him nothing but painful punishment and a sharp rebuke from the suddenly-awake Predacon leader.

Elsewhere, Rattrap, Silverbolt and Cheetor are searching for another Pred jamming tower in a mountainous, seismically unstable region; Megatron monitors them, and sends Inferno and Rampage to deal with them. Worried about the growing earthquakes, Primal heads out to back up his teammates. A huge earth tremor emits strange energon discharges, knocking out Rattrap and Cheetor and burying them under a rock slide. The quake also uncovers a buried stasis pod; Megatron immediately sends Inferno after it; Rampage follows.

Inferno arrives at the pod, which is badly malfunctioning. Silverbolt arrives and takes him out of the picture. Rampage arrives, intrigued by the pod's contents. As its computer warns that "deconstruction" is "imminent", he urges the powerful spark within to fight its way free. With a mighty shriek, the pod explodes, releasing its passenger.

Rattrap and Cheetor free themselves, and behold the new arrival: a strangely misshapen, almost skeletal creature. Rampage is impressed. He urges the newcomer to destroy the Maximals; Silverbolt counters that they offer friendship. The new robot doesn't seem to know what to make of either side, until Inferno returns, opening fire on the Maximals but hitting the new arrival instead. In response, it unleashes a sonic shriek that shorts out the Maximals and drives Inferno off. As the last one standing, Rampage leads "Transmutate" away, telling it that he is its only friend.

Away from the others, Rampage examines Transmutate. Inferno catches up and demands to return the creature to Megatron. Rampage is prepared to fight it out, till Megatron sends a holo-communicator to speak with the new creature. When it can't even transform, he deems it worthless and orders it destroyed; Rampage pleads to give it a chance to destroy the Maximal to prove its worth. Megatron agrees.

Primal and Silverbolt split up to hunt for Transmutate, sending the others' back. Rampage uses Transmutate to lure Silverbolt into an ambush; he and Inferno blast the Maximal unconscious. When Transmutate hesitates to finish off Silverbolt, Inferno bashes it aside and prepares to finish the job himself. Transmutate responds by blasting him over the horizon. Primal arrives and buries Rampage; Silverbolt's intervention keeps Transmutate from blasting Primal in defense of its friend. Primal and Transmutate take Silverbolt away, Transmutate revealing that it can fly. Rampage breaks free and promises that Primal will not have the creature.

At the Maximal base, Rhinox scans the creature and finds that its malformed structure and datatrax make it a danger to itself and everyone else. He recommends putting it into stasis, a suggestion that angers Silverbolt. As the team argues, Transmutate wanders off, then bursts out of the base in response to a call from Rampage. A still-fuming Silverbolt stalks off. Primal orders the team to find Transmutate.

Rampage welcomes Transmutate, but Silverbolt arrives, and a fight ensues, with Transmutate watching unhappily. As the two struggle, they eventually launch weapons. Transmutate lands between the opposing missiles of its two friends with a cry of "Stop!"; its energies destroy the missiles but overloads the creature, destroying it.

Rampage cradles the creature's head in his hands as its spark fades out. As Primal arrives, Silverbolt urges him to leave Rampage be; they are "brothers" for the moment, both mourning the loss.
Notes
* When new, this episode was at the center of an April Fool's joke gone horribly, horribly wrong. A copy of the script was altered by persons unknown at Mainframe Entertainment to include some rather lurid scenes, such as Rattrap mounting Transmutate. Regardless of whomever the victim of the joke was intended to be, the altered script found its way onto alt.toys.transformers, to the horrified chagrin of the fandom.
* As if that weren't bad enough, the script was leaked before the episode actually aired in the United States, leaving the fandom debating whether the entire story, and the naughty bits in particular, were actually legitimate.
* This episode features one of the rare instances of Inferno referring to Megatron by name rather than as "Royalty" or "my queen."
* This is the first episode of the series in which Waspinator does not appear.

Technical/Animation glitches
* When Transmutate unleashes a burst of energy upon exiting its pod, knocking Silverbolt and Rampage for a loop, Rampage is missing his robot mode "kibble". He is also missing it while he is trying to step on Silverbolt during the last battle.
* When Silverbolt declares to Rampage "This one is not for you!", he's missing his wing assembly.
* Rampage has lots of problems with his backpack this episode. His right-shoulder kibble (the wheeled joint) is out of alignment in multiple scenes and he is missing his entire backpack assembly when Transmutate knocks everyone out the first time. Poor Rampage.
* How the hell is Cheetor holding Rattrap in mid-air by the tail? His paws lack opposable thumbs!
* When Rampage drives up to the cliff where Transmutate's stasis pod in tank mode, just before he transforms to robot mode, his crawler treads just disappear. They don't retract, just vanish.

Continuity errors
* Rampage calls the protoform Transmutate before he actually asks it for a name and goes through his "Part transmetal," description and decides upon the name, Transmutate.

Transformers references
*Rattrap claims that Arcee is his great-aunt.
*Also, Susan Blu, Arcee's voice actor, provided the voice of Transmutate.
Synopsis
Dinobot, Rattrap, and Cheetor attempt to hold off six Predacons some distance from their base, to allow Rhinox to complete his mission to travel through the Allspark. When Megatron orders them to take no survivors, Silverbolt protests, saying they should let the Maximals surrender, only to be struck by the irate Predacon commander. When Silverbolt is perplexed by their resistance, Megatron realizes that they are keeping them from their base. He orders Waspinator and Silverbolt to head to the Axalon. Cheetor takes to the air, and Rattrap converts to vehicle mode, ordering Dinobot to hop on and provide cover fire (disgusting the former Predacon).

Tarantulas, however, is using the psychic link to force Blackarachnia to search for information on the Golden Disks. While she searches through the files, she discovers something of importance, but refuses to show Tarantulas. When Tarantulas is rendered unconscious by a boulder, Blackarachnia downloads the information, then destroys the computer, claiming that it was boobytrapped.

Reaching the Axalon, Silverbolt is shot down by the autoguns, and captured by the Maximals. Dinobot prepares to destroy him, but Rattrap and Cheetor prevent him, instead taking him in to repair him. Rhinox, who has finished, tells the Maximals they must hold the Predacons off for a little while longer. Inside the Axalon, a charge hits the device Rhinox was connected to, heading to a stasis pod with a blank protoform. Outside, the shields fail under the fire, and the Maximals engage—to discover that they are out of ammo. The Predacons seriously injure the Maximals.

Having waited a long time for their victory, the Predacons approach, prepared to deliver the killing blow. Before they can finish the Maximals off, there is an explosion in the hull of the Axalon. When the smoke clears, the Maximals and Predacons alike are shocked to see the cause of the explosion—Optimus Primal. The Predacons attempt to destroy him, but Primal, now with his own Transmetal body, causes the Predacons to scatter. Primal takes to the air, dispatching the rest of the Predacons. Megatron attempts to kill Primal, but Silverbolt knocks Megatron off a cliff, defecting to the Maximals.

After the battle and some repairs, Primal inquires as to how the new bodies do with absorbing energon. Rhinox remarks that all the energon within the area either detonated or was converted to Energon cubes, so it isn't really a problem right now. They'll have to wait for Tigatron and Airazor's report on the rest of the planet. In the meantime, Primal remarks that he has to put his house in order, such as get to know the new additions, and remove Rattrap's personal effects from his quarters.
At the Predacon base, Blackarachnia tells Megatron that Dinobot stole the Disks and destroyed the computers. Megatron and Tarantulas ask if anything from the back ups can be recovered, and when Blackarachnia reveals that it was totally destroyed, Megatron smashes Tarantulas into the wall in rage. Megatron then declares that the Beast Wars has entered a new phase, while, unseen, binary code flashes across Blackarachnia's eyes.
Notes
Trivia
*After Rattrap throws a rock in the air as an example of what would happen if they moved away from the cover of the boulder, it's blasted into a tiny pebble and hits the ground. All three Maximals' "eyes" then pop out of their heads towards the rock in the fashion of the eyeball gag in classic Tex Avery cartoons.
* Blackarachnia's theft of the Golden Disk data would have consequences carrying through the remainder of the series.
* Though neither admits it, it seems likely that both Tarantulas and Megatron see through Blackarachnia's sleight-of-hand with the backup data tracks. Blackarachnia tells Megatron that the computer was destroyed by Dinobot... after telling Tarantulas that it was destroyed because it was booby trapped. Tarantulas says nothing to contradict this lie to Megatron, and later interrogates her when the chance presents itself in "Bad Spark". Megatron likewise guesses the truth and attempts to strong-arm the data from her in "The Agenda (Part III)".
* This episode continues the Spaghetti Western film references, especially when Optimus fights Inferno.
* Speaking of Inferno, there were plans to have him be a reborn version of Megatron , but those plans obviously never came to be. This abandoned plot was hinted when the two flyers crash into one another, and recover only to find their heads on the wrong bodies. Megatron was capable of using Inferno's body during this mix-up to punch Inferno's head.
* It seems somewhat unusual that Rattrap would have Silverbolt (then a Predacon) sent to the CR Chamber instead of a holding cell (especially when you consider what was done to the deactivated bodies of Inferno and Tarantulas during "Aftermath"), but, since it did result in Silverbolt defecting to the Maximals, it all worked out for the best.
* As of the end of this episode, four of the eight members of Primal's team have spent time as Predacons, one way or another.
* In the Canadian broadcasts of this episode Tarantulas calls Blackarachnia "Widow" rather than "Witch".

Technical/animation glitches
*When Megatron opens fire on the Maximals the second time in this episode, his middle, ring, and pinky "fingers" are shown clipping through his cannon.
*While in pursuit of Rattrap and Dinobot, Megatron transforms from his beast mode in mid-flight and continues to attack from the air, yet his VTOL engines are inactive on his back rather than deployed.
*Before the Maximals begin getting hammered by the Preds, Rhinox is on top of Rattrap, with him either clipping through Rattrap's rear wheel, or the wheel has no interior.

Continuity errors
* Tarantulas and Waspinator arrive again mid-battle, despite having already arrived at the end of the previous episode.
* Waspinator and Silverbolt take off for the Maximal base twice, clearly going over the Maximals' heads a second time as they reassert the danger of the situation in different phrasing than before.
* Dinobot says his weapon is depleted, despite clearly having ammunition bandoliers criscrossed over his torso. The weapon gets fired more times before the episode ends, anyway.
* There's no real in-story reason for the Maximals to run out of ammunition before the Predacons, who have been unloading ordnance at them all night. Rhinox in particular should have fully loaded weapons when he enters the fight.

* The Transmetalization of Optimus Primal's new body doesn't quite fit the established Transmetal pattern, which is that bodies active before coming to Earth were Transmetalized (unless in a CR chamber at the time), while those "born" on Earth were not. As a raw protoform, Primal's new body seemingly should not be mutated.
* An earlier script revision called for the elevator into the Maximal base to be destroyed during the fight, giving Primal a more practical reason to blow a hole in the side of his own base. Oh well, maybe the big guy was in a hurry.

Transformers references
* While Blackarachnia is searching through Megatron's stuff, a gray model of Starscream's head is in the pile. (It's too small to be the real thing, given that Beast Warriors are shown later in the series to be much smaller than G1 characters. Part of a bust maybe? Ah, yeeesssssss.)
* Other items in the pile include a model Supermarine Spitfire, a model helicopter, a number of books, the Holy Grail, three identical spiky planets, A model rocket, a pocket-watch, and a rubber ducky.
* During one of Rhinox's trips through the Matrix, near the end of the episode, the Autobot Matrix of Leadership is seen floating.
* When Rattrap asks where Rhinox went, he describes the Matrix as "where all are one".
* Rattrap filled Optimus's quarters with his things, despite the latter's warning not to do so in "Other Voices".

Real-world references
*The Rat Patrol was a 1960s TV show about a group of Allied soldiers fighting Rommel's Afrika Corps on the North African front during World War II. A remake starring Dinobot and Rattrap would be awesome.
Synopsis
At the Predacon base, the ship's sensors detect two stasis pods that have landed in Delta Quadrant. Desperate for troops, Megatron and Inferno move out to secure them. Waspinator notices that there is only one moon now, and flies back into the base. Dinobot, looking from afar, also notices the planet's single satellite. Sneaking into the base, Dinobot corners Waspinator, who is looking at the Golden Disks. Grabbed by the thorax, Waspinator points out that there is only one moon now, and Dinobot explains the significance. They're on Earth, and the Disks can foretell the future. In a surprising show of ambition, Waspinator offers to join forces with Dinobot to steal the disks, but Dinobot uses Waspinator to deactivate the shield (by throwing him at it), then escapes and shoots the computers. Blackarachnia, hauling the deactivated body of Tarantulas to his lab, makes a half-hearted effort to stop Dinobot. Having been reduced to a crushed cube, Waspinator is forced to drag himself to the restoration chamber. Poor Waspy.

Meanwhile, the Maximals have found another stasis pod. Tigatron and Airazor are heading out for a more extensive survey to see what other effects the Planet Buster has had on the planet. Rattrap says that they should open up the pod, but there is no spark within, and the protoform is a blank. Rattrap asks what the use of that is, and Rhinox says there isn't a use—yet. Elsewhere, the two pods the Predacons are seeking activate their DNA scanners, but the scanners malfunction. Two Transformers emerge, one a wolf-eagle hybrid, the other a scorpion-cobra hybrid. Neither recognizes the other; the scorpion-cobra speculates that he could beat the wolf-eagle up, and attacks. Inferno arrives, and attacks. Megatron, observing, alters their command codes to become Predacons. Introducing himself, the Predacon leader shows them that they are Transformers. The scorpion-cobra names itself Quickstrike, and the wolf-eagle names itself Silverbolt.

Elsewhere, Dinobot is talking to himself about the two disks. Do they hold the future, or just what might be the future? A quick look would confirm how he dies, but it could be used once, and Dinobot could not live unless he were master of his own fate. Destroying them would be a coward's act, so he resolves to know the truth, but later. Placing the original disk under a rock, he takes the alien disk back to the Axalon. At the Maximal base, Cheetor is sent to find Dinobot, while Rhinox hooks himself up to some equipment for an unnamed purpose. Cheetor spots the Preds, but is attacked and pursued. Cheetor calls in his predicament to Rattrap, who prepares to wake Rhinox for battle, only for the computer to inform him that any disturbance to Rhinox—or the base—will separate Rhinox's core consciousness from his body. Dinobot arrives (hiding the disk) and asks what's going on, noting that Sentinel is on full alert. As Rattrap explains the problems, Dinobot, carrying more armament than a small battleship, declares that they must take the fight away from the base.
At the Predacon base, Tarantulas's mind is restored to his body, but he has left a psychic link with Blackarachnia, in an attempt to control her. Megatron contacts the base. Waspinator, finally revived, tries to tell Megatron what happened earlier, but Megatron orders them to link up with other Predacons. As Rattrap and Dinobot meet up with Cheetor on a dusty plain, the Predacons, double the Maximal numbers, prepare to attack.
But if the future can be changed, if these disks record merely one path of all the miriad ways the cosmos might conform, then their power is infinite, and yet, still limited. For they could be used but once, and in that change be rendered fiction, forevermore. I could destroy them! But no. T'would be a coward's answer. I will know the truth instead. Then, it will be either them, or me, that face oblivion. Till then!..."
Notes
* The remains of a third stasis pod can be seen near the two crashed pods. Shortly before Silverbolt and Quickstrike emerge, the remains of another robot can be seen, presumably the occupant of the wrecked pod. This may or may not be the same stillborn protoform seen at the end of last episode.
* As Rhinox explains about the blank protoform, the Cybertronix label on the stasis pod reads either as "dud" or "dod", depending how forgiving you want to be for flipped letters.
* This is the only episode of the series to not feature Optimus Primal in any capacity.

Technical/animation glitches
*When Megatron shoots Silverbolt the smoke from his shoulder gun barrels stay the same shape and in place even as he is moving.
*When Rattrap is explaining the events of the episode to a returning Dinobot, his left thumb is gold through the entire scene while the rest of his hand is silver.

Transformers references
*Silverbolt's line "I think my name is...Silverbolt. Yes! Pure, strong, and...and fast." mirrors the first line of the original Silverbolt.
* As he prepares to leave base, Cheetor's Maximal logo lights up and fills the screen to act as a scene-wiping transition, vaguely in the style of the Generation 1 cartoon.

Real-world references
* Dinobot makes his second Hamlet reference when contemplating the Golden Disks.
** Although more of a paraphrase than a quote, the immediately subsequent lines harken to Ebenezer Scrooge's final plea to the last of the Ghosts in A Christmas Carol.
* The final scene of the episode is a reference to old Spaghetti Westerns, right down to the music and the tumbleweed.
* Dinobot covers himself in mud to avoid the autogun's infrared sensor, a la Predator.
Ironhide awakes up on Cybertron... better, but all alone!!

Synopsis
On present-day Cybertron, inside an abandoned Autobot headquarters building, a console monitor beeps...

4 million years ago, Optimus Prime and a small team of Autobots are battling a squad of Decepticons carrying a small convoy of energon. Prime orders Blurr to disorganize the Decepticons by breaking through their ranks and force them to chase him. Windcharger wants to help too, but Prime tells him that he's not as fast as Blurr and orders him to stay and hold the line with Groove, then orders Prowl to hold the line as well. Prowl suggests that he can get to higher ground and pick them off if they go to the alleys. Prime orders Prowl to send Hound, but stay and command from the ground while Prime goes and flanks them alone. Prowl thinks it's suicide, but Prime warns him that if the convoy is delivered, then the city falls, something Prime won't let happen. Prowl suggests sending Silverbolt for an aerial strike, but a determined Prime tells him that he's going in.

Ducking into the alley, Optimus manages to avoid being sensed by Ravage, but is downed by a blast from Soundwave's concussion blaster. Soundwave then orders Rumble to tear Prime's optics out. However, before he realizes it, Soundwave notices a red Cybertronian truck run over Ravage and plow right into him. The truck them transforms and slugs Rumble so hard, he breaks half of his visor. Optimus, recognizing the Transformer as his friend Ironhide, asks what took him so long to save him; Ironhide replies with the retort that "slow and steady wins the race". Dragging the unconscious Soundwave, Ironhide asks Prime if he wasn't on planning to do something crazy like taking on the convoy by himself, to which Prime replies that Ironhide was running late, drawing a smile on his face.

Ramjet, leading the convoy, is annoyed that Megatron ordered him to guard the convoy on the ground rather that the air. Believing that Megatron has no vision, Ramjet starts thinking that he'll run Cybertron, but his knock down by the butt of Optimus Prime's laser gun. Prime tells the others that their "scout" needed to pay more attention, and that recruiting Decepticons with ambitious goals leads them to losing. Long Haul taunts Prime, asking if he's going to fight all of them. Prime instead says that they'll come quietly. When asked why, Prime says that his bodyguard is covering him with Soundwave's blaster, detonating the 75 tons of Energon they're carrying. Tankor calls Prime's bluff, thinking that Prime would kill himself stopping the Energon shipment and wasting four city blocks. Prime dares them to try, while Ironhide adjusts the blaster, laughing lightly...

Later, the Autobots celebrate their victory at their headquarters. Prowl is amazed that Ironhide help him, but is proud to call Optimus a "Prime", due to his inspiration to the Autobots. When asked if he intents to give a speech, Prime says that the speeches can wait tomorrow; for now, they want to celebrate. Optimus and Ironhide go outside and meet up with Kup, who starts the conversation by saying that Prime should go and give a speech. Prime says that he's just a soldier and that word don't come easy, believing that he would stumble his word like having too much Energon drinks at Maccadams'. Ironhide agrees with Prime, saying that since Prime can handle Decepticons, he doesn't to talk. Kup reminds Optimus that he's a Prime now whether he likes it or not, that it takes more than soldiering, and by seeing things past the tactical side of combat.

Optimus says that he does see things, but thinks that the Great War will continue for a long time, longer than any of them can imagine. When asked why he believes that, Prime says that he thinks they're fighting for a philosophy, an idea that no one can defeat. Ironhide asks if they aren't gonna win, but Prime counters that while an idea can't be defeated, it can be changed, but neither he nor anyone else knows what it takes to do that. Until then, Prime has to keep winning battles, and with that, he goes back inside to celebrate. Ironhide tells Kup that Prime's the finest soldier he's ever met and liked, but doesn't understand him, and neither does Kup, then Ironhide, too, goes back inside.

Surveying the party scene, Ironhide notices an unusual party guest: a white and blue colored Transformer standing there, not conversing, nor celebrating. Ironhide asks Silverstreak who the suspicious character is, but Silverstreak can't remember his name, nor does he care, wanting to get wasted on Energon. Studying some more, Ironhide's suspicions are confirmed when the guest suddenly alters his appearance and pulls out a rifle from his leg. Ironhide, shoving partying Autobots aside, warns Optimus, just as the would-be assassin, Axer, fires at him. Ironhide takes the blast meant for Prime...

...and wakes up screaming. Ironhide then realizes that he had a dream, and is lying on an table in the darkened Autobot medical facility, fully repaired. Realizing that the medical lab is empty, Ironhide walks out of the lab, then down the dark halls, calling out to anyone available. No one answers, and Ironhide stumbles outside, realizing that he's outside on present-day Cybertron, all by himself in the middle of nowhere!
Song collections
Though each Transformers series featured distinctive music, the songs were not widely available in the '80s. Some of them were collected together with non-Transformers anime and sold as part of massive compilations. With the debut of Beast Wars, that started to change. CD singles of most Beast Wars-era songs were readily available, and eventually albums compiling many songs began to be released. By 2003, the Generation One series would see similar treatment.

Generation 1
The Transformers: Revelation is the follow-up miniseries to IDW Publishing's The Transformers: Devastation. From June–October, 2008, Revelation was played out through four Spotlight format issues, focusing on Cyclonus, Hardhead, Doubledealer and Sideswipe. This four-parter marked the Autobots' confrontation with the Dead Universe Cybertronians and the end of the "-tion" series "for the foreseeable". It had previously been hinted that the following volume would be titled The Transformers: Expansion, but writer Simon Furman later stated that "the stuff [he] had (mentally) prepared for Expansion may still happen, just later or in a different form. These four Spotlight issues were in addition to the normal Spotlight series, notably, Spotlight: Wheelie.

The four Spotlights were to be issues #23–26 in the IDW overarching "sub-numbering", the only Spotlights to be incorporated in this way, though the sub-numbering has since been abandoned.
Overview
Nemesis Prime's corrupted crew prepares to unleash the Expansion, bringing the unlife of the Dead Universe into our own. On multiple worlds and fields of battle, the Autobots struggle to uncover the plot and find a way to stop it. Cyclonus confronts his inner berserker, Hot Rod finds the truth about Dealer, Hardhead accepts an inevitable destiny, and Sideswipe proves his own worth to himself.

Ongoing story arcs that were wrapped up with this series include Hot Rod and Dealer's battle over the Magnificence; the mystery of what happened to the crew of the first Ark, and their plot for Expansion of the Dead Universe; the theft of Thunderwing, Monstructor and Sixshot; Arcee's revenge on Jhiaxus; and the nature of Gorlam Prime and the Micromasters.

Creative team
The creative team from Infiltration, Escalation and through Devastation (writer Simon Furman and penciller E. J. Su) again worked on Revelation, though Su only illustrated Cyclonus and Sideswipe and provided a connecting cover for all four. Nick Roche, who also drew a cover for each issue, penciled and inked Hardhead, while Dan Khanna penciled Doubledealer (with inks by Frank Milkovich and Robert Atkins). Kris Carter was the colorist for Cyclonus and Hardhead, Liam Shalloo for Doubledealer, and E. J. Su colored Sideswipe himself.

Trivia
* IDW Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall made the decision to tie up the -ation run short here, explaining it as a basic business strategy for comics: "it's like any book on the market--sales start at a point and then they slowly dip until things are done to re-invigorate them... the reality is that sales numbers need to stay steady for a book to stay on the market. This isn't to say that things were by any means dire--they weren't at all--but we do need to occasionally mix things up so people don't just take a book for granted."

* Revelation is the third IDW miniseries in a row that borrows a title from Dreamwave Productions' The War Within: The Dark Ages series.

* Shane McCarthy has said that originally, Revelation was not going to happen; he'd started writing All Hail Megatron when IDW decided to let Simon finish his story off.
Utter destruction...

Synopsis
Thunderwing continues to devastate the surface of Nebulos, while on Cybertron, Bludgeon prepares to submit himself to the polydermal grafting process. On the dead planet's surface, Nosecone and Afterburner are attacked by Centurion drones, but are rescued by the Wreckers, who have arrived with Optimus Prime. The Autobots breach Bludgeon's bunker and rapidly overcome his team-mates. Iguanus flees to the pressure vat chamber, seeking Bludgeon, only to discover a massive figure wielding a glowing sword.

Darkwing orders the Decepticon infiltration unit on Nebulos to attack Thunderwing, but the monstrous being eliminates over half the attacking Decepticons within seconds. After their own attacks prove ineffective, Darkwing and Dreadwind abandon Nebulos. They send a message to Razorclaw, who in turn contacts the High Command. After being briefed, Megatron authorizes Razorclaw to do what ever is necessary to stop Thunderwing, even if it means destroying Cybertron in the process.

The Wreckers breach the pressure vat chamber and discover a catatonic Bludgeon within his shell, Iguanus, dying from being cleft in two by Bludgeon's sword and Jetfire, who tells Prime to shut Bludgeon's control throne down. Jetfire gets to work on the data in Bludgeon's computers, but an orbital warning sounds—with Bludgeon's control system destroyed, Thunderwing is returning home...
"Damn! Damn! Damn! It's all gone to Hell!"

Items of note
* Megatron's brief appearance in this issue links directly to the final panels of Infiltration #4.
* The Decepticomments section had readers' mail answered by Chris Ryall.
* Optimus Prime's hand-held rifles are pretty obviously those from his Powermaster body. This in mind, his arm-mounted twin-cannons could be inspired by the same toy.
*Apparently Japanese is a Cybertronian language, as evidenced on the monitor in the last panel.
